Walmart is definitely not a preference though I do sometimes find it convenient.However, the Morganton, NC store has to be the most unorganized store I have been in and finding assistance is beyond possible.I do not work at Walmart and I do not appreciate that they required me to check out my entire cart full of groceries. They do provide real cashiers ONLY for less than 20 items (I would have expected the opposite). So if you foolishly waste the time to fill a cart, you are on your own fighting the scanner and entering produce codes at check out. Im pretty sure I would have preferred being a greeter at the door while a cashier handled my purchase.If this was not enough, I made the mistake of running back to Walmart the following day just to pick up printer ink. After searching for assistance and waiting patiently in the electronics department for someone to open the case....I left without it.Thank goodness for Amazon. Walmart sucks!

Not sure what to say, it is Walmart. It looks like any other one, has the same stuff as any other one. The default go to for anything you might need. I finally decided to review after a worker, Austin, helped me out on picking out a TV, was very friendly and professional, offered to help carry it out even though it wasnt necessary. Now he greets me everytime he sees me inside and makes me feel like I am visiting a friend, not that fake sincerity from most other customer service workers.

They need to get more associates that are helpful & friendly. Get more organized as well. Open more registers especially when someone comes here to shop to use WIC since we cant use self checkout.

Just park on the side to grocery, not a problem at all.

Love the convenience of groceries and shopping and Im darn good at ringing up my own items and bagging my purchase. Lol

It is much like any other Walmart you go to. Their was nothing to complain about, nor anything to brag about.

I needed help getting an item off the top shelf and the associate I asked said she did not have a walkie radio to call someone for me then she walked away. And the associate at the self check out area was not helpful and was talking loudly at me. These and other reasons are why I rather shop online.

Today Walmart wasnt as busy as usual...nice🙃 Our experience was pretty good, Hubby got 3 pairs of Wranglers jeans the only dislike was that the area was quit messy. Really had to search through the disarray. But I Love the self checkout whereas I can bag the way I like.😁

Wow all you costumers that leave bad reviews thats just dirty. The people that work in this store is not responsible for most of your complaints! Not there fault! Go to the manager and talk to corporate. Its there fault. The people that work there are just trying to do there job! I know a lot of them when They are good people. Best walmart I ever shopped in.

It was probably better for shopping, but I needed to cash a check quickly and they were extremely nice and professional, but due to the amount, against policy.

Got there Sunday around 6pm. Lots of empty shelves, looking for canning jars (which is in high demand), vitamin (not able to find cinnamon tablets, Apple cider gummies). Dog food, could not find large boxes of moist and chewy, had to get smaller box, cost more. Check out was rated 3 1/2. Had to have help to my car, stock person very prompt and friendly.

Great store all around very clean an modern. Lacking in the toy department an paint department or would have been 5 stars

Literally the only Walmart in NC Ive ever been to where they stop you at the door after paying & force you to show your receipt before you walk out.Might seem like just a minor inconvenience to some, but for those of us who value our time, we shouldnt have to wait through another line after already waiting through a whats usually a slow moving line to pay.

Its walmart. Store is arranged nicely. Can find most everything you need there.

All the employees are awesome & friendly, but out of all the Walmart s Ive been to in my life this one is the least stocked store. Its chronic. Most Walmart are well stocked. When you go to Walmart you expect to get what your going for. It should not be out of stock :) ever

I paged for someone to come to open the lock for dogs& cats flea treatments several times. I waited for 15 minutes and I even had to make a phone call. She said she tried to page somebody. Still, no one came. Wow! What wonderful hard-working customer service!Impressive, not! Walmarts in Marion, Granite Falls, and Hickory run much better service than in this town. I have seen some employees avoiding work and walking around. 🙄

A little friendly..more than the typical Walmarts I go into. I actually had a Walmart employee say excuse me!! 4 outta 5.. Im feeling generous though.

I dont spend my money at this place anymore. The start of the pandemic brought Walmart into new light for me. I must be naive because I never realized that most everything there comes from China,even the food. They profited Alot from the Corona virus & wouldnt take care of their employees & requests for them to stop importing from China because everyone was afraid, they said we ha e no plans of doing that.I decided not to go back.

Only having one cashier open, with a massive line to check out. The only way to make it faster was to use a card at a self check out, BY FAR the the worst way to set up for a busy day. Secondly being out of a great amount of the walmart brand products was ridiculous, if your not going to have cashiers then your freaking shelves should at least have your product on them

Manager that was on duty on the 29th of september at 10 pm was too lazy to do their job. There were several customers in the back at electronics needing to buy items and the manager wouldnt come back with the keys to unlock the items so people could get their items. Appearently the manager just doesnt have anyone stationed there for an entire hour and wont even go back to help their customers. Great job

For our area this walmart is much nicer and cleaner then Lenoir, Hickory, or Granite Falls. They have much more variety also.

Today it was clean and had new stuff to peak your interest and clearance item rack was full. Go see if theres something you like thats just your size! Bananas looked just right. 😋 Got my boys a twin mattress in a box, new pillows, and fitted sheets. Hope its great! Customer service was very friendly. Enjoy! 😘😁

The place is always clean, the staff are always nice and respectful. Ive never had any sort of issue from this Walmart and you can tell they do their absolute best to keep everything clean and organized.

Not going to give it a bad rating because its always clean, and so are the restrooms. The people who work groceries pickup are rude. But overall its a nice Walmart

Shelves were being emptied out, people had cases of drinks and canned food in buggy. I went by the toys and they were getting low.

Its Walmart. Not exceptional. Not bad. Lack of stock on shelves. Lots of customers without masks. Its Walmart. Par for the course.

Its a Wal-Mart. They seem to be harder to do business with everyday. The one good thing is that they now do accept cash on some registers.

