I am writing this review inside the dealership: I came to the area from out of state, had a great time and then when looking to leave I found a nail In my rear tire. The ride home was 2 hours. I called Powwrsports near closing and they immediately took me in and changed out my tire; Couldnt be more thankful. Excellent service and personable staff.
I want to a few different places to look and this place by far is the friendliest. Bought a new side by side and I love it. Will deff do business again!!
I made an appointment to have my bike serviced because it was not starting. Spoke at length to the technician about the details of the bike, we agreed on the soonest possible date (about a month out.) I called them before I was going to bring my bike up and the service tech said he had no recollection of me and I wasn’t on the schedule. My appointment was a few days away and when we spoke previously he told me I can bring my bike up whenever it’s convenient from me. I took notes during the conversation. Then he tells me he’s got 92 bikes that need service and that he can’t get me in when I made an appointment over a month ago. Sloppy and unprofessional business practice. He wouldn’t even accept fault that he messed up and wasn’t even willing to negotiate a time to fit me in despite his error.I’ll tell everyone I know never to come here. I’m totally blown away by the lack of professionalism. I never even leave reviews but this experience really did it for me. Waiting all this time to get my bike fixed and being excited that I can finally ride again and then I have to deal with this.
I bought my Motorcycle from them and extremely disappointed with their service department. I have faxed paperwork to them and called to get my bike fixed for months and yet, no call back. When I call they say they are to busy. Not very friendly. I recommend you do your research before buying a bike here. I’m right now making my move and Purchasing a watercraft, but won’t be from them. As for my bike, took it to a more local area and they were very professional and true to their word when they said; they will be calling back. In the process of being fixed.
Purchased my genuine scooter company buddy 50 cc New Haven powersports price is comparable or even lower than prices found on Amazon...ect .. and you dont have to pay shipping.. I recently purchased genuine 2-stroke motor oil.. gear oil... And a spare drive belt for my buddy 50.. all their prices are comparable or less then you can find online ie Amazon /ebay ... The parts department was very helpful and the service department answered all my questions about my buddy 50... Thank you to all the staff for a pleasant experience 👍
Awesome experience! Customer service was fantastic, Dan is extremely knowledgeable on everything in the store. I will definitely be back and refer others. You cannot go wrong here!
New Haven Powersports has very nice people in front younger gentleman at the back counter was kind and helpful, however, “Chris” in service must either own the place and be hardened by the business or maybe he hates his job. Will likely try to do business with them again, hopefully with better results.
Great spot for your motorcycle needs. Friendly staff, very knowable. They treated me like family.
Selection is great however service could be better. The one employee I dealt with in the parts department wasnt knowledgeable about the parts or about customer service and etiquette
Went in today looking for a scooter for my son, I had every intention of buying the bike even had Dan pre approve me for financing. BUT I went in looked around and legit Noone helped me at all I felt like I was a ghost oh well someone else can take my money....
Ive been going here for over 20 yes, staff is nice and professional
Friendly and helpful. Have become more refined and commercial over the years just like most others. Inventory of used motorcycles and new parts is almost non existent these days.
I didnt see a whole lot of selection, and i wish there were more customer service attention to customers as they walk such as, how long you riding ? What you looking for ? Different types of bikes i can show you?,etc like they do at car lots, i found this to be the situation at every bike shop i went to so far, i probally would have bought something it i got just a lul attetuon on my needs but oh,well, its my money and aint giving it to no place that doesnt make me feel welcomed,
I walk in looking to buy and no one said a word to me.walk all around.the dog got more attention from the sales associate than I did
Dan was professional and friendly, and took me through the buying process. He is very knowledgable and guided me in making the right choice. Highly recommend!
Great service, super friendly and nice collection to look at. Oh and the dogs are super friendly.
Excellent customer service
I dropped my bike off on Saturday and a week later it should be ready Saturday but the service decides to take the weekend off even though I needed the bike for Sunday. And they said they only let one technician work on the bike even though all they need to do is fire it up and see if it’s running fine
I purchased a Piaggio scooter at NH Powersports this summer. The bike is so much fun and the salesperson, Jodi, was great to work with. I recommend taking one of these for a ride. (I do... Everyday!)
