I ordered a Nest Thermostat and Trim Kit online from this store, because it was available for same day pickup. Then I get to the store and they only have the trim, not the actual thermostat. All they said in the store was “it’s not available”, even though the website let me order it from the store.Oh well, this store is closing end of October anyway. Good riddance.

Watch out for sales people who offer you 10% off without mentioning it’s 10% off for signing up for a Best Buy credit card. Super unethical and will waste 15 mins of your time or you’ll end up with a credit card you didn’t want.

This was my first visit to Best buy in April 2021 after more than a year. It was very nice experience. They follow the Covid rules and have markings and screens in front of the cash registers. We had gone to look for appliance as Ash one of the associates in the home appliance area came and greeted us, understood our requirements and showed us the different models. We like Ash and he explains the features if the products well and answers all our questions with suggestions on best protection plans. We had spoken to him last year when we bought our dishwasher and even this time he helped us. I love the store and liked the help at the customer service desk too. It was all nicely spaced out and we were very comfortable looking at products while keeping out distance

Came to buy a universal power adaptor but was told by front desk staff to order online as it was not a stocked item. Disappointed with that, Best Buy shud at least have a few stocked supplies of UNIVERSAL POWER ADAPTORS, my opinion if course cuz I dont always like buying online, dont like waiting weeks for order arrival.

Went there to buy a car stereo receiver and they had none in stock. Then tried the one in Mountain View same situation. The global chip shortage is affecting electronics to! Not a good time for my old receiver to die..🙁

I went into the store today just to look around and see what I could purchase. Spoke with one gentlemen, did not get his name but he works in the TV area, he was great. He was able to help me look for what I was looking for. He went over and beyond to see if the store or any other stores had what I was looking for in stock. Unfortunately we could not locate what I was looking for. The issue is that when I went to check out for the other items that I had I casually ask the cashier how his day was going, he ignored me. No big deal spoke to him about the items I was getting seemed like he was not interested at all just didnt want to talk. Not really good customer service on that part but maybe he was having a bad day cant blame him for that. Before I walked out the door and said bye to the gentlemen that was sitting at the little podium in the other gentlemen that was standing next to him they just completely ignored me made me feel like I wasnt wanted there. Again maybe bad days for everyone but dude when someone who just spent $ at your store says good bye and have a good day youd think theyd respond lol. But now, I just wont come to this one. Id rather drive 10-15 minutes to go to the one on el camino.

It is really with a heavy heart that I write this review today. I have been a Best Buy loyal customer ever since I noticed the first store opened on Almaden Expressway in San Jose (over roughly 20 years ago). I can vividly recall making countless purchases at their stores over throughout the years. I remember buying food at McDonald’s, during the Monopoly game, to save enough Best Buy bucks to buy the newest Metal Gear Solid game on PlayStation 2. I also remember buying limited edition copies of The Dark Knight, which I still have to this day. Needless to say, my experiences with this company have always been pleasant regardless of the location I visited.Today though, I am beyond disappointed. In a raffle, I won a “gaming package” which consisted of a Nintendo Switch, two games, a carrying case and a gaming headset. I personally have no interest in a Nintendo Switch as I already own a PlayStation 4 which I only play on rare occasions these days. All of these items are new and unopened. I went to the Best Buy location where the items were purchased, with the gift receipt. I was not planning to return the items for cash but store credit, and would have happily spent that credit while at the store. Due to Best Buy policy; however, the items could not be returned (even for store credit) because 15 days had passed since the purchase date.As I mentioned before, I am a longtime Best Buy customer. I remember when one could return items, even opened ones, for at least 30 days. I am really unsure why the policy is the way it is. I had a receipt and the items were still sealed. The associate brought my request to the store manager who only allowed me to return the two games (for store credit). I appreciated the effort made by the manager, and he was very cordial and respectful with me. Nevertheless I was confused, why was ok for me to return the games for store credit but not the other more expensive items? I asked the manager for an explanation and he replied, “we can quickly and easily verify that the games are sealed and brand-new, but not for the other items.”Again, both the manager and associate treated me with respect, but I still left the store feeing very annoyed (especially the manager’s explanation in “meeting me halfway”)As a result I will no longer be making any future purchases at Best Buy. I was not asking for a refund, only store credit. I still do not know what is significant about the 15 day window and why my new items could not be exchanged for something else. I guess I will never know the answer to that question. A family member told me that he wouldn’t be surprised if this company closes its business. With policies like this I wouldn’t be surprised.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ON PLANT EARTH. I gave it a 1 star because its the lowest. I would recommend going any other best buy store, UNLESS you want to be discriminated against...then by all means... go here.I went there for help with my frozen phone, a phone I bought from them 5 months prior. I had called my phone carrier, went to the local store for my carrier and no one could fix it, then I ended up at where I bought it. Geek squad guy was absolutely zero positive customer service and when I asked him why the phone did this(was 3rd time) he looked at my in disgust and believe me I could see it threw his mask. I then turned to go to see a onsite manager and she treated me the same way.I told her, oh so your the same as he is, horrible customer service, bye.I dont bother with people who treat others so badly. Its not worth it to stand there going back and forth. I called corporate and let them know the employees at that store enjoy treating people as tho they are unimportant.So sad that when you need help and ask for it, you cant get it. Sad.

