My Family loved coming here for ice cream. They have so many varieties of ice cream, sundaes, shakes, and other treats. The prices are great, and you wont break the bank coming here. Way better than the other soft serve places around town. Also great that they sell their ice cream flavors in pints. Personally, I love coming here because they have chocolate almond ice cream. They seem to be the only place in Monroe that carries it, grocery stores included. Very convenient that they added the drive through window too. Cant wait to come back!

This ice cream place has been established more than 80 years ago!! What?! It must be good! And yes it is!! So many flavors….I counted 36 flavors that day!! Wow. Most important, the ice cream is so so so good….staffs there are very friendly and nice. We are not sure when or if we will be this area again, but if we do, we will definitely come again.

Best Ice-cream shop in Monroe County. Massive selection of great tasting ice-cream; Independent dairy laughs in the face of Baskin Robbins meager 32 flavors boasting over 40 flavors! My personal favorite so far is peanut butter explosion. Not the most convenient location but they do have a drive-thru which is very very nice. Everyone is always very friendly and courteous. I highly recommend going here and supporting this little gem of Monroe.

Great experience it was my first time and had something different there very tasty unlike some other ice cream shops I also felt welcome there had that warm welcome feeling you get from your small town local shops. I will be back

Thank you for the great service. I was a bit worried when I read the sign that said they were short staffed. I ordered 5 ice cream items and for being short staffed they were very friendly and I received my order in a timely manner. We will be back. Keep up the great work and smiles. The workers were still smiling as busy as they were.

Im not really an ice cream person but this strawberry cheesecake ice cream blew my mind! My lips and hands werent sticky. The strawberries were real (not strawberry flavored corn syrup streaks). I had a 5 minute drive home AND I sat in the car for about another 10 minutes and it was like I had just bought it. If the ice cream is this good I can only imagine how good the milk AND the butter are. I will definitely go back to find out. I think Ive found a Michigan jewel! Ice cream in Georgia isnt this good.

I cant decide if the price or the ice cream was better. My wife and I both got something for 6.50 thats very cheap and it is very good. This is going to be our new weekly spot. Thank you

Birthday Cake ice cream from Independent Dairy should be mandatory for everyone in Monroe county on their birthday. This place is a staple. Vast selection of hard and soft ice cream. I got a double of Superman and Birthday Cake in a cup. Masks required at this time, Xs marked on the floor for social distancing. 2 tables inside are available to sit at, or you can sit outside.

Great ice cream at even better prices! The lines can get long here, so expect a wait. Highly recommended!

While they have wonderful ice cream, they dont seem to care about the health of their customers or even the staff. Besides me, only the the young lady behind the ice cream counter had a mask. Just trying to show social distancing with sign on door and marks on floor near ice cream counter. Happy I found banana ice cream, but will not be back. If you have a high risk person or persons in your household, stay AWAY until a vaccine comes out. Good ice cream but in this day and time, not caring customer service.

Their in store made, hand scooped ice cream has been my favorite since I was a child. They have many different flavors including sugar-free varieties and their cones are never skimpy in size.

Wonderful cartons of rich, delicious ice cream as well as hand dipped specialties. General food as well with friendly employees. Try the pistachio almond or pumpkin praline yum!!

Drove out of our way for great ice cream and a malt . My wife has worked for several different ice cream parlors in several different states. Your malt made her stop an get a mushroom and Swiss cheese burger on the way home.
