I made an appointment on the website for 7:30 am, promptly showed up at 7:30 am. Waited in my car outside until 8:00 am when I find out from an employee walking up to the store door that the shop doesnt even open until 8:00 am!!???????. Woke up early to drive here before work, just to sit in my car and get no service even though I had an appointment. If your going to schedule an appointment for 7:30 am you might want to make sure the store is ACTUALLY OPEN!????????? For the record, I came here to spend a couple hundred of dollars on a full set brake job, but I refuse to give my money to such unprofessionalism. Ill be going elsewhere. Fix your website!

Roy did a great job explaining to me the process on establishing what the issue was for my car. He couldn’t find an issue with the car so I asked if he could just double check. I explained the issue again and he recommended a tune up and he was reasonable with price. He explained it may not work but it could. It did take awhile to get parts but he finished it within the same day. Car is running much smoother and I plan to take it back for struts repair. Overall, a good experience and a personable guy. I would recommend.

Like other reviews I too had a 7:30 appointment and had to wait. Unfortunately, it’s a Meineke online scheduling system glitch and this location does not open until 8am. I little inconvenient but still 5+ stars. I felt the customer service was great. They are knowledgeable, friendly, to the point and seemed sincere. At no time did I feel mislead. Pricing is also fair. Very satisfied and will be returning for future service. Just not at 7:30 lol ☺️. Thank you so much for your help today!!! Much appreciated.

Excellent service and good valueI have been using this Meineke location for several different repairs on two vehicles. Easy to make an appointment and have service performed at my convenience. This latest visit was for an Oil and filter change, as well as tire rotation and safety check including brakes. Service was done quickly and I received a courtesy call when it was completed, as I had errands to run nearby. I appreciate the professionalism and competence of the manager and mechanics. Can definitely recommend the place.

They will rip you off, take your money and your car is still not fixed. I would not recommend anyone here, take your vehicle and go somewhere else.

Showed up for my oil change at the New Britain Ct location, that i had scheduled online through the Meineke site. Mind you they set up and picked the time for me. I show up at my scheduled time, I go inside and there is an older Indian man sweeping the floor. He asks if he can help me, i tell him what i am there for.. He proceeds to tell me that the guy that does the oil changes left for the day and said they were not doing any oil changes.. I take out my phone and show him my set appointment time, that was set up through Meineke and also told him I had called the day before and spoke to the guy that does the oil changes and he had told me to bring the vehicle in, i did the appointment online as a back up to ensure I had a time set... He looks at me and says oh well there is nothing I can do and goes back to sweepingso it wasnt bad enough that i did have a set appt time that he didnt care about, but i had also driven over half hour to get there.. They never called to cancel my appt or anything then acted as though they did not care either way..I walk outside and call Meineke customer care.. what a waste of time, they acted as though they did not care either after I explained what happened. They ensured me that someone from the location would call me to make things right, that was 2 weeeks ago, still no call or anyrhing from the location or customer care to see if the situation was handled...I DO NOT recommend anyone go to this location.. Very ghetto looking run down poor excuse for a Meineke. Not even the normal Meineke yellow signage or anything on the building, if you dont use GPS by looking at the building you would never know or think it was a Meineke... if i could do negative 0 stars I would.. Avoid this location at all costs.

They replaced exhaust and was the best price around, didn’t try to add stuff onto the bill, the price was 1/2 the cost of other quotes, I will definitely use them again

Made an appointment online for 07:30. Arrived on time to find the place locked and no one there. Based on other reviews, it looks like this is a common occurrence there.If a shop cant even be bothered to open on time, there is no way Im going to trust them with my vehicle

Literally the worst experience ever. Would not recommend. I went there with only one issue that my car was having and that was the AC. After leaving meineke my car had many engine check lights and a broken AC compressor in it that broke my alternator belt.

My catalytic converter was replaced. Although it was not an easy job it was done thoroughly and very professionally. Price was also reasonable. Thank you Meineke and Roy.

I was a loyal customer until I was given an outrageous quote. I went elsewhere and had the job done for half the price from what I was given in this shop. Also, the person running the place has anger issues towards women. Ladies beware he will over charge you. Keep looking you will find something better than this .

Ive been bringing my 2005 Dodge Caravan to Roy the manager there in New Britain on Washington Street for the past few years its been smooth going up to this point thats far Roy the manager always takes time to make sure did I leave there at least content with the job performed has gone the extra mile for me on occasion such as taking it upon himself to make sure that my parts or tires are delivered in a timely fashion and a crew of mechanic there are good group of honest hard-working individuals individuals the employee ratio electricity ethnicity is well spread well once again Roy this is Sam 2005 Dodge Caravan white one saying once again awesome job cant say that I hope to see you soon but I will say God bless

Do your research before doing business with them.. The manager Roy is all about a dollar!! I had a problem with my coil packs, and he tried to wack me 850$, saying the spark plugs had to get adjusted( which are laser and dont need to be adjusted)... Went to a different licensed mechanic, they replaced my coil packs for 30$ and now my car is running perfect!! I WOULDNT recommend anyone doing business with these crooks at all!!

The Meineke on Washington street in New Britain, CT always provides exceptional service. The manager, Roy, is friendly and makes everyone feel at ease with his service. I go there for all vehicle maintenance.

