I stopped by Party City to grab a few things and was glad to see hand sanitizer at the door and cleaning wipes for the baskets. The store was very clean and it was easy to socially distance since the aisles are so wide. As always, there was a large selection of party decorations. Pricing could be better, so you’ll need to do some comparison shopping to ensure you’re not paying too much for things. For example, the helium tanks are about $12 more here than Walmart and Target. Some things you’ll only be able to find here, and that’s why I usually shop here.

Surprisingly low stock of Halloween costumes. The staff was helpful but not much inventory for kids costumes. This was a little more than 2 weeks before Halloween.

Wow! Aaliyah who was working as a cashier and on building balloon bouquets was totally amazing! Not only was she very talented at putting together all of the bouquets she also was multitasking like a boss and treating customers so kindly. Even customers like me who came in and didnt have a game plan but needed something very quickly. Aali yah did an amazing job and is probably not being paid enough for all of the things she had to put up with even in the 10 minutes I was just in that store. Great job Aaliyah and Crew thank you so much for the balloons my kindergarteners are going to love them!

This particular party city in Elmwood la did not have much of anything. Prices are still too high when most are able to make their party things at home or order online cheaper.

Great selection. All items are grouped by category. They have EVERYTHING you may needed for your themed party, color coordinated. I love coming here as I know it will be a one stop shop for all of the accessories for any party.

There is a helium shortage, so this was my third Party City in two days. The difference between this store and the others in the area is very big. Here, the store had items in stock that were missing from other locations, and the customer service was wonderful. Everyone I came into contact with, including over the phone, was helpful and knowledgeable.

Very poor customer service.The manager (Cherrelle or Charlotte, I don’t remember her name) is highly unprofessional and disrespectful to not only customers but employees as well. This was my first and last time shopping at the party city on harrahan.

Went the other evening. The big sign above the store wasnt lit so we thought they were closed but turned in and drove to check. Turns out it was open so we went in. Mardi Gras merchandise was almost non existent. There was very little of the party theme we were searching for. The store was clean and bright. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Absolutely amazing!We went for the after Halloween sale. And they were doing a clear out of it! We spent $27 on this visit. Saved $108.88.Love it!

Had to leave the Metairie store and went to the Elmwood store and received great customer service... will be shopping there from now on

Not enough help. They were very busy with balloons and no one at any of the cash registers. When I asked for help finding an item, they sent me to wrong area. (I had already searched 2 aisles on my own...even had the item package with me).

My preferred party city location. The employees are knowledgeable and make insightful recommendations in regard to product on hand. Definitely a larger location with many hard to find items in stock.

Everything you can find to throw a great party. I was there to buy party materials for my sons first birthday. Great balloon selection, plate and cup sets, lots of decorations. They inflate balloons on site so you can buy something online that interests you and go get it inflated. I think it was about .70-.99cents/balloon depending on the size of it.

Staff is very friendly and helpful here! Had no problems with that. They have a very wide selection of stuff that you would need from bachelorette parties to baby showers. I only gave 4 stars bc they didnt have what I was looking for. Its very comparable to that of oriental trading, almost exactly. I will be back for any of my party needs as my child grows, just not this year! Lol Theres handicap accessible parking and entrance available. Not an automatic door,but you can fit through with a wheelchair.

So it was my daughter’s birthday and we got here to this place to get a balloon! There is this rude guy that works here I don’t remember his name but I couldn’t get a balloon on my daughter’s birthday!! First the balloon she wanted to get that was on display the guy that worked there said he didn’t have and did not remove from display to let people know they are out of stock . Then I brought a balloon with us that I wanted to pay for them to inflate with helium and he stated he wasn’t going to do it because of the fact that the balloon might not be in good condition when the balloon I had was perfectly in great condition! Just such negative responses from him so I walked out of there with my daughter upset on her birthday with no balloon. So thank you PARTY CITY ( ELMWOOD LOCATION) for making a wonderful birthday for my daughter!! Will never spend a penny at any of your stores at all.

All the stuff you need for every kind of party you would ever have.

This is a hit or miss. You can generally find stuff in stock but the staff isnt that great. Theres been times Ive been and the staff is playing behind the register and wont check anyone out until theyre done playing. There was another time I went and 3 employees were filling up an order of balloons, which wasnt a big order, and let a line grow. So the store is clean, good stock, need better service though.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Went in to grab a costume for a gift and no one was in the back, so I went up front and asked if there was anyone working in the back getting costumes. I was told by who I assume to be the manager “no, it’s only us working and you’ll have to wait.” I waited for about 10 minutes up front and while he laughed a joked with the other employees blowing up balloons. I left and went to Spirit Halloween which is located in the same shopping center. If you’re in need of a custome, I suggest you skip Party City and go straight to Spirit or maybe a different location. We have a birthday party coming up and guess where we won’t be shopping.

They should try answering the phone once in a while. I called three different locations and nobody picks up the phone. Not impressed.

I needed some jelly beans in a particular shade of blue and they had them. That was cool.

Lots of variety but they never have much in stock for large party and better discounts use their online store. The brick & mortar store is best for small gatherings and office parties.

Great location with decent selection and friendly staff. Find supplies and goodie bag stuffers for nearly every occasion, especially kids birthdays as well as seasonal holidays like Mardi Gras and Halloween.However, while convenient, if you want even more variety or require large quantities - unless its the absolute last minute (as it was for me) - I would recommend other suppliers.

They offered me 2 stained costumes and nothing else. Went home with all my money and no costumes :(
