I brought my MacBook in a couple of weeks ago and they gave me a repair estimate of $950 because they said my computer needed a new logic board so I just decided to buy a new MacBook for the same price. Yesterday, I took my old MacBook into the Apple store because I needed proof to file a claim with insurance, I picked my MacBook up today and they completely fixed the problem overnight. Needless to say, do not go to Simply Mac, go to the Apple Store.

I dropped a pair of AirPod pros off at this location 13 days ago. I was told they would be ready in 7-10 days. I have heard nothing from them since. I have tried to call and been left on the line till the voicemail option picks up. I have left a voicemail asking them to call and give an update. I assumed their store would be quicker or at least easier than just sending them back to apple, but I was wrong!!!!

Went in to buy a set of earpods, turned into a near hour ordeal because the boxes on the shelf behind the security lock were in fact used headphones in a resealed box, none in good shape but definitely greasy. All of them, 3 total, I had to get a lighting adapter to trss to use old style Earpods with headphone plug because that was my only non Bluetooth option. They old style Earpods oddly enough were not behind a security lock. This is a W.T.F moment. I am past the 24h mark and the charges to my card have not reversed and yes, they charged me for each box opened. When the manager came out after magic box number three was picked, he had airpods in his ears and ordered the counter guy to do certain actions on the computer. The guy working the counter was in shock at what happened. The counter worker was the only one who said he was sorry for what happened. It was an awkward moment in time with T-pain greatist hits playing in the store with both versions of Up Down playing through, my hopes went up, down and they took all my money.. Just for background, I have bought 2 apple watches, 4 iPads, and 1 desktop though this establishment.

Do not take your mac products here. When I entered the store on Monday, December 21st the employee was working with one another person and never acknowledged my presence. I waited for someone to acknowledge me for over 10 minutes even though I had an appointment. I was told it would take two week for the repair to take place and on January 4th I logged into my Simply Mac account to see that they had not updated the status of the repair. I called the local number twice on January 4th, leaving a message with my name and number each time and reached out twice again on January 5th leaving my number. On January 6th I walked into an empty store without an employee there to greet me. I had to call out twice for someone to come around from the back. I was told that they had not made the repair on my computer due to a technician being out for COVID. They never once updated my repair status online nor did they respond to the messages that I left on the local number voice-mail. They only thing they could say was that they were extremely busy and did not have time to send an email response or answer the phone. After two weeks in their hands, with no communication my computer keyboard is still not fixed. Do not take your products here.

Great experience! My repair ended up being longer and far more extensive than we originally thought, but the repair staff kept me up to date and made sure that it was all covered under warranty. I ended up with (nearly) an entirely new laptop. Good people and a great service!

I dropped my MacBook off at this location because there was a ticking sound that could be heard when I lifted the lid on the MacBook. The rep told me he had to run diagnostics before he could send it to Apple for repair. 3 weeks later i returned to get my MacBook and they said the could not reproduce the problem. I lifted the lid and the ticking noise was still there. After that huge waste of time and several weeks they changed me $80 dollars to run the diagnostics and would not send my MacBook to apple. The service was terrible and I would not use this company. I would recommend going to apple and not wasting you time with Simply Mac.Cheers!

I had my laptop screen replaced here. The price was decent and the repairment is good. It got a few days delayed because they didnt receive the part as expected, but when I called them this morning, the guy answering the phone checked and found my laptop had been ready but they didnt update this information to me, which made me feel like that if I didnt call, Id never know that.

I made an appointment on Apple’s Website to have my IPhone 6 battery replaced. I arrived at the appointment time and the gentleman took my phone, looked it over and declared that I did not need a new battery. When I noted the well publicized issues with the batteries causing performance issues, it was suggested to upgrade to a new phone. Plus, in the battery health section under settings there was a message that my phone would no longer operate at peak performance due to the battery. So I walked out and just had my battery replaced at Batteries Plus and IPhone 6 is as good as new with no lag issues and the battery health is now 100%. Plus I still have $1000 in my pocket not having spent on an upgrade.

