Ill probably add a star in the future because overall I havent had a poor experience here, however Im writing this for a particular pharm tech to read so she has a better understanding for the future that behind these prescriptions are people...actual human beings. And I truly could care less if it was 7:55 pm, youre clocking out in five minutes, got your coat on and are ready to shut her down. Your cant-do attitude really affects others ESPECIALLY when it comes to a life threatening, chronic diseases and they are scrambling for supplies. Remember where you work and dont mess with a Mama bear.I do however appreciate the fact that this incident was remedied rather quickly, which is why Ill probably add a star or two down the road. But again, this is a reminder that there are people behind these prescriptions. Its not just a pay check unfortunately and if you cant act accordingly - find another job.
My sister and I just went to get our vaccines. We both have a fear of shots. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude. I understand if they were busy but there is no need to be so unwelcoming. Not only was the front desk lady rude but then the pharmacist who gave us the shot was extremely rude and cold and said nothing. Being nervous and then having someone not treat their customers with care. Don’t recommend coming to this pharmacy for any of your needs.
The service was fast and on time coz the store was not busy. I went to print an image at 11.20 am on July 11, and the guy who helped me was somewhat rude with no trace of smile on face. He did not react when I thanked him from my heart. It does not affect me at all as I am a compassionate nurse and practice tolerance. It may not be the sane to all customers.
01-08-2021 - noon. This 5 star rating is for DAMON only. I give a 1 star for voice machine that answers the phone - very time consuming and a waste of my time. Makes me want to hang up and call another store that doesnt have a recorder go on and on and on. Really? And, I give a 1 star to the lady (I wont mention her name) who answered the phone and put me on hold without asking me if I could hold or not. She just clunked down the phone and music came on. Very rude and uncaring. I called back and got Damon on the phone and he was great and provided me quality customer service. Thank you Damon for being so helpful, fast, nice, and caring. (I asked for the spelling of his name to get it right for this feed back.) You are a 5 star worker, Damon. Thank you.
Everyone working here is very polite and helpful. Pharmacy technicians are all wonderful people.
The woman in the makeup department is wonderful, very knowledgeable about the beauty products. Answered all my questions professionally and knew her inventory. Highly recommend going there for your makeup needs. Thank you Laura
Location must be going out of business, their freezers are broken their pos system doesnt take credit cards most of the time. Dr. Office called in a prescription and 2 hours later the hadnt even checked their voicemail. Worst store I have ever been to avoid at all costs.
Poor, slow, and rude are all the consistency you will get from the pharmacy. The promised pick up time is never honored bcuz they are always behind. They are rude on the phone and worse in person. After 3 years of this same poor service theyve proven that they dont care enough to be better bcuz there will always be sick people to be miserable to. The 1 star is bcuz Im nicer than they are.
Tried to set up a vaccine appointment and it said I was not eligible to get it. In store couldn’t do anything.
Im 400 miles from home and my daughter got sick and needed an antibiotic. Their pharmacy only had small bottles not big bottles of the liquid so my insurance would only pay for half (sounds odd to me...) Instead of telling me this they said NOTHING about giving me only 2.5 days worth of the medicine she needs. To top that off for the other 2.5 days of medicine is only $31. I would have gladly bought what my daughter needed if Id have been informed.
I had a prescription for medication called in on 8/31, which the people in the pharmacy at Walgreens here in Montrose never got done, because they insisted that I pay $120 for a brand named product, which I repeatedly told them I wanted the generic variant for, at $35 dollars. During a 7-day period, a period in which I was in pain and suffering (a condition I needed this medication for) I called the doctor 3 times, called my insurance companys pharmacy specialists 2 times, and went to this Walgreens 3 times. Each time I went to there an overworked and frustrated-looking pharmacist tried to sell me the brand name drug, despite all my efforts to obtain the generic alternate. Finally, on the last visit, when I was forced to be unpleasant to the pharmacist, he transferred my prescription to a different pharmacy, who filled it with the generic variant the next day at $35, no problem. Walgreens had filled this same prescription before, and I never did get a clear answer as to why they refused to fill it again, instead insisting on trying to sell me something at 3 times the cost. I know this is a giant, multi-national retailer and that I dont matter being just one person, but theyve lost my business, and I wanted to post this experience for others to read. There are other pharmacies in small towns like this, one doesnt have to use Walgreens, especially if they have policies requiring their people to fill prescriptions for brand name drugs, when generic variants are available, so they can pad their balance sheet with extra profits. Shameful.

The pharmacist “decided not to fill my prescription” after I was told that an in-state transfer would be no problem and drove almost two hours to get there. Beyond ridiculous.

Having worked in a pharmacy for years, I understand the demands and frustration of patients. However, the incompetency of not only the pharmacist but the pharm techs at this establishment is completely unreal. Do not waste your time!!!
