Tony and team are phenomenal, stopped in on a business trip and was so impressed by the vibe Im bringing a client here later in the week. Buy a cigar from their expansive humidor, grab a local drink and chill in the lounge... if youre into cigars and a great whiskey you have to put this stop on your itinerary.

We were looking for a place to smoke a cigar so we ended up here. Its a little off the beaten path and I dont recommend walking here. Once you are inside though, its a nice atmosphere with plenty of leather couches to go around. The cigar humidor has some good selections some of which are unique to the shop. The owner was knowledgable about the cigars too. They have a decent whiskey selection as well as a few rums. Overall, I found the price of cigar bars to be quite high in Nashville compared to other parts of the country, so be prepared to spend a bit more here.

Im visiting from out of town... wanted to find a lounge to hang out in. This is a great spot with a full bar, and excellent customer service. The humidor contains a good selection of cigars and the lounge itself is spacious with ample cushy seating. The perfect spot to relax and smoke.

Little out of the way, but if youre looking for a throwback cigar lounge experience, this is the place. They have a large humidor with a huge selection, a bar for your sipping preference, and indoor and outdoor seating. The drinks were not cheap, by any means, but we loved the time we got to spend here.

I came on here to talk about my friend Tony and was surprised at that last review. Im a person of color and have been friends with Tony for many years at the old place he had and the new place here. My wife and I have been in the bar many times and been to his house for dinner and had many great times. Hes from Chicago like me and is a straight shooter. Hes always treated me with great respect. Super spacious and comfortable making it the ideal place for me to bring friends and out of town guests. Cigar Bar Especial is the only option for me when it come to a cigar bar in Nashville.

If this was in the middle of nowhere or with no close competition it would be acceptable... the fact is however they are not alone and there are far better alternatives. I went here when my usual place (literally around the corner) was out of free parking. The selection here is scarce, the humidor is literally the size of a closet. That could be overlooked as they have some nice finds but their air filtration is horrible. I was there during the day with hardly anyone else and I left reeking of smoke. Next time I will happily pay for parking around the corner.

Awesome shop. Wide cigar selection, I presume to be the owner was extremely helpful and welcoming. He made sure he was trying to help us in any way while not being too overbearing, which I have encountered before in humidors. The place is nicely sized with big tvs around and very comfortable lounges scattered about. They have a full bar with bar seating, and a solid selection of bourbon, including blantons for only $20/2oz pour! The recommended cigar was a very smooth but flavorful experience and I enjoyed my time there. Cool spot to come relax!

This place is awesome! I am from New York and this place is up there as one of the best Cigar bars I’ve ever been to. I was in Nashville for a bachelor party and I highly recommend future bachelor parties to include this as a stop on their itinerary. Great cigar selection. The staff was very friendly and accommodating . The costumer service was exceptional and the owner truly made sure we all had a great experience. Thank you for making our trip even better. I go to bar cigar Especial often with friends and fraternity members. The bartenders make great Negronis and Vespers. The owner really knows his cigars. This place has the best humidor in Nashville. I liked the place so much I purchased a membership.

They have a good cigar selection and great ambiance. The place has great ventilation so its not smoky at all and they have cutters and torch lighters at each table. Definitely a nice place to hang out and smoke....but not to drinkThe problem is that their whiskey selection is small and quite overpriced. Walker Black was $14, which is like half the cost of a bottle and is something you can usually find for $10 or less at even higher end bars. They dont tell you prices- seriously, there were no listed drink prices anywhere. The bartender had to look them up individually. If you are like me and enjoy whiskey with your cigar, I would look elsewhere.

It wasnt a friendly place. The bartender Kelly was pleasant however the white guy selling cigars was quite short & snippy, aggravated answering the exact same questions from a white patron pleasantly. It was a very uncomfortable environment for a black couple. Wont go back. Wont recommend but thats probably exactly what he wanted. You won!!

Unfortunately I was underwhelmed by this lounge, although Id really looked forward to it because of its internet presentation. The drinks were fine but the service was pretty disinterested. The humidor is stocked with some nice sticks but both the depth and breadth of the collection is limited.

I’ve come here for a cigar and drink every time I’m in Nashville. Sometimes with a group and sometimes alone. Every time, I’ve always bought a few drinks and smoked my own cigar. Each time was at least $50 at the bar. Today I stopped by for a smoke and a few drinks and they now have a $20 cut charge. Really??? $20??? That’s more than they charge in Manhattan, NY! Thanks but, no thanks!! I’ll smoke for free at a bar in Midtown. You’ve become Penny wise n Dollar foolish. I won’t be back, nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone.

