This 99 Ranch Market is very clean and organized. The meats and vegetables are always fresh. The customer service is excellent when you need to find items.Your daily staples can be found here without running to other Asian supermarkets to fulfill your shopping list.Make sure you go early on weekdays to find the best selections.Plan to go in the early evening on weekends to avoid the massive afternoon crowds and to secure a sacred parking space.
One of many markets in the area. Check out the nearby dim sum, Bakery, and bookstores walking distance away.
You standard 99 ranch. Its not as smelly as some of them but its also not especially large. Have found the parking to be more reasonable and less crowded than other strip malls in SGV.
The Vitasoy lemon tea was on sale at $5 for 2 six packs. That is the cheapest price anywhere in Monterey Park! Great deal!
Both West and East doors are open . More convenient than before. Easy to find a parking spot.
Compared to the other 99 ranch market I found more specialty produce here than in the other one I went to which was great
Good selection of seafood, fruits, and vegetables. Thumbs up!😊
Plenty of inexpensive and fresh seafood. Asian vegetables and meats prices are reasonable compared to nearby competition. This store has no hot food for sale like other 99 ranch locations. Plenty of parking on weekdays, but on weekends its busy as hell. Cashiers are friendly.
Not as big or expansive as some others, not as clean as others, but it was ok. Id give a three and a half because it wasnt a solid 4. Still, does what you need it to do
Very well stocked place with a lot of Asian goods and very friendly customer service people...
I really like 99 Ranch market plenty of Chinese/Asian grocery products
Sad to see lack of help and yet NO ONE really wants to work. Store still had a good selection
This 99 Ranch Market has a good variety of fresh vegetables and other grocery goods. The only down side was there wasnt a good alcohol selection. The grocery store was very clean and the employees were nice. Ill go back.
I went to the market yesterday, the cleanness was excellent and the customer service is very good. Im sure will go back again.
Pretty lots of childhood brands snack 😋 quite lots of variety
Always find my daughters fav. fruit jellies
Huge selection of products (primarily Chinese and Vietnamese with some Korean and Japanese) and great fresh produce. Full service butcher and seafood counters. Can be “overwhelming” if you don’t recognize/can read many of the brands but do your research and push yourself to try something new!
I used to go here as a kid with my mom. Now I go as an adult. Theyve had major renovations since then, it looks much nicer. This is a staple in the community.
I have been going to Ranch Market for years. They have certain vegetables and fruits that many other stores dont have. Of course being an Asian market they have a many different products from Asia.
3-stars because its my preferred market but the place has to change their carts, they are old and dirty! Also, they may have change the looks and arrangement inside the market but still smells😔😷🦠💉❌
Really rude staff. Asked a question about an item and the guy in produce told me “go over there. I don’t know” while waving his hand at me, without making contact. Then I asked another guy in a different aisle and didn’t seem like he wanted to help. They definitely need to hire more people that are friendly and welcoming. All employees that I tried to ask for help were rude. Why work there if you’re not going to help?
For grocery needs I always come to 99 Ranch Market. They have a vast grocery section, baked goods, fresh seafood and meat, and the produce section. It’s like a one stop shop
The stuff is expensive and the service attitude is not good
A more pricey popular Asian/Chinese supermarket with more variety and products. Service is also good.
It’s crowded as usual. The produce is always fresh, they are individually bagged since pandemics started, always a plus. Seafood and meat departments have large selections.
Fresh produce and good prices good customer service
I havent gone in there in over a year and they did a lot of good changes. Its a lot cleaner and you can find stuff more easily.
Awesome market 🤘🏽👹🤘🏽
Great supermarket and service. Lots of varieties of meats and vegetables, and everything else- sauces, candies, and more. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to shop for groceries for a good price.
Great lunch counter and the place to buy great duck
Nice clean space worker are practicing COVID-19 guide line’s. They provided hand sanitizer at the front of the store to clean your hands and cart.
I like bakery store in it.I always buy breads after 8:30 PM. Buy one get one free.
