Although there are not alot of Food options the Bagel assortment is pretty solid. We ordered Bagel Breakfast sandwiches. The taste was also very good. The only thing that would make this place better would be a few more coffee options. There is a good Coffee Shop very close so maybe that is the reason they just carry a basic option.
Delicious fresh bagels! I love the everything bagel with chive cream cheese and lox. Yummy!
Great bagels and very fresh. Helpful service also.
I got the everything bagel sandwich with egg, cheese, and impossible sausage patty. The eggs are fresh and the bagels are pretty good, but not amazing. I wish they toasted the bagels for the sandwich, as the bagels are quite thick and bready and being toasted would add some texture. Lost an extra star for the price. My sandwich was just shy of $10 with no drink, which I think is a bit much for what youre getting.
If you want a phenomenal bagel, coffee that actually tastes good and great seating selections, this is your place! The bacon, egg and cheese on the everything bagley paired with cold brew to go, EVERYTHING! Was not packed, fast and friendly service, parking can be challenging but you will always find a spot. Walking up is best!
Good, fresh, bagels and cream cheese, but not really that big of a deal
So, the three stars doesnt mean its bad. It means they sell bagels and cream cheese and lox like other bagel establishments. And I would go back there and have been back many times. However, they close at 1pm or when they sell out. And they open at 7am. They dont take phone orders. So, its like every place else mainly. And I will be back. Perhaps if they made something interesting like sweet potato bagel knots and they tasted amazing it might be a five. But since there is nothing signature about them ( homemade doesnt make it special thats expected) a three it is.
Great bagels! Without a doubt one of the best, if not the best bagel in Nola. Good selection with daily specials to mix it up a bit. Breakfast sandwiches or Lox if youre needing a bit more than just a schmear. Definite recommend
Rude young woman running the counter..... Bagels are delicious though.Feels like April 2020 in there with the covid fears and angry (verbal) mask reminders when everyone working there is clearly a vaccinated Biden supporter... And everyone else is a vaccinated Tulane student.. the war is over ppl
Best Bagels in the south! Made fresh on premises. Get there early.
We are here 2 during our 4 day visit. Fresh OJ was awesome. The BEC was enough to hold me over for several hours. The bagels were definitely fresh they had chew to them you get with freshly boiled/baked bagels. 4 stars because more of a selection of bagels would be awesome, also the tables were sticky both days. Also there should be a better way to store the bagels so they arent out, there were several flies in the shop.
Humble Bagels not only makes the best bagels Ive eaten yet, but the staff is super kind and the menu has so many combinations that I would only tire of their offerings after several consecutive months of daily visits. Lots of drinks too, and in a pretty hip area. Will visit again when I return to New Orleans!
Bagels are so yummy, we buy them a dozen at a time and bring them home to put in the freezer.
The food and coffee are always great. They are always coming up with something new to try with their specials. Havent tried their cold brew or fresh OJ, but it looks pretty good, too. The staff are friendly and helpful. Theyll give you a taste of something if youre not sure.
Closet thing to a long Island back in the city. Great bagels!
I wanted one bagel without cream cheese (for only 1.77) and the staff didn’t judge me for such a small/simple order- in fact they welcomed me and I loved the bagel. It tasted freshly made and natural-no chemical taste. Will be coming back for a larger order this week!
Really tasty bagels. They also make a great bacon egg and cheese.
Get there early, avoid the line on the weekends!😉
The house-made cream cheese is excellent. These are the best bagels Ive had in the city
Great little shop with a real local feel. They took our order and got us out quickly even though the place was relatively busy. Daily special was great. The bagels are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The way a Bagel should be.
The best bagels in town. Need Ibl say more?
Still one of the best places to get bagels in NOLA. Quick service. Good covid guidelines.
Inventive bagels with awesome house-made cream cheese spreads. Specials change daily. There is usually a line and they can run out if you don’t get there early but it’s worth it!
Great place to start your day. They have a good collection of bagels. They also have some cold brew coffee and fresh orange juice. I really like their garlic bagel and the cold brew.