Their pickup services are second to none... i need because of the pandemic.Love the app allowing you to find items in the store... self checkout, etc.Very friendly staff working this detail.

If you prefer to pay with cash give yourself an extra 30-45 minutes inside this walmart. Unless your paying with a card expect to be standing in a line for about 15 minutes.

Was extremely happy for this Walmart to be built as Morganton didn’t have a close Super center. Fast forward several years later you would think it was going out of business. Shelves remain bare for months in numerous sections. Save time and just shop online.

They got the order right, staff was friendly and very helpful. Pick up my order quickly and was on my way. They work as a well oiled machine. Very professional and good attitude so early in the morning.

The pharmacist is always pleasant and she bends over backwards to help! I was there on Sunday, August 8th, around 11:30 am.

Every time I go online to look up a product, even on Walmarts own app, the price is never the same when I get to the store. The employees are rude, have very little work ethic, and this behavior is seemingly acceptable to management. I wanted to purchase something off a shelf but it was blocked by a stockers cart. They had the same thing on the cart I needed from the shelf. I politely asked if I could just get one off the cart and, rudely, I was told to wait and get one off of the shelf. I bought an expensive electronic from Walmart, brought it home, only to find out it was broken when I got home. I was treated with the upmost suspicion when I returned it. I was only looking to trade it for a working product. I absolutely despise dealing with these employees. Food Lion may be a bit more expensive, but I would rather pay another 10-15 dollars on my grocery bill every week and have good customer service than deal with the bs at this store.

No complaints. Friendly staff. Well stocked. What more could you ask for from a Walmart 🤷

Its ok its always packed full ppl I dont like being around a really big crowd but i got there mostly because of the wife and out children

Had headache, so I dont really want to say anything about it right away. But it was hard to find my size or style of clothing. And Im a popular size. Maybe try again tomorrow without headache

Pharmacy in this store needs help telling me that the insurance was not there on my prescription and that they needed my insurance information when my insurance information was on file because I had a prescription just the week before from there it made absolutely no sense to me I do not recommend that pharmacy to anybody for the way they did

Clean. Convenient. Some items were low on stock. Virtually no mens shorts or shirts in stock.

Shelves were empty. Only 4 cashiers. Lots of self check out but I will not use them if I have a lot. Guy stood at end of check out with arms closed and me in a wheel chair. He didnt offer to help

One of the better super Walmarts, tis clean. All of the self-checkouts have been running each of the 10 times Ive been there. Ive gotten help from staff on about three occasions, and all of them were helpful. The store is not a perfect five, but its in the upper 4s

Store is always clean and staff are always available to help or get someone who can help if they aren’t sure of the answer. Lines move quick. ** Recently (due to COVID restrictions being upped once again) I have seen MANY greeters finally stopping those entering without masks on and offering a free one to them if needed. Since there currently is a NC mandate to do so I do commend the staff for that as well as staying diligent on the disinfectant use on carts etc. Favorite Walmart by far to visit.

NOISY! LOUD SPEAKER IN PARKING LOT BLASTING MUSIC THAT CAN BE HEARD ALL OVER THE SHOPPING CENTER EVEN IN FRONT OF TJ MAXX! Why is this music necessary??!! ALSO LOUD BELL chiming constantly in cosmetics. Rarely more than 1-2 check out lanes open. Customers have to always check out themselves!

Good selection of everything you need for a halfway decent price but everything is locked up and you cant even see what your buying. You also have to stand around for 30 minutes in order to find anyone working in that area to come back to their area whwre you can even ask to get something unlocked. I was looking for a waterproof speaker for my kayak but literally everything from $20 up to $200 was locked away. If they are that worried about people walking out of their store stealing it why do they sell it?

They have what you need most of the time and most of the staff is nice. Only downfall is they dont have enough cashiers for the people that dont know or that dont like to use the self checkout when they get really busy.

I stood at the tool case waiting for about 45 min before walking out and going to lowes. Also right afterwords i sent my wife to get something and she waited for someone for an hour but they did come then. Id recommend going to another walmart or somewhere else than Morganton.

The staff for the most part are friendly. They have a nice selection at the deli and bakery. The store overall is pretty clean.

Out of stock all the time. Some employees seem to be put out if you ask them to check. I know in a pandemic things are not organized, and stocked as normal. Store is clean, and up to date on new lines. Wish the associates got 20.00 per hour for all the extra hard work they do. Facts are facts they do deserve it. The stocking and pricing is not up to employees, thats why I understand their frustration.

Its the only place to go ( because its literally the only department store left since Kmart closed). I do like it though. I would give it 5 stars if it werent for the insane hell of a parking lot that must have been designed by a team of children with A.D.D.

This Walmart keeps its inventory up better than 90% of the others within 100 miles only down side is that it has no price scanners mounted in the store so you have to try to catch an employee which is easier said than done.

Was there last week there were 6 to 8 people in line at the checkout . three employees standing around in front talking ... employee told me there were 6 selfcheck outs open ..i told her there were 10 regular checkouts closed to go open one ..i do not work for walmart i will not check myself out .unless they want to give me a 10 % discount ..

This Walmart is very organized compared to surrounding areas. I went to purchase a bottle of honey and very surprised by their selection. I also purchased 20lbs of pasta for .25¢ a pound. Walmart does have deals worth going. SUNDAYS are the best day to go to Walmart without the heavy crowd.

Do an online grocery order and reserved my time of 3:00-4:00PM yesterday. I never got my notification tell me my order was ready. So, I went over and parked in the pick up area. Ask associates about my order but nobody could tell me anything!!!! But they sure didnt have a hard time taking my money for the order!!!!! I had to sit in my car with it running for over 45mins to get any help!!!!!! Then when I tried to call the management I got no answer to all of my calls!!!!! Not very professional!!!!
