Love getting a fresh pistachio ice cream in a waffle cone. Great ice cream and great little place to stop in on a hot summers day. Definitely worth the drive to town.

Pretty nice place. We stopped in after a day at lake James. I like that they give you durable plastic spoons to dig in.

Overall good experience but the cup for a 1 scoop is so small that it melts over the side no matter how fast you eat it. The portion of ice cream was fine just a ridiculously small container 😂

Fresh made ice cream, anyone? Scoopers is seriously a hidden gem. The selection is almost overwhelming! They offer at least 30 flavors of ice cream, an array of toppings and roughly 28 shaved ice options. Plus there are daily specials. The shaded picnic area is perfect for little ones and pups! Theres even an outdoor sink to clean up 😂. Its located on an one way street so a u-turn may be necessary. And be aware there isnt a customer restroom. But literally the ice cream is so delicious, my entire family sat in silence..... we were to busy eating lol!

This is the perfect place for a cool treat on a hot summer afternoon! Seating is all outside, at picnic tables under a big tree. We shared a coconut shaved ice with a scoop of key lime ice cream underneath!

They customized a banana split for me with coffee, vanilla, and cookie dough ice cream. It was delicious. They have picnic tables to sit at, and a hand washing sink, which was helpful.

I really wanted to like this place but I couldn’t. The shaved ice tasted like something straight from the fridge and it was one large ball of ice. My ice cream had a massive blonde hair in it. Yuck!

Well I ordered butter pecan ice cream on my brownie. An I expected to get that. But my ice cream only had one pecan in it. An they say its home made to.

Lots of flavors, the classics as well as superman and cookie monster, all delicious! Shaved ice and milkshakes, too. Choices of cones or cup. A welcome treat on any day!!

Great ice cream with great service. I did get told by a customer to try and flavor first before you buy it because its home made sometimes the flavors arent exactly what you would expect. I got cotton candy and it was delicious! I cant wait to go back and try one of their many flavors.

I got a coffee ice cream cone. It was really good! There was so much ice cream in the medium sized waffle cone. The small waffle cone is one scoop, medium is two scoops, and large is three scoops. We came here as a group and it was delicious.

Scoopers is a great ice cream spot. They have a great variety of flavors. Do know that they are a seasonal business and closed in the winter.

We Have been here multiple times since they opened and we are always greeted with a smile and AMAZING ice cream!! My boyfriend would rather have a milkshake and just recently tried their new milk shakes and he can’t stop raving about it! They also have a great variety of ice cream flavors and toppings. The price is great too! I honestly do not have one bad thing to say about y’all! Keep up the great work Scoopers! Y’all are by far the best ice cream in Morganton well Burke County for that matter!

A great place to stop on a vacation in the mountains with your grandkids to share a delicious ice cream or shaved ice cone. Nice people and friendly. Not to expensive either. Recommend it highly.

Second time I have tried this place. The first time I thought the ice cream tasted like flour. Today when I asked the person about it, I was told that, Yes some flavors have flour as a filler. This time after eating about half of my ice cream, I found a good size piece of paper in the middle. When I confronted the manager, she confirmed it was from the container. She said Oh, Im sorry and went on with her duties. No replacement or refund. So I wont be going back there again.

I got blueberry cheesecake and it was pretty good a little icy but alright. My wife got butter pecan and didnt like it at all. It kinda tasted like coffee.

Visited for the second time. First time, husband thought there was a flour-like taste to the ice cream. Staff confirmed flour is used as an extender in some flavors. This time, we encountered a wad of paper in the ice cream. Eww. Staff was nonchalant, said sorry, with no offer to replace or refund. We wont be back. Parking was adequate.

Amazing variety of ice cream flavors and shaved ice flavors with toppings galore!! There is definitely something for everyone here!! Real fruit in the I cream!! The butter pecan ice cream is outstanding!! The large shaved ices are huge!!

Me n my husband go to scoopers at least one time a week. We havent tried their shaved ice yet but their ice cream is good.

Neither flavor of ice cream that I ordered tasted very good. It seemed like the cone was a little stale.

Highly disappointed. Staff was friendly but must have been new. I ordered my icecream in a cone they gave me a bowl to catch the icecream in. The young girl said I dont think it will stay on the cone. (Its hard to stay on a cone if there isnt anything inside the cone to stick to.) Sure enough she was right first lick. The chocolate peanut butter drop was nothing but a stale peanut butter clump dipped in chocolate milk. Red velvet cake had a chalky taste. The chunky monkey wasnt what I was expecting and of course the one I had to catch to eat.