Stopped in on our way out of town. Baked fresh everyday and fast bagels! I extra appreciated the egg on my bagel sandwich being seasoned and cooked to perfection. Staff was super friendly and we took some garlic & everything bagels back to Memphis with us :) thanks again for a great breakfast sammie and putting the cherry on top of our trip to New Orleans!
Its friendly, happy employees, the spreads change, so you want to go back for more. Today I had cucumber dill. Amazing what they come up with! I always find a place to park and service is quick. I love bringing business partners there for breakfast.
NOLA needs more bagel spots but this one is pretty darn good. The everything bagel is nice and salty. Great for a Sunday morning.
Best cream cheese Ive ever had! Get their classic- everything bagel with chive cream cheese. Its a blessing after a night out.
Hole in the wall on restaurant that has people talking all over town about Bagels. Great food and reasonable prices. They do not skimp
The best bagels in the city, hands down. Consistently delicious.
Ive had many different kind of bagels from various places, but Humble Bagel sure knows how to make them. I really like smoked salmon and an everything bagel with smoked salmon here is just awesome. Theres a lot of salmon on it, capers etc, everything that it needs. Its my go to bagel place on NOLA for sure. Its quick and fair priced for the quality you get.
Bagel was above average. Vegetable cream cheese was sub-par. It seemed store bought i.e. Philadelphia Brand or similar. Its not that hard to dice fresh veggies and mix them into cream cheese. In NYC, cream cheese is typically on display in glass case. Here it was more of a mystery as to what you were getting. The prices seemed high. The equivalent selections in NYC would have ran me around $10. Here it was closer to $15. For NOLA, its great however by NYC standards, it has its flaws in product and pricing.
Best bagels in the city. Crunchy outside and soft inside. Just the right level of salt.
Best bagel hands down. My favorite part is how much they switch up the cream cheese specials. Honestly can’t get enough.
The bagel are really good and fresh. Also, the girl who took our order was super nice and pleasant. I am giving them a four instead of a five for 2 reasons, the amount of time it took to get our order was longer than expected for 2 bagels, and the lack of cream cheese variety. You would think that with bagel being your primary product there would be more than four super basic flavors. I will say, all of the food we ate was great, the staff was super nice and I will be back.
The absolute best bagel I have ever had by a long shot and the cream cheese flavors are adventurous and always delicious. I used to live near it and I would go all the time, now I will drive from wherever I am just to have one of their bagels
Pretty good stuff here. Really wish they made more salted bagels.Oh, and to the strange fella in front of me who took the last salted bagel... I hope you step on a lego block barefoot.
There was a long line but it moved pretty fast. The bagel was delicious and the people were friendly. After I ordered it took only minutes to get my bagel and cream cheese. If I lived here we would come all the time. Great job!
Great place for breakfast on the go or sit down and enjoy. The daily special bagels are awesome. Only wish they were open 7 days a week!
Definitely my favorite bagel place in New Orleans. They have a wide range of bagel types and bagel spreads. I love the salted bagel.
Everyone recommends but is out of business.
One of my favorite places ever!!! Lox bagel sandwich is absolutely delicious!!! Wish they had longer hours. You have to get there early because they close early afternoon and are frequently sold out way before they are scheduled to close.
The bagels here are awesome. So awesome, that they sell out most days. Their coffees are pretty smashing, also.Treat yourself. Be mindful that they are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Best bagels in New Orleans
Great bagel place in the Freret corridor. Choose your bagel, your cream cheese, any additional toppings, and toasted/not. Very inexpensive for a quality bagel with cream cheese. Also options of Lox, bacon/egg/cheese, and fresh squeezed juice. A regular spot of mine with very friendly servers! Highly recommend. Closes when they run out, which only experience is generally from 11-1230
Favorite bagel spot next to Steins. They’re consistent and the place has a great breakfast vibe for stopping in for a quick bite.
Taste of bagel was good but too dry. Door doesn’t close all the way and it got cold by our table. Overall customer service was great though.
