First time visiting this cute little coffee house today and I will definitely be going back. The gentleman working the counter was extremely welcoming and helpful. He gave us the whole spill about the menu and graciously bumped up our coffee sizes to accommodate the leftovers. The breakfast burritos and breakfast bowls were simple but really tasty. Both the inside/outside of the shop are so cute and comfy. The garden is stunning and the woman working in the garden was so sweet she gave us cuttings of some beautiful purple plants. We enjoyed our time here, 12/10. :)

My girl @_____was there for an outdoor sales event Hosted by The Funky Bunch. The host were great along with their mocha and smoothie. The costumes were fun, especially the little ones that came through with their parents.All guidelines were enforced.Lovely place all around.Youre gonna love the banjo players. Ask about the banjos west African origins.

Probably the cutest coffee house I’ve ever been to. Everyone is a friendly morning person and the man in front of me even bought me coffee. The best morning I’ve had in a very long time and a wonderful way to start the new year, thank you so much!

Gorgeous, homey, chill, great coffee, good food. They have nights with different themes for a relaxed outdoor experience.I met my kid today for coffee and conversation. We reminisced about all the memories weve had here.

What a little gem! Came in for coffee and chat time with my sister and friend. The chai latte is like a warm cup of heaven...WOW! Sylvia is such a sweet lady and she can really do magic with the food and drink there. I ordered the breakfast bowl, its like the burrito but no tortilla, it was delicious. I added avocado to mine in addition to the choice of bacon. Perfect temperature, cook on everything and flavorful. Come sqitha side if salsa verde. The atmosphere is so welcoming and you feel very comfortable like if you were having breakfast at home with friends.I highly recommend Queen Bean and now know why my sister raves about it. Looking forward to coming back again and often.

Charming coffee shop. People inside were friendly and really cared and guided us through their drinks menu. My wife and I had coffee drinks and shared a bacon/avocado burrito. It was a great change from the overpriced big name chains.Great place to sit, drink and enjoy a break from everyday life.

Beautiful scenery outside in yhe front and the back porch. As well as lovely decorations. The workers were very friendly and sociable! I really appreciated their service. The iced coffee I had was great!! Customer service was above and beyond.

Nice little coffee shop. Friendly staff. More expensive than Starbucks but seems like the options are more delicious so its worth the price you end up paying...I got the 16 oz Azteca cafe. Very yummy! Recommend that option.Go check them out and judge for yourself...

Just stopped by before Vet parade. Had mocha and a latte. Nice converted cafe. Just like sitting at home. The barista was very busy, but efficient and kind. Not expected that many customers at once before the parade she mentioned. Anyway, I will have to stop by for breakfast sometime. But for now I give it a thumbs up for the hot drinks.

Love this place. There are 2 ladies, the taller white lady is sweet and understanding. Hispanic lady needs to work on people skills. We study here often and she made a remark to one of us.

Been meaning to check this place out and finally got a chance. I realized Ive driven by it so many times because it looks like a house, and without paying attention Ive never seen the sign there. Walking in felt a bit awkward - quiet and no greetings from the two people working. Ordered a latte, which was made pretty quickly and tasted fine. However they charge you a fee to use a card for payments under $5, which I am not a fan of (bring some cash if coming here). The best part about this place is the outdoor seating with the fountains and the relaxing surroundings, but even that could do with some tidying up if Im being honest.

Love this place. So glad a friend told me and my boyfriend about this place.

Tired and hungry from a volunteer job, four of us tried out Queen Bean for the first time. Wonderful experience. Our sandwiches were made with loving care. Were guys, so atmosphere isnt a big deal, but it was like relaxing in the front room of an old hotel. Everything was great and reasonably priced. Will definitely bring our ladies back for a re-do.

One of my favorite places of all time! Staff are kind and the open mic is the best. I got my start playing music there years back.

This is a quirky and eclectic little cafe that serves flavored coffee, espresso, and blended frozen beverages, and sandwiches. Lots of outdoor seating with a few tables and upholstered couches and chairs inside.

Ive been here twice. First time was a dream! Got a mocha and a ceaser salad. Tasted excellent best ceaser Ive had to date! But unfortunately on my second occasion I did find blue mold in the parmesan cheese of my salad which I was willing to over look. Only until I found a squished dead gnat on a piece of lettuce in my salad. I was absolutely disgusted and really disappointed to say the least.

This place is such a cute little gem! It’s so beautiful on the inside and the outside has a lot of character too! So much space for people to chill and have conversations, lots of greenery, really a nice quaint place and I love it!

Love the Bean always an epic experience

Went here a few times to study, once to meet a friend (pre-corona) and they kicked us out for having one outside drink from a starbucks, all the while there was a table of 6 that all brought in their own drink AND food and they were not even bothered. Seemed they really didnt care about new customers at all.