Great experience with very professional and polite staff. They really went the extra mile while servicing my bike. Definitely going to recommend to any motorcycle enthusiast.
Always fast and friendly service from a very knowledgeable staff.
Extremely friendly, family run, and a pleasure to work with. They got me a great rate on my bike, persevered with me through the process of actually deciding which bike to buy, and didnt pressure me at any point.Helpful, friendly service dept too.Cant wait to go back to buy bike #4 from them.
Ive waited over 3 months for a tire on a dirt bike that they wanted almost $400 to get and put on so I picked it up and got a tire for the bike on ebay for $50 and put it on myself
The best buying experience of any motorcycle. Dan is terrific to work with and is extremely knowledgable. Negotiations were great and the whole experience wonderful. Dan took me through the facility and answered all questions. Upon delivery today he, again showed me how to work all aspects of the bike. The owner, Dave was extremely pleasant and gave me a terrific deal as well. There is a great vibe in the place. Go there and check out the shop. You will not be disappointed.
They will get the job done. Professional n experienced but will charge you for every nut n bolt. My only negative experience! Working in a shop myself you give a little back to the customer and specially when ur getting a big service.
Bought a brand new motorcycle from New Haven Powersports about 5 years ago. I give that experience a 5 star review. Salesman was great and even test rode a different bike (different color but same bike) before buying the one I ended up with. Felt like I got a good deal and was very pleased with my purchase. About 4 years into my ownership I decided to replace the stock windshield with an aftermarket one simply because I wanted a bigger one. In removing the old windshield I noticed 2 missing bolts and nuts. They are normally concealed by 2 plastic plates on each side (why they werent noticed as missing until I replaced the windshield) that fastens over them by another 4 bolts that hold the plates and the windshield together. So 6 bolts hold it all together (I researched to double check thats the case) but 2 were missing. The design of the plates would of prevented their escape even if they came loose on their own. What does this mean? It means that the tech at New Haven Powersports did not install them when putting the windshield on during final assembly since they receive the new bike in a crate all packed up. Now 4 were holding it on and Im sure thats enough to hold it fine under most conditions. However it was designed for 6 bolts, and Im thinking a shortcut was taken. It makes me wonder what other shortcuts were taken on my bike. I called their service/parts department and they wouldnt make good on the problem and I had to pay for the parts and shipping. For less than 10 dollars (cost of the bolts and nuts) they could of made this customer at least minimally satisfied. 5 stars for the buying experience. -1 star for customer service. -1 star for missing parts on a brand new bike in which shortcuts may have been taken. I wont be back as good customer service is the most important thing I look for in any business even over a good price. Some might think this is just nitpicking over something small but to me its the principle of the thing. Regardless it wouldnt of been any trouble for them to just send the parts since the cost was very minimal. Still my initial buying experience including the test ride was excellent for what its worth. Also still love the bike too, as its been a great machine to own.
Bought my first bike here, great experience. You are greated by one or two Goldens. It was nice to walk around and look and not be hassled. Buying was super easy and they were very accommodating with delivery. Would absolutely recommend.
Was interested in checking out this place after reading positive reviews and recently seeing a specific bike that caught my eye on their website. Greeted by two beautiful and incredibly kind golden retriever dogs. There were two staff members on their desks and didn’t even look away from their computers for a second to say hi until we approached the desk.I’m a retail store manager and I am overly familiar with providing excellent customer service and how you want people to feel welcome when they come into your store. Definitely did not feel welcome here which was so disappointing after reading how great the staff was.
Thank you to Dan.L at New Haven Power-sports! This is my first experience with this dealer and Dan was exceptional. I was interested for the new Kawasaki 636 and been communicating with dan via email/phone. Great communication, very professional, and engaged to help me get the bike I wanted. Dan told me the bike I wanted wasn’t in stock and was able to get it to the dealer less then a week! Very quick turn around! Overall I highly recommend this dealership! Inside was beautifully displayed and clean, and all the staff would say hello even if they were on the phone or interacting with another customer. I will be back soon to get my sons bike (ssr70)! Thank you Dan and New Haven Power-sports team!
