Everything you expect in a farm store and more. You can wander around and find something to buy in every department. The service was slow because of staff shortages. This problem is not unique to this store. It took nearly an hour to pick up my special order item.

Good prices and selection of goods. Parking lot is a little tight in spacing. Their online order and pick up isnt very efficient. It is probably quicker to go in and shop for yourself. We get our feed here and have gotten pool supplies and bird food.

It was ok. The lighting could have been brighter. However the store has a ton of items to purchase with fantastic deals.

Every rural need you have, they can fill it and for a good price. Also, best popcorn. Buy one of the big bags of Rural King popcorn for less than $3, you wont regret it.Only downside, often shorthanded and youll be lucky if the big bags of popcorn arent sold out because theyre always fresh and always selling out.If theres only one bag when you get there, you better buy it.

Love the popcorn and rock & rye faygo sodas. .. my grandparents used to buy us this soda in Michigan only place i have ever been able to find it in Morganton.

Definitely one of the best stores in Morganton.Rural King is the one stop shop for everything I need.If you havent been there you should definitely stop in they have something for everyone

We always go here to get our Carhart clothes and to buy my husband new work pants. Also toys for our pittbull thatll actually hold up. The kids love to see the chicks and bunnies when they have em. Popcorn and coffee station when you go in. Self serve.

The staff is always kind and helps when needed and I almost always find what I go looking for at a good price.

Our second tractor purchase from Rural King. Joe, the tractor rep, is one of the nicest & most knowledgeable person around these tractors. He is very nice, prompt, reliable, & can answer any questions about the tractors & equipment. He will also introduce you to the mechanic, Steve, after purchase, who is also very knowledgeable about the tractors & shows you all the mechanical ins & outs of your tractor. Dont hesitate to buy a Rural King tractor, they are outstanding, along with great customer service, just go see Joe in Morganton, NC!

Enjoyed browsing through the store. The chicks were so so cute!!! And a nice variety too. Found several bird feeders that I couldnt find at Walmart, I found here. 👍Nice experience! Quick and friendly cashier, we will be back again.

Great place to go shopping. Inexpensive blue jeans that fit well. Boots for all weather. Great people working there. DeWalt and Milwaukee tools that I needed for work. Just a great place to go.

Great place nice people better than Tractor Supply

Most prices are amazing and low. Most employees dont know what they are doing and never have answers to anything.

It never fails. Everytime I go to Rural King in Morganton I save money. I Love looking at the tools. Theres always a good sale somewhere in the store that just stops you dead in your tracks. You know. That one thing that youve been wanting and now its so cheap you just cant not buy it. Theres always someone close by to help you if you have questions or cant find something. Stop in at Rural King and see what you can find. Dont just take my word for it. But I already know youll love it.

I stopped here once when I was passing threw. man we need one in albermarle or concord way better than tractor supply. I want to buy a rk tractor but man its a drive from mt.pleasant

Bought shots for puppy - good price. They have lots of chicks at decent prices. Got a great deal last year on a hundred fence (T) posts and 5 for 10 Cypress Mulch deals are great. Also, best cracked corn (chickens feed) price if you are in their area - and it is ground to a nice size (not too big and not too small - just right the hen said).

Always something there for everyone. We take the time to go there for our camping and pet supplies and will walk out with a buggy full. Love this store!

This place has it all! Guns, tools, garden supplies, everything. Love coming here. There is something for everybody here. I highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to come back.

Great store but management is really messing up. The busiest part of that store is the gun section. I have personally walked in waited a while and left and went to buy from my back up store. I know this store lost 3 gun sales in the last 6 months because of this.

This store has everything. From free coffee and popcorn to baby chicks for the farm. A really good selection of boots and jeans. If you cant find what your looking for just ask one of the helpful staff members and they will show you where it is Prices seem reasonable

On weekends people bring farm animals to sell, awesome to see them all out there.

I could go broke in this store they carry everything you need or want for the house and farm. Plus the great selection of food and pet care stuff. As well as the great work clothing for men and women. All in all its a great store and the folks working there are awesome and knowledgeable.

This is the actual worst store. It is the dollar general of outdoor stores. There are never enough lanes open and the line will have 15 people in it regularly. Every shopping cart has a busted wheel, the credit card machine never works and they end up having me run my card several times and then have to manually enter it. It takes 10 minutes to check each person out. I have come and left a shopping cart full of stuff after waiting an hour in line with still people ahead of me. No staff knows where anything is, what they even have at the store, or if or when something will be in stock. I called for 3 weeks waiting for a utv sprayer to come in and each time I called they werent in stock but should come in on any truck. Finally one guy looked into it and come to find out the warehouse is out of stock so who knows when more will come. One guy even told me they dont make a 50 gallon sprayer for a utv because it would weigh 3500 pounds and it would be impossible to use that on a UTV. What?! 50 gallons is less than 500 pounds and I had to tell him where in the store to go to look where the item would be if it were stocked. The place is mismanaged and a disaster. I do not recommend.

Better than harbor freight. Why does Asheville not have one. So many great things and deals.

They have some great selections here, but the issue I had was being asked by multiple people if I needed help even when they were standing right beside of the people whod asked me and being stalked by their staff was a bit annoying. Im sorry Im a 66 male with long hair it doesnt mean I came to your place to steal considering your prices are cheap enough.