Staff are not helpful, service is slow, desirable products often out of stock. The only reason to come to best buy instead of amazon is usually:1. To see a product you want in person (so if a popular product is not in stock, like hue lights...or a wirecutter recommended printer...or a wirecutter recommended TV...etc you are out of luck). In my experience they are more often out of the thing I want to look at than not :(2. Lower price. But amazon usually beats them :(Especially do not buy their cables (e.g hdmi cables). Super overpriced.Also their Insignia batteries dont last. Bought a box when it was on sale, a year later half of them had no charge!

In general, I have shopped at this Best Buy and have not had any issues. However, pick up on Black Friday was a mess. At around 8:30 pm, with a relatively empty pick-up line, the pickup took over 15 minutes. I want to support Best Buy over Amazon whenever possible, but this experience makes it harder

I was expecting my pc to be ready for pick up on Wednesday, but unfortunately it was delayed and I attempted to call several times since I had some questions about my order, which each time was about 30-40 minutes waiting on a rep to pick up (never picked up). Order eventually said it was ready on Black Friday which, eventually I went in to pick it up inside vs. Curbside since they were backed up. Transaction went quite smoothly and fairly quick. Besides the phone calls, I was able to get my order within about 10 minutes and there were plenty of staff in store to assist if needed.

They have a new same day delivery service but not once has my item arrived same day. To make it worse they dont tell you it wont arrive until the local store closes. Its better to choose two day or standard shipping because at least theyre honest with the delivery times.

It is too bad that new reviews replace previous ones. This is my 15th review of this Best Buy. Coming into this location has always made me feel like I was visiting close family. I only needed a petty item. But maybe I lucked out on the timing of good staff but after what I had to deal with next door a BB and beyond these kids restored my faith in humanity. I dont know if that would of been the same with a much more serious issue but they could of kept treating poorly as they did next door and they did not. But to be honest I gave up in innovation for a while now due to the lack of integrity in the industry as a whole.

Mobile dept. rep. Sonya did a thorough job of getting me setup with my new phone. Also, the inventory telephone specialist (guy with name M...) did such a great job picking up my phone several times and answering questions. This store should be used as a training example by BestBuy to train the slackers up in BB San Bruno !

Picked up an online purchase and the staff tried selling a phone protection plan. The staff only knew the plan price for one and two years. No clue about the deductible or the number of times the device can be brought in for service. Two year plan was mentioned as $24.99 one time payment. No frills. Then came another technician and said service fee is applied during the device repair and it is a variable cost. They had no brochures and i had to blindly trust them. I insisted on a brochure. After a wait they found one. It had so many different ways we could end up paying much more than what was discussed by sales rep. Never had a great service experience with bestbuy geek plans the last five years and i was not planning to not get into another one. I prefer losing money to someone else for a change :) .

Best buy charleston rd mountain view is a mess. Games just thrown anywhere. Got the actual game from the cage up front and, the packaging was damaged. This location is a joke. The onsite leadership agreed with the games situation and instead of a solution, i was told thats just how it is. Avoid and go to another location like san carlos. They are much more organized and friendlier.

Ive always liked Best Buy and this is the location I go to most both because its close by and because its in a convenient location. The staff has always been friendly and its usually pretty easy to find somebody to help when needed. Price matching makes me feel confident that Im getting the best deal, plus I like the convenience of being able to return something easily and in person if I dont like the product or if something is wrong with it.