Circling the Drain . . .A few years back, this was a great place for Apple hardware purchases - New, Used and refurbished - with outstanding support. Not anymore !I brought my hearing-impaired friend here with iPad troubles. The receptionist / clerk really hated to lift her nose from her phone but because I had provided typed and detailed instructions detailing what my friend needed, she finally agreed to take the instructions and inquiry to the store technician. The tech was a skilled Apple Guru type, intelligent and communicative. He told me specifically what he could and could not do (because of Apples security policies) and quoted a reasonable price. He said that it would Take 15 -17 minutes to rewrite IOS to the iPad and bring the device back to its as purchased state. He offered to make the repair while we waited. I was surprised but pleased! After 20 minutes, the Tech came back to the counter and said that there had been some small, time-consuming problems and that the corrections would take a bit longer. He suggested that we return in about 40 minutes. We agreed.Assuming all would be well, when we returned I sent my friend in to pick-up and pay. All was not well. After the clerk ran my friends credit card, she informed my friend that the process had not been successful and that she (my hearing-impaired friend) was still locked out of her iPad. After 10 minutes of waiting, I came inside to discover the problem. I found my friend at the counter, upset and trying frantically to understand what had been done and still trying to log in to the non -functioning iPad.I asked to speak to the tech - He was out to lunch.I asked to speak to the manager - He was chatting with a possible customer.I explained to the clerk that there had been no improvement in the state of the iPad and asked for a refund for my friend. She said she couldnt.Stalemate.After another 15 minutes the Assistant Manager who now said that he was the Manager came to the counter saying that the repair charge was now a diagnostic fee and that there would be no refund. I responded that I had at no point requested a diagnostic procedure and that I had provided written instructions, a fee had been agreed to, and that the repairs had NOT been accomplished as specified. The Manager then rushed off to his hair appointment - two doors down on the strip-mall and left my friend and me hanging. After another half hour, the original tech showed up, apologized, and completed the repair. But what a rude and enormous, multi-hour hassle to accomplish a simple transaction. It did, however, explain why during the three and one half hours, mid-day Monday, there were only two other customers.Joseph

I would NOT recommend anyone with Apple problems to come here. The place is disorganized, and according to the actual store they’re known for giving wrong diagnoses and often making problems worse. I went there in August to get some water damage on my laptop fixed, not only did it take nearly a month for them to get my laptop back but there were so many problems along the way. One of the employees broke my laptop case as it was coming off. They told me $600 (which was already steep) and then I didn’t hear from them for days. I tried calling a few times before I finally reached them, when they told me they hadn’t even started working on the repair because they needed me to know it was actually going to be $850. When I complained, the woman on the phone offered me $100 discount, but regardless this price difference was insane. On top of all that, trying to get a hold of the store for any updates on my repair usually resulted in me getting sent to voicemail and having no one call me back. I’m a college student, so that meant the entire time I had to find a way to borrow a laptop to get my work done. When I finally did receive the laptop, which I was told would essentially be brand new due to the amount of repair; a few days afterwards I started experiencing a new problem that wasn’t even there prior to the repair. Getting that new problem fixed was a whole ordeal in itself. I know several other people who have had similar problems. DO NOT COME HERE. Go to the Apple store!!!

My MacBook Air needs a new battery. Cant hold a charge for 15 minutes. Hoping to avoid the crowds at the Apple Store in Green Hills, I went to Simply Mac on West End. The tech agreed that I needed a new battery. I said, Great. Lets go.His reply: Well we need to order the battery. My question: How long will it take? He: (hemmed and hawed) 3-5 business days. Me: (to self, well Ive waited this long, 5 more days wont matter.) OK, please order it. I started packing Mac up and putting it in my bag. He: Oh, and we have to keep your computer until the battery is installed. Me: WHAT??!! Youve got to be kidding. He: no, thats our policy.Me: please tell the reason for that. He: well, we order the battery and then people dont come back for them to be installed and were stuck with paying for the battery. Me: how about I pay for it now? No professional person is going to let you keep their computer for a week or more. He: No, each of the batteries is serialized and I cant take payment for something without a serial number and I wont know the serial number until it arrives. So I have to keep your computer. Me: flat out ridiculous. Gbye.No star for you. But you wont let me post without awarding a star. To Green Hills I go.

