I waited a few months before writing this review. I called A-Better to get a quote for a new system. Mark promptly came out and gave a price on a unit that was more efficient and lower in price than other quotes from Carrier dealers. Also, they had it in stock so there was no waiting period for install. During his visit, I had a surging power dip and he suggested a protector since this is what killed my 18yo condenser. Hayden and Kelly came out to do the install. Professional, friendly and very knowledgeable installers. Granted, the install took most of the day, but it was due to the power supply not up to code and this being a down-flow unit installed in a tight closet. Before it was over, 2 more installers showed up after their assignments to help finish the job. Even Mark came by to see the progress of installation later in the day. Also, they did not charge extra for additional wiring and a disconnect to bring the power supply up to code. I paid exactly what they quoted. Bottom line, I wont use anybody else for my maintenance or new equipment needs as A-Better has shown me what a highly competent company they are!

We had A-Better install a new Heat and Air system. Mark Lee was prompt with his estimate and answered all my questions. He discovered during inspection we did not have adequate return air. During the install of new unit they installed an addition return and did an excellent job. The install team was polite and detailed in their work. . I would use A-Better again!!

I would not recommend using this company, the service tech was VERY rude and spoke to me as if I was below him and I can only come to the reason is that I am a woman. When I called the office to complain about the tech the receptionist apologized and was very friendly she offered to reschedule and when I asked for another tech she informed me that he is their only one. I feel customer service is something this man lacks and could care less about his job which is very unfortunate for this business.

I will definitely use A-Better Heat and Air Conditioning again! They performed their service with professionalism and in a timely manner. I’d say they are a great value and let me know every step of the way what they were doing and why they were doing it.

They installed my system a little over a year ago and when the capacitor when out just out of warranty, they took care of my problem, a month later the same thing happened on my second unit and they took care of the parts, that time too, you won’t regret the service and quickness at with A better will take care of whatever your needs, Thanks Carl

Oh boy! If you are looking for professional heat and air folks that will treat you right look no further than A-Better Heat and Air. During a demo for a new shower the contractor discovered that my dryer vent had been run under my old bathtub and had broken a while ago. Needless to say the dryer tube couldn’t couldn’t stay where it was and it had to get fixed fast or my shower install would have to be delayed. I called just about everyone in the OKC area and everyone was booked solid except for A-Better who said they could come out between 1-3pm. At 1:15 Todd and Jaime showed up at my house and the next 3 hours were just awesome! We looked at three different ways to run the dryer vent up into the attic and out and eventually settled on the easiest for all of us. Not only did they do a professional job, they even went above and beyond to use some of their materials to seal off the holes where the old dryer vent had gone through both my walls. They were friendly, consulted with me on everything and assured me they could get it done. If you ever need a company when you are in a bind you won’t find better than A-better.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. she doesnt know how to talk to customers. Lady answering the phone had no clue what a geothermal system is and how it works eventhough this company provided service. Very condescending and rude. Why do you have someone answering the phone who doesnt know ABC or who doesnt know anything about the equipment you claim to service?

We had Tim Ludwig at our house today (08/16/2019) to replace the fan on our air conditioner outside unit. Tim did a super job!! He thoroughly knows the A/C and Heating trade. I highly recommend Tim Ludwig to anyone needing A/C or Heating repairs or a new unit.

I called A-Better after my elderly mother-in-law had called another service company. Tim came out and diagnosed the problem as much LESS severe and expensive than the first company. He showed back up with the parts when he said he would and completed the work very efficiently. Based on this and prior experience,I highly recommend A-Better.

This is a very professional company, the technician did a great job educating me on the issue, and how to keep up on maintenance. He also brought his own shoe covers so he wouldnt be walking around our house in his work boots. I highly recommend a-better to anyone who needs their unit serviced!

They came out the day I called. Keep in mind this was in the middle of July. They were sympathetic to my moms age which is 85. Ive used them for years as a builder and for service. The tech was polite and professional the price was excellent and my mom was cool within 5 hours of my initial call. Love them and highly recommend them. I would give them 10 stars if possible.

