Not reliable, not responsible, awful, lack of response. Our Sprinter van suddenly had the battery/ alternator broken light come on, together with the seatbelt light, airbag light, the dashboard was flickering, and within the same day the front/ tail lights were broken. All of this reproducible instantly when starting to drive. Every time.6/2: brought our van here at 10am and provided all of the information.6/3 afternoon: got the phone call and talked over 1 hour. Told us some parts need to be replaced, like engine oil, filter, etc. And promised to give us the quote the next day. Also told us that he could not reproduce the issue we had but said he would try again.6/4: no response.6/7: no response. I called him in the afternoon at 14:00, no quote was ready. I had class from 4~6 so he said he would call in the next morning.6/8: Morning, no response. Whenever I called, he hung up and sent message saying With another customer right now, Ill call you back ASAP. I had not received any response until the afternoon at 2 so I drove over there. He provided the quote to me finally, including changing oil, filter, etc. The total price was about 5000.6/9: 2:24pm, sent message said parts and fasterners badly rusted on front brakes, added $225, I said OK. Few mins, said brake caliper is not repairable and add $1551, I said OK.6/10: The day we are going to pick up. 1:37, said he have to replace a fuel line that was previously damanged and not safe during fuel filter replacement, added $200 without asking. We went there and picked up our van, paid about $7,100. He said he drove 30 mins and did not see any error messages showing up. I refused to replace the fan belt which he quoted $2990. He WARNED me it might brake while driving and it might be ....... We paid and drove away, literally as soon as we left his driveway, before getting onto the highway (within 3 minutes of driving), all of the error messages showed up again. Also, left front light was broken. I called him immediately, he hung up the phone and sent message, With another customer right now, Ill call you back ASAP. Of couse, he did not call me back. Further text messages describing the problems again were just ignored. He knew that we were going to travel the next day and did not care whether the situation would damange the car. We walked out paying $7100 and the issues we brought the car to him to check and fix were not fixed at all.By the way, the belt he quoted $2990, we paid $250 to the other car shop the next day. $2990 vs $250.We really wanted this to be our shop of choice and paid forward a lot of trust. Only to be very disappointed.

I can see so clearly why Jon / Mobile Mercedes Doctor has a 5 Star Yelp review. I have nothing but positive things to say.- Knowledge - Jon is very very knowledgeable about all things Mercedes. He has been doing this a long time. Moreover, he is willing to take the time to clearly explain any issues with the car. He will rate them on a priority basis (must do versus could do versus future priority etc.) and give you a no nonsense opinion about how to proceed. He knows these cars so well!- Convenience - Jon services through both mobile visits and his shop in Mountain View. He readily offered me an appointment. Further, he offers loaners at no charge.- Patience - Jon let me take the time that I needed to make decisions. He did not rush me and was willing to explain things more than once so I had a full understanding of the situation with my car.- Service - Jon proactively did things like fill up my washer fluid and put air in my tires, even though I ended up not having the work done on my car. He communicated proactively and clearly via text and phone. Everything was on time and easy.- Prices - As I understand, Jons prices are competitive, much better than the dealer. In the end, I decided to not pursue the work on my car after he identified a costly important repair. And, shockingly, he charged me nothing for all the diagnostic work he did on my car. I was shocked. A true class act and definitely taking care of his customers. In a nutshell, I would highly recommend Jon / Mercedes Doctor. I have never written a review for a car service / mechanic before, but I felt compelled to share so that hopefully other Mercedes owners will reach out to him and the high level of service and knowledge that he provides.

I just had my MB Sprinter serviced at Mobile Mercedes Doctor in Mountain View. They are fantastic! Ask for Jon, he is great and super knowledgeable on everything that has to do with Mercedes. He explained everything the Sprinter needed to be done and he did it super quick. The Sprinter is running better than ever! I highly recommend them. They do both chassis and house repairs and maintenance.

CLA 250, about 27000 miles. Yearly maintenance. Code : A7I was looking for reliable inexpensive (not too cheap) oil change and maintenance service for my wifes car. Last year, we paid $450 for engine oil and cabin filter ( thought expensive but I wasnt sure).Last week, I swing by this shop and ask how much it would be to change the engine oil. One of workers says it will probably be around $150 but he isnt sure because he is only the worker, the owner wasnt there. I thought it was very reasonable price even to a couple of hundred.I called and made an appointment and dropped off my car. They were still out for mobile service I had to leave my car there. On the phone, I told I need an oil change service and estimate for other maintenance service if it needs.I got a phone call 2-3 hours later (thought the oil change is done). Hegave me an estimate for A7 maintenance, it costs $1960.Oil change $350, Cabin filter: $150, wiper $, brake oil $, Trans oil $ and Inspection $215.So I asked if you can do only engine oil service, he said that it costs $350+$215= $565.My wife want me to pick up the car right away.I had to pay $215.Im not trying to complain about the price and I know some people charge more. However, the $215 fee wasnt explained before brought the car there. For this kind of service, the shop should tell their customers about the fees.

Mobile Mercedes Doctor (Jon Iverson) is just not your concierge auto mechanic. He is your transportation partner, your Dali Lama of the road, your guru of go. Our family worked through two E320 Wagons over a decade plus long period and Jon and his team made it all possible. And when it was finally time to send our last vehicle to Mercedes heaven, Jon was a shoulder to cry on. If you have a Mercedes or one of the makes that the Mobile Mercedes Doctor works on, you are making a grave by not using Jon. Jon is the most practical, empathic, honest and reliable service provider you could possibly ask for. 10 out of 5 stars!
