The guy working was super helpful and also very nice. I went to change out my battery on my garage opener. He did ask if I wanted him to change it for me and was able to do so very quickly. He also showed me how to do it while explaining each step so I know how to do this on my own for the future.

The initial screen repair was fast and I was happy until I used the iPhone. Since that repair, my iPhone replacement screen was too sensitive and kept activating things that were not pressed. I called to ask what they could do and they said theyd have to get another screen from a different store. They told me they would call me back to arrange to replace it, but I havent heard from them in three days!Batteries Plus called me. Joe took care of the issue gracefully. They fixed the phone and it is now functioning properly. They did it quickly and effectively. One hour turn around. Thank you for taking care of the problem. I would now return to this merchant for more service in the future and am changing my initial rating.

I was recommend to try Batteries + Bulbs by a friend who purchased his motorcycle battery there. He did have an issue with his first battery or more likely with his bike causing the issue. Well he brought it back as it had a 24 month garranty and a no hassle replacement was provided. My experience at the store was friendly and professional. I HIGHLY recommend giving this place a try for your needs.. there is more than just batteries and bulbs there too which surprised me..

Very bad experience with this store. Costs me $19.90 to change the battery of my watch made in Swiss. Made a mark on my watch without obtaining my prior authorization, saying that they can recognize it later for changing battery next time. The battery died after only one week!!! And the refused to change it for me. Terribly unhelpful.

He rambled on about the budget and apologized but continued to deny my request and showed no interest or wouldnt even listen to the urgency and emergency of my issue.Im a co-owner of a small gym business in Naperville as well as managed a UPS Store in West Chicago for a number of years and understand the nuances of running a small business and budgeting/finances/hourly employees. I ran this gym through covid and unlike many small businesses, especially gyms, I made it through it and am beginning to both profit and return to progressing towards my business plan goals once more. So, unless this guy makes over a hundred dollars a hour, he is costing you more money with the sale you lost out on as well as my future business. Additionally, as a gym in the local community if anyone who asks for services from a store such as yours or I speak to will no doubt hear about your customer service and my poor experience with your store. Whatever the reason for this poor service and business practice, like maybe he was feeling too lazy and just didnt want to install a battery? Because, my request was within reason for an emergency situation. Regardless of the why, it was an overall terrible representation of your business and customer service.

I used to love this location . The guy that is usually there is gone now.he was very easy to deal with and always tried to sell something but did it in a friendly manner . I went there two weeks agoNeeded help with a projector bulb and needed batteries for my Garman. . The guy was unhelpful and not very interested in helping me . The atmosphere was totally different . It just aint the same . Ill still shop there but not like I used to. I dont know what you did with the other guy but hopefully he still works here . He made shopping at batteries plus fun and was always trying to help. . Not complaining but a noticeable difference ..

I have used this location to get my car key battery replaced numerous times and never had an issue. I tried taking my husbands car key in to have the same thing done and had a terrible experience. The guy that helped me was really friendly and nice but was juggling a lot of customers himself. He came out at one point and said he couldn’t replace my battery and instead had to take it to the car dealer to be done. No problem...I figured at least I tried, right? But then he told me he had to put my key back together and instead started helping other customers. After 10 minutes or so I asked how much longer it would be. He explained that he had to heat “weld” it back together. Ummm, what?! Still at this point I said nothing and waited. Another employee came out of the back and started helping the next customer waiting. That employee started arguing with the customer about what was wrong with his drill battery. It was extremely uncomfortable and I felt bad for that customer. Anyways, the guy came back with my car key and I was shocked...it looked like it was ripped open and hot glued back together! So annoyed and honestly probably won’t be back based on this experience.

He completed the transaction and thanked the customer for their business. Then he promptly came to me and asked how he could help. I showed him the battery that I was looking for and he was able to take me directly to it on the shelf. He asked if I had any other needs and I said no. He politely asked if he could tell me about some great deals on light bulbs. I remembered that we were running low and thought it might be a good idea to grab some. I went in to get my cracked screen fixed on an iPhone 8plus. Somehow, I came out with a broken home button. I now have to use the home accessibility button and cannot fingerprint into my phone or any of my apps. The screen is fixed but I spent $100 to get a still broken phone. The guy gave a me a discount but it still doesnt fix the irritation. He told me that it was a common problem to which my response is, why did he not inform me of the known problem before he fixed my phone? I might have made a different choice. I gave a 2 because they fixed the screen but broke my phone and only gave me $20 off.