This is one of the largest 99 Ranch Markets in the Los Angeles area and one of only two quality Asian markets in the San Fernando Valley. This market is nearly always crowded and for good reason (other than not many other options): it is well stocked with a wide variety of Asian goods from produce, meats and seafood (live and frozen), sauces and canned goods, rice, noodles and housewares and kitchen items, to sweets, liquor (Chinese and European) and more. While it is not the most aesthetically attractive, it is a fixture in the area, drawing customers from all over the valley. Prices are fair.Parking? Be patient. The lot serves other businesses as well and most often is full.
Millionaire used to made here from California lotto. You know there are many market around this area but I love this place a lot.when I step in, I feel I am lucky.you may try it, and prove I am right.
Lots of good fresh seafood! Great selection! Rows of roes. The store is very clean.
Absolutely love this place! I actually live a little far from the store but driving the extra mileage is worth it. They have EVRYTHING I need, the prices are decent, & I always have a pleasant experience with the staff.
Like what I needed..this store remind me back home
This location is on of their older ones. There have been upgrades and updates, but the service here is below par to other locations. There is seldomly any help for bagging groceries and staff is often times rude. Pricing for vegetables are also a bit higher than other Asian markets, but they do have good quality.
Its a pretty good store has most of the products I came looking. Most products are very affordable and of good quality.
Where else am I going to go for affordable produce and milk tea powder?? I love shopping at this Asian market.
Great place to shop,
Store was busy. It was fairly stocked. The meat prices were low.
They need to hire cashiers that have basic customer service. They rarely have what I need in stock. But it is the only 99 ranch that is close enough
Its got everything Asian you need but I find the selection and freshness of 168 just a little better. But in all fairness, I think this seems to be a smaller 99 Ranch
You can find some good deals
I came here looking specifically for ginger honey citron jelly for tea Costco stopped selling it & I cant find it in stores...well it wasnt here either they carry mostly dry teas Disappointed about that but I found many other things I do like...this was my first time in an asian market yeah it smells fishy but they do sell live fish...In the produce section I picked up some baby bok choy, sprouts, napa...I found some peanut sauce base! I love that stuff for my satay chicken...got some oyster sauce for broccoli & thinly shaved beef that I got as well...if youre looking for extremely thin cuts of beef, chicken, & lamb this is the place they also have baby back ribs cut into square size pieces, they even have black chickens...cant wait to use my wonton soup base & I even found a snack sweet & sour dried prunes...very happy with my visit but my quest for the ginger jelly tea continues
I love all their products but the customer service needs some work. I was at the register and when it was my turn before the cashier started scanning my items she asked me if I was paying with food stamps. Im not saying its a horrible thing but it rubbed me the wrong way. It makes me wonder if they asked this question to all their patrons or just to certain ones. (Im Latina)So yeah that was my experience while shopping there.
Plenty of Asian food products and Seafood assortment and yummy dumplings 😋...
99 ranch as standard (good). Fish department guy scrounge around back to fins crabs for me.
Fried fish the best !
Amazing food and awsome stuff at the market
Its always busy here. But they got all the Chinese grocery you can possibly want and the place is pretty clean. However I do hate parking here. I have seen multiple accidents in this parking lot.
Dirty ...no good guidelines for covid ...everybody near eachother no 6 feet rules nothing
This 99 Ranch Market is a bit smaller than other ones elsewhere but they seem to always have fresh quantity of produce readily available.Theyve upgraded their aisles to be more efficient and hold more products. The parking lot is shared with other businesses in a plaza and can sometimes be a headache. Spaces are tight.
I have been looking for Chinese 5 Spice for soooo long. I finally found it. 😍They have a great vegetable selection....found some yummy stuff. Purchased a beautiful rice cooker/steamer on sale....saved like $100.00....
Great service and prices
For anything Chinese, you should be shopping here. The wifes family, my in-laws, are from Taiwan, and this is the only market they know for food like home. One of the things I like especially, are the selection of hot-pot items any Chinese family worth their salt would be proud of. They have all your normal thinly sliced meats and a wide variety of mushrooms and veggies but the special items, with yummy goodness in the centers....now thats the ticket!
My wife and I really enjoyed shopping at Ranch Market.
Love my mushrooms from this market. Decent prices.
Messy, smelly, unorganized, and rude cashier, but they don’t care. Most the people they served are the same.
I love this Market! Everything they have is always fresh. Thank you for all you guys do.
Has everything you expect from 99. Clean location and has everything you need for hotpot.
