Skint-N-Dent is the official repair service for Frigidaire appliances in this area. When our refrigerator went out in the middle of the night, making a noise so loud we could not sleep without closing the doors, I turned off the power to the appliance ( fearing a possible fire ) and left a voicemail seeking assistance. I followed up with a phone call the next morning. The man I spoke to said it would be three weeks before anyone would be available. Three weeks! He was unconcerned, rather rude in attitude and told me to use Google if I needed anyone sooner. I cannot recommend this service.

We bought a stove there, and have been waiting on a part for two months now. They say the part is in, but itll be next Monday before they can get a technician out. Theyre in no hurry to come out and get the stove fixed after two months. This is just horrible. My son is back home from the military and no stove in the house. This has been going on since may, its now the 6 day of July!

Called today 03/04/2019 at 830 am wanting to purchase a washer/dryer. Was willing to just pay cash for one or both. I see the advertising all the time on TV and thought it might be a good deal to call. While on the phone with the man asking questions about whether they have some as cash program he says I JUST TOLD YOU WHAT PRIGRAMS WE HAVE I just hung up. When you have a potential for new customers and you are rude to them over the phone its bad for business. Be more patient and friendly.

I called to inquire if Skent and Dent had any front load washers before driving 2 hours to get one. I was told they had several. Two hours driving later, they had none. No one had an explanation or apology. I wont be back. They obviously didnt take the time to check the inventory.

If youre looking for an appliance to perform its purpose, its a good idea to check their inventory. If you want perfection in appearance,You probably need to go to a retailer not a wholesaler! It is what it is!

I am not even sure it deserves 1 star. I bought a brand new clothes dryer from Skent N Dent about a month ago. Luckily they salesman talked me into also purchasing the extended warranty! I picked the dryer up Thursday and Saturday at noon it wasnt working. They only come our way once per week so it was the following Wednesday. The serviceman has been to repair the dryer every Wednesday since! And it still isnt fixed. Now he says a new part has to be ordered but he installed the wrong part which made it worse. Now it will be another week. 2 children! The manager at Skent N Dent had a fabulous suggestion! Spend some more money and upgrade to a new dryer! This is a new dryer!!!!

I am very disappointed in this place and their customer service! We purchased a top loader maytag washer on 8/14/2019 and it stopped working the next day! Not even 24 hours after getting it home and hooked up!! Called them first thing on 8/16/2019 and they gave me 3 options 1- wait until Wednesday to get it looked at by them 2- bring it to them to get it serviced or 3- bring it to them for exchange I informed them I had no way to bring it to them since my husband was gone for 2 weeks with his truck and that I need a washer before Wednesday since I have 4 kids to wash clothes for and that is why we chose them to buy a washer from and the lady said that is all she could do for me! I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!! This is ridiculous!

This business was contracted by Best Buy to service my refrigerator. The technician was rude when he was at my house. He said it would have to be brought to their shop and I would have to pay them to pick it up, deliver it back, and I would have to sign a waiver for any damages done in the freighting. I consulted Best Buy and they told me I did not have to pay freighting charges and not to sign any type of a waiver as it is against their policy. When they came to pick up the refrigerator, at ot cost, they still insisted I sign and when I told them Best Buy told me not to do that they walked out and left. The manager called me and told me flat out they refused to service the unit and I was on my own to find a repairman. I called Best Buy again and they were outraged at how this was handled. No one should even think about using this company for appliance repair!

We bought a dish washer and washing machine from Skent N Dent in June of 2018. The price and salesman was great. We also bought their longest extended warranty for both.Our washing machine broke and was determined to need a new part on Aug 13, 2018 by their service dept. We have been waiting for two weeks for a part. Now their service department tells me if we cannot be home between 9:30 and 11:30 on August 31, that we will have to wait at least another 1.5 weeks because they are so busy.This sucks. Do not buy service from these guys! Christmas comes around more often than they do.

Why would you EVER pay full retail price for a washer and dryer that is just going to sit in a laundry room? We bought a stand up freezer from them at a 20% discount over retail because the BOX had a hole in it. Freezer is in perfect shape.Update -3/21: after the good experience I had with the freezer I went back for a new dishwasher and range. Saved 30% on the dishwasher and 50% on the range! So far I have saved probably $2000 by shopping here.

Friendly people! Nice place to shop, good selection of appliances.. over the last 8 or so years I have purchased a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer and dryer, they had only minor dent that were not noticable after they were installed. i have never had any problems mechanically wrong with any of the appliances I have purchased! I recommend skent and dent to anyone needing appliances prices are reasonable...

