Frances at the Monterey store was so helpful. I am recuperating from a cracked rib and my husband hates to shop. Frances was able to determine the best mattress for our needs by our phone conversation. Her product knowledge was invaluable. I purchased a mattress set from Frances at Mattress Nation and highly recommend them. I had originally gone to Macys and was told the mattress would be delivered in 3 days, but the actual delivery date was in 2 weeks. Mike and Gabriel were amazing the entire time, and were able to work with me on my budget to get me exactly what I was looking for. I would give them six stars if I could. Enjoyed the experience. I went into the shop expecting things to be overpriced for a mattress store on Lighthouse St (near Cannery Row), but the sales rep Greg was very helpful and gave me a great deal on the Tempur-Pedic mattress. No sales tax for military members for purchases over ~$100 and I got a few other perks. Mum and Pop shop that buys in bulk and can sell at good prices.

My wife and I were looking for a Cal King mattress and box spring. I had looked at reviews online of various mattress stores and decided to make a visit to Mattress Nation in Monterey. When I arrived, I was greeted by Tom.I gave Tom a description of what my wife and I were looking for. We were not interested in a memory foam mattress and we wanted a mattress that was firm. Tom is an excellent sales associate. I immediately got a good vibe from Tom. He seemed very honest and informative. Tom took his time to answer any and all questions that I had. He never made me feel rushed. In fact, Tom suggested that I spend at least 20 minutes or so on each of the mattresses that were of interest to me. I was able to narrow it down to choosing between two mattresses. Tom never tried to up-sell me on anything. He went out of his way to make sure that I was comfortable with my purchase. They were even able to deliver the mattress the next day! Devin, the delivery person, called me about a half hour before arriving. When he arrived with his partner, I showed him the pathway upstairs. It is kinda a tricky angle but Devin and his partner did a great job of removing our old and bringing in the new.I highly recommend that you see Tom at Mattress Nation if you are looking for a mattress. I had a problem with adjustable bed bases I purchased from Mattress Nation. Put simply, Mattress Nation bent over backwards and went far beyond the call of duty to make things right for me. My husband and I went into the Monterey store on Saturday, March 13th and were greeted by an engaging representative Ali who treated us with respect and treated us like adults explaining all the various elements of their stock and the differences between them. He was to the point, straightforward, and we enjoyed the experience. We then went to Mattress Firm to compare and I felt like I was at a used car dealership passed off from one person to the manager who never would tell us the exact price of the mattresses we were interested in. We went back to Ali and ordered our two mattresses and they were delivered on time the next day to our complete satisfaction. I would highly recommend Ali and this retailer.

Stopped in thinking we would do a quick visit to try the CoolBeeeze technology with TemperPedic and ended spending an hour with Tom Cosgrove who walked us through all the options and ranges of TemperPedic and other brands available. We put down a deposit and are thrilled with our selection. Tom couldn’t have been more knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

The men were very gracious and they spent quite a bit of time trying to set up my remote. If these men are a representatives of your customer service, I would call it excellent.

This was by far the easiest, most stress free mattress purchase we’ve ever had. Greg was not at all pushy and listened to what we were looking for. We ended up finding the perfect mattress and Greg made sure we not only stayed in our desired budget but also gave us a new set of sheets! Oh, and they have a 90-day trial period so that if you don’t love it after a few nights you can bring it back for something else without any restocking or delivery fees! When we discovered I had the wrong style brackets for my new headboard to attach to my frame I had purchased a few months earlier, he took the call with a very empathetic, and enthusiastic can-do attitude. I went to pick them up and they were there when he said they would be, they were correct, and in celebration I purchased some bedding, pillows, and another frame for my grandson. I have really great experience with the company. From the initial order to delivery and assemble all the units, the work was carried out well. Everything was super simple and the guys who moved the bed in were super efficient and really helpful, even offering to move some other furniture out of the way. One of the best shopping experiences I’ve ever had. Went to Mattress Nation after a terrible experience at Mattress Firm in Sand City and Dave at MN made my day. It was my first day living on the peninsula so I wanted to leave the store with a mattress to sleep on that night and Dave made it happen. He hooked me up with the mattress I wanted + sheets all the while making me feel welcomed in a foreign place. He gave me the low down on the area and assured me I was in the right place. I needed new box-springs to put under a Cal King bed as the old ones were too noisy for the renters. I called Mattress Nation and was able to quickly get them ordered online and they were delivered the next day. They put them in place and disposed of the old box springs (a fee is paid to the state for this disposal). Very helpful and efficient.

I thought a good mattress would be expensive but that wasnt the case. I visited the lighthouse store and Andrew was extremely helpful, as well as personable.I strongly suggest you check them out.

Mattress shopping is a long and tedious process and my husband and I have different preferences. We had a duxianna brand which was marketed at the time (20 years ago) to last a “lifetime”. Our bodies have changed a lot, however, plus we wanted the adjustable mattresses in order to read and watch tv more comfortable as well as alleviate pressure on my knees and his upper back joints.Our research began 6 months ago while we were visiting relatives in Scottsdale (2 showrooms) and Ann Arbor (1 showroom). We learned a lot about what we didn’t want and ignored Consumer Reports charts which are geared to the masses and include “box mattress” options which would not be good enough for the rest of our lives (we are late60’s/early 70’s). We also excluded the highly rated Sleep Number mattresses because of it’s history of mechanical issues.We found that Mattress Nation (on Lighthouse, New Monterey) had many highly rated brands including our favorite, Tempur-Pedic, so we made an appt and had an “initial” meeting with Adam, a knowledgeable sales associate but there were a few interruptions by other clients and we made a subsequent appt with Mike Tran, co-owner. Mike is everything you could hope for: knowledgeable but not pedantic, consultative but not pushy, empathic and sincere and very patient. He met us 2 other times and we chose Tempurpedic split Cal-kings (contour breeze for my husband and cloud-breeze for me). Mike oversaw the process, order, delivery and set up(which was complicated) perfectly. We would recommend them as I trust they will stand by their word and go beyond your expectations.
