I would give this place zero stars if I could. I went in for a simple exhaust weld and Dennis a mechanic that worked there quoted me $290 to replace the whole pipe. He told me that it could not be welded. I was suspicious about this so I went to another muffler shop where they welded the exhaust pipe for $50. This is the kind of business that only wants your money and if you come in with something that can be fixed easily at a reasonable cost, they will try to convince you to make a bigger job out of it. They give you a big smile and sound sincere but I urge you to get another opinion before throwing your money at these people.

Our family car died on us the other day. Got a recommendation to bear valley from a friend. Had the car towed over. They were able to diagnose the problem right away and had the water pump replaced and we were back on the road. Thanks to the guys @ bear valley. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Came in for a cat converter replacement. Found out I had another check engine code for an evap leak as well, that was going to cost an extra $100+ to get checked and then fixed. The leak happened to be a small hose that had come loose (discovered while breaking the car down for the cat job). Nick at the front let me know he was pretty sure that was the cause of the error code and that the extra check/work was not necessary. I really appreciated the honesty, I had already agreed to the extra costs and a person with less integrity could have easily taken my money and told me the issue had been resolved. Quick service, easy to work with and completed the whole job on time at a reasonable price. Highly recommend this shop!

These guys took care of my muffler problem without taking advantage of me. I needed my muffler to be heated and bent back into shape and they did it quickly and inexpensively (less than $50) where another place tried to charge me $150...

Charged $200 dollars for reattaching a tailpipe. My exhuast sqeaks when driving

I am still overwelmed for the Service, the honesty, & follow through from Gary the owner, & his co workers for helping today!! I had a catalitic convertor replaced by them, a few weeks earlier. Today I took my car in to be smoged, at a smog shop close by. It didnt pass the smog!! I was shocked....told that, the right part was not installed! I return to Bear Valley, not knowing what to expect. I felt like I was being taken advantage of, from someplace, just because I am a single woman.To my surprise, was told this particular Smog place, has told 3 customers of theirs the same thing, wouldnt pass it. So, my car was checked, by Bear Valley, he in turn, told me to wait, & took my car to another smog shop, & it passed!!! I was in shock, did not know what to say....really, I said thank you of course, but did not expect this, to turn out as it did. I would recomend them to any of you out there, they have been in business for at least 40 yrs. I think I heard, & will take my car problems to them any time. Very grateful am I!! Thank you Sincerely Gary, your son, & your co workers, I appreciate businesses who are honest with their customers.
