Like many others making the journey, I drove 2 hours to try on new skates in person, rather than even dare to purchase online. The skates are an investment and I wanted the help and expertise to make sure I was making a proper purchase. The experience was fabulous although it took me so...much...time to make a decision, and I wasnt rushed by them at all- this is a shop that would rather me take the time and make the right decision rather than impulse buy, be unhappy, and never return. Tim answered every question, gave me instructions, changed wheels out, and I was on my way to take on rush hour. The in-store stock was impressive. If you are in the market to buy anything skate related, do take the time to drive to this locally owned and operated business- enjoy the store and purchase there. It will be a fabulous decision. I for one will not go anywhere else.

Drove down from Maine to get some skates and could not have had a better experience! I havent been on skates in probably 20 years, and they took the time to explain everything, let me try several different pairs, and helped find the right wheels and pads for a beginner outdoor skater. I left with something completely different than I had in my head originally, but I know I got the right skates for me thanks to their guidance (and patience!).

I drove 4 hours from NY to check this place out and was not at all disappointed. I needed new wheels and bearings for my skates, as well as a couple pieces of protective gear, and the selection available was amazing. I was helped by a VERY kind and informative employee named Tim, he helped me 1-on-1 for most of my visit. I’ve never been so impressed by an employee. It was a wonderful experience, definitely worth the 8 hour trip! I would recommend this to anyone looking for roller skate gear. They are queer friendly and politically progressive, and have super fair pricing!

Great people and helpful. They have some things hanging from the ceiling that look like adult night club devices. I asked and they said thats for the VIP skaters. Seems like fun

This place is wonderful! I purchased skates from here and I was worried about what size I would be but they let me come in and test on sizes and helmets. Theyre only doing online ordering right now but it was very sweet I was able to try on inside and purchase there. Another time I called about wheels and the woman was great. We talked about what kind of skating I do and my price range and she gave me options. I will definitely be coming here for anything I need.

If you are anywhere in the Boston area, I can say with 100% confidence that it is worth the drive to Nashua NH (even in 5pm traffic, which is what I did) to buy roller skates. I called the shop first to see if they had womens size 4 skates, which they did! The customer service over the phone was excellent, and when I arrived in the shop they were even friendlier, if thats possible. They brought out many skates for me to try on, and emphasized that I should buy skates that are comfortable for me rather than an expensive or popular skate. They gave me their honest opinion when I asked for it. I am at the very beginning of my skating journey, but I cant wait to upgrade just so that I have an excuse to visit this shop again. Bought some skates from their website. Took a bit to get the skates, but thats to be expected with everything being in high demand. Shipping was a bit pricey, but the skates were priced lower than their competitors, so it evened out. Great online shopping experience. I would recommend this place and Ill be likely to shop there again

I LOVED my experience with this shop! I called and spoke with someone who was really incredibly nice, and she made some suggestions for me. Ordering online was a breeze, and I was able to pick up same day with no issues. The advice I received on sizing was perfect, my 1st choice that was put aside for me fit so perfectly I didnt even bother trying on the other choices! Somehow I ended up getting double charged for my order, but Eric emailed me within an hour of picking up my skates to let me know he took care of the double charge. Spectacular service, I know where I am going for all of my skating needs from now on!! Highly, HIGHLY recommend Bruised Boutique for any and all skating needs you may have!

Great website with up to date covid information. Helpful customer service over the phone - talked to multiple people who made me feel heard, understood, and didnt rush me even though they are short staffed and slammed with holiday orders. I just placed a skate order online, and called the shop to make sure they had it in stock. I can’t remember who I spoke with, but she was so kind and helpful! She let me know that they did have it in stock, and would more than likely ship out within a week. I purchased a really awesome pair of roller skates along with some wicked cool pads from here yesterday. My daughter is 5.5 years old with a size 11 foot. The small size pads and 11 size skates were a perfect fit and really high quality. The money I spent was less than I planned for and the smile on my girls face is priceless. Great service and cool store, I plan to go back when they open. I see some cool helmets and pads in there that I need for myself.