Very rude and abrasive when answering my phone call. I wanted to make an appointment for an oil change and the man refused saying that they only do walk ins. Now that I have the time off work, I cant get a hold of anyone to see if they have time because no one is answering the phone. What kind of car place refuses to take an appointment? And a Meineke at that? Also, why is no one answering their phone? How am I ever supposed to get an oil change done? Very unprofessional. I would definitely NOT recommend this Meineke to anyone.

I went in there scared i wasn’t going to qualify for a car, and James made that come true. Walked out of there with a new car very low payments and hooked me up with insurance. This is my first car and if u are thinking about stopping don’t hesitate they will hook you up. And very high great customer service ❤️.

I went here to fix my alternator when I didnt know what was happening and they explained that it was the alternator and what was wrong with it and they were very honest with me. So I appreciate the workers. And the store owner is the G.O.A.T.

Went here for an estimate but it seemed like I knew more than the guy who was helping me and I am no where near being a mechanic and I thought that was jarring! They can work on cars but they have no idea what customer service is! Very rude employees and my car wasnt fixed properly! They told me I needed spark plugs to fix the issue! They fixed the spark plug but didnt fix the issue! I asked them what was wrong and give me an estimate but they said they couldnt figure it out! Spent 175$ for nothing...went somewhere else and found out it was a coil! They couldnt see that and couldnt give me a proper estimate! No good...

Weird sound from one of my tires. Luckily, they quickly checked and found a badly damaged tire. Also advised the brakes needed immediate replacement. No pressure to up sell me yet still getting me back on the road safely. Honest guy. I wont hesitate going back. Its not easy finding a qualified repair shop that doesnt overcharge. So, good on you, guys.

Roy is the best! Absolutely no BS! I went in because my car kept overheating after 20 minutes of driving. My uncle said it might be the timing belt/water pump. I brought it into this Meineke location and that is what they diagnosed it as. The guy knows his stuff! All he had to do was listen to my car and he already knew the problem lol. My car has a ton of other problems too, but not once did he try to pressure me into getting the work done there. He strictly fixed the problem I went in for and that was that. He took my car in the same day, kept it overnight and it was done the next day. Really reasonable pricing. Not the prettiest location in the world, but hey...it gets the job done! Definitely recommend!

Made an appointment and yet still had to wait an hour for my car to be serviced. Additionally, only half of the work was completed and I was obligated to drive to a different Meineke location to finish the work. Frustrating experience.

My experience I think he need to have people to make appointments because I experienced people come up and get in front of it he would tell you one minute you are next then the next minute he tell you have someone to pick you up because its going to be a couple hours and that he will call you but it be one or two days before you pick your car up thats what I dont like thank you

Second time getting an oil change here, first time was uneventful but this round took about 1.5/2 hours because of a missing filter that had to be fetched. I set the appointment up the day before so shouldnt this problem have been already addressed? I received no discount for my troubles, paying for the filter that I had to wait for in addition to the oil change fee.Next time I will return to my dealer for the same old oil change, they always have the parts available and they would notify me otherwise and not leave me hanging around for hours, worth the extra couple of bucks! Sorry but not recommended.

They were fair with me, made time to fix my car being that I didnt have an appointment, and the mechanic (I forgot his name, but he said he was from Puerto Rico) was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Roy is a scam artist, make sure they do not have your credit card...... I received a new credit card and without notifying me and withOUT doing any work - Roy charged me $600. I had to dispute the charges and while I was disputing the charges, Roy began calling trying to intimidate me, saying I will have to pay these imaginary fees. In the end, thankfully the credit card company did not charge me. Beware of scammers NOT all Meinekes are created equal, this one will rob you

I went to Meineke in New Britain CT, 7/2/19 to have my alternator replaced, they charged me $375 for the part alone and $90 for labor, I dont really know anything about cars so I just went ahead, when I told my co worker what happened to my car they told me to call NAPA and ask how much an alternator for my car is I was told $175 for the alternator with warranty, Meineke charged me so much and was clearly taking advantage since Im a woman and when I picked up my car and confronted them he said well you have lifetime warranty, told them my car is 9 years old, in 5 years im getting a new car so wont be able to use that warranty. Ive been bringing my car here for simple maintenance and exchanges of part but after yesterday Iam not taking my car in Meineke again, what a rip off charging almost double the price. Iam not recommending this place to my friends and co workers. Anyway I found a new mechanic highly recommended by the people at church that I go too.

Appointment was for 7:30am. I got a confirmation email and text saying the appointment was for 7:30am. Their website and Google both say they open at 7:30am on Saturdays. They apparently open at 8am and no one thought to inform the person with the appointment...

I had made an appointment 2 days prior. I showed up and had to sit there for an hour and after they change my oil they didnt know how to shut the oil change required notification off so its still on my dashboard! Last time I went there I had made an appointment online and I showed up and they havent even checked it so I had to leave because they were booked

They fixed my fuel pump on my car alot more reasonably then all others that I got quotes from and have not had a problem since.

I got a tune up in February and now at the beginning of August I need new spark plugs and wires, to the tune of $450. Obviously my initial tune up was a terrible job. I do not recommend this repair shop!

They charged me 80 to weld my muffler and when I took my car to 2 other professional mechanics they said it was never touched. They make you wait very long they rip you off and will damage your carfax. Was told AFTER by a coworker that they got caught damaging her system so they can charge her more not knowing she knew what they were doing. BEWARE
