What can I say about Mr. Transmission? Simply, the BEST! I was referred to him by another mechanic. I called, he gave me a quote and he even told me that he will be able to get my car towed for me. They came and got my car with no problem, he fixed it in a matter of 3 days DURING A STORM, he did other minor repairs for me and to top it off he gave me a lesser price than what he originally quoted. He even scanned my entire car and gave me other things that needed to be worked on eventually. I cant be more pleased with the entire transaction. My Ford 2011 F150 has been without air-conditioning for a few weeks and I decided to go to the Franklin Ford dealer to get it repaired. They took six days to determine that it needed a new compressor and the cost would be approaching $1900. I decided to try someone else in Murphysboro and that was Mr. transmission. I had an immediate response and repair done with new compressor for less than half the price of the Ford dealership. I am very pleased and would recommend them to anybody needing repair and will use them for the for the future.

Anytime I called (I called a lot because I wanted to make sure I didn’t miss anything) Jeff answered and didn’t mind answering my questions. I needed a full rebuild recently on my Pathfinder transmission. I had called around for various estimates and received the usual and expensive sales pitch. When I called Jeff here, he not only had the most reasonable price out of the competitors, but was up-front, personable, and honest. I told him I was on a tight budget and that was my only car to get around in. He got me a discount on the tow bill, got the car in the next day, and had the whole transmission done and ready in just a few days time, and that’s including him having to order parts. Additionally, he had the decency to actually text me pictures of the damage for the peace of mind of knowing it truly needed everything replaced. And he kept in touch with me regularly without having to hound and annoy anyone. He looked out for my best interest and also my budget. They say cheaper doesn’t always mean better. This work wasn’t cheap by any means. It was just more affordable than other legitimate competitors. The car shifts great, the turnaround time is extremely fast, the communication is excellent (which is important), Jeff is honest (which is a rarity these days) and he even gave me a discount. Their warranty is also better, or equivalent to any other transmission shop. He didn’t have to do any of these extra things for me, but he did, and for having the decency and kindness to do so, I am very grateful and thankful for that. He definitely earned a loyal and lifetime customer out of me, and I will continue to recommend people to them.

Jeff Bolton did a great job replacing the transmission in my Nissan Versa using Nissan parts. He told me the price over the phone and charged me exactly that. He explained at every step what he was doing. It started with a check engine light and some symptoms that got progressively worse as I used the vehicle after he first checked it. He is trustworthy and a good mechanic.

I had these guys rebuild a transmission on a geo tracker 5 years ago and its still running great after all the abuse I could put it through. Of course, they were my first choice when I needed a reliable mechanic to replace the clutch and rear main seal on my daily driver. Not only did they give me a great price but they got the job done in 2 and half days from drop-off. I called all around town. They absolutely had the best price and most professional customer service throughout the whole experience. I was fully expecting to not have my clutch fixed until after Thanksgiving but these guys blew my mind with their timely completion of the job. Great people, great service, GREAT PRICES. I got d!cked around by Toyota, so I decided to give this place a shot. I do most work myself, except the transmission. Jeff was very professional and personable, he showed me exactly what was happening and what was needed to remedy the issue. My truck shifts like a new vehicle and the clutch is no longer super heavy. For the amount of work done and the quality of the work I would highly recommend this shop. Ive got to go back in a few weeks because they like to follow up and double check their work.

To begin, Id give this company 0 stars but I have to give at least 1 star to even post a review.I scheduled an appointment online for window tinting. When scheduling the appointment you have to include your reason for the appointment and I clearly indicated it was for window tinting. I received an email confirmation that my appointment was set for 8am. When I arrived at the shop i was greeted by Jeff. He looked surprised to see me there and after explaining to him my reason for being there and my scheduled appointment, he essentially told me my appointment wasnt valid for tinting and it was for the transmission side of the business. Instead of him apologizing and suggesting I cant do it now, but i can do it at...., he just basically tells me he cant do it. I told him thank you Ill just try to find somewhere else. He just says ok and that was it. To me, this was extremely unprofessional, poor customer service and i couldnt believe how easily he just turned away business without even trying to reschedule another time. I will never recommend this place to anyone i know. Totally unprofessional!!