I got an itch to buy a nice pair of roller skates a few months ago, seemingly the same time as every other bored quarantined person in the world. I ordered online, and although the shipment took a while (at no fault of the shop) customer service was kind and helpful every step of the way.I initially placed an order for skates I didnt realize wouldnt arrive until January 2021 (I didnt read all the info- my bad) so I called in a panic a few days later and was able to easily change my order.While anxiously awaiting my order, I called a couple more times over a month to inquire about my skates. Every time my experience was pleasant and I quickly had my questions answered.My skates arrived and are perfect, I over estimated my pad size so I have to make a return- if the process goes as smoothly as my experience so far I wil remain a happy customer. I have already recommended the shop to friends.P.s. F*ck Amazon ! Shop small !

Ordered some Boardwalk Skates. I called the next day to make sure my skates were secured and Kacey (Casey? Idk) was so sweet and helpful! She marked my name on the skates for me right there on the phone! Amazing store! Possibly the best retail experience I have had. I just started derby training so I needed all new gear. The staff had me try on a few different selections of skates, pads and helmets to see what fit as well as ones inside my price range. I felt prices were extremely reasonable for a small business and was very pleased with the wide selection of products. I will be returning for all my skating needs!

Little disappointed, my wife and I drove from Rochester to try on and hopefully buy some rollerskates. Google says youre open for instore and curbside. Might want to get that updated. Once we can come on and try on skates we will come for another visit.

Called this shop three times looking to buy skates. Was told that they had a few pairs in stock and that I should come to the store to try them on. Drove an hour to buy some skates from here, only to be told (quite rudely) that they weren’t even open to the public. Super disappointed. I really don’t understand why they wouldn’t have told me this beforehand. Took my business elsewhere😘

Great place, but they arent open for walk ins currently. During Covid they are only open for curbside Pickup. They do ship internationally though so check out their website.

I was ordering custom Antiks from them and communicated via email. They answered my questions and added customization options for me. It was great customer service as I was able to order just what I wanted. It took about one business day for them to respond to emails. Will update re: product/shipping/etc if theres anything of note; otherwise, assume it was as good as the ordering experience!

The staff is SUPER helpful and amazingly patient with newcomers who know little to nothing about what they need to get started. Theyll even recommend the cheaper options for newbies and package discounts to keep people from getting discouraged at the cost of starting out.

It is no surprise that as I write this, all eleven reviews for Bruised Boutique are five star reviews! Bruised Boutique is a small shop but it is jam-packed with everything a girl needs for the derby. The shelves are full with skates, pads, tights, wheels, helmets, mouth-guards, accessories, stickers... As Shakespeare may have said of this shop if he was a derby Dad, Though she be but little, she is fierce. The staff is great - when I was there, there were a couple of people waiting for assistance, but the staff asked for our patience, as they really do give good advice and pay attention to the needs of their customers - they wont just pick out an item and tell you to buy it. I drove three hours to get my daughter here and it was worth it. (After a three hour drive, I found their restroom quite welcoming, and it even had some derby books for my reading enjoyment.)

I love going to a skate shop thats owned and run by actual skaters. Whenever I have a question the staff is always very skilled and knows the answer to just about anything anyones going to ask. I absolutely love this store and I drive 2 hours to get there everytime I go.

Ill start off by saying, this is kind of a second hand review as I know little about rollerskating and less about derby. But, went with my wife who is into both and found the staff to be polite and courteous.Sales person happily laced up a half a dozen pairs of skates for my wife to try and still encouraged her to try on more. I was pretty amazed at the customer service.No idea how the prices compare, I didnt look too deep into it, but the price was $10 less than Amazon and the addded bonuses of being in tax free New Hampshire, being able to pick your wheels and toe stops and being appropriately sized by someone who understands what they are doing.As much as I love shopping online I highly encourage folks starting out to get their first pair here. My wife wound up being in severly oversized skates for over a year buying her first set online.Last thing, if youre in a roller derby league and they sponsor it (no idea what that means) you get a 10% discount.