Atmosphere was great, a few of us arrived around 11pm on a Saturday. Price on cigars was good, and the seating in the loft was really comfortable. They had lighters and cutters available in at the seating areas. Great place to relax with a glass of scotch.

This place is great and it’s open until 2 AM on Friday and Saturday. Just a nice place to have a good smoke and a drink.

Priming cigar bar is a fantastic experience. There are many comfortable chairs to sit and talk with old friends and new friends. the staff there are friendly and very helpful if you have any questions when you enter the humidor. Have a pretty good selection of cigars to enjoy. theyre probably one of the best things is there bar is well stocked with whiskey, scotch and bourbon. When in Nashville this place is a must.

This place is Top Shelf. Great humidor with friendly staff that is helpful in selecting the right cigar for you. Super comfy leather chairs all around, with multiple configurations and big screen TVs everywhere. Massive whiskey selection to choose from, from standard Bourbons to high-end Scotch, they pretty much have you covered. This is now my go to Cigar Lounge in Nashville.

I know it can be intimidating to come to a cigar lounge... Will the regulars looks at you and say this guy..... But coming from out of town I didnt feel that here. I was greeted at the door and shown the humidor, picked a mild Dominican, got a local bourbon, Belle Meade, and enjoyed the great ambiance and probably lowered my stress levels exponentially. The music isnt loud or too soft and the lounge is well ventilated. Finally the prices are on par or lower than most cigar lounges Ive been to.

Overall, I like the place. Its spacious, has a nice ambiance, and the service was good (theyd check on you regularly without being overbearing).I have two critiques, though. First, the ventilation was terrible. There should be negative pressure or something to draw out the smoke. Instead, it just hangs in the air.Second, they are either super overpriced, or I was overcharged. I didnt think about it at the time, but my bill was ~$115. I had one cigar ($ unk), a pack of cigarellos to go (~$22), a double Johnnie Walker black, and a glass of wine. I assume the cigar was in the $10-15 range, so even if the wine was $20, I paid $60 for a double Johnnie... Something didnt add up, but I didnt give it any thought until I was walking back to my hotel, and at that point, its not like anything could be done. So, I guess, just double check your bill before you sign it.

Tony is the BEST. As soon as I walked in with my girlfriend he was so helpful, but not coming across as pushy. He made us feel like we were at a 5-star restaurant. The drinks were fantastic and the humidor selection is fantastic alone. He gave us some goodies like cedar sticks and matches, and also threw in a free Boveda pack with the travel humidor I picked up from him. If I lived in Nashville I would be down here every day!

My comment was misleading...we walked 1/2 mile to get there in 85% humidity on about 90 degree day - it just seemed like far because it was so hot and didnt know what to expect. We will be back! Really like this place! I think they put in a lot of effort for their drinks, and the seating atmosphere is relaxing! The only two stars I deduct is based off of the lack of cigar selection (no Davidoff, No Padron, very few common brands), and the rough ventilation. When everyone is smoking it’s super thick and makes it a bit unbearable. Aside from that, I think it’s a good option in downtown and a night out with the guys.

My boyfriend is a cigar smoker and I spotted this place after checking into our hotel so we decided to go in and check it out. clean, friendly staff and happy boyfriend. This place use to be good but under new ownership, they charge you $20 if you bring your own cigar even though I was about to spend way more than that in drinks. I bring my own because your cigar selection is mid to low level.And now they compare themselves to a restaurant while firing back at me like a child throwing a tantrum because I gave a one star. Come on. Ruths chris? You wouldnt even compare to McDonalds.

Really liked this place.As someone who is really cheap, it was a tad expensive, BUT worth every penny. My cigar was delicious, the seating areas are very comfy, large torch lighters on the tables,any ash trays, good drink selection.They have upstairs seating and single use bathrooms. They have TVs for each seating areas with remotes !Id come again !Recommending to all

I had visited Primings back in December when I was in town on business. I had a chance to talk to the owner Chase for a few minutes and thanked him for his hospitality. This trip I had planned to go to two of the other local cigar bars but something lured me back to Primings. Im glad I went. I had a really good time talking to Matt and Jake about their craft cocktails and I even tried a few. I met some great people and had some really good conversations. Its a really cool environment and everyone is friendly wether your a regular or not. I like the throwback speak easy vibe and will continue to visit when im in Nashville.

