I was here yesterday with my girlfriend and everything was amazing! The food was so delicious and Mrs. Kim was so welcoming. We will definitely be returning often!

This is hands down a 6 Star place. This is one of the few places I’ve ever debated about putting up a review, because I’m afraid the business will get too good and I won’t be able to eat there myself. Love, love this joint. Not just a tiny asian supermarket, but just the best Bibimbop in town. No shade to other places, this place is just that great. I’m sad Google will round this down to 5 stars.

This spot is my favored. I visit plenty of restaurants but to this place I constantly return again and again. The team is very attentive and the cooking they offer is so tasty. I would always prefer to have a decent meal here. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Awesome food. Kim, the owner and chef is very friendly and willing to explain everything- offering uniquely personal and caring service. The shoppe’s atmosphere, selection of teas, decor, and international foods and spices all comes together to make a great experience.

Literally this is the best Kimchi I have ever tried. Although there is not any label, you can definitely tell that it was hand made by the nice Korean Ajumma. As an Asian I find myself quite fond of this traditional Korean food. The Bibimbap was fresh and absolutely delicious. Not sure if its the best one in town but it was not too sweet nor too salty. However it would be better if the portion was bigger. Maybe more rice would do the work.

The menu and service were beyond my expectations. I really loved the vibes of this place. Extraordinary place to take the family out for dinner.

Cute little Asian shop with very reasonable prices. Everything is organized with care with hand labeled signs and process. The selection is limited, but there are a wide range of spices, noodles, and sauces available, along with some home kitchen/bath items, and very basic produce. The Korean lady running the shop is very kind and reminds me a bit of my mother in law. Havent had the famous bimbimbop but plan on coming back for it some time soon. I definitely feel good shopping here to support local business, especially during covid times

Great fooood and very affordable. You can see the lady (ahjumma) preparing for your food in the open kitchen.

The owner is very nice and affordable price for bibimbop. Really appreciate that vegetables are cooked/sautéed one more time, as most restaurants i n Korea dont do that. The only downside is it’s very salty (likely because of added soy sauce, which isn’t very traditional for korean bibimbop), so I will likely ask next time my bibimbop without it. Japchae was just okay- I probably won’t get it again. Grocery items are a bit tad expensive- wish there were some Korean vegetables like 깻잎 and 애호박. But overall, great store!

Such a cute little shop, my friend and I went to get some food on our way back from visiting ikea and the shop owner is such a sweet lady. I love the options of food she had in such a small shop. I wish we could of stayed longer and tried her menu. The shop smells amazing when you 1st walk in my friend and I got instantly hungry when walking in. Ugh, again I wish we could of stayed longer but we had to drive far back to our homes. Next time we plan to try their menu.

Amazing and authentic products

We came to this place for dinner. my friend recommended this spot. Well, it was a winning. The staff members were very polite and we had an excellent feeling. The meal was great. We enjoyed every moment and we shall definitely come back again. Highly recommended.

The bi bim bap here is one of the iconic New Haven dishes. Just as amazing now as it’s been for the past 20 years.

This is the only place in New Haven Im aware of where you can get many indian spices like cumin seeds or coriander, though the quantities are quite small. The hot korean food is of acceptable quality but if you are very hungry you are unlikely to feel stuffed after eating. Definitely a buy.

Small grocery store with a kitchen so you can order take out. There are two tables to sit and eat. Nice owner willing to help and customize. Bi bim bap is less than $10 and is atleast a third cheaper than the surrounding Korean restaurants. It tasted good. The store closes at 4PM..Covid hours. I am planning to return.

Love this store. The food they make is delicious and there are a ton of grocery items they sell that are hard to find around here. But for me, the best part is the wall of different teas, all high quality, and tea sets.

This restaurant is one of the most beautiful, soulful, flavorful, and gorgeous places in New Haven! All the food is full of flavor, the selection of spices, tea, dishes, etc is extensive, the people are kind, and the building is warm and cozy. I urge everyone to visit!

Lovely small Oriental Deli. Korean, Japanese, Indian essentials. Not a lot -- just the best at very reasonable prices.Try the Bi Bim Bop -- Yum!

A small but well-stocked little Asian food pantry. The tea was good, and my wife said the iced coffee was pretty good as well. Prices slightly lower than other area Asian food stores, though the store is smaller.

Very cute little Asian grocery store run by a Korean ajumma (a woman slightly beyond middle age). Very good, slightly salty bibimbap in authentic metal bowls. The selection of side dishes is not huge but always everything is very yummy. There is a not-so-tiny collection of Asian gift items like chopsticks, dishes, tea sets, etc. Very cute. I wish the opening hours were better. Highly recommended.

Pricey. but variety. if you want pay more for the variety, it is OK. The owner cooks openly, I love that way, because you can see what she put in you ordered. There are lots of choice for variety. The portion is reasonable, they dont offer greedy.

Dont expect very large portion sizes for the food, but definitely very tasty. The store owner is also a wonderful person, and I will be coming again in the future for sure!

Not to many Korean places in Ct. This is one but they often have expired food on there shelf and if youre not careful, you dont notice till you get home.