Had been noticing my furnace burner flames were yellow. Called a couple of HVAC companies who all told me variations of the same story - heat exchanger was cracked and would be leaking carbon monoxide into the house. Need a new furnace. A Better Heat & Air came by and told me that the issue was the ports were corroded and clogged. Propane coupled with a damp crawl space will do that. Rather than sell me a new furnace, he sold me a replacement burner assembly. He also purchased the parts on my promise to have him install them. He came out today and did the upgrade quickly and on time. Will be using this company from now on.

I had been told I had a crack in my hear exchanger. The tech did a very thorough inspection, cleaned out, and finally determined there was not a crack. This likely saved me considerable money. A great experience !!!

I had called in to discuss ways to mitigate dust in the house. The front office gave me a suggestion about a Reme-Halo for air quality. Mark the owner took the time to call back and explain what it did and the benefits as well as a whole house humidifier versus just a single room. Its only been a few hours since the install and can for sure tell the effects of the humidifier. Was told it might take a day before it shuts off and then only has to maintain. Items to consider is to have a power outlet and cold water source available for the humidifierFor the air purifier still waiting on that to see if there is a difference.The technicians that did the install were very professional and did very well explaining the features and how things are supposed to work.

Tim came out to inspect our AC unit, which is no longer blowing cold air. He was honest and show us what was the problem. After ordering the part, he and his co-worker Al came out in the morning and replaced the unit within 3 and half hour.

This company came highly recommended by a contract friend of mine for a new construction project and I was not disappointed. Their guy, Mark Lee, was extremely professional and has stood behind their work from start to finish. I would use them again without hesitation.

Tim came out to check why our master bedroom was warmer than the rest of the house. He checked the flow in every room, looked in the attic for duct problems, checked the freon in the out side unit, rebalanced all the vents.He then decided that the vent in master closet was undersized as the builder installed security camera and dvd recorder in closet that was heating closet and masterbedroom. Solution, larger vent in closet. Tim is very knowledgeable, experienced, and polite. Would absolutely use them again!

Im giving a 3 because of the lady on the phone that takes the calls. When I called asking about the spring tune-up I paid for she said springs over, we sent you a reminder card. I told her I did not receive one and scheduled the service. I was called and said they would be there between 0800-0830 Friday. Friday at 0900 my wife called and the guy said someone would be out....could not give a time. Finally at 1300 they called and said someone was on their way. I asked her about not coming this morning and she said I dont know who told you that, we never give a time. Ive had nothing but good things to say about this company and their work.....but the lady on the phone needs to find a new job that doesnt make her so nasty to the customers. Its going to ruin this good business. I would be more than happy to discuss this with anyone at A-better that would like more information.

We just spent almost $5K to update parts on 2 a/c units. Tonight one of the units stopped working. We called for an after hour technician for a repair. But he called and said he’d had a long week, a sinus headache and “probably couldn’t fix it tonight anyway”. Totally not acceptable.

Installed our geothermal system 6-7 years ago...best investment we have ever made. These guys were very professional and all follow up calls have been fixed quickly with no up charges.

We have used A Better for over 20 years- The owners and the employees are the best- they have never let us done and always are there for emergencies- We use them for our homes and properties we rent out- They are more than fair on pricing you we never have to call them back, they fix things right the first time!

Company was called out for an emergency service call. Tech looked at the outside unit and informed me that it appeared to be low on Freon and that he would also have to look at the inside unit. Approximately 20 minutes later the tech knocks on my door saying that he found the problem and handed me a bill for $400.00. The next day the unit was still not working so we called the company back and they finally showed back up with another tech and informed us that the coil had a leak and that it would be $3,000.00 to correct the problem. After noticing myself that the coil had not been unsealed for an appropriate examination I called another reputable HVAC firm out and they found that the coil had no leak and the fan switch was bad and they also had to replace the liquid line drier. Since then we have experienced no other problems and our unit has worked fine. Buyer Beware of A Better Heating & Air Conditioning of Moore, Oklahoma. They are definitely not Honest.
