For such a tiny little store theyve got EVERYTHING. We know about all the big box sports stores but they never deliver like Big 5.

Big Five has the right to require masks in their store in an area with almost zero covid cases, no government mask restrictions and a nearly empty store where social distancing is easy. And I have the right to turn around and walk out. They probably haven’t lost much business because people are so willing to comply these days. And I’m sure Big Five has saved innumerable lives with its mask policy.

Yeehaw my gun sally was unloaded all day so i went yonder to this here big 5 for some b-52 nato special ammonition and they turned me away because i wasnt wearing some kinda mind control mask. My sister who is also my wife and i were very angry and now sally is still unloaded!! Forgave my grammer i never gratuated fourth grade.#Maternation

Its a really good little store with a little bit of everything. From wake boarding to baseball and fishing to school bags. The prices arent competitive but they are fair, and a few items can be found on a good sale. Id definitely go back again.

I visited this business as a last resort to find roller blades as there were none available in my Daughters size anywhere to purchase in time for her birthday.Big 5 had one pair her size.I asked them to hold the skates.I rushed over immediately,upon entering the store I was bombarded by Staff demanding a Face Mask, instead of welcoming me into the store as a Paying Customer.It was very disrespectful,dehumanizing & unprofessional Customer Service.If their whole focus is on people suffocating themselves instead of Customer Service, Sales Margins,monthly & Fiscal Goals, & Inventory then their Priorities are absolutely misplaced and backwards.While I was able to purchase what I needed,including a Bathing Suit as a gift,that I later had to exchange for a different size,the experience wasnt as positive or Joyful as it should be.That was my 1st visit to the store.I likely will NOT come back unless this issue is corrected immediately.When I returned with My Daughter to exchange bathing suit,there were Several People ambushed by employee about a Mask,then walking out.That was a HUGE Missed Opportunity to make sales,give excellent Customer Service & positive experience.I was appalled,especially as someone who has worked in management & Customer Service over 25 years.A final note,it is not a Retail Stores job to force something used as Medical devices on patrons nor control the way people live their lives,personal choice and Individual responsibility is key to a free society.What I saw & experienced personally was Segregation,Discrimination & Dehumanizing. This is grounds for lawful action if not corrected immediately.The SW District Health Department Voted 3/24 removing ALL RECOMMENDATIONS & Color Health Alert pertaining to COVID-19,such as Masks,Social Distancing,Signage &Stickers on doors can All Stop! They realized the damage done,recognizing the misuse of these suggestions by Businesses.Your doors are not Open without Customers walking through those doors willing to spend their hard earned money.Discrimination & Segregation on Patrons will get your doors closed down fast.The 1946 Civil Rights ACT was to prevent this very thing.ADA & HIPPA FEDERAL LAWS also protect the Individuals Rights from Violation even by a Private Business ownership.Every Business, both Private or Public Must adhere to ADA Law,stated that any Business that Benefits Financially off the General Public is subject to this Law.Please make the Necessary corrections & retrain your Staff.

I often take advantage of their 1-Day deals, and bought a pair of shoes for tennis last week. I wore them last Saturday for 5 sets, and my feet were really hurting. They are good shoes, but just didnt fit my feet. I took them back and found a better fitting shoe. Exchanged with no problems. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Refused to allow medical exemption for mask requirement. Corporate worked with CA for an exception on their new gun laws and then bailed on the rest of us. This company can crash and burn. Good riddance.

Today I visited this store with my 3 young kids. Looking for some youth cleats. I was greeted right as I walked thru the doors by a very polite worker named Rob. He directed me right where I needed to look. He looked for sizes at other stores. Offered to put some of my selections at the front counter for time of purchase. With 3 busy kids, this trip was a breeze thanks to the outstanding customer service provided. Brittany who rang us up was also very welcoming. Got us rang up and out the door with what we needed in a timely manner. With customer service like this Im willing to pay full prices. I hope management rewards such great service!!

This particular Big 5 seems kind of cramped and they did not have a very large selection of fishing rods. The manager suggested Big 5 near the Boise River as they have a larger selection. Why dont all Big 5s in the area carry the same thing. Most people drive out of the area to go fishing. Still nice store and friendly people.

Good sale prices. Got Denali brand shoes three times. Different models. Three times the shoes and replacements fell apart. Need to discontinue Denali brand altogether and replace it with a new brand that will hold up more than a few days.

Went in on a Sunday, there were three staff members working. I asked one of them to help me locate a pair of cross-training shoes and he just pointed toward a rack like Vanna White, and said theres some over there and didnt offer any help, really poor service experience,I will never go back in there again.

Tried buying a pair of shoes online & having them shipped but was having problems with the shipping address as it would only let me write it the way they wanted it written, I contacted the Nampa store after explaining my situation they gave me the # to customer service although right now customer service was closed for the evening so I figured I would wait Until the next day. I woke up early called customer service & they were closed for the weekend. As I explained to the clerk last night the sale ended on Saturday now it’s Saturday and there’s no customer service to help me. Once again I call the Nampa store speak to a nice manager who takes all my information & is willing to help me out except they don’t have the size I need. I call back later get a different manager explained the whole situation once again he goes through the trouble tracking down a pair of shoes in that size in another state & then tells me after all this or they don’t ship from store! This Nampa store has the best selection of knives. I like to collect and buy some for gifts. Their weekly ad always has a couple of great brand name knives for 50% or more off. For example I picked up a Kershaw Cyrpton for $20. Beautiful blade and weight balance, with the assist to open feature. They have CRKT too, which is most likely my favorite brand.
