Excellent place to drop by for a quick snack or meal while on the go. Sushi seems to be made fresh daily in an abundance of varieties. Our favorite here had to be the spicy tuna rolls, Japanese snacks and cold green tea beverages. Clean environment with ample amounts of hand sanitizer sprinkled throughout. Most of the patrons properly social disanced but the store is super narrow so keep that in mind on your next visit. Great spot to grab some extra firm tofu as well. Great customer service with speedy checkout lines.

I love this place and everyone here is nice and knows their products. Ask any employee and they will point to what you are looking for or need. The store has good hours of operation, carries all the Japanese brands that you expect, including the nicest beers and prepared drinks, as well as to-go sushi that I must say is not bad at all. They even have uni trays on select days. For me one of my favorites Japanese stores.

As a resident of Meatpacking, I find Dainoubu to be a true gem of the neighborhood. This place is my savoir whenever I need to get some Asian grocery and cant find the energy to venture to Chinatown or K-town. This may be a small store but they really do have everything you need. I particularly love their Japanese breads/toast that are sliced slightly thicker than what you would get from an average bakery in the US. This store really has everything you need from Japanese beer, condiments, candies, vegetables to body care products. Even though this place is pretty stuffed with goods, its incredibly clean and organized. You really wouldnt expect anything less from the Japanese =)