Just had my 2014 Subaru Hybrid Battery replaced at Batteries plus bulbs! Saved about 500 on the battery (OEM at Subaru is 700). The best part of the experience was Ralph getting under the hood and making sure the job was done right. I ordered my battery online and went to the Naperville store to pick it up. The associate at the store told me there was no one at the store that could help me install the battery. I thought that was very odd for a store that specializes in batteries. I went to the Bloomingdale location today to see if I could be helped. The gentleman there was very apologetic about what happened and helped me install the battery. What happened in Naperville did not leave a good impression for a first time customer, I will be going to the Bloomingdale location in the future.

Went in to get a copy of a vehicle key made. Of course, it needs to be programmed. Everytime I have gone in to get it programmed, Im given an excuse as to why they cant do it. I have been trying to get this done since August. I wish I wouldnt have paid up front.Update: went back in later in the evening and Ralph was actually able to help out. Im bumping my review up a star to 3 just because he took the time to help out. If it werent for Ralph Id really think twice about going back in to this location.

OK, so some of you will think that this is perhaps a very foolish reason to give a business a one star rating, but I have to tell you, I wont go back in there.It all started fairly innocently. I was on my way in to Jewel to do some grocery shopping and remembered that I needed some batteries for my flashlight. This isnt just any flashlight. It has this weird off size battery that I normally have to go to a hardware store to get. I popped in to check and was immediately assailed by an overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke.Now look, I grew up in an era where you went into a restaurant and chose smoking or non. At that time people still smoked in bars and other places. Heck, I remember as a kid going to visit my grandmother at Edward Hospital and they still allowed smoking in the patient rooms!The thing of it is Ive gotten used to the new order of things. I havent smoked in years... and as any good ex smoker will tell you... we ARE the worst. In any case the overwhelming cigarette smell made shopping really unpleasant.I figure its your store....do what you wanna do...theres other places to get batteries...Im good.

If I could give zero stars, I would.An awful store with terrible customer service. I went to the store 2 weeks ago wanting to buy a marine battery. The shelve was empty but they said their shipments were coming in on Thursdays and I should check back on a Friday. Came back in Friday - no battery. Talked to the store manager and he said to insure a battery, I would need to place an order. I did that (had to prepay for the order to be placed). The manager said it would be there in ‘a couple of days’.A whole week passed with no call back from the store. I called on a Thursday and they said my battery ‘might’ be in the shipment. Did not hear back for the rest of the day.Went into the store the next day (Friday) and there was no battery. They said they had no idea when the battery would arrive.So they took my order knowing full well that they had no idea when I could get my merchandise.I cancelled the order.Not sure how you can run a business this way, but I’ll never be back and if you need to order something - I’d stay away from this place.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PHONES HERE. I was scammed by the technician and now my home button doesnt work properly. Read below for more.Took my phone in for a minor fix a few months ago. The tech damaged my phone then stated he would fix the screen for free which he did. Once he finished he gave me the phone back stating there was some bad news the home button stopped working. He stated Batteries + couldnt fix it since its Apples proprietary hardware and that Apple would fix it for $20 (a complete lie). I took it to Apple but they said it would cost $150 to fix, so I went back to Batteries to get it resolved.It turns out the work order, which he had me sign, stated the phone wasnt working when I brought it in. This is a complete lie. I also never received a copy of the work order. Because of this work order Batters + wont fix my phone.After numerous talks with the owner, managers and their corporate customer care they all stated they wouldnt fix my phone.I was scammed by this company and they employ disgusting business practices. Theyve lost a customer for life and Ill make sure everyone I know avoids this place.

I didnt turn off the motorcycle ignition which resulted in zero battery voltage. I visited the store (Ogdan and Washington) to test the battery. They helped me to test the battery and also re-charged the battery for free. I noticed few negative reviews about this location, but I didnt face any issues and everyone in the store were friendly. I needed to replace the battery in my key fob. The Batteries Plus guy immediately tried to sell me a lifetime replacement battery for $17.99. I asked how much just a battery was and he told me a pack of two cost $8.99. Do the math. If I bought two two packs it would cost me $17.98 the same as a lifetime battery. Based on the fact my original battery lasted 3 years, two two packs would last me another 12 years. The odds of me still having this car in another 12 years are null, so I said I would take a two pack. The Batteries Plus guy then said he couldnt replace the battery because if he did, I would HAVE to purchase the lifetime battery.I know this is a small amount of money, but its the principle. Why spend $18 on a lifetime battery when a two pack for $9 fills the bill. Watch their lifetime battery deals, they are a rip off and if you dont bite, you get no service. FYI, I purchased a two pack at a hardware store for $6.99!!!!

