Got my catalytic converters stolen in New Orleans. The Midas store realize that we were out of a vehicle since we lived in Lafayette. They worked very closely with us to get our vehicle back and running again as soon as possible. Many thanks to the manager of Midas on Canal for his assistance.

TLDR; I installed a lot of aftermarket suspension parts myself and this place got it dialed in and aligned.I picked up a Acura TSX 08 from my in-law that had a meticulously maintained engine, but the suspension had never been touched for 150,000 miles. With a tight budget I Installed new shocks, front and rear control arms/ball-joints, as well as an adjustable camber kit for the rear (since most aftermarket shocks lower the ride height even if they say they dont.) I tried to get everything in there as best I could and I rolled it into the shop.Long story short: I know for a fact it was somebodies proper headache that day at Midas. I dont wish them another such headache but I must say they did a fantastic job. It feels and handles like a brand new TSX. Hats off to the crew!

These guys are awesome! The first time I brought my car in was for a complete break job. I dropped it off on a Saturday morning, and they had it ready by that afternoon. A few weeks later my check engine light came on, and again I dropped it off in the morning and had a diagnostic by the end of the day. Once the part came in Vincent had my car ready the same day. I would recommend them to anyone who needs work done from an oil change, tires, or any car needs Thanks again guys!

I bought my car in to get checked at 8:15 a.m. and at 4:15 pm that never check my car. They only had 3 cars on the rack when I got there. Not good!!!

I brought my car over to Midas Tuesday evening around 3:30 pm I was told by and employee (Kurt) to bring my car back in the morning for 7:30 I would be for sure looked at. After passing the shop & seeing my car still sitting there over 9 hours later I called they said someone would test drive 1 hr later I came to shop car still there nobody test drove like he said. I could’ve took my car some place else for the amount of time they held my car to not even take a look. It was totally unacceptable & I won’t be returning.

Since I know nothing about cars I began to panic that my brakes were going to just stop working. I took my car to Midas. Vincent greeted me immediately and calmed me down. I then spoke with a mechanic named Wayne. He was patient with me and explained everything to me in a way I would understand. He fixed what needed to be fixed. It would have been easy for him to take advantage of me like other mechanics have done in the past. I will definitely be taking my car to Midas for all my repairs. Thank you Vincent and Wayne.

Be cautious. After buying a Groupon, they will charge you significantly more once you get to the shop.In my one experience at this Midas, they filled my truck up with the non-synthetic after charging me an extra $40 for the synthetic. When I called them out, they drained my truck and refilled. I requested they flush the system, but they said it wasnt necessary.Also, they tried to upsell me at least 8 different packages. Very tedious all the way around.

Excellent. Great prices, very professional, very knowledgeable, great service.I had a master cylinder and an AC problem they troubleshot and fixed them for a better price than anywhere else I tried. They did a great job with a good turnaround time.Still driving on it to this day.Vincent is very straight forward and does great work.Highly recommended.

These guys dont know their right hand from their a**. Ive been taking my car here for over a year to get my oil changed. Well my car one day kept squeaking after every bump. I took it to a highly rated auto shop. This particular auto shop told me that my front struts were worn out. I bought the parts online but the auto shop was extremely busy and I couldnt bring it in. So because Id been here so long I asked them to install the front struts for me. The guy at the front desk said ok, Ill charge you so and so. I originally went in there for an oil change but thought it would be a good time to take advantage that I was going there already. Well I come back and the guy tells me these arent front struts and your car needs this and that and its going to cost you $1,500. Well I was so angry so I called the retailer that I ordered the parts from. I gave them the serial number and they confirmed that I had front struts. So I took it to the original auto shop who put the struts in for me. Now my car isnt squeaking. These guys are total rip offs and I will never go back, not even for an oil change.

I still can’t believe they never fixed my car. I payed $300 for the service they never provided. I wish there was a half star or no star at all, because one star is way to much for them.

Do not go here if you are a young woman with limited car knowledge. They will take advantage of you and try to sell unneeded parts at great cost and inconvenience to you. The manager is a smooth talker and tried to tell me there was a danger that I might be stranded on the side of the road if I didn’t get a brand new A/C compressor. Looking at the A/C compressor It seemed perfectly fine but I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to set me up with a refurbished A/C compressor for full price. I was also having trouble with my muffler and they said they wouldn’t be able to see what was causing the noise and that I needed a new muffler. The entire bill was 1400 dollars. I made up something about being able to get everything fixed under warrenty and left after just getting an oil change. I took a crack at fixing the muffler and got it done within 30 minutes. Now I’m 500 miles away from these snakes and loving my road trip.

Truly awful mechanic shop. Two hours to get an oil change and my air conditioner looked at.Manager always gone from the front desk and when approached has zero information to pass along on the state of my vehicle.Avoid this place, go somewhere worthwhile.

Another shop refused to align my lifted truck. These guys did it thoroughly at a very fair price. Truck drives dead straight and front end is tighter than it was before

I came here a year ago and got excellent t service, quality of parts, and pricing from these gentleman. Lawrence and Vincent have given me fair competitive pricing that was 1/2 of what others (not just bmw) tried to charge. I’m now back getting some break pads and rotor replacement and a brake flush. Very pleased and will be back, but not for a whole bc they use excellent parts.I don’t trust just anyone with this awesome machine (2012 BMW 535i twin turbo manual transmission) but it’s clear they know what they are doing which not all places do with luxury imports. Never go here. Far better mechanics in New Orleans who take care of their returning customers. Its nothing short of a miracle I was not in a major car wreck after seeing these clowns. Requesting new tires, but no wheel alignment was done, or even suggested. Just dont understand how they can not keep their customers safe. Only took a month before I needed new tires after the misalignment screwed them.Ridiculous. I was close to a blow out of the wheel on a major highway.

Very disappointed took my car there because speddy oil told me I had an small leak in my muffler, fix that and told me I had a small oil leak fixed that then when I drove off my oil light was on! He told me bring it back told me he is loosing 75 bucks because the Guy told him the part was bad! Once I drove off oil light still on! He told me how do I know if that light was on in the beginning! Like I was lying, very upset customer!! Than he said he should have never fixed my oil leak! Never again!!

I went to Firestone on Camp St looking to get my brakes my brakes fixed. They gave me an estimate over $1,200!!!! Needless to say I left and hoping that they would last past xmas.....they did not. Friday they went out and it was medal on medal so Saturday I had to have my truck towed in. We all are so worried to have to have your car towed to a mechanic because we all know what is coming. Well NOT at the Midas on Canal. Vincent was honest and told me that I did not need new rotors which I was told I did, I just needed my rotors turned and new pads, $294all in. I was not hammered with fees and add ons which Firestone wanted to do. I can honestly say that Vincent is the most honest mechanic I have ever dealt with and I would recommend him to my daughter.

Worst. Place. Ever. Sold us new expensive tires but Vincent didnt pick up on the fact that we needed a wheel alignment done which meant less than 6 weeks later we needed brand new tires and Midas refused to refund us or help us out in any way. We are currently $600 out while working on minimum wage. Wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy. Go ANYWHERE else.

Cost more than it should have to get one tire replaced, but they assured me they would have the tire rushed from their warehouse within 30 min and immediately on. Over an hour later the tire still hadnt arrived and then another 30 min for them to put it on. No apologies, same price. Last time I go here.

Went to see about getting air out of my brake lines. Had bled them already myself but still felt like there was some air left. Asked how much they would charge. They told me $92 an hour. Said forget it and started to talk away. Manager came back and got on my case. Dont know how they keep business with that kind of attitude.