Lilly goats favorite store. She loves the free pop corn and all the attention she gets. I personally cant leave with out my microwave pork rinds.

Traveled 15 miles one way because showed product I wanted was available. Also called to verify but phone never answered. Got there and product out of season. Talked to MOD. No apologies. No offering discount on next purchase. Nothing. Wasted trip and time.

This is a hardware store WalMart sized. As a matter of fact the building was an old WMart. They have a lot for the citizen farmer from clothes to plows. A few live livestock and everything that I was looking for this week.

Place is the best for all farm and household needs. Simply cant be beat. Keep it up!!

Nobody ever answers the phone! I like to check and see what types of chicks they have but they never answer. I have tried multiple times different occasions with the same result. I even tried calling the gun section to see if they could transfer me to the right spot but they transferred the call and I waited 15 minutes but after no answer I gave up. They have interesting items at decent prices but customer service is highly lacking in the phone department.

Store was very messy and unorganized. Customer service was absolutely no help with ordering a large supply of an item I needed.

Products and feed are the cheapest in town. Good quality. But the service is always terrible

Cant beat the prices. A lot cheaper than other farm stores. More to choose from. Just wish one was in South Carolina but the 2hr drive is worth it for the cheaper prices.

I called Rural King about a Lawnmower for my Dad!!! A young Guy answered Named Cody Dale!’ He was so nice and helpful and knew his job well .Now days most people won’t even work ! I give Credit where Credit is due!! His a keeper . Sue Winebarger

1st time going there been wanting to finally got to bought some motor oil to change in my vehicles and mowers. I dont use synthetic just conventional getting hard to find or places just dont order it. Auto part places charge about $10.00 more for the same thing. Cant see myself doing that. Ridiculous !! But R K some of about anything. Will go back.

My only complaint is several items on shelves have no price on them, or the shelf. When trying to get an associate to get a price, it would be very beneficial for them to have a scanner to scan barcode, instead of having to call another associate in the store. I appreciate a lot of items being made in the USA, unlike their competitors.Not sure why the aisles are always piled with pallets of stock, not shelved yet, unless their understaffed.I appreciate Rural King and the amount and variety of merchandise.

Love Love LOVE its a Christian store. They have all kinds of things from guns to baby chicks to clothes to bulk size coffee. Didnt get to spend too long in there shopping because we got there close to closing time.

I found all the items I was looking for at Rural King. Prices were reasonable. I would have given 5 stars but customer service in the store was average to below average.

I found the tractor parts I needed easily a d the ammo supply is starting to come back. The pet and livestock supplies have been steady throughout the COVID crisis.

Cant even buy a gun during full business hours!!

Visited Morganton NC store 8/20/21. Store was dark, dirty. Shelves were empty. Pallets of merchandise were blocking the aisles. Twice we had to dodge an employee who was using her cellphone apparently unaware of customers shopping in the store. Very disappointed.

Typical Big box store with typical Big box store customer service.. you will stand there looking for someone in a department for quite some time and when they do show up they act irritated

I had gone in to purchase one item, mocha coffee in the small bottles, but they were out. I saw the stock person and asked him if he knew when they would be back in stock. He said that the trucks were hit and miss, but the shelf that had the mocha coffee had been empty for sometime. Disappointed.

This place should be closed down and revamped..an employee tried picking a fight with my brother and I after asking the price of a recliner because finding the price wasnt his job..i am a senior citizen with a heart condition and this younger man took attitude and asked if I (wanted to throw down) out in the parking lot...we put our potential pitches down and left the store....terrible employees..

Love this store drive 20 miles t I get 150 t post and on them alone we saved over a dollar a piece.

Cool place, a lot of items. Always a looong line at checkout. No matter what time I go there Id always only 1 or 2 lines open with 5 or more people waiting in them.

Awesome store! Everything for the professional Farmer or the backyard hobbyist. We drive from Huntersville past several competitors to Morganton to get the selection and prices. Wish theyd open a Rural King down in our area!

Its like a small WalMart mixed with tractor supply with guns and ammo lol... Nice selection of ammo and guns plus everything else that you would expect. Lots of parking and they had animals for sale in the parking lot on Sunday as in a local farmers market type thing with goats, chickens, turkeys, ducks, etc.

Good place to get all of your rural things and more but probably needs twice the space and twice the help.

DO NOT PURCHASE FIREARMS AT RURAL KING! Rural King has literally the “worst” IT systems for purchasing a firearm of any retailer in America. They have to go to like 10 different systems and no exaggeration the process is like 45 mins+. I have purchased countless firearms from every retailer out there EXCEPT for Rural King. Well yesterday was my FIRST and LAST purchase from them. The CEO and management of Rural King should go benchmark their process versus every other retailer and they’ll see in about 2 seconds what I’m talking about.

Good prices but staff is never too friendly. I generally get employees that just love to let the obscene language fly. Wish I had a better alternative to shop at. Given the opportunity I usually go elsewhere if I can.

Never been here before so this is based on one visit. Oh my God! This place has everything you could want. From socks to live chickens; popcorn to trailer fenders. I used to think Walmart had everything.....NOPE! Just go check it out! Youll buy something, I promise.
