We love hanging out. Yesterday we went to this delicious place which we didn’t know before. We passed a lovely experience there with superb food and a courteous team and a great chief cook. We put this restaurant in our phone list and we shall no doubt visit again very soon. Highly recommended.

I love this place. The service was excellent. The food was good. Only thing I didnt like was the price. I get college food is supposed to be expensive but their cheapest meal was $7 but if you have the funds for it, this is a great place to eat

I’ve eaten here several times because it was open late and on campus. Every time it’s been slow, VERY SLOW. The staff forgets that you exist before you even order. Even on a slow night, ordering one item, you will be here a minimum of an hour (fastest I’ve gotten out). I’ve even brought people here for the experience of poor management and service.I will say all the staff I’ve engaged with have been very pleasant to speak with but that doesn’t make up for the experience.Update: I wrote this before I was able to pay the bill and leave. I expected this to be my fastest experience there but it ended up being and hour and a half... so yeah.

Terrible. If I were to try to describe in detail how bad my experience here was, wed be here all day long, but in short, I refuse to ever go back there again. So horrible, dont ever bother wasting your time and money here

As a college student, this place is great. Almost always open during the school year and decent prices! Ive never had an issue with food and the servers are always great. Highly recommend especially if you live on campus.

Great food, quick service, and a very friendly staff easily makes this diner worth visiting. As a returning customer, I would definitely recommend this place. Also, a good selection.

Food was good, staff not so much!

Overpriced for mediocre food. The service was bad as well and really rude. The host isnt attentive to the entrance and I literally had to get his attention. The buttermilk pancakes were dry and had no type of flavor. The scrambled eggs were underseasoned and were broken up like small grains of rice. The only good things were the free water, coffee, bacon, sausage, and fries. Definitely wouldnt come here again.

The worst diner i have ever been to by far. Makes me extremely ashamed to give them even the slightest bit of hope when i get there. Their servers and staff are absolutely horrible and rude beside the select 2 people. The service itself is so slow and takes up to 2 hours to receive food that you want to take out. DEFINITELY needs improvement and while new management because whatever system they’re using now is BARELY working. Disgusted that this is apart of my school, DO BETTER !!

My party of four visited this diner on Sunday October 7, 2018 at approximately 1PM. We were seated immediately and the diner at that time was only slightly moderately busy. We all were given menus immediately and shortly a waiter brought glasses of water. The table next to us were seated after us, however, they received attention quite fast and ordered before we were even approached for an order. As a matter of fact, it was a ome time before anyone approached us for an order. On the other side of us was a table that came in after us and ordered after us. After some time, it was an excessive wait and we were yet to receive our order. The table that came in after us, but ordered before us, received their order. I was not too happy about that. But to make matters worse, the table that came in after us and ordered after us were served as well and we were yet to receive our order. Quite perplexing since they carried a limited menu, and the table next to us ordered some same items as we did. At that point I had enough of the poor and slow service so I walked out. The rest of my party decided to wait it out and finally received their order. I would hate to see the struggle they might have on a somewhat busy day. I never write negative reviews, but I guess there is a first time for everything. I would not recommend this diner, nor will I return.

Really hit or miss. Ive had mostly good service but if they get busy you might get forgotten. I have eaten here three times now and two times I enjoyed the food, this last time not so much. Unless you are at MSU just find another local diner

Dont understand the bad reviews??? My son is a student at Montclair State and we always go there when we visit him. Friendly and courteous staff, delicious food served hot and fast, one of the best diners Ive eaten in anywhere. Plus they treat the students very well, have weekly specials and provide a very nice environment for them to get away to and relax or get some work done.

Waited 5 minutes to be seated. Waited another 20 minutes before I had a chance to order. Waited 35 minutes for me and my friends 3 milkshakes. And then another 15 for the check. Spent an hour and 15 minutes here for 3 milkshakes. I’m so tired. I assume they are milking a cow out back for every milkshake, or else I can’t fathom how it took so long for them. Here is a tip: they sell milk at the Outtakes in Blanton Hall. Use that next time

Cute little old school diner is a real diner with great prices and food. Easier to eat there during summer because of parking . People were nice...food is reg diner food.

So-so food, long wait times. Some servers were friendly, one manager was very rude. Ok if you go to MSU and nothing else is open, otherwise go elsewhere

Ive heard nothing but horror stories about this place, I dont know where they are coming from. Ive eaten here a few times in mid 2018, good food and very nice staff.

Im convinced that the food served here is the same food that they serve at the baseball stadium across the street...except it costs $3 more and takes an extra 45 minutes to get served. The waiters dont care about the customers and often forget about you. The air freshener in this place consists of those hocky puck things you pee on in a urinal that are taped to the air vents.

Food is not severed as it is said in the menu. I had really high expectations for what I got but didn’t get what I expected.

Gave it two tries, I will swear off it now. Food is low quality and much of the menu is often unavailable. Coupleing that with the especially high prices makes this place a dud.

Good food, good service, and not too tight on a students budget.

Its hit and miss at this place. Sometimes you can get really good food and other times youll get a milkshake with spoiled milk. The service there is rarely good and one time I had to shout my order from across the restaurant. Even had some sexist remarks thrown at my friends, but if you can bypass all that and the fact that if theres more than 15 people at the restaurant they go into panic mode, its an ok place to eat especially since theres not many other options on the campus.

Completely unprofessional establishment, stay clear of this diner. Rude staff, over priced and inconsiderate. Plenty of better diners in Monclair that deserve your business. Look otherwise.

Went on a tuesday night was told they had a very busy day and there out pf everything except chicken salad, tuna salad & turkey sandwiches, fully staffed saw atleast 6 employees just sitting doing nothing seemed like they where happy to not be working

Few staff members that need discipline, food is pretty good, prices are pretty high, moderate to long wait times, but its open till 3am or so, so id come back
