I have mixed feelings about ToyWiz. I absolutely love their selection and they always have items you can’t find or are sold out everywhere, however, because they have these hard to find items they are incredibly overpriced. Example, a Pokémon limited edition celebrations small tin that on Pokémon Center is 8.99 they are selling for 21.99 and up depending on the region featured. As I said mixed feelings because you get some great finds here but is it worth how much the overcharge? Up to you to decide.

Great LGS! MTG and Pokémon aside, they have a great selection of comics too. Their collectible items are really impressive. They purchase most MTG cards at a a fair value.I am able to visit any of the LGS in NYC five days a week and I drive 40 min to come here instead. Worth the drive just for the experience.

What this company charges online for their trading cards is worse than scalpers online. Absolutely absurd. They should lose the ability to purchased cards from distributors.

Super over priced. Used to be an amazing store with fair prices and a great staff. Now its super over priced on old pokemon and yugioh card sets and extremely over priced on new sets. Sorry but $5000 for a new set of pokemon is insane. Your used to be able to get full boxes for about $500 and you ended up with a whole case. I love toywiz and I used to go there every weekend for the tournaments but things have really changed.

A geeks paradise! Whatever youre into, they have it and know it! Warhammer, Pokemon, d&d, Magic the Gathering, video games, sports cards, other TCGs, toys, action figures, statues, comics etc etc. There are play tables and the staff is absolutely awesome. Cant recommend this store enough! They also buy virtually anything they can sell

This store remains second to none in many areas - product offerings, pricing, etc...Despite many high marks across several facets, I find myself giving a 3 star rating overall. Why? I feel as though the overall store quality has dropped since Carls departure. Yes, the refactoring of store credit is a plus, but there is a noticable decline in quality with store employee interactions. Less friendly, less organized, and definitely a drop in communication across the board both in person and online. The website, Facebook page, and email systems seem to be poorly managed. Emails about major tournaments are never made. They used to keep an updated calendar on their web site which was very helpful - they no longer do this and insist instead on checking their Facebook page, which is not ideal (I know many people who no longer use Facebook for example). Discord server posts from admins/employees happen rarely, if ever.Overall, still one of (if not THE) best store in the county for singles, events, etc. But missing a little on the communication side.

Was surprised to see so many 1-star reviews, but those seem mostly targeting the separate website. I stopped by on a whim on the way to another gaming store further north, and was blown away by the selection of miniatures and D&D items. Found a number of things I had been looking around for for some time. Prices were excellent on all things GW, between that and selection a stop here would beat ordering online 100% of the time. Staff checked in when I got in, gave me space to shop, and were super friendly when I was checking out. I considered skipping out on reviewing them to keep this as my own secret, but these are the kinds of stores we ought to support! Will be back next time I pass through the area!

Love to look but strongly dislike the prices. What’s AWFUL is, TOYWIZ goes to Walmart, target, etc and purchases the exclusive figures/items from that store and they resell them in their store for 5X the price. Yes, I understand you are using eBay prices but you are ruining hobby collecting for this area. A Star Wars black series figure shouldn’t be $75 or TMNT neca single figures shouldn’t be $99. Also the back issues of your comic collection is a mess.

Ive been looking for the starter decks for the 2020 Digimon trading card game, but theyre being sold at a very high price in a ton of places. Found out about this place and they had what I was looking for at a good price. The customer service was fantastic! And the wide variety of cards, collectables, action figures, and etc was amazing! Definitely will be coming back more often and with friends! Highly recommend coming here!

Their product selection is amazing and now while under new management they have been booming. Though if you are interested in doing tournaments for mtg and or yugioh, there prize support currently as of writing this leaves more to be desired. Though, there large selection and the games they have avaliable make up for it.

The worst customer service ever. They flag your account after one issue. Called customer service and they said word for word “you can take your business somewhere else.” I asked them is there anything I can do to fix the issue, they said NO. Definitely the worst customer service I’ve ever had in my life and I’m not one to write bad reviews EVER. But this definitely needs to be addressed.There losing good business this way.If I could I would give no stars but I had to give atleast a star, they definitely don’t deserve this ONE STAR.

I come here with my 7 year old to buy Pokémon cards. The attention they give kids with their questions is better than any 5th Ave NYC luxury store gives adults. They are always so engaging, fun and helpful. I come here just to see my son’s face beam when he gets to talk about his love for all things toys, trading cards, comics and on the other side of that conversation is an amazing employee who really loves talking to kids.

So I bought one of your Poke Stars buy backs for $240. I was skeptical as always with buying a mystery item box but considering the price I figured this had to be somewhat legit. Come to find a hidden legends Machop. A $1.50 graded card. No pack. No throw in item as advertised. Again I wasnt expecting much but this is the biggest SCAM I have ever seen. Also love how I cant leave a review on the site to warn other customers.

Dont go there. I tried to support my LGS and they just let me down time and time again between high prices, disorganization, and laziness. Trying to order singles from this place is a nightmare. Every time it takes a week+ just for them to put together 4-10 cards. That is, if they dont just pretend like they never got my order...which has also happened multiple times.

This store has a great atmosphere from the moment you walk in. Very clean and organized. Most items are pricey but there are some cool inexpensive things you can find. The staff is very helpful and informative. Every time I visit I personally ask for J.D because he is THE MAN.