This is the first time I have purchased a bike from someplace other than my friends dealership in New Jersey. I wanted a simple ride to get back and forth to work and decided to go the route of a scooter. Naturally I needed to have something that wasnt The Standard Scooter. Yup....I wanted a Vespa. Not only was it for the aesthetic, the thing is build like a brick $#!T House. :) Jodi was awesome. She gave me a great price, had the paperwork ready, took the time to go over the scooter and had it delivered later that day to my front door 50 miles away. Everyone in the dealership was helpful, patient and most of all....knowledgeable in what they do. I would recommend New Haven Powersports to anyone looking to buy themselves a new toy. Thanks guys for making my purchase great.Charles
I cant explain how awesome the staff was to me throughout the whole process. I bought my first bike and I am glad I chose New Haven Powersports! I dealt with Jodi mostly and I have nothing but praise. They now have a loyal customer out of me! Shout out to the whole staff there. Very friendly, not aggressive with pushing a sale.
Great customer service, bought a scooter and it was a pressure free and comfortable environment. They took the time and put forth the extra effort to make me feel like I was buying something top of the line. I will definitely be back when it is time to graduate from scooter to bike and I look forward to my next trip into the store.
Too many dogs off leach.....no concern for those of us who dont like dogs....hourly rate way too high ...
Stopped by on way home saw some great special made motorcycle there stuff is the best and they have an array of colors and different brands stop by you wont be disappointed...five stars for having bikes outside for all to see.
Dealt with service and sales department and it seems like everyone there needs an attitude check. They treat you like trash for a customer service oriented business. Go somewhere else.
Outstanding service. Mike and the other staff were extremely helpful. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of motorcycle parts and merchandise.
Great staff but service falls short of what I expected from such great people. Unfortunately there are no places to get A moped worked on that sells them. After warranty your out of luck and even under warranty your hoping they can get the parts from whoever they bought the bike wholesale to resale to you otherwise they will direct you to someone else to fix your bike or you to find your own parts.Dont by mopeds from motorcycle dealerships unless you want to learn how to fix mopeds.Anything else Id totally direct you to them. They will change tires and brakes on a moped... And Im sure if you had the parts they will service it for you as well. Great deals on everything! A huge selection of helmets. Ohh and a cute dog to greet you as well!
Always a good time going here. Helpful friendly staff. Service department is top notch!
Purchased a bike left there on consignment. The bike is great, and I love it! More importantly, youd never know that I wasnt buying a fleet of Ducatis. Everyone, Chris, Jodi, and Dan were all very friendly and extremely helpful. They let me store my bike there so that I could take the new one home and enjoy it for the weekend. They had all the paperwork set and ready to go during a very busy Saturday and had me out the door in very short order. I will look here first when buying my next bike.Great people who made a good thing (buying a motorcycle) even better. Thanks guys!
To sum it up: Too easy. Excellent price and excellent service. Salesman Dan Landan was extremely professional, responsive, and attentive to all my needs. From the initial phone call through delivery, everything went as smooth as you can imagine. Thanks NHP!
Unreal, didnt even look at me after walking around the showroom for 15 minutes. Went in looking for a new bike now I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere!
Everything was beautiful I was in and out customer service was also beautiful Joe Thats my boy you should run for president LOL
Bought 2 genuine scooters from then.very nice and helpful owner.would definitely buy from them again
Seemed like a good place to do business. Bought a scooter! Smooth transaction and they delivered it for me, 50 miles away.
In March of 2016 I bought a Suzuki Gsxr 600. 7207 miles, $6999.00. I didnt haggle, bike is beautiful. Jodi recently contacted me and asked me to continue as a customer. I agreed. The bike is absolutely gorgeous and I will continue using them as my local Go To Suzuki Authorized Dealer.
Took my bike to New Haven Powersports for a major service and to fix a problem that the original dealer couldnt resolve. As usual, Lody and Eddie were super-professional and went out of their way to accommodate me. Thanks guys, see you for the next valve adjustment!
