Amazing food! They offer a variety of sandwiches, meat, and bbq. If you order anything I highly recommend getting their fries as a side. They cook them in beef tallow and have the best seasoning. Their menu is slightly different on the weekends. Make sure to come in early to get meats before they sell out. There are tables inside and they have a small variety of drinks to order! Highly recommend eating here!!!

This is probably One of the best places to go in Modesto for cuts of meat but their sandwiches are next level. The brisket sandwich melts in your mouth and all the burgers are top-notch. Even the salads are hardy and delicious. If you Have not had the opportunity to come here for lunch, you should definitely take the time. And while youre here, check out the great cuts of meat. You wont be disappointed

First off when a customer walks through the door all shop talk needs to stop and the customer needs to be acknowledged. Took a bit for someone to say hello. After the lady with the black hair stopped talking, she treated me as if I was inconveniencing her. Her personality was very abrupt and rude! I asked her if cheese comes on the sandwich and she flat said NO (end of sentence). She didn’t follow up with that they offer it but charge extra. I had to ask if I could get cheese? Her demeanor this whole time was very off putting and I really should have just walked out. She rang up the order and didn’t ask if I wanted anything to drink. I had to ask her. Everyone else I had interacted with treated me professionally. What’s disappointing is that I really enjoyed the food. Even though they charged me 1.50 for cheese and didn’t put it on. I will likely never go back for the way I was treated.

This place is absolutely one of the highlights of the entire Central Valley. The beef is incredible and for the quality of me that youre getting its reasonably priced. We get steaks from here at least once a week, but theyre baked beans are also some of the best baked beans I have ever had in my life (also stellar french fries)

Shared a tri-tip sandwich and garlic fries with my GF after enjoying graffiti car show activities and was impressed with the quality of both items. Nice quantity of meat on a nice toasted bread served with bbq sauce on the side. The fries were golden brown and garlicky but not overwhelming. Enjoyed sitting inside and eyeballing the assorted meats and sausages in the case. Service was quick and friendly and adequately priced.

Got a couple of bone in rib eyes that were dry aged. Grilled up really nice, excellent tender meat.

I have never in my life had a BLT that made me immediately want another. The fries paired with it just makes me salivate at the thought of having them again. Great people and great food. Go when you can.

This place is incredible! They do it all. Amazing lunch sandwiches (some of the best French fries around), pre-order special meats and custom cuts for holidays (they helped me pick out a specialized cut of beef for our Easter roast), and made catering easy for BBQ party! I placed an order to be picked up at 12:00 noon today. I arrived at 12:05 and notified the lady working the cashier on 3 separate occasions that I was here to pick up an order. By the time they were done with the order it was 12:40pm. There was no apology given or anything else said. I was truly disappointed with the entire service and especially seeing their prices are very high.

I was so excited to go here. I pass by this place at least twice a week. This was 1st time in the shop only to wait 10 minutes (and the only person in the shop) just to get past up by another lady who had just walked in the door. The Butcher/worker did not even acknowledge me in any way.. you lost a customer that easy. Im giving 2 stars because the meats look so good. But you customer service is a 0.

Very nice informed staff. Sandwich was on point; good bread, topping and meats. They have these beans! Bruh get the beans! Wish they had some sort of cornbread side for dem beans. They are a legit butcher shop as well. Great local business worth supporting.

I ordered a Carolina style bbq sandwich with potato salad. I was born and raised in North Carolina and have eaten all the styles of bbq in North and South Carolina. The bbq sandwich I eat was by far the worst bbq I have ever put in my mouth. Where is the Carolina style in the bbq?Dont even get me started on the bbq sauce, Im glad I had them put it on the side (I was given two types) I couldnt even stand the smell of them. I added red pepper and vinegar to the sandwich for some moisture and spice.The potato salad was tasteless.I only gave it one star because my friend ordered a burger and she said it was good.I will come back to try the French fries and burgers.

I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with slaw on the side, side of beans, side of potato salad. Got order delivered to hotel, open it up, slaw was on the side, no bbq sauce at all on my bbq sandwich, no utensils, no napkins. Called to ask where it was, said they don’t put bbq sauce on their sandwiches, and they are busy. Usually they ask if you want sauce, I wasn’t asked, on the site at all. So I have a dry af sandwich with no utensils. Customer service is horrible. I travel to Modesto every week for my job, and I have to eat out. Please take care of your customers, I take care of small businesses!

I apologize for not realizing that this was a custom butcher shop, Im not sure that I will shop anywhere else. I absolutely know that I will no longer by my pork belly from anywhere else but this.I pre-ordered a pork belly, and after they asked me a couple of questions I held up the operation for about 20 minutes while they customize my order at no additional cost.I know my meat, I will not shop anywhere else.

Amazing customer service! Great quality meat! Worth every penny! The staff members answered my many questions and I never felt as if I was bugging them, they were happy to help! I will be coming back to buy more meat and try their deli sandwiches!

We got the tri tip and pulled pork dinner for two. It easily would feed four. The tri tip was perfectly cooked, the pork was excellent and the sides were all great. Very impressed!

What a great butcher shop. Call ahead and order what you want and they will source it. They also make some mean sandwiches for lunch. Nice selection of dry aged beef.

We visit this place all the time. They have excellent choices for beef, poultry, lamb, pork, and usually seafood. Customer service is terrific, they will cut more of whatever you want if they dont have it on display. The sausages are amazing. They also sell BBQ and deli style sandwiches which are delicious as well.

So we have heard about this place but never attended before. I know what used to be there and to be very blunt it looks shabby. This new butcher shoppe / sandwich shop is a complete overhaul. Their food was amazing and their meat was very flavorful and not dry. You can go in there and buy fresh meats and cheeses. I would like to see more flavors of sausage like Wolfsens does out in gustine but the store is new and they are a great place with great food. We will definitely be coming back again to try another fresh sandwich.

Awesome, awesome place. Ive purchased beef at least four times already and each time I have been very happy with the quality and freshness. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and willing to answer any questions you may have. Just the kind of shop Ive always hoped for in Modesto!

Great meat but they are not enforcing the mask law so I wont go back until the numbers are better and the masks are not needed. 2 out of the 5 of us inside, did not have a mask on. The people working do.

Absolutely amazing. I had the brisket sandwich, and the brisket was really well smoked. My wife had the hamburger and it was just about the juiciest most perfectly cooked burger I have ever seen come out of a restaurant.We also got a few of their breakfast sausage patties. The flavor is amazing. I have never had breakfast sausage like that.We will be back.

Who knew ground beef could be so amazing!! Dry aged beef is the bomb. Every bite is so delicious. Deli sandwiches and salads are great too.

The burger here is DELICIOUS!! Potato salad was yummy, too! The employees are polite and patient, not to mention friendly! HIGHLY recommend! Looking forward to coming back in for a sandwich, too!

Ordered the pulled pork on a FRESH bun comes out naked, 3 types of bbq sauces,on the table. the pulled pork was very generous and TASTY.potatoe salad small red potatoes good not to much mayo needed a little salt. I will definitely come back for some of their meat beautiful cuts.. and another sandwich

Have purchased meat (tri-tip, sausage, ribeye, other steaks) here on multiple occasions and the quality, freshness, and service has been fantastic each time. Always has a great selection with new products each time, but the staple products always seem to be present as well.

I recommend the aged burger. Past that, Im sceptical

I think it is not worth it for the price you pay. I got 2 sandwiches. $12 each. Pretty bland, the bbq sauce had a weird texture... The beef jerky is dry. Wont be back.

This place is well stocked, impressively staffed, and fairly priced. You won’t find a better option in Modesto.
