Mike Dellinger, Hearing Instrument Specialist, was very thorough and informative during my consultation. He took time with me and explained my hearing test results. Wow! Wow! Wow! I wore hearing aids 10 years ago while living in another state. As they aged the technology did not keep up with them. I could not get them repaired and put off getting new ones for several years. Mike Dellinger fitted me with a pair the day I went in for my first appointment, and I left them in the entire day, and every day since. They are very comfortable to wear. The technology that accompanies them is very useful. Mike and his staff run a very efficient, friendly and helpful service. The facility was very clean.

Due to the pandemic, I have not seen my 94-year-old mother who resides at Grace Ridge in nearly 12 months. Also due to the Pandemic, the logistics of any medical appointment have been made exponentially more difficult due to Moms age and ability to be out. So, I had no idea what to expect when I called Jamie at Mountain Ear this morning at 10AM to tell her about Moms non-functioning, 8-year-old hearing aid. Long story short: Jamie was Wonderful! She could not have been more understanding and accommodating of Moms unique circumstances. Grace Ridge immediately drove Moms hearing aids to Jamie, and Mike was able to somehow make time to find and correct the problem. The best news of my day? Jamie called at 12:30 to report the aids were cleaned, working and Ready for Pick-up!! When I asked about payment, I was told there would be no charge. I was dumb-founded. Mountain Ear provides free cleaning and inspection for the lifetime of the hearing aids, even when they have not seen the patient for years! When this Pandemic subsides, I will be back at Mountain Ear getting Mom some newer, updated hearing aids! Thank-you Mike and Jamie for your care and concern for Mom!!

They have a convenient location, and the office is neat and clean and well equipped. I was greeted promptly on arrival, and the check in only took a few minutes. Then Mike took my wife and I back to his office and did the interview and did a great job explaining all he was going to do. Then I went into the booth for my audiogram; Mike was very thorough and professional. Then we went back to his office for an extensive discussion of the results. Overall, they did a great job!!! Very up to date, efficient, and professional.I highly recommend them and their evaluation.

Mike is running an excellent patient centered practice. He makes sure that my hearing aids are performing as they should with his preventive maintenance appointments and that the fit is maximized. Recently moved to the area from coastal Virginia, my husbands right hearing aid decided to go on the fritz. We found Mountain Ear Hearing in Morgantown, NC and gave them a call because they deal in all things Oticon. Husband was able to get in within a few days and the visit went so smooth and repairs were done right on the spot. Everyone is so personable and the office was so easy to find. I think weve found our hearing aid person!!

Called to get information on their options - left name and number - no one returned call - called again and the “lady” who answered was quite rude - told them I would take my business elsewhere!

Long story short, this place is awesome I can hear sooo much better .the sounds I havent heard in a very long time . over the years of not using hearing protection when needed damage my hearing up too 40% a big lost Mountain Ear hearing Associates did a out standing job explaining in detail my loss and the impact it had on my life .Ive had my now for a few months . I love them .I dont avoid going out any more, I can have conversations, I can hear people talking to me ( I couldnt before ) and I talked very loud and people ask me why I was yelling or talk so loud, I COULDNT HEAR . now with their help I can hear the sounds Ive couldnt in the pass. they help me fine a pair in my budget . What a great experience Ive had with Mountain Ear. Mike is so knowledgeable and educates the client in simple terms. I learned a lot and felt comfortable purchasing my hearing aids from Mountain Ear. It didnt feel like a sales pitch, but rather a teacher, student dialog. Its been two months with my Sonic hearing aids and I am real satisfied.

I was very well pleased with Mike Dillinger, Hearing Instrument Specialist. After testing my hearing, he patiently explained my hearing problem and what could be done to help me. He spent a lot of time helping me to understand. Then I was given a pair of demo aides to wear for a week or two after he programmed my specific needs on his computer. I wore them and found out how much hearing deficit I had. I purchased aides for both ears and I’m so happy I did. I started at level 1 and after a week or so went back to see him and he adjusted to a higher level. It’s a process one goes through to get exactly what is needed for an individual so the aides work according to your needs. I appreciate this system . I am 85 and have learned a lot about my new hearing aides. I also appreciate his fine staff. I now feel I am in tune with hearing what’s going on around me instead of just smiling and pretending to hear what a person said and not joining in a conversation.

I have found my experience most pleasant. Mike was very helpful in taking care of the problems I was experiencing. I am so happy with the thorough and professional help my father received from Craig Schlumbohm at Mountain-Ear, that I felt compelled to write this review. Craig, and his officer manager, Jeanne, made my father feel welcome and valued at the Mountain-Ear location in Morganton, North Carolina. Not only did Craig conduct a comprehensive analysis of my father’s hearing ability (or lack thereof), but Jeanne also set my father up with a new text phone, free of charge. My father is now able to hear as well as he did waaaaay back in the day, which has truly heightened our communication and brought joy back into my father’s life.
