We dont have Big 5 stores where I am from. I joined the email club and decided to see if they honor the specials. I was greeted by Zach who offered to help me. Not being from here I asked where the Nike socks were. He took me to the socks and pointed out all the styles. They are a lot cheaper here than the department stores. I also took advantage of their shoe sale going on. Thanks Zach! Great customer service.

Currently, you still cant try anything on here unfortunately. They have Masks Required sign up, but no one actually wears a mask and none of the works said anything, so youre fine walking in without a mask. Customer service isnt great at this location; when I was checking out, the guy at the register (who I believe is also the manager) was talking with his friend about some dating drama the entire time and said nothing to me, thats not the way to treat a customer. There was one floor employee I asked a question and he was helpful, bit the manager didntcare at all. If you want better treatment, I recommend going to a different location.

Large selection of every sport you can think of. A little hard to locate things without help. Staff is nice, manager was engaging and kind.

We came in today just to browse and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. I can tell that the crew are a good group and the manager is kind and friendly too. Good job!

Found what I was looking for easily and more. Shop is conveniently located and has good parking space available too. There are no shopping carts but staff offer to help get items to the car if needed. More to explore here next time.

I go to big 5 to buy sneakers and I had a pair of Nike monarch and the lace loop broke, and I was able to exchange them and get a new pair, easy quick trip. I’ll be shopping here more.

Don’t ever buy a bicycle from this store. My son bought a Kent Rage 26” for transportation back and forth to work. I had to adjust the front derailleur and remount his handlebars that were completely free from the gooseneck. His work associate had to reattach his from wheel to the forks or he would’ve lost the wheel. He also needed to adjust the brake cables so he could actually stop without using his feet. Do NOT trust their assembly!!

Had to do a return and it was very easy. Even though I bought the items 2 months ago. I had my receipt and thats all it took

Its no Cabelas but there are some nice deals! Big 5 was recommended by a friend. I bought 2 pairs of shoes there. The service was good, Selection was ok, and the prices were more than fair. Ill be back.

I always find the few sporting goods I need at Big 5. There has always been plenty of customer service as Im rushing around to find what I need. The sales clerks are nice and very helpful.

We just waited in the parking lot to meet a person who sold us a Pua pin. We had. Ample parking space.

Was immediately greeted as I walked through the doors. Felt very welcomed! Took only a few minutes to locate item wanted. Was able the check out quickly. Cashier was friendly and wished me a happy holiday and a good evening! Great experience when shopping in busy Friday.

It was my first time there. I was very impressed by the variety of shoes and boots available in the store. They also had a wide range of sizes so I found the size I need. My boots were already on sale but I got an extra 10% off by using an ad O received on my phone. The sales people were helpful and friendly. My husband and I will definitely go back again.

Had what we wanted, was quick ans easy

Quality work boots for a reasonable price, last time I bought the Caterpillar steel-toes on sale for $79, and they lasted about ten months. This time I decided to try the Wolverine on sale for $89. I dont see a reason to buy Carhartt or Red Wing because the boots for $250 last 2.5 years, so it works out about the same.

Wide variety of sporting goods. It seems that most of the equipment they carry is not necessarily the highest quality, but it depends on what youre looking for. There are definitely hidden gems here. Theyve got lots of lawn games for pretty cheap which is nice since most people arent looking for a $200 corn hole set.

Yes, this place does have sporting goods, but seems to have turned into a 90% please the people who are more worried about how they look when 1/4 mile from their 4x4 that has never left pavement.Although i do have to give this store some credit for their selection of fishing gear.But overall, definitely not close to the outdoor store to what they were a few years ago.

This is my first go to sporting goods store. Went looking for Metal BB’s at a different sporting good store and couldn’t find any there then went to Big 5 and found some right away.

Sports-wise, Big 5 Sporting Goods has anything you could need. The variety available is good and the prices are reasonable.

Good seasonal selection of basic sportswear, clothing and shoes, boots, sports equipment. Discount sporting goods.

Shoe selection could have been better, Limited on smaller mens sizes but employees were welcoming and friendly they required masks to enter the store and the place was super clean.

Came in for a life jacket. Wow... great for me they were on sale. Not many in the store, but a employee came and asked if I needed help. Nice job. Easy access from the street. Big parking lot. Store was bright and clean. Found items very easily. Look for their coupons in the paper and in mailers. You could save a couple of dollars. I feel they have Quaility items here.

The staff here are very friendly. The prices are what bring me back.They have been super helpful when something is wrong with a product. Returns were fair and easy. I like doing business here. Rick Miller and several other staff members have been extremely helpful.

Called them about some 25lb weider weight plates Ive been trying to find. They put me on hold to find out if they had them in stock, when they came back they told me that they had three in stock. I told him l would be right over to get them. Drove over to find out they dont have ANY in stock. Love driving around for nothing in rush hour traffic, thanks guys.