We asked worker to open the box to see the phone color before purchasing because only black version was present on the stand (which I already have). A very helpful staff. We wanted to buy a SIM card and we were not sure whether it was compatible with our phones (we thought they might be SIM locked as they are brought from outside the US) before buying a plan (which was the only way to activate the card). So the staff member who was showing us the products suggested to try his personal SIM card in one of our phones, although he didnt have to. It was very helpful for us.

Its tough to say much about chain stores like Best Buy, because they are all based on a corporate model with few to no variations between the various Best Buy stores in the Bay Area. Basically, this Mountain View Best Buy is in a relatively safe area and parking is plentiful. The store has a wide selection of electronics, their prices are competitive and the staff are pleasant and helpful. This store is located in the Charleston Center, which, among other places, also includes an REI store, and Bed, Bath and Beyond. Its in a convenient location where many of your shopping needs can be met. The DVD selection has been downsized as compared to the past, theres a cell phone department which often has long wait times, but its well worth shopping there owing to the wide range of electronics and home appliances.

I specifically bought a hair trimmer online so I can cut my own hair this Best Buy said they had one in stock so I bought it online came to pick it up in the guy came out with a beard trimmer that I confirm wasnt even the item number or model number that I ordered online and he said oh well thats all we have thatll work and I looked at it and it says not for cutting hair he returned it but yes kind of feels like bait and switch

I have now worked with him on purchasing and setting up a couple of phones it was a pleasure to work of someone that I didnt feel like was trying to sell me something and only had my interests at heart. The Geek Squad is a JOKE!My simple microwave oven broke down and I needed someone to fix it. Since I purchased my appliances from Best Buy, I figured I would give the Geek Squad a chance to fix it. I call and make an appointment and I have to wait over a week just to get someone to my house to look at it. The repairman says he needs to order parts and thats going to take at least a week. Then he sets up an appointment for Friday the following week to install the parts between 8:00 and 12:00 am. So I take another day off of work to be home for the fix. He doesnt show up so I call customer service. They say there is a mix up and now the appointment is on Saturday. Unfortunately, Im out of town on this day. All they say at this point is, Well Sir, there is nothing more that we can do for you at this point. I ask for a supervisor and he says sorry, the supervisor cant do anything to help you. Now, I am writing a letter to the Corporation.This is unacceptable to have to wait over three weeks just to fix a microwave. I will never use these guys again.

I like the location due to how close it is to Costco and In N Out. It has plenty of parking and easy to reach off of the freeway. The interior design is a mess which made it difficult to find what I was looking for. The employees just standing around is a little weird. The units on displays and price tags didnt really match up.

Terrible service at this location and Best Buy in general. Ordered an item online and had an issue because it wasnt the correct item. This was a gift for my birthday and contacted customer service online and they instructed me to take to the store 5o exchange. This store blamed online and a Best Buy in Chino and sent me away( Asian guy in geek squad) and told me to have customer service resolve it. I didnt purchase at that store so it does nothing for them so they cannot do anything for me. Best buy brand is not what it used to be almost bad as good guys.

Best Buy has managed to survive the online shopping age thus far, not a trivial accomplishment for and electronics/technology chain today.This store is comfortable, even if a little scattered, at least one has a chance to see various gadgets in the flesh.Dont expect a lot of expert help, but at least each time I have been here, staffing has been present to at least try.

On a cyber Monday I went there to pick up a desktop, the only available guy was not from computer department but he still agreed to help me, after checking his system he start walking all around the department looking for my desktop but no luck, Bestbuy guy did not give up & start to check the top shelves . at the end he found it & my marriage was saved, I tried to tip him but he politely refused & said that there is no need for it .Best by is my default PC shopping .Cons : I tried to do my shopping online before but it was forcing to create an account first which I tried but I got a message of not possible to create an account at this time (or something similar to that). this forced me to go physically into 2 different stores to pick up my items (ordering over the phone is not practical to me).

Great customer service. Everything is easy to find.Wide range of Apple products. So many products were on display so it is easy to choose what you are looking for. Parking is exactly in front of the store so you don’t need to carry product for a long distance. Repairing is available for any electronic item. And Geek Squad was very helpful.Location was great and you’ll find it quite a good place to shop around.