Very kind and helpful at the spare parts department
Bought a bike from Dan at New Haven Power sports. Great bike, and great customer service. These guys a re a pleasure to deal with!
Purchased a 2016 959 Ducati from Dan, the price of these are standard but most dealers charge a large fee for shipping and setup. Dan Met me half way and I had no complaints since he was very helpful and rushed to setup the bike and complete the paperwork as fast as he could. Honest straight forward Dealership and solid costumer service.
I would not recommend this business customer service sucks. Bike they sold me was messed up I told them about they said it was fine. 2 weeks later I bring it in they told me bike was unsafe to ride and I needed to wait for them to fix it. Why let the bike go 2 weeks before finally acknowledging something is wrong
They didnt have what I needed in stock but took the time to find out where I could get it the same day. Would definitely go back.
Very good experience. Knowledgeable staff did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. Follow up was excellent as well.
Great people. Dan was very knowledgeable and friendly, when I decide to pull the trigger on an Aprilia, I will go here for sure!
As a woman with limited motoring experience, I was nervous to start looking at getting a scooter. We went in just to look and ended up buying @ a great deal! I was given a personal lesson (for like over an hour) by Jodi on how to ride and was able to drive several different models to find the right fit- all with ZERO pressure. This is a family-owned and operated business and everyone in there loves what they do, which makes it a fun experience.I cannot say enough about NH Powersports- The whole experience was fabulous! Thanks Jodi and Fam! We will definitely be repeat customers.
Just bought a bike here. Great guys no pressure. Bike was as described. Very happy.
BIKE WAS LEFT OUTSIDE FOR INCREDIBLY LONG TIME.. BIKE WAS IN MINT CONDITION WHEN DROPPED OFF. I EXPECTED IT TO BE IN SAME CONDITION. ALL DIRTY FROM MECHANICS AND WEATHER LOOKING SHOW ROOM WAS DISCOMBOBULATED AND DINGY. FELT PRETTY NERVOUS WHILE DRIVING TO AND WAITING AT THEIR LOCATION WITCH IS IN A VERY SEEDY PART OF TOWN. IF YOU TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR DUCATI TAKE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had my Kymco agility scooter serviced for a starter problem charged me an hour labor to change battery $100.00 also battery was $55.00 They also touched my carburetor without my permission and two days after I picked up my scooter my motor blows they want $1005.25 to repair in parts and labor for a scooter that cost only $1599.00 Im getting ripped by this great place come people give them your money
Awesome family owned business. From parts, sales and service the best.
Excellent service!
Jodi Green is awesome. I knew the bike I wanted (Aprilia Caponord Rally) but there just arent many dealerships around. I called two of the biggest in the USA and one never even returned my email and calls. Another offered me a good deal but I was always chasing them and they didnt have any in stock.Jodi came through with a great deal, great financing and for a very reasonable fee delivered it to my door, over three hours away. What can I say, everything went EXCELLENT!
I purchased Wolf scooter brand new 2018, it is stalling everytime I use the brakes, service department wants me to drop it off and leave it there for 2 weeks before they can even look/diagnose the problem. UNACCEPTABLE! HIRE MORE PEOPLE!
Do you guys still have Kawasaki’s
My experience with New Haven power sports has been nothing but great Im writing this review just cause I went on here to see there hours of operations for tomorrow morning and was bothered by a couple of reviews. When I purchased an atv a few months ago from a private seller I stopped in to purchase parts to give my kawasaki bruteforce 650 a full tune up. I can tell you one thing I left happy and content that the staff took care of me. I will be going back to spend more money I suggest you go there 2 and experience good service. Thanks guys
The best place to get a bike I would do some business with them again but the older guy in the service department is a pain in the ass and needs to work on his attitude and definitely dont need to remind me that he worked on bikes for more then 40 years and knows better then me and I know nothing everytime i visit or call service department lmfao
Ive serviced my bike there a couple of times, the service is great. The service manager Lodi is a real helpful guy.
