This place is so good. The staff is amazing as well very welcoming!The owner is the sweetest! She said she wants the restaurant to feel like you are going to her house to eat and it felt exactly that way!The ambiance is cute too.

This place made me feel like home. The environment, the music and the food is so GREAT! Food is so tasty and very clean. Kibba and Fallafel sandwich are so good. Shawarma chicken is juicy and very flavorful. Definitely I am coming back. The place Is great to chill and to have a great meal with great staff

Fantastic! Very tasty- we had the beef shawarma and the pomegranate chicken along with four of the mini dishes! The ambiance was great and the waitress was very friendly. A Greta spot for date night or family friendly as well!

The food was delicious! We ordered the mezza special and chose baba ganoush, stuffed grape leaves, kebeh, and falafel. They were all really good! We also had the pomegranate chicken and it was really tasty. The service was great as well and so was the ambiance. I also spoke to the owner once when I went in on another occasion and she was super nice and friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Amazing experience. We came in late (barely 45 before close). They still made us feel welcome and the owner even spent some time after close to hang out and explain her vision for the food. I enjoyed my whole experience at a level I was not expecting. Highly recommend and will definitely be adding it to my standard rotation.

Some of the best, if not THE best, middle eastern / syrian food i’ve ever had. (i’m being unbiased.) the food is matched by the ambiance and the authenticity in every single detail the owner, jumana, has put into this space.

What a wonderful experience. Felt like eating in someones house. First course was delicious but save you have to make space for main and desert. The family are warm and welcoming. You have to give this place a chance.

Happened to try takeout from here last week and couldnt have been more pleasantly surprised! Just amazing -- you can feel that everything was cooked with love. Interesting flavors and textures -- and all-around just incredible. Well be back (often!).

What a wonderful and unique place!From the moment you walk in, you instantly notice the very unique decor. The food is mostly chef creations, so this is not your typical middle eastern restaurant. We ordered the eggplant fatteh, kibbeh, falafel sandwich and beets salad. Everything came out beautifully and we also had the chance to chat with the owner who is also the chef, such a beautiful lady. Will definitely come back.

Friendly, very pleasant small cafe. Just starting serving food in June 2018. We ordered the ‘sofra’ which included labneh, hummus, fresh veggies, baba ganoush, and a pot of tea. All home made, all tasty. A nice change of pace. Can sit outside or in.

This place has amazing food-tastes homemade and is such a cute little restaurant with charming decor. I will definitely be back to try other dishes. My friend and I loved the chicken pomegranate dish along with their greek salad and chickpea soup. It was so fresh and delicious, definitely a must try if you are in Montclair!

Le Souk is a charming bistro run by delightful Syrian woman. She is an art teacher at a local State University in addition to the proprietor of this establishment, and you can see her training in the food and the decor of the restaurant. Her recipes are her rendition of traditional Syrian fare. Everything is handmade and prepared to order. This means that it may take a little longer for it to reach you, but its worth it. The restaurant itself is like a Souk (market in Arabic) where you can eat, shop, and otherwise sit and chat. There are a number of Syrian and Eastern Mediterranean items for sale. You can see and feel that personal touches that she puts in everything. A word to the uninitiated: this isnt a typical restaurant in the classic sense. There are no waiters, food runners, dishwashers. Everything is done by one person with perhaps some help from another. If you want something like more bread or water, then you may have to to get up and ask for it.

Recently moved in and am obsessed with the food here. Amazing! Must go to for lunch and dinner!

Delicious, healthy, high quality food made by Jumana with her magic touch. I love taking out from Le Souk because I know its going to be a special meal, every time. Try the kebeh and the beef schwarma, oh and the baked falafel waffle. Everything is out of this world!!

Great famillial cozy atmosphere

My husband and I stumbled across this place randomly and couldnt be happier that we decided to venture in! The food is amazing, the tea is fabulous and the atmosphere and ambiance are so cozy and inviting! We will be back many times :)

Run, don’t walk to Le Souk in Montclair for an amazing dining experience of Syrian food. Jumana is enchanting and welcomed our group of 10 on November 16 with warmth and grace. The presentation of the delicious food is picture perfect. An eclectic mix of flavors and textures that had everyone in our group wanting more! And, the service is impeccable. Our group was also entertained with traditional Syrian music by Yazan, Jumana’s son. Food, music and dancing! A wonderful way to spend a Saturday night. We’ll be dining at Le Souk again and again!

I rarely write reviews but the food at Le Souk is absolutely divine! Montclair-ians if you havent eaten at this relatively new establishment, you are missing out. The owners/staff are lovely. It feels like you are a guest in the home of a family that truly loves visitors. I highly recommend eating and shopping here.