We had a really good experience one night, the next night with a different bar tender, older man with black hair verbally accosted us throughout the presses. Ordered us to stand out of the way. Hovered over us throughout choosing a cigar. Never once came and took a drink order, was very rude throughput the whole process. He then complained when we didn’t tip him enough. I told him if he wanted a good tip, he needs to treat his customers fairly and with some respect. He immediately told us to leave “his bar.” If I was reviewing the first night it would have been great but no. This man did not understand how to treat a customer. I wouldn’t Recommend this place especially if you are new to lounges.

Fantastic place for a cigar, great place to chill out and have a nice cocktail in a glass! Most of Nashville servers drinks in plastic cups. Jacob mixes a good drink.

If your in town and love Cigars then except no substitutions. The Cigar Bar Especial is a great experience. Large screen TVs everywhere, serves various liquors, alchohol, and food. Great staff and personnel who was always checking and making sure your taken care of. And best of all is the GIANT walk in humidor. Lined throughout with a wide variety of cigars from all over the world and very reasonable prices.They will or can also pick you up from a local destination or lodge and bring you to and from the bar. Its also a great place for local people because they have a member area that is more private with comfortable seating and entertainment as well as meeting rooms. Me and my friends enjoy it and go often. Its a happening spot so always someone there. I assure you I didnt get paid to asked to write this. I just approve of the location and idea so I want to make sure others find it as well.

Primings Cigar was a great experience! I have never been to a cigar bar before and they set the bar high. Took my buddy for his bachelor party today and everyone enjoyed it. You walk in grab a cigar from there walk-in humidor and find a comfortable place to sit down. There you will be greeted by there bartender to take your drink orders, by the way she makes the best old fashions around. Will definitely return!

One of my favorite stops when traveling in Nashville. Always a nice, mellow atmosphere with a great vibe, excellent service from the staff and team, and easily the coolest place to hang out at for a few hours while youre in Nashville.Walking in, I knew right away the atmosphere was going to be awesome! Theyve got a nice array of furniture options, between some very comfy chairs and leather couches to choose from, plus setup perfect for small and large groups to just hang and chat with each other for a while. The TVs never got too loud and the bartenders offered some great pairings of their whiskey options with the type of cigar you had.The staff helped us out all the way with getting our cigars, making a few suggestions for those of us who only smoke one a few times a year and offered a great variety for those of us who know what they like and want to try something different! This is one place Im going to make a stop at every time I visit Nashville! Top-notch!

Website says they have food..they did not. Would not let us bring any in. We didnt eat beforehand because we were expecting to be able to snack on something there.Atmosphere is great, the two people working were nice and attentive. Cigar selection seemed pretty weak compared to other cigar bars Ive been to, but I did get recommended one I had never smoked, and I did enjoy it. Ventilation was good; there were about 10 people smoking and it didnt seem too smoky.

Wow! Old world charm, finely tailored bartenders crafting classic cocktails and selling the finest cigars to be had! Super friendly and open, great drinks and staff, comfortable seating, checks all the boxes. Theyre upgrading the kitchen and parking this season so Ill be excited to go back in the early part of January to see how it turns out. What a great bar!

Went after work with a few coworkers on Friday night it was two of ours first time smoking a cigar and the owner Tony was very welcoming over all and helped us select our cigars we enjoyed the experience very much and we are actually going back tonight.

Primings cigar bar is one of the nicest cigar lounges Ive been to in quite a while. They have quite a few comfortable chairs and its set up for fairly large size groups. Bar is fully stocked with all the good things we like to drink whiskey, bourbon, rye common vodka etc. Humidor is also well-stocked with a pretty good selection of sticks. I found the staff extremely helpful and friendly.

Stumbled onto this place waiting for Ramen down the street. Great selection of cigars and drinks. Easily my go to cigar spot when visiting Nashville.

This place is excellent. We’re in Nashville for the weekend and my fiancé surprised me with a trip here. Couldn’t be more impressed with our experience. This is definitely a gentleman’s place. It’s got a great selection of smokes and they make THE BEST Old Fashioned that I’ve had. Joseph the bartender was great. Gave us great advice for restaurant choices and just gave us all around EXCELLENT service. Definitely a 5-Star experience!