I have to say that in the past two weeks I have had the pleasure of working with Mike Gonçalves and he was able to help me locate parts for my dads 1979 and 1982 Kawasaki motorcycles which are now located overseas and they were not able to locate parts there so I was directed to New Haven powersports and they made it all possibles... I thank you a milion times for all your help with making sure I had the parts in time before my flight which is this weekend. So if anyone is in need of parts Mike can find it for you... :)
Great place to buy a motorcycle! Dan is helpful and quick with every question.
I have been riding for over 35 years, owned 17 bikes (various brands and styles) mostly purchased new, from a variety of dealerships. Without question the atmosphere here is second to none and the entire staff from sales to parts to service is friendly, accomadating and very knowledgable. These guys are good and a pleasure to work with. They also rank at the top of the list for being dog friendly as their family pets are able to share the day with them. Simply put, nice people...
Bought a new (leftover) Suzuki from Jodi. Jodi and everyone there were easy going and never pushy. I started my search in January for the right bike, six months and several test rides of many different bikes at a few dealers later, Jodi gave me a fair price on the bike I decided was right for me. The process was all very easy without any stress (I wish car purchases were so easy). Thanks much to the NHPS team, I would recommend NHPS to anyone looking for a motorcycle.
Older guy in service was an ass. They did work I specifically told them NOT to do. They ordered parts and installed them without notifying me whatsoever. They had me sign the form when I dropped my bike off, and only when I left did they add the extra work they did and then claimed i signed off on the work. Will never go to this place again. Overall horrible experience. They boned me.
I called Lody in Service on the first nice day of the year and they had just taken 20 bikes in and he told me my 08 Hayabusa would be about a week. He asked what I needed and it was just an oil change and a couple quick cosmetic things. He told me to bring it down and they would get it done in a few days. They also discovered an issue unknown to me that would have caused serious damage to the bike, they took care of that promptly too. Great job Lody, thank you and I will be back.
Love the owner, great shop all in all with good prices.
Its ok....good service
I have nothing but good things to say about the sales team at New Haven Ducati, Dan (the young kid) and the old man (forgot his name) are straight forward kind of people, I handled buying my 2016 Ducati Multi Touring over the phone and it was super easy, BEST PRICE, and NO SURPRISE AT ALL. I would definitely buy again from this place... sales just ROCKS!
Actually is bad services at all they say I have to live my motorcycle for one week to do services and vibration problems too, the funny parts is im buy a new motorcycle from on this store and return a parts they are not warranty, not help at all on the services area the guys are mad and confuse to you, you are the problem and they kick out on that place
Ive owned my Kawasaki motorcycle for 9 years. When I took it for new tires a few years ago, it developed a wobble. I tried to fix it myself then took it to a reputable repair shop but the problem still persisted. I found Powersports on the internet and decided to give them a try. It was the best decision I made. Not only were they friendly and accommodating, they solved the problem. John, the mechanic walked me through every attempt he was making until he corrected that wobble. If I could, I would have given this business 10 stars.A very satisfied customerJoe Marangio
Here is my story, kinda of long but good. In May, I put a down payment on 2 SSR bikes, sr70c for my son and sr189 for myself, at my local dealer. I let them know that I will picking up the bikes at the end of July for my sons birthday. It was a big surprise for him. I was advised to call 2 weeks prior to be sure that they had the bikes in stock. Go back to pick them and they only had the 70c and not the 189. Since putting a deposit down, they were trying to get me to purchase a different bike. It was nice but not what I wanted. While they were prepping the 70, I went outside a searched for the next closet ssr dealer, NH POWERSPORTS. Gave them a call and Jodi promptly answered the phone. Asked if they had the 189 in stock and they did. I said ok I will call you back within 2 hours. Finished the paperwork on the 70 and was advised the the 189 was on backorder and couldnt get it right now. They were a nice dealer, prepped the bike fine, but the reason I went in May was to be sure both bikes were there at final purchase. I was serious as I did leave a deposit. Here is where nh powersports comes in. I called Jodi back and gave her a deposit over the phone and said I will be there tomorrow morning, I was coming from a state over. I got an email from her with the invoice and pictures of the actual dirt bike. Got there the next morning, the paperwork was ready, payment made, and bike was prepped. A service guy went over the bike with me, loaded it in my truck and strapped it down. Within 30 minutes I was on my way home. The deal was easy. No hassle and everyone is extremely friendly. I will do business with nh powersports in the future when my son is ready for his kawasaki. This dealer understands that customer service is a big part of a deal and it is no surprise that they have been in business for this long. Keep up the great work!!!!