Pretty clean, and, from my observations, most grocery items youd need for Chinese cooking are there
Im pretty sure this is the best Asian grocery store in town. Has a little work to do to catch up to the Mira Mesa grocery stores but its got a lot of good selection.
Everything vons, Albertsons, Ralphs, gelsons, trader Joes, and the others dont dare stock because the cpas dont let them...is available here.
This place has NOTHING! NOT EVEN THAI BASIL OR LIME LEAVES!! OR COCONUT MILK!? These are all basic things....Such disappointment.
Smaller than some other 99 Ranch markets, but still has most of the asian items you may need.
Ive been to the 99 Ranch Market in Gardena and Daly City (NorCal) and this is by far the smallest branch one Ive walked into. Its also disorganized.u2028u2028Stopped by after having an early dinner at Hotpot Hotpot nearby. Parking is difficult. My friend had a handicapped parking placard so we parked at the entrance facing the street thinking parking would be a breeze, but after we finished shopping, we discovered that the street entrance was locked (before 8pm) and so we had to exit the back way and walk back to the car at the street entrance handicapped slot.u2028u2028My take home shopping trophy of the night was a 28 cm Stainless Steel Yin Yang Style Hot Pot with Partition/Divider (now I can make hot pot with 2 different broths at home!). I had been looking for this online, but didnt want to shell out $25 to $40 on Amazon. Total score at $12.99 for the 2 soup yin/yang hot pot like the one I just saw at the Hot Pot Hot Pot restaurant that evening.
Employees keep talking back to me in chinese I dont speak chinese
I dont have one of these where I live so when I come here, I always stock up on my favorite things
This is a well stocked store. The cashier was extremely fast. I highly recommend this store.
Sadly Disappointed in this place!! They Dont carry Thai Basil Leaves!! Its an Asian market for heavens sake.. How do you not have thai basil leaves and coconut milk cans!?? I am so confused. 2 Stars for keeping this store clean.
Good, but they dont desinfect carts, and allow customers to touch all the produce, is a dirty store btw
Good lobster to cook
Ive been doing a lot of cooking at home. Ive been looking up recipes on YouTube. Quite amazing at what you can learn from watching these videos. 99 Ranch mainly carries Chinese food items. But they do carry a limited selection of ingredients from other South East Asian countries. They sell liquor and have a full meat market, seafood and produce section. They have a bakery, hot Chinese dishes, Dim Sum and sushi for sale. They also sell small electronic appliances like rice cookers, indoor grills etc... So if youre looking for a South East Asian grocery 99 Ranch is a good place to go shop.
I go there every week to pick up snacks for card night at home, and they never disappoint with the wide variety of things to find there.
Crowded parking. Long lines to pay.
Seafood is fresh, I enjoy my visits there.
Newly remodeled. Much better lighting for each row. This place is much more inviting now
This is the smallest 99 Ranch Market. It contains most of Chinese food, but not everything. It has advantages of not staying very long lines and various meet. Anyway, it is good.
Awesome, fast and cheap
Sometime certain food items are empty.
The place that we visit when we have to get fresh sea food or Chinese noodles. You will find a variety of vegetables and fruits here. Though the produce sometimes seem a bit old if you go on weekends. You get fresh sea food(live fish, lobsters, crabs etc) they would even cut and clean it.Good collection of Asian spices as well. The only bad experience would be the smell. It really Smells.
I like the convenience of shopping close to home and the very friendly and helpful staff! Bravo!
Yes, the food is all great but the supermarket is overall full of people who are racist. I had a horrible experience would go for the food but the atmosphere isn’t very polite. I don’t think it’s reasonable to be racist in a place were we go and buy something and then pay for it I asked two employees to show me were a certain item was at but they would look at me and ignore me. At that point I got frustrated and had to go to the manager which also wasn’t as polite they give me rude face expressions!
Great selection of all things Asian. Picked up some Hot Pot ingredients. Plenty of variety
Large Selections of Cookeries. Clean and Helpful Staffs. Pleasant and Enjoyable place to shop. Beautiful shoppers and freshness in all areas..
The variety is there. The freshness is not there. Im not sure if the vegetables have pesticides in them. I dont feel so good when I eat some of the vegetables.
Workers were not knowledgeable about where products were.