No question, an absolutely outstanding bagel shop, and the best one that I know of in New Orleans. Big variety of bagels, cream cheeses, and toppings. My one word of advice is this: If you get a lot of stuff on your bagel (as I sometimes do out of impulse), your bagel will correspondingly get more expensive. Their fresh squeezed orange juice is fantastic, but a little pricey. Regardless, if you want a great bagel, this is the place for you
Great service and cute place, but food fell short unfortunately. I had an everything bagel witslabs and cream cheese, but bagel was a bit hard (at 10am), and both salmon and tomato cut in such huge slabs it was too difficult to even eat. Everything just slid out and made a huge mess, and the fish was just too fishy. I LOVE lox and bagels but I didnt even finish this :/
Oh my f-ing god. I absolutely love this place. I love it so much, that I am in Denver right now wishing I had a humble bagel. These are the best bagels I have ever had. The bagels are so perfectly made. The cream cheese is mind blowing. I would give anything in the world to have one last bagel from this place. Also, the owners, Casey and Tara, are basically the coolest people in the universe. And, if you go there, they really make an effort to get to know you. I have been in there so many times were they know every person in the restaurant by name and a nice little tidbit about them. I dont know, it makes you feel like an actual human instead of yet another customer.
This place smells soooo good but my bagel was super tough and hard to eat. Both my partner and I thought it was a few days old given how chewy it was, but I think it was just a bit overdone. His bagel was fine.Long line and apparently they can sell out on a busy day. They offer discounts for early birds (I think around 7am if you get a coffee and a bagel) and $1 off your next mason jar purchase if you order a juice or iced coffee in a mason jar.
I love humble bagel for an everything bagel and coffee. Cold brew is great also and comes in a jar. If you bring back the glass jar, you get $1 your next coffee!
Ive now been several times and the bagels are always fresh, and often they are still warm. They are baked just right with no need to reheat or toast them, and their cream cheeses are also very good. The Lox Bagel sandwich is at the top end for New Orleans bagels. Their service has been friendly, fast and efficient.
Best local bagel place! Try to get in a little early because they do run out. You can get classic bagle and cream cheese with tons of options for bagels, cream cheeses, and toppings. You can also do bagel breakfast sandwiches and buy tubs of the cream cheeses. Huge fan of this place!
I love this place. Great bagels and variety of cream cheeses. Excellent fresh squeezed juice from across the street in mason jars. Glad this place opened after Artz closed last year. Great bagels!
Amazing as always. Current featured cream cheeses are coconut curry and cucumber dill, both delicious. Love the everything bagels, both regular and whole wheat!
Really good bagels but they proudly sell out and suggest you come in early....I came in at 10 and they were already sold out of everything bagels for the day. I think thats a little ridiculous but other than that its good
Another place need bigger wait area and dinning area. all these places thats busy to upgrade to more space
Best bagels in the world must be the new Orleans water. Place is very crowded but the line goes fast. Staff is very friendly and will answer any questions you have.Quit reading and go get a bagel already
Great food and great service 👍👍👍👌👌And its always clean
They have your basics like eggs, meat and cheese in a bagel. Or turkey sausage. Their cream cheese selections were limited, I think theres only four (plain, strawberry, scallion and one other). They dont really offer a sweeter version...maybe some pecans with sweet potato spread...maybe do some scones w cream and curd...Loved the different trypes of SanPellegrinos.
This is the spot I always return to again and again for a nice breakfast bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. Done to perfection.
Decent place, attracts the college crowd. Bagels are great but not mind blowing good. Service is spot on everyone is friendly and courteous.
Absolutely the best bagel place in town. Huge, flavorful, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Wish they were open 7 days a week!
Amazing!!!!!!!!!!! Every aspect of HB from the service, to the price, to the cream cheese selection is an absolute home run. Keep up the good work, and keep pumping out THE BEST bagels in NOLA!! The only unfortunate aspect of all of this is that this particular review only allows me to give 5 stars. 😜
The store was busy, but everything moved fast and the staff was friendly and quick.
