We stopped in on the way down to telluride! Wanted some snacks and saw this jerky stand! Lemme tell you how excited we got! Ray was very nice and his staff was wonderful! Great flavors and definitely will be having them ship to Denver! Highly recommend!!

His jerky is amazing and well worth every penny. Not too salty and the flavors are spot on. But Ray himself is a great as well and hes passionate about the area. One of the best spots!

Stopped in on a long road trip for some much needed snacks. Rays Jerky is fantastic and Ray even better; stuck around for nearly an hour talking about Jerky and Colorado. Wonderful guy, with exceptional products. My travelling companion and I are over the moon over our samplings. Rays BBQ and Peppercorn Jerkies are especially good.

Let me tell you about Ray. Not only is his jerky second-to-none, hes also a stand-up man. My wife and I stopped by his Montrose store a month ago and purchased some delicious jerky. I was impressed by his demeanor and how he treated his customers. I recently ordered a package for my dad who lives in Kentucky. When I placed the order I emailed Ray and asked if he could wish my dad a happy birthday (70th!) and say an encouraging word or two in his package. My dad is a Vietnam Vet and has had multiple surgeries the last couple years while battling cancer. Ray took the time to write a beautiful note to my father...and it really meant a lot to my dad. Thanks Ray! Youre da man!!! Delicious jerky and an honorable human being! Thanks again.

Yum! Got a few interesting types of Jerry. Suprisingly the turkey (cherry smoked maybe?) was my favorite. Not dry at all and had great flavor. Bison Jerry was delicious as well.

This is a cool place and the Jerky is truly Good StuffDont miss out. If youre a local, take advantage and visit often. If youre visiting or passing through make sure you stop. It will be worth your time!

This place has some of the best jerky. Favorites include the teriyaki and peppered beef.

Ray has great quality jerky and is an amazing guy! Theres a good variety of flavors, but I was especially impressed with the BBQ and Jalapeño flavors. I loved that the Jalapeño also had the taste of the pepper and not just the kick.

We got the Buffalo jerky along with a bunch of other flavors like black pepper jalapeno and teriyaki and it was about 8 dollars a pack and they were delicious.

As someone who is a very picky eater and has teeth that hurt when eating the usual name brand jerky, I would recommend this to EVERYONE. Its the only beef jerky Ive found that is tender enough for me to nibble on and not have my mouth hurt afterwards, and the mild flavor is the perfect level - not too hot but just enough to get my mouth to water. My boyfriend is the adventurous one that will eat every flavor they have and is in love with all of them. I will not buy any other brand but Rays for my jerky for as long as they are in business. Stopped by the store in Ouray while on vacation. Loved the Jerky so much that I bought some when I got back - online. Bought $100 worth! He was a super nice guy to my family also. Perfect texture, not too soft, not too chewy....even the Pure Pain has good flavor before the heat kicks in. I would say the Jalapeno and the Black Pepper are best.

Went on a vacation to Montrose Co. stopped at Rays Jerky. My husband loves jerky I do not. Omg did I not fall in love with jerky!! Lmao! It is so good! We actually talked with Ray and got several samples. Jalapeño and desert hot are the absolute best jerky I have ever had! I am sure my husband and I finished what we bought before going back to our cabin. I recently ordered 4 bags and man does it take me back to our vacation and also, Eating the best jerky I have ever had in my life!!! Hands down!!! So tender, flavorful, and absolutely the best jerky you will ever have!! Even if you do not like jerky you will fall in love with this!!! We got our package yesterday and 3 out of 4 are gone. Raise jerky is the best jerky in any of the Rocky mountains let alone the whole state of Colorado. You will not find any more tender juicy flavored jerky anywhere. If you are anywhere near Montrose or your Ray its a must stop shop. Ray is a great guy and fun and enjoyable to talk to. There are not many local shops like this where you get a HomeTown feeling with home style meat and a HomeTown greeting this is a must stop shop if youre anywhere near.i guarantee you find a flavor you enjoy and will be back .

My nephew told me about Rays Good Stuff knowing how much I like beef jerky. I asked him to get me a few bags and I have to say that Im thoroughly impressed. Its got great texture, incredible flavor (but not overpowering) and I love the chunky cuts. This is the best jerky Ive had in a long time. Kudos to Rays Good Stuff!

Just came through the Ouray store the other day! Cool shop and cool folks. I recommend the desert hot seasoning. It won’t set you on fire and the taste is great

Wonderfully friendly with tons of local knowledge, deals, and oddities. I loved talking to Rays son and employees; easily could see them as life-long friends if I were a local. Anyways, I almost swooned and died over the samples I tried, such an incredible texture. I had to really stop and argue with myself from buying one of everything inside. More than just beef jerky, this place really does have all the good stuff. If youre not attuned to spicy, make sure you know what you are sampling/buying. Thats especially true for the the jelly/jams.

I have now shopped Rays Jerky at all three places that you can buy it: online, and that both storefronts. All three experiences were fantastic! If youre a jerky fan, give them a try. Im hooked! My favorite is the jalapeño, but the desert heat comes in a close second! And a recent freebie in my online order has got me smitten with the spicy beef sticks. I try to keep plenty on hand...

Second time I stopped in this place, its a must if Im in the area. I hit both the Montrose and Ouray locations the same afternoon. The owner is a great dude. I purchased a good amount of jerky and he threw in some extras on him, thank you Ray! There is no bad product at their 2 locations, everything is so delicious and fresh. Ill be ordering more online...definitely stop if you are in Montrose or Ouray, you wont be disappointed!

Stop by and get some awesome jerky! This place is right on the way to Telluride from Montrose airport (there are those flailing arm stick men outside leading you right into the parking lot!). Amazing jerky flavors and you can try everything! Plus you can chat to the owner, Ray, and meet his dog!I loved the ghost pepper, desert hot, and black pepper flavors. I also picked up some buffalo and elk strips, as well as some local honey. Will definitely be ordering online in the future and highly recommend swinging by if youre in the area! Mmmm, very good. I loved the Elk jerky. My 6-mo-old enjoyed the Teryaki jerky for teething and tasting -- its too tough for him to break off but a nice flavor and texture to gum.

While on a road trip last week I stopped to visit Ray’s Good Stuff new store at 19385 HWY 550 (closer to Montrose than the old place), to pick up some of the world’s best beef jerky. Seriously, it’s that good! Both Ray and Kim were there, it was so much fun. There were so many different types of flavorful jerky to choose from. Ray took the time to explain the different jerky types and flavors and even had free samples to try. There was mild beef, teriyaki beef jerky, barbecue beef jerky and some spicy beef jerky too called desert hot and pure pain. While I was there I also picked up some tender elk and buffalo jerky. It certainly was the most flavorful jerky I’d ever tasted. They send out jerky gift boxes too. I’m thinking that would be a unique, unforgettable gift idea for the Holidays. Anyone heading to the San Juan Mountains to camp, hunt, climb, go 4-wheeling or even skiing in Telluride, will find it’s worth dropping by to pick some tasty high protein jerky snacks. I know I will, now that I’m addicted to Ray’s jerky.