Good selection of figures but their prices are very high. Charging $44.99 for a new released $19.99 GI Joe figure and $37.99 for a Shawn Michaels figure i paid $19.99 at the Target 1/4 mile down the road. These arent figures that have been long out of production. I could understand a $5 to $10 mark up but trying to make a customer pay double for a new release thats unfair to us collectors

Great service. they mix up order for $449.99 Mcfarlane Mike Trout Premiere level limited to 200 with the regular version Mike Trout for $54.99. They cancel order for rare Trout yet they sent it and refunded the entire amount. so I got the rare version for $59, LMAO They can keep the reg version as I bought one on ebay for 24 bucks, keep up the excellent work and hire more employees like these. thanks a ton

Great store, only problem is that its not closer to my home. It would have been nice if they offered to move to be closer to me, but nobodys perfect but that there only flaw that Im aware of. But reallt your store is awesome and I love the website because I am not local but I can still get my Pokemon and other toys sent to my door step.

I haven’t been able to find some exclusive funko pops anywhere but here! I had called to make sure that they had them in the store because I don’t live in the area and they didn’t, but they had placed my order to get them and it was less then a week. Shoutout to Paul and Louis for helping me with my purchase they were great :)

Absolutely phenomenal service. Stopped in today to get some pokemon cards looked at and Manny must be the most knowledgeable person in the state. My cards were all Japanese and not only did Manny know what he was looking at, but he also gave me some very solid advice to get them graded and is even helping to facilitate the grading process between me and CGC. When I get them back Ill update this review to let yall know how the process went, but so far its been an exceedingly pleasurable experience.

They over charge by more then double of all trading cards not worth it they are not a retail store they are a “resellers” just keep up on restocks and buy in store every overseas is cheaper then here hahaResponse— you say the store is diff then the website how is anyone supposed to know that and in all reality it hurts your business I hear this complaint from many collectors around here that have nuttin good to say about your prices and stops them from visiting store but if u say so I’ll come by store and check if it’s same as website if not Will fully retract and rewrite my review

Updated 6/30/20 - I re-bumped my messages to customer service and received a refund notification over email for the error which was generous considering I could have been required to return the items as well. Amending my rating accordingly.Buyer Beware - For sons COVID reward for good behavior during home schooling, he asked for very specific Minifigures from a special series that he loves. 2 out of 5 Mini figures came back from the company with swapped figurines from a different set than the one we had ordered - we emailed images from multiple sets to show that the figures we received were obviously swapped (Ordered from a cute series and got 2 from a totally different, darker series). I sent an email to customer service requesting support to swap back in what we had ordered and the company did not respond.

My daughter wanted one thing for her birthday. My wife found the very toy my little girl wanted on ToyWizs website. It was a preorder, and it was guaranteed for delivery by sometime in October 2020. My wife pre-ordered the item. October 2020 is now here, but they contacted my wife and said that the manufacturer has discontinued the item and it is no longer available. The item was still listed on their website when they told my wife this. The day after they contacted my wife, they not only still had it on their site, but they raised the price and listed it as in stock. So, rather than honor a guarantee, they lied about it, saying it was discontinued by the manufacturer, and then listed the discontinued item on their website for a higher price the very next day.

ToyWiz is awesome! Its always a trip down memory lane for me when I go there and look at all of the comic books because it reminds me of when I used to collect when i was younger. When I walked in today the staff introduced themselves to me and greeted me with a smile!

The store has recently undergone a full renovation and it looks amazing. if you want to talk about going from a one-star to a five-star store overnight, well they have certainly done it. their selection of games from Pokemon to magic the gathering to games workshop offerings like Sigmar, blood bowl and 40K including the full line of citadel paints ♥️. If youre into maquettes and action figures, they have walls filled with them. Sports cards? Display and storage options? Yep! The back area used for gaming is currently closed due to the covid-19 crisis. But during normal times, they always host lots of great games in the back.

Redid it since I last been there and its looking good! Always been a great place for comics and hobbies in the area.

Wayyyy overpriced on trading cards. Even with the shortage I can find boxes for cheaper elsewhere.

Their brick and mortar store seems to be more catered toward gathering for game players and whatnot vs being toy/comic store. It was much better many years ago when they had more toys in the store. Now its for magic players to meet and you use their online store to buy toys. Which is usually more expensive than other online stores.

3 stars for the crazy prices, you will pay top dollar on all bust the newest card sets. They charge 20 to 30% more than the other shops. But they do have the biggest selection of sealed product ive seen out there in brick and mortar stores.

Went in with my 9 year old son who was asking questions about a game. The associate recognized that he had no clue about the game and how it was played. He went to the back and gave him a ton of samples. That was very nice and I appreciated taht he did not force us to spend money on something we did not know he would stick with or like. Well done!

Online customer service does not exist. I contacted the facebook page about something wrong with my order and I essentially got told, thats shippings problem and they couldnt help. Then the shipping number was a auto message with no ability to talk to a person and linked to a website. that website was a dead link.

I am not sure why the ratings are low, but the people that work there are very nice and helpful. Some of toywiz’s items are a bit overpriced but you can still manage to find items below retail. Plus it’s a great place to visit if you are a collector.

Good selection of everything youd expect at a comic store but definitely more pricey than what youd get online. Staff is a hit or miss. One cashier that I can think of in particular is quite rude every time I see him but otherwise staff is fine

Store has a ton of collectibles and an extensive comic collection. Also a huge gaming area dedicated to card, board and miniature gaming. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and all enthusiasts of what is sold in the store.

Not many of these types of stores around anymore. Employee was very helpful and though they didnt have the item I was looking for contacted his boss and got an ETA on when the item would be delivered. Would definitely shop there again.