Y. Woods (mother/ mother in law) We had a dryer repaired by Alan George on March 21, 2018. I feel as if I was taken advantage of. When he came to service the dryer on March 14, he said the rollers needed replacing. I ask was that normal for the rollers to go out on a dryer that is barely 3 years old. He said it depends on the make and model. He never showed me the damaged rollers. I asked could it be anything else beside the rollers. He said no. When he returned on March 21 he replaced the rollers and the roller pulley. He told me when he was finished, that he just happen to have a roller pulley in his truck. When I saw the old rollers he removed, they had no wear on them, but the roller pulley was damaged. I took pictures. If he had told me about the roller pulley before he began the repairs I would have told him to replace the roller pulley first to see if that was the problem. I feel that he had to replace the roller pulley because it was the real problem. When the company was contacted they just said Alan was a 10 year employee and they had no problem with him. Our concerns were not addressed at all. No receipt for parts ordered. He did not return to his truck, he had the roller pulley with him when he came in. We ordered parts that were not damaged. He said they had to return the parts to the company. How many others has he scammed without their knowledge? Why did he not show me the damaged rollers before he said I needed to replace them? We spent 255.72 for parts that were not damaged. How do I know that he wont use those rollers to scam someone else? How do I know it he had the roller pulley from someone else he scammed. We will never use this company again. Always get a second opinion. Women be aware. You can sometime be taken advantage of. I asked all the right questions and still got scammed. The service charge was 95.00 plus tax 108.57. Total job was 494.36. He was shocked when I took pictures of the old rollers and the roller pulley. He was in such a hurry he did not want to count the money. I insisted that he counted the money before he left. He said usually when it is more than 100.00 the person has usually counted it more than once. When someone comes to repair anything video tape it, record it and get a second opinion, take pictures of the old parts if they wont leave them. It does not matter how long someone has been employed, the customer is always the most important person. He just may have finally been caught. I, Y. Woods (the mother in law) was the person who dealt with Alan during the repair of the dryer.

Do not buy from them.I have talked to the manager about a stove that was put in the house. The stove is bad just two years later.He literally told me he doesnt care what my m.i.l says. Not the way you handle business.A simple its out of warranty would of been enough.Oh and he had no problem at all with me telling him he will never receive business from us again.

Ever wonder what happens after the contractor dropped the refrigerator when unloading it? They often get sent here if they still work. Its not quite like the advertisement where you really have to look to find the dent or scratch, but they do occasionally get them where they are hard to find. We furnished our new home with all skent n dent items and saved a load of money, even purchased the warranties just to be safe but never needed them. Im glad theyve opening up a location here in Shreveport so now I dont have to travel so far for my next purchase. Ill be back!

I scheduled a repair service through my JCPenny extended warranty and they scheduled repair to be done by Home Appliance Service on Monday. A rep from Home Appliance Service called later in the day to inform me that the Appointment the Home Depot warranty company scheduled for Monday was no good and that someone would be out Wed, but he could not tell me when. He was rude and condescending from the beginning, then I had the nerve to question why the scheduling change and tell him it was difficult for me to take off, it would help if I had a better idea of when someone would be out. It only got worse from there. i ask why he kept on mentioning Home Depot and he said thats who i called. When i said i did not call Home Depot, he said i did not know what i was talking about. I did my best to remain calm and even ask why he was getting so upset, unfortunately that wad things worse. He then refused to come out at all.

Terrible service!!!!!! My elderly mother called them to fix her refrigerator and so far she has been without a refrigerator for 3 weeks and has spent over $500. They wont call you back, they are rude. Theyve been out twice and are still waiting on parts?? They put a new board in it and wouldnt let her keep the old one, she bought all new groceries just to have it go out the next day. It has been over a week now and she will have to get new groceries. Cant buy a new one when she has $500 invested in the old one. Still waiting!!!!!

Man was at our home, less than 10min to look at our ice maker. Said it needed a compressor and it would be over a $1000.00. Then charged $143.00 + $15.72 tax = $158.72 for just looking. Nice rip off for 10 min. I suggest not using this place for service calls!

My whirlpool washer that i just resently bought went out around april 12 2018 . I called the service department and said that it would be the following Wednesday before a service tech would come by to check it out. In the meantime I had to figure how to get the wet clothing out. So I have to miss work from 1100 to 100 to wait. After he arrives on Wednesday, he has to order parts for it. Know i have to wait and the take off work from 1100 to 100 again on that Wednesday. After the service tech arrives he puts the parts on then breaks another in the process. Of course he has to order part then it is on back order. So here it is May 9 2018 a few days from being a month without a washing machine and taking off again for the third time from 1100 to 100. No top priority here ...... still waiting. .... Only positive note it is under warranty and the washer was priced cheap.

Please DO NOT purchase from this company. It is not a dent or skent that makes it costly & much more expensive than reputable company. It is the internal instabilities of these products.MORE HORROR!!Referred -Twin Cities who quoted enormous repair cost with an even worst warranty. Apparently, replacement parts CAN NOT be new - 30 days for $650 quote!NOT WORTH IT!

I also suggest not using this place for repairs. Bought my washer with an extra 2 year warranty. They were supposed to show up today to look at it for the 4th time. Husband calls to get appt time, and we arent even on schedule for today. Find all this out after, I had rescheduled my daughters neurologist appt today. Had I known, TOM, was gonna give us the run around, she could have still went to her appt. Then Tom refuses to give me his name, bc hes made an error and cant fess up to it. He instead blames the representative that called him to schedule the appt for me. Knowing, the representative that called him has no access to his schedule to even give me an appt date or time. Then to top it off, Tom refused to help me at all, after hes jacked my stuff around. So if you want extra unorganized aggravation, Toms your man!
