Steer clear .. costly and non responsive .Sold 1k of equipment to find out after install and of course payment, the equipment is only useable if you pay 60$ a month. That was not what we were told at time of sale. No-one ever answers the phone in billing. Extremely disappointing and misleading .

CPI is by far the least reliable security system I have ever had, and has the absolute worst customer service. Everytime our alarm goes off, we dont even receive a call to make sure everything is ok. Faulty equipment, and the app does not work either. Everytime the technician comes out, they claim everything works properly but it doesnt. I cant access the app to see who is at my doorbell until minutes after the door bell was pushed, door bell doesnt sound 9/10 times, smoke detectors do not function when things have been burned in the kitchen, no calls when alarm is set off...the list goes on and on. Refuses a return of the equipment that does not function properly, CPI Security is nothing but a bunch of scam artists at best. Stay away before they take all of your money, too.

Our representative, Dana Champlin is very knowledgeable about CPI product and service. We appreciated his assistance and patience in the process of our purchase. He is accessible to our questions and concerns. We had a stellar experience with our technician Alex and other staff such as Steve by phone. We look forward to the security they will provide our home and family in the years to come.

Phil Bruley was an absolute pleasure to work with. He went above and beyond my expectations. Phil is the type of guy that you could call in the middle of the night if you hear a strange noise and he would speed to your house to investigate the problem. I’m so pleased with my CPI security system. I would recommend Phil and CPI to ANYBODY.

Purchased CPI security system that was already installed by previous owners in 11/18 Paid every 6 months for services, was paid up until 11/19. we sold our home 9/19 with 2 months unused ( THAT WE PAID FOR ) I cancelled service on 9/19/19 and was expecting a refund for the 2 months unused. I was told I was locked into a 12 month contract with them, and no refund would be due since I was under the 12 month agreement. I was never told this when we signed up for CPI services. Hope new owners of our previous address does not sign up with this company...Will not recommend this company to anyone! IF your considering this company, run as fast as you can away from them, they are sugar sweet and nice when signing up for their services, but if you have to cancel prior to your 12 month agreement with them BEWARE GO ELSEWHERE AND ASK IS THERE ANY EARLY CANCELLATION PENALTIES!

Called to schedule service for existing inside camera and to install new outside camera. Was given date for service call and waited around for half the day for CPI to show up. When I called to follow up, the service call was not scheduled, but was on a if they have time to get to it status - which made no sense. And my new camera request was still sitting in limbo waiting for operations to reply to request since the following week. So I re-schedule service call - I hope, and cancelled the new camera until I can evaluate whether the service call actually gets done. I will evaluate whether I continue with CPI since both requests were so poorly handled..

Alarm malfunctions, glass break malfunctions, Lied to by Rep promotions never running bonuses again we discussed in October, then ran after put deposit. Sent contract 668 months???Never sent paper contract after this Fraud refuse to retify very poor customer service all sales no service.MYRTLE BEACH POOR POOR SERVICE.

CPI Nic really helped us get the deal we could afford. He was super helpful with the options to secure our house the best, since we didn’t have a doorbell connection. He had great customer service and was super efficient, I appreciate how thorough he was with explaining everything. I definitely recommend him if you are looking for a security system installation. My family and I will feel so much safer, so thank you Nic!

Beware, contracts are for 3 years. I was never told this, and thought it was for 1 year. I have bought another home, and to remove equipment and then have it installed in the new house, was over $400. To get out of my contract, I have to pay $800. Figured that if it cost $400 to have it placed in my new home, might as well take that money that I would have spent, and spend a little more, and be done with this company. Will say, that I was called, with smoke detectors going off, when I cooked something smokey in the kitchen. So, I am sure the smoke detectors worked. One claim, is that with system, I would get a discount on my insurance, and I did NOT get any discount on my insurance.

They take out money when they are not authorized to and then refuse to return it. I was told that they would give me a credit because they can’t return said funds to my account. This month they did it again they are thieves that steal money and the service is subpar my camera’s rarely work. I wish I would of never gotten this service if I could I would get rid of it.

Tech doesnt show up you cant get them on the phone. My current wait time is 287 minutes on the phone. And yes i have tried to chat (doesnt work). BEWARE THIS COMPANY IS FAKE . systems only work the half time long holds and there tech no call no show . has little to no support.