Overall, it was a pretty good experience. The display on my MacBook Air went out, and I scheduled an appointment through the Apple website for repairs. They didnt give me a hard time about my warranty, which I was grateful for. They had to order a new screen for my laptop, but the service was fairly quick. I took my laptop in on Monday morning, and was able to pick it up Wednesday morning. I believe I was helped by a guy named Trevor, who was nice and knowledgable. I drove here from Clarksville, and I would again for the fast and friendly service.

Told me within seconds that my logic board was dead and it would be almost $600 to repair it and my data. I went to Zmac where they pin pointed the problem (it wasnt my logic board that was dead) and saved all my data for under $300. Dont waste your time going to Apple and overpaying for them to not correctly fix the issues!

I had a hard drive crash on my Mac. The team at Simply Mac got on it right away and went way above and beyond to help me resolve my issue in a timely way. Billy got me out of a really tough jam by sending me a file I needed in an emergency. Enroute to a presentation my Keynote file suddenly corrupted on my MacBook Air and wouldnt open. After spending an hour on the phone with the developers at Apple HQ they still couldnt get my file to open. Without Billys help I would have been in a really bad place. Well guess what? The same thing happened today. This time, it was Rebecca to the rescue! She, brilliantly, came up with the simple solution that even the guys at Apple HQ didnt think of. Bottom line is, these guys go out of their way to get your Apple gear in gear. I am truly grateful for all they do.

Update:I took the computer back to the store and mentioned they should give me a refund because of all the trouble. They did not offer a refund, but instead sent the computer to Apple for repair (4th repair) and told me if I wanted to pursue a refund it would have to be with Apple directly. When they got it back from Apple repair, It took me three voice mails to get the service manager, Chris Spann to call me back. I asked him to ship the computer to me at no charge since wed already had to pay for that 3 times. He repeatedly refused to do that and then when I reluctantly told him to ship it at my expense he put me on hold for 30 minutes and did not pick back up.I called back and asked who the manager was and the gentleman who answered said, Thats me. I explained to him the situation and he said the important thing was for them to get the computer back to me as soon as possible. He said the best they could do was ship it ground UPS, which was fine with me since we are one hour from Nashville. It should arrive tomorrow. He did not, however, say anything about the poor behavior of his service manager.I am glad I got in touch with the manager because my experience with the service department was shot. From here on, I will deal directly with Apple.

I wouldnt let these people touch your computer period! :( They found a way to tear my mothers computer up, and then had the gall to try to steer her into buying one of their refurbished (used computers with no warranty that they have fixed) computers. All she wanted was a simple upgrade of having more internal memory added. Somehow, they were able to tear up the logic board. Nice job Simply Mac! Real Mac experts lol. The customer service was shoddy. You would be lucky if you were able to speak to a live person. When you did, they made you feel like you were an inconvenience to them. They would tell you they would call you when it was fixed, but weeks went by with no call. We would leave a voicemail awaiting for a return call that would seldom come. We were originally told this procedure would just take a few hours....it took over a month and the computer (which worked when we dropped it off) does not work now. We live about an hour and a half away so we wanted to know a good time to pick it up when it was fixed. It never was fixed! My mother drove almost 2 hours to pick up her Macbook Pro that now doesnt work. They tried to make her feel better by giving her a external hard drive with her information on it. We have yet to see if they were really able to save anything. Sorry for the rant, but this in not good business. These opportunist have a smug attitude and are not very good at working on Macbook pros...at least not in our experience :(

Ive had two different computers that had the same problem. The first was a refurbished Macbook Pro and we ended up trading it in on a new one at Simply Mac.The new computer developed the same problem and it has now been in 3 times for repair. Each time I had them ship it back to me because I live out of town. Shipping was $25.It is a good thing I bought Applecare, but Simply Mac hasnt seemed to fix the problem. Theyre always polite but the computer is going back one more time and they are going to investigate options. I have asked for a refund, because the problem keeps recurring and appears un-fixable. We will see what happens when I take it in again on Sept. 30.