Called this morning, emergency (last minute trip plans), could they change out a tire today. Yes, come over well do it while you wait. Home run number one.All finished, go to start the bike. Nothing. I have a Concours and its the gd key fob. Presumably, battery dead. Twenty minutes later the manager comes over and says, $5 for the battery, $100 diagnostic fee. Funny guy! Very generously, they took the time to figure it out and replace the battery, all at no charge. Home run number two.Excellent and timely service, very nice people. And two beautiful and friendly Goldens lying on the showroom floor. I would (and will) go back in a heartbeat.
This place is terrible. I purchased a moped from them and two months later, when i tried to change my oil, the bolt was on two tight. And the same thing happened two months after that incident when my belt snapped and i tried ro get the bolts off. They put them on so tight, that you HAVE to go back to them for services. These people are crooked as the day is long
What a great experiance, the staff is so professional full of knowledge. it was a great to be taught about the new bike just purchased, they made me feel like i was part of the family ..i give this family owned business a five star rating because they deserve it, i love the new aprilia Rsv4-Rf that they sold me amazing machine
Lody in service is very knowledgeable and friendly, but the business overcharges for parts and labor, and Im not sure the other mechanics know what theyre doing. They had trouble diagnosing my bikes problems and wanted to charge me $1,600 for carb work on an $1,800 bike. I pulled the carbs myself, and much to my surprise, they were perfectly clean. Before they even told me to do carb work they got over $1000 out of me with multiple services promising to fix the problems with my bike. This might be a good place to buy a bike, get advice, and maybe even buy parts, but it really is worth learning to do simple mechanic work yourself!
Good customer service
Everything you need and good service
Bought a Moto Guzzi from Dan at NHP from all the way across the country because there were no good deals in my area (Southern California). I called half a dozen dealers. Most couldnt even pronounce Guzzi, but Dan knew what he was talking about and was also highly professional and reliable. From shipping the luggage separately to sending me all the photos requested to keeping me updated on the prep status, he did a fantastic job. Ive been riding street bikes for 20 years, owned over a dozen bikes, but never bought one sight unseen before let alone had it shipped from one end of the country to the other. I WOULD do it again with Dan @ NHP, no question. Thanks Dan!!!
Friendly staff and fair service prices. I will come back here for all motorcycle needs.
New aprilia blew an engine and had a bad time with the dealer I bought the bike from in Danbury, but the sevice delaparment at New Haven Powersports was the best took the bike in confirmed a bad engine worked with AprilIa company installed the new engine and everything has been great so far.
When youre in the shop the service staff is fine but after dropping my bike off nobody called me before work was started to tell me what the final scope was or how much it would cost! And on top of that when I called to ask about these critical items, the people who answered the phone were unhelpful and abrupt. Even, rude! When I finally get there to pick up my bike, I was overcharged and they wouldnt move on price. Then, the manager, AJ proceeded to explain to me how theyre having problems with the person answering the service phone and that there was about 25 other people in the same position as me.Lesson learned? This place is poorly managed and rude. Dont go there!
They really took time to help me
I get chinese pitbike parts here
Great people to do business with.
Dont ever give them any of your business. these people will only RIP YOU OFF. Quoted a new bike saying the price is $9500 when manufacturers website clearly shows $8700.THEN they add on top a bunch of BS fees amounting up to another $1000.Oh, and not to mention the attitude. I give up.
Great customer service
Great customer service! Planning on another purchase this summer.
Stopped in for a maintenance question and issue. They have you in and out in no time flat.
Great place knowledgeable staff !
Top notch service.
Always great service.
Very competent and friendly staff
Great Selection