Big 5 is fun to shop at we go there when were looking for hunting gear or snow gear. We all loved efficient my family and its a great place to find some awesome deals on fishing lers reels polls everything you need to enjoy your fishing trip. We also hunt a lot and you can find anything camel you need and they always have great deals

Definitely the best place for sporting goods in Tooele! They have camping, shooting, and fishing goods as well. Have great sales more often than not! Ive always received excellent customer service here.

I used to go there with my ex,and my mom goes there to buy my brothers shoes.Great prices and I have found my favorite Bear Paw slippers there.

I used to support Big 5, on all my camping trips, all over the west. Until I applied for a job there. I was told I would have to cover my tattoos and cut my hair. Really? In the outdoor industry? Thats the biggest load of bull I have ever heard. Get real, its 2019 now. Theres quality people with tats and long hair, get over your outdated beliefs. Totally ashamed for supporting them for so long.

I got boots from big 5 for $30 that broke my feet into two pieces in one day I was limping like an old 85 year old and Im a young worker at big D my blister on my foot is winking at me right now it hurts so bad walking in these shoes and I couldnt return them because I had warned them one day at work the return policy is s***

This place has a good selection of stuff. Im not sure what the market is for sporting goods is like, but its definitely not exorbitantly expensive or anything. I saw sales on shoes and also some you know, clearance racks if youre into that sort of thing. Both times Ive been it has been nearly empty but someone was stationed at the checkout counter and the employees where helpful.

If I had room for a personal gym I’d probably shop here for my stuff. Good selection. Sporty if you will.

Very poorly stocked

There were many customers and two employees on a Saturday afternoon - one at the register and another in the shoe department. The shoe guys was incredibly slow and inept at customer service. Lack of employees is indicative of poor scheduling by the management... And its not the first time weve experienced this frustration at this location. Ended up at Dicks after wasting too much time at Big 5

I had a shockingly good experience Christmas shopping today at Big 5. Its the first time Ive ever been there. I was greeted pleasantly when I came in, the sales team were super helpful, and the cashier went out of his way to help me with my purchase. Im very impressed and will definitely go back for my sports fanatics.

Double-check their work for them!They have a no-refund policy on ammo, which is actually very understandable; but, as with everything, has its own time and place.Dont get me wrong, when I came in the staff was fairly helpful. I asked for some .22 ammo and 2 boxes of 20G shotgun ammo, one at a time. I didnt think to double check his work since hey, he works there and probably knows what hes doing better than I do. Unfortunately, what he gave me was 12G ammo, which is completely unusable to me.I came back in to return it and they explained their policy to me, which is totally understandable; except for the fact that it was an employee error that lead to my returning. The guy behind the counter was apologetic, but had no solutions whatsoever except to show me a card that said ammo sales are final. They wouldnt allow a $14 return on a $50 sale despite their own error.My first experience was so good that I was considering buying a shotgun there, even after I noticed the error. Looks like Id be better off flushing my cash down the toilet than going there again.

The Big 5 on State St was great the one on 3500 S never has shoe sizes we need.

They have a good selection. Prices are modest, although not everything is marked with a price tag. They do have quite a bit of variety in this location. The employees were nice and helpful.

Came to get a ymtreadmill they had on sale and was told at first they didnt have it. I almost drove to American Fork to get in when the manager over heard and got involved. They had the treadmill in stick and in the back. I feel like maybe it was a training issue, but aside from that they were really nice, and helpful, and Im so glad the manager noticed the error of the employee, which happens.

I was completely insulted by the manger James when he told me I had to leave because I was supposedly loitering and looked suspicious. But in fact I was just browsing because I wasnt sure what I wanted to buy yet, when I did decide on what I was going to purchase it was some fishing supplies. When James had approached me and asked me to leave I had a handful of the items I had decided to purchase. When I asked him why I was being asked to leave he said it was because I was loitering, looked suspicious and hadnt bought anything YET!!! The only reason I can think of for his actions is the fact that I had a backpack on and he must have assumed I was homeless. Do to this incident I will never return to the Big 5 store on 5900 south State St. So fair warning if you go to this location with a backpack on and are unsure of what you want to purchase chances are you will be asked to leave because you look suspicious.

If i need some disc golf plastic in a pinch, Big 5 always has a decent selection of Innova DX, Champion and GStar to choose from. (Get the Aviar, its the only disc you need). They also carry a few different bags when your collection gets too big to carry in a hand.

This is a very large, nice Big 5. Greeted upon entrance and found exactly what we needed. Also has a large athletic shoe collection.

Needed rope guy asked what I needed found me the cheapest one was in and out in less then 5 minutes it was great
