Needed to have my steering coupler replaced. Not only did they have the best price around, they fixed it quickly. In and out with no hassle. I’ll definitely check with them if I ever need future work done on my car. It’s hard to find good mechanics sometimes. Happy to know I have an option near by.

This was a terrible experience!!! My sunroof started to act up so I found ORR and chose this place based on Yelp reviews. Boy, was that a mistake!!! I scheduled a 12:30 appointment, but took it in earlier, at 8. The man at the desk said it would be fine and they would take at look at my car after the one they were working on. At about 10:30 I got an automated text asking if I was okay with work estimate of $139.00. I agreed to it. At 3:15 or so when I had not heard from them I called, only to have them tell me they hadnt ordered part yet or calculated my total. Confused, I asked what the estimate was for, if not for the work! He said for diagnostic inspection. He would call me back shortly with total. At 5:10 when I had still not heard back, I called again only to have the put me on hold for about 10 minutes and come on to tel me it would be $860. I said no thanks! Turns out they took the liberty to run a full inspection on my entire car. Chris & Nathan they did this as a courtesy to me. HA!!! I asked them to check my rooftop, what made them think it was okay to check my entire car! Horrible communication, deceitful practices, and terrible customer service.

The lady in front has a arrogant attitude like she hates her life and I was quoted a price then was told by her she makes the prices and my price is higher she needs to fix her atrium honor the prices initially given. Her customer service sucks!!!!!

I found Orr automotive on Yelp. My dealership was booked but my check engine light was on. Orr automotive was able to see me that week and solved the problem! Very kind receptionist and everyone was helpful and welcoming! I will be coming back for any other car issues.

Great customer service experience

Long overdue for service on my vehicle, so several things needed attention. Was provided with services needed/suggested quotes, and spent a few minutes talking over options, appears to be running well since services definitely an improvement to before. Still need a thing or two attended to before too long but up and running well enough for now. Fair pricing, nice people. It’s good to have a reliable and honest shop near, one less thing to worry about.

Good service and quality

The transmission gave out on my 2003 Ford Explorer, and there was a leak with my coolant system as well. They were able to fix both problems without much hassle and affordably too. They were very professional and friendly about things, if I ever need any repairs or work done on my car Im definitely coming back here.

I had a very difficult, hard to diagnose, problem with the electrical system in my 2017 Subaru, which caused my battery to frequently lose its charge. Apparently, its a problem with 2017 Subaru Foresters. The mechanic took all the time he needed and spared no effort to discover the source of the problem and fix it. It took some time, but he didnt give up and didnt just tell me I needed to drive it more frequently (which Ive since learned other mechanics have done when faced with this problem.)

The mechanics here are good people. Ive been taking my Volvo S40 there for over 3 years. They do quality repairs with fair prices. They have been nothing but helpful and kind. Nate always explains the car problem in terms that I understand and shows me the parts that were replaced. When Im tight on money he lets me know what needs to be done now and what can wait plus they offer carecredit to help with the payments. When I had an accident and other persons insurance provided me with a rental car Orr dealt with the rental company regarding how long I would need the rental for. He also advised me on how to deal with the guy that hit me because he just wanted to give me cash instead of go through his insurance. Nate advised against that and thank goodness because the cost of the damages were WAY more than the guy was offering. Thats just a few of the many ways that he has helped me out over the years.I would recommend this auto shop to anyone that wants an honest mechanic with quality service at an affordable price.

I have to say and this is a little late to write this but Nate did a awesome job on my Nissan Altima. Timing chain issues, broken cam shaft, you name it but he and his crew went above and beyond to my car needs and worked with me on the price. I wish I worked closer still to take my car in but I cant :( My only rant to say is I wish you all were still open on Saturdays.

Orr Automotive kicks A**. The shop fixed my husbands Honda Civic in one day and boy did that car need some work. My husbands car needed brake fluid changed, oil changed, the radiator fluid changed, new tires, alignment and a tune up. I have brought my old car to them a horrible pt loser (cruiser) and that turned out to have electrical problems (got rid of that car). The car I have now is a Honda Crosstour it will be due for service soon so I will bring it to Orr Automotive. Theyre reliable and trustworthy and WONT ROB YOU. They NEVER robbed me at all. Believe me I have searched for good and honest mechanics they all robbed and didnt fix anything, finding a good mechanic that actually lives up to its standards is rare. Finding this place was like a needle in the Hay Stack. They will always be the shop I go to.I dont care if I have to drive a long way they have my business till I die. Thank You Orr Automotive !!!

While visiting friends in Montclair, my wifes Toyota Matrix started leaking under the dash (on her new suede shoes!). We werent excited about the idea of another breakdown driving from Southern to Northern California, but neither were we excited about going to an unfamiliar mechanic. After research, we found ourselves at Orr Automotive and were super glad we did.John treated us right. He walked us through the steps of his diagnosis, took us out to the car to show us his findings, and gave us a discount on additional issues he found since he was digging around anyway. Chris treated us well, too, driving us back to our spot and chatting us up about auto maintenance tips and life in Montclair.Tl;dr: if you need a diagnosis and solution to a car problem in the Montclair area, go to Orr Automotive. A++ service. My 2002 Mercedes c240 started overheating on Christmas eve, on my way to a friends house, I did a quick search for auto repairs facilities near the area and Orr automotive was the closest one. Any way to make story short the shop was just about ready to close around 2 pm, guess it was a short day for them after all it was Christmas eve!. Turns out a had a defective coolant thermostat and a damaged radiator hose clamp!!. the guys stayed a little longer just to get the parts and fix my car. and they where happy to do it too, they got me back on the road in no time, my car is still running. and I might add, I have spend more in a single oil change for this same car at different mechanic shops, then what I spend that they on the repair. this guys knew what they where doing, and did it fast, and they are good people tooo!!!!.

I was really let down by my visit to Orr automotive. I went because it had so many great reviews here on Google, but my experience was the exact opposite. My appointment which was estimated to take 2 hours for a simple electrical diagnostic for my front headlight. It ended up taking 8. The girl up front, Mindy was very unprofessional and failed to leave any information about what the shop was to do with my car after she clocked out for the day. If I had not called to check in, I dont believe they would have had any idea my car was still needing to be picked up. Basically the left hand doesnt know what the right is doing here.

Car had to return twice for same repair.