Great price and most importantly, they always have whatever battery I need IN STOCK so I can get on with my day. In a RARE case of letting someone else perform service work for me, I had them install a phone battery for me after I determined I needed too many tools and it wouldnt be worth it to me to do it myself. A few months later the new battery was great and THEN I FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY that I might as well have done it myself. The very first time my phone contacted water, it had water infiltration and it was destroyed. Not sure who if anyone can maintain a phones waterproof ability once theyve opened it up but I have to say, getting a new phone while all the phone stores were closed during this pandemic was way less than fun. Also, something I did learn from this is that some of the phone stores have a device that you can put your phone in there it can dry it out. You need to turn it off immediately and take it to a place with a REDUX device.

They dropped the ball with my latest project. Ive used them at least a dozen times over the past 5+ yrs. I had them rebuilt a battery pack for my 24V DeWalt tools. It was working fine after the repair, but it slowly stopped holding a charge over the past 6 months.I took it back to them and they commented it was likely a bad weld. I stopped back after not hearing from them in over a week and they indicated they left me a message that they needed my charger... I never got that call. I actually had it with me when I dropped it off originally, but they said they didnt need.Once again, I didnt hear from them so I called them. They indicated the voltage is fine and it should work. I explained that the tools only run at low speeds and have no torque. I brought the drill in for them to experience it.The store manager Jason, has zero customer care skills. He obviously isnt a tech either. His logic that it was the drill was wrong. I brought in the circular saw and it too had no torque. I left 24 days later from dropping it off with no resolution to my problem.I would be very careful with trusting their diagnostics. I took it to the BP Montgomery location (theyre franchises, different owners) and the owner Ron opened it up and troubleshot the problem within 15 minutes. Ron found a bad weld and a defective cell. He repaired it and had me all fixed up in no time.I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere. I contacted corporate to vent and they called the store. It was then determined the battery packs only have a 6 month warranty. This is the 1st Im hearing this and again find their diagnostic abilities are subpar. They had led me to believe that there wasnt going to be any charge. They didnt ever generate a service ticket, they only printed out a copy of the original repair made 9/2017 when I 1st brought it in.

Had a very good experience with watch batteries: ordered a watch battery online (better price than Wal-Mart) to pick up at the store. The website didnt have the option to install, but the store had no problem upgrading to include installation ($9.99 including the battery) which I wanted because this Timex required removing both bands in order to remove the back. After all their extra work the watch didnt work and the store provided a full refund.Ill definitely be returning. I worked with this store some 10 years back to replace the batteries in my rechargeable pack for a DeWalt drill -- worked great and saved me $30 from buying a new replacement.

I bought a sealed marine battery for $300 in December 2013 for use with my Basement Watchdog battery backup sump pump. The battery came with a 24-month warranty. Fast forward 18 months, and the battery dies (discharged, will not charge). I took it back to Batteries Plus, and they gave me fairy tales about how it could have been my Watchdog or it could have been this or it could have been that; basically any excuse except that their battery failed during the warranty period. I escalated to the store owner and he gave me the same song and dance, refusing to honor the warranty. Stay away from this store and this company, they are dishonest liars who will not honor their warranties.

Batteries are horribly expensive, but the experience was great. Why? Well, I bought some small batteries for my tire pressure gauge, and they replaced them for me in the store. Very convenient. However, the batteries didnt fix the pressure gauge, so they willingly returned the item. I called ahead to book a repair. Very friendly technician said it was not a problem and that they were open until 7:00pm. Arrived at 3:30pm, technician had left.Arrived the next day at appointment scheduled online only to be told that the technician wasnt available and that my 9:30 appointment had not been confirmed (it was 9:20!).Trainee behind the counter was both arrogant and passive-aggressive and unwilling to go to any extra effort to recover multiple service failures.