The everything bagel is to die for. Staff is very friendly. Worth the price but it is on the high side
Fat bagels. Pretty good, nothing fancy
Monday morning 11:30, sesame bagels were hard. I would try another place. Service was good though.
The lox bagel is incredible here!
As a transplanted northeasterner, these are the best new-york style bagels that I have found in New Orleans.
Great food, Good coffee, Great Service
Get there early..great bagels and toppings..simple and good.
Really good bagels and excellent cream cheese options.
Small shop with awesome bagels. The people are really friendly and prices are good.
This place is LIT AF, as the kids say. For real though, they are super helpful, everyone is super friendly, based bagels Ive ever had-amd I went to school in NYC. My rrecommendation--dont get bagels toasted. They make them every morning, theyre fresh enough! Toasting bagels is for covering up lack of tastiness. Not needed here.Ill never quit you, humble bagel.PS I think this is my first review ever. Just had to rate this place since theyre so good.
The staff was super friendly and the bagels were awesome. The flavored cream cheeses were perfect.
I love this place, been coming here since day 1. People are always friendly, the owners are great and the bagels are baked fresh daily, on premise.
Decent bagels. Long wait. Pricey for what it is. Everything was fresh though.
Great stop for the early bird special of coffee and a delicious bagel!
Best bagel I’ve ever had
Heavenly Bagels! Return your glass jar at the next visit to get a discount on your freshly squeezed orange juice.
Get the honey wheat everything bagels with bacon, egg, and swiss on it. You will not regret it. The juice and cold brew is pricey but the sandwich is worth it.
Nice and pretty much everything you need.
Full disclosure: I spent all my summers in NYC as a child, and Im a bagel snob. My mistake: I believed (seemingly credible) people who told me they were as good as an NYC bagel. They are not at all comparable to an NYC bagel, not even an NYC bagel that is just ok rather than notably good. These are bagels, and thats more than I can say for the limp circle bread you find at places like the supermarket or Panera or other chains. But they lack the density and chewiness of a proper bagel, and I was completely underwhelmed by the flavor of the egg bagel I had this morning. It wasnt a bad flavor, but it was barely a flavor. It tasted like someone had watered down one real egg bagel and distributed the flavor across a half dozen. Meh.However, I will give Humble full credit for some inventive and delicious cream cheese. I tried the chive (a classic that they did well) and the honey ginger serrano (a fun twist that totally delivered).I bought a half dozen of various flavors to go so that I can give Humble a proper chance. Ill update my review if anything changes my mind.
I placed a large order and everything was great. The service was excellent, the bagels were outstanding and the service was flawless.
The bagels aren’t that good and I was stunned when I had a bacon egg and cheese on a everything bagel..the amount of salt in the egg raised my blood pressure at the first bite. I’ve never had that much salt in an egg before. It was disgusting and extremely disappointing. I had to take the egg off. I wouldn’t even give it to my dogs ):
Really enjoyed the bagel sandwich and jalapeño cream cheese. Wish they had a water jug available.
Really great service and awesome bagel selections.
NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN!!! UNBELIEVABLY BAD SERVICE FROM THE OWNER/MANAGER of this establishment!!! His employee made a mistake and handed me the wrong bagel (with bacon on it so I couldnt even eat it). I found this out when I got to work and he spent the next 10 minutes on the phone BLAMING ME! You took the wrong bagel is the first thing he said... which is not how this shop even works. They call a name and give you the bag. I stepped out and back in and this tall bearded guy LOOKS ME IN THE EYE and hands me a bagel without calling my name, or confirming the order -- which I paid extra for bc apparently if you get cheese its considered a replacement for cream cheese.HIS MISTAKE, no big deal. Make me the bagel I ordered tomorrow, I request because Im already at work. I had to repurchase breakfast bc Im vegetarian. He told me he would NOT re-fix my bagel, continued to blame me and stalled on the phone like it was some other major things he had to do beside deal with me.I told him that he is clearly not from here. You will not last in this city in food like this. You can have an excellent product but if your are a solid douche bag it will come out in your costumer reviews... ie this one.
Great bagles and a host of cream cheeses within walking distance. Cant ask for much more.