I didn’t know what to expect. Whenever you have to take a vehicle in for repair it’s usually not a fun experience. I thankfully was recommended by a mechanic friend to take my Suburban to Mr Transmission in Madison, TN but that was an hour drive. So I noticed we had one in Murfreesboro area and I took it there instead. I dealt directly with the owner Jeff. I took it in on a Tuesday afternoon and he said possibly Thursday but definitely by Friday. It was done within 48 hours I received a call at around 1230pm Thursday that it was finished. When I picked the Suburban up Jeff told me that he wanted me to bring it back in a couple of weeks so they can do a quick check on the seals and gaskets that were replaced too. I ended up having a complete rebuild done and the computer replaced as well. When I had to leave it for a couple of days that also put us down a vehicle. Jeff was able to help with getting a rental car through his people at Avis and he allowed me to add it on the final bill which was a huge help since I don’t have a credit card which is usually needed to rent a car. I was so pleased with all the services at this business and the quality of work that was done too. I don’t usually leave reviews but Jeff and Mr Transmission definitely earned one and all my future car repairs will be done here. Even though it says Mr Transmission they do it all here not just a Transmission shop. Jeff was polite, laid back, professional and most of all sincere and trustworthy. Can’t thank him enough on how he took care of me and my family with the entire process.

Mr. Transmission- NOT JUST FOR TRANSMISSIONS. More on that in a second. Jeff fixed the transmission on my Outlook a couple of years ago and we havent had any trouble out of it since. He is honest, and his prices are very reasonable. I also learned that he doesnt just do transmission work. He can do regular maintenance and mechanic work like any other shop. Had my windows tinted today at a great price. Now the price I might have been able to match (though not easily) but the craftsmanship of the work done was far superior to the last few cars I tinted. In fact, I dont know exactly how he was able to get it in some of the curvy areas without removing the door panels. Highly recommended!

Jeff did an exceptional job from start to finish. He clearly explained the repair process, the cost, the time, etc. He finished early. This was a full replacement transmission on a 2012 Nissan Altima CVT. I would definitely recommend Jeff and his shop.

Wish I could leave 0 stars. First off, we have brought a car here around 5 times and nothing has been fixed. However, this experience was especially terrible. As soon as we walk in, we tell the man who is supposedly a cooperate, that our check engine light is yet again, back on. He starts rambling about us chewing him out. The owner had some problems and this dork was there to fill in. He says he doesnt even work there. He gets in both our faces and tells while calling my grandmother a bad parent. Finally we were able to talk to someone who knows good customer service. Do not waste your time at this dirty, run down, dump. Go somewhere clean and reliable.

Brought my car in due to my check engine light on and transmission D light flashing, engine code pointed to something with my 3rd clutch pressure switch. I called in and Jeff told me to just swing on by on he would take a look at it. Within the hour I was out of there, luckily it was that a little rodent chewed through the wire. I walked out of there without a large bill, like I was expecting after all the research I did. And my car is running just like it used to now. Thank you Jeff for your quick help!

Great window tinting at a good price. I have had 2 vehicles tinted there over the past 5 years & taking another there soon. You can trust that the tint will last for a very long time & I am not the kind of guy that trust many people.I have had tints finished by others in the past & it only lasted a few years.

Terrible customer service.. don’t waste your time with these people. They had my car for 3 days and made me sit in their waiting room because I was told the car will be ready in the morning.. well I ended up sitting there from open to close because of the terrible communication they have and all they kept saying was “ we’re waiting on parts” ( when I was told the day before that they already had the part ) and “ he’s out there working on it still”. They were just very rude and I knew that they could tell that I was frustrated but no one cared and just took their time. I wish I can give them 0 stars.. but to the mechanic that worked on my car, thank you and to the guy upfront and the owner.. I think y’all should work on your customer service skills and learn how to communicate.

For those who read the reviews, over 15 years of having multiple cars/SUV/trucks i have always taken my vehicles to Mr. Transmission for service and I will continue to take my vehicles to (only) Mr. Transmission. I have never had any problems with Mr. Transmission. Just saying
