Roberto was great and highly informative. He was able to quickly and efficiently change my cars oil and rotate the tires. Almost any part that is needed can be delivered on site within 15 minutes. Great service and great employees!

I was traveling through North Carolina visiting family and my car was overheating! Thank god, the owner was so nice and helped me right away so that I could visit my family as soon as possible. It was also surprisingly affordable which was my biggest fear. Supper happy with service!!

This Robert is a shonky mechanic. He said initially he replaced the crankshaft for $750+, but didn’t do the camshaft. Then charge me another $190+ for the camshaft. Why would a professional mechanic didn’t tune it up or check if it’s working fine after replacing the part? Red flag there! Then my engine light comes up again. He said I didn’t pay for tune up and wants to charge me another $260???!!!! Are you serious???? I don’t even think this guy knows how to fix cars. One thing is for sure, he knows how to lie a lot.

Do yourself a favor and find a reputable mechanic, this guys a joke. Wouldnt recommend to add air to your tires

Roberto is a very dishonest person..... He will tell you one price before the service then the price changes after the service. Not only will you be over charged, you will come to this shop with one issue then leave with a new issue. Dont take you car to this shop bc you will end up taking it to the dealership due to this shop making the issue worst.

This guy is pretty good at what he do. I love the fact that I can drop my truck off and I know that it will be fixed at a decent time. Hes a reliable and trustworthy person that I can count on. Thanks Robert 👍👍👍

Love Pro Rod. Extremely professional and knowledgeable. I truly feel like I can trust the owner and his team. Robert went out of his way to contact dealers service center to question them on things they told me and to help me understand what they were trying to communicate. Mr. Ponce has done 2 repairs for me so far, and both times he’s done an excellent job. His prices are extremely reasonable and he’s a genuine person. It’s really hard to find a combination of the two these days. I’ll always go to Pro Rod Auto Repair and I’ll definitely recommend him to anybody who needs satisfactory work.

Would put 0 stars if I could. My family paid this man more than a fair price for nothing. He said he could fix the issue but in the end was just ended up sending us to the Dodge dealer after supposedly working on the truck. Just dont go here take your truck directly to Dodge and cut this rip off artist out of the equation.

Brought my husbands Mercedes in to see if Robert could help with the cloudy headlights. Not only could he help, but in less than an hour had them looking like new!!! I needed to get my 2007 Chevy Impala checked out due to a message saying wheel monitoring system needs servicing. Pro Rod Auto was recommended to my Wife by her co-workers so being new to the area and not having a steady mechanic I tried them. I went in there thinking this will probably cost an arm and a leg like most repairs on your car but Robert was honest and said all I needed was to fill up the tiers some more and that should do the trick. He also checked the breaks upon my request because when I break it feels rough and not smooth like it should. He said the roaders had some rust on them which is causing the rough stops and the pads looked good and were at about half life. No charge for anything which I feel rarely happens when you bring a vehicle in. I will definitely go back to them and recommend this shop to anyone looking for honesty, integrity and prices hard to beat from what Ive herd from others, again I paid $0

Robert, of Pro Rod Auto Repair, is a knowlegable, reliable and honest mechanic. I strongly recommend utilizing the services of this local business. On my first visit, I asked to watch the work being completed on my 20 year old Toyota Corolla. Robert was accomodating, answering every question asked. He refinished the headlights on the Corolla, and they looked brand new. At one point, the check engine light came on repeatedly. Robert checked the car each time the light came on, but refused to charge for services until he solved the problem! About a year ago, after the Toyota was totalled in a collision, Robert became my go to person as I purchased a car. Each car I considered was checked thoroughly by Robert, and he gave me great advice about why or why I shouldnt purchase the car, including giving advice on the price to pay. As a female customer, I am grateful for an honest and dependable mechanic. This is definitely a local business, which should be fully supported. I highly recommend Pro Rod Auto Repair.

This place is a total rip-off.. he charged my dad $1800 just to say he doesnt know how to fix it, and sent the truck to the Dodge dealership... also the pics are misleading. The place is so much smaller than pictures and it seems as though its just the owner, Robert, and one young guy that works there... Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere!!!

While traveling with my family at the beginning of the July 4th weekend, we ran into car trouble in Monroe, NC. It was already 3 pm on a Thursday, and we were referred to Robertos shop by the very helpful staff at OReilly Auto Parts also in Monroe. Roberto completed the work for us right then, and had us back on the road within a few hours. The work was done well and we appreciated his fitting us in at that late hour on a holiday weekend. If we lived in the Monroe area, we would be using Pro Rod Auto Repair for our car repairs. Thank you, Roberto!

I first came to Pro Rod using a groupon last year and received great customer service and work. I love supporting locals and do not mind not having a fancy waiting area!

Made an appointment with this guy (I guess, Rod) to get an oil change at 4:15pm today (Friday). He told me that was no problem to get in and get it done before he closed at 5:00pm. I show up on time and no one is there. I call again and he answers saying he had something come up and had to leave and close early. IS HE THE ONLY EMPLOYEE???But I got no phone call informing me of this!! And I needed to get it done today before having to hit the road on a long road trip in the morning, so I had to go elsewhere... after already paying this guy via Groupon!! Groupon should stop doing business with him immediately!!!

Do not go here is is just trying to get money! He broke my sensors on my tires and blamed me and told me I had to pay, he also got the wrong brakes for my car and told me it was because I told him the wrong vehicle I’ve had my car for two years I know what kind of car I have! His employee smokes in the building and curses and complains about work, he lies about quoted prices I paid 300+ on front brakes only! He only did one good thing which is get me deal on tires but that’s it! He takes no credit whatsoever for his mistakes and just wants you to spend your money in the shabby establishment. Do not come here people he is not a good mechanic. He also does not add a disclaimer on his Groupon about the 10 extra dollars you have to supposedly spend on a oil change! He is ridiculous and I hope you guys take my advice I will surely not come back there ever!

Im not quite sure where to begin....I just relocated from CT and needed to get an oil change. In CT I had the same mechanic for 12 years---My car is a 2004 Chrysler Sebring with 250,000+ miles. I attribute it to the maintenance & upkeep over the past 9 years.Well I needed a simple oil change and was told by several Repair shops that I needed a new Oil Pan---The quotes ranged from $700-$800!Long story short Pro Rod was able to do the job for $250 and a QUALITY JOB at that.....I wasnt just happy that the job was done for less---I was happy that it was done for less without sacrificing any of the quality!Listen I hear people complain about getting ripped off---I will back Pro Rod 100%! I was nervous at first but I am sooooo happy & $450 richer!!!!Thank you again Roberto----For putting faith back into the auto care industry!!!Sincerely,Adam Turner

If u need a “real” mechanic for your vehicle Robert is the go to person. After dealing with Car Dealerships trying to find and repair an electrical issue with a 2008 Hummer H3 without success, Robert identified the issue, repaired the problem and a year later it is running like new!

I wish there was zero or negative stars that I could give to this place. Got ripped off in the name of Groupon discount. $50 for an oil change in addition to using Groupon? Are you kidding me? Ended up paying $75 for a Oil change.. Coyld have gone to a Toyota dealer and gotten my oil change done for a cheaper price.. This place was junk with no waiting area and had to wait 2 hours in cold (no heater) and pay big money for the worst service ever.. Not sure if the guy even used the groupon as he never asked for it and told me to mark as redeemed.. Now I even doubt if any service was performed inside or the car was just given back to me.. Very Dissapointing to say the least.. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