The Queen Bean will always hold a special place in my heart. I moved back to CA after being gone for 5 years and the Bean was the place I met many of my new found friends. I appreciate that they support local art and music. I held a few charitable events here and the staff was helpful and accommodating. The staff works hard to maintain a space that welcomes anyone from all walks of life to chill, connect, and sip some coffee.

I really wanted to love this place. The building is adorable and I love the outdoor area. But everything inside was, for lack of a better word, dingy. Not the normal things, like Im sure they wiped off tables and the dishes were clean and all that, but every other surface just needed a good wipe - down, everything from the walls to the table and chair legs . You know how finger print smudges will build up around a light switch from people feeling around for the switch? Imagine that area not being wiped off for years. And then imagine that every surface looks like that, not just the light switches . Thats the best way I can describe this place. I think if they just took the time to deep clean and get rid of that overall grimy feel to the place, I would have given it five stars. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly.

I have played here at their outside open mic on some Sunday evenings and it has an eclectic atmosphere. It gets busy but the people watching in the audience really let their appreciation be known to the performers. Its fun. Kind of in a bad area but the place itself is nicely surrounded in its pretty and quaint decor. There are lots of pretty little flowers.

Not impressed. Run down building. Dirty messy outside the building. Breakfast sandwich had microwaved eggs and meat. I could have got a better microwaved sandwich at any fast food restaurant for half the price. No grill was used. Busy morning time with one worker taking orders making drinks and food. Homeless person coughing up a lung chilling inside beside me while I’m trying to eat. Will never be back. Very confused how this place has 4.5 stars. Girl working that others have mentioned with short hair and tattoos has attitude, audible sighs in front of customers. My advice is to cut out the breakfast food all together if it is all microwaved for $6 a sandwich. What’s the point ?

This is a no frills coffee shop, nice ambient. My go-to is the clubhouse mocha (iced) quick and friendly service and in a convenient location. Really good coffee, would recommend.

They have open mic night on the weekends. Anyone can sign in at 6 pm and perform their act. Nice atmosphere on the outside deck. Very welcoming, live interaction between performers and audience.

I have been coming to the Queen Bean since I was in high school. I remember back then it used to be a little better they had fire pits and stuff like that. But now I dont even know what their business hours are. You look online it says nine you go there they say a I dont know somebody needs update stuff. If they would update stuff maybe repaint the outside make it look a little fresh I would probably go more. If it had more lights made it look a little magical that would be an awesome

10 Stars! The best staff ever, great coffee, drinks and food. Super venue for all types of music and all types of occasions, whether its a baby shower or a wedding. Atmosphere is everything there. . . So comfortable and welcoming. We just love it there!

Today was a challenge at Queen Bean. I tried ordering coffee inside twice but was unable to as I waited for an attendant for several minutes but no one came. It seemed they had an event outside in the back patio. I was able to order my drink and the staff said theyd bring out to me, but about 15 minutes went by with no drink. I found my drink inside on the counter. Othewise, my study session on the front patio was pleasant listening to the water fountain and enjoying the fall weather.

Good service. Good food. And, most importantly, good coffee.

The Queen Bean is a real coffee house. It has a unique and cozy atmosphere in an old Victorian house. The drinks are well made and the staff/owners are friendly and welcoming. In nicer weather, its patio is a great place to cool off and chill out. Take a break from the mass market place and come to see what a genuine coffee house is like.

I love this place. My parents used to take me and my siblings when we were little to listen to the bands that played there. It is so cozy and homey and the food and coffee is delicious (Seriously try the sandwiches). All my experiences with the Queen Bean have been outstandingly positive. They also have open mic nights and poetry nights which are so fun.

Went 9n a Sunday night. They had open Mike night just incredible seeing the different people and talent. Place has amazing coffee and sandwiches . Everyone super friendly and open till 10

The Queen Bean Coffee House was a wonderful surprise. Just driving by, I thought we had missed the place because someone took a quaint house and turned it into a coffee house/music hall. Inside are a few places to sit but the best places are outside with plenty of shade. Great sandwiches and coffee. Great service and a wonderful place to visit.

Love Wis place. Then make the best Variety of flavors of coffee that I ever had. It has a really chill vibe a really fun place to hang out. Every Sunday is open mic night and the first Tuesday of the month is poetry, if you go to either you will not be disappointed. Its a cool place with great people.

The best coffee shop in town hands down. Every staff member here is so fun to talk to and they make your drink with the love and care of a friend or family member. The building itself as well as the grounds are charming and beautiful and if you are by yourself or with friends it is even more enjoyable. The coffee and tea is definitely the big ticket item here, everything Ive had has been wonderful, even things I dont usually like. The food is also great, focusing on things that complement their coffee mostly. The same price as Starbucks and ten times better, if you live in Modesto and have never been do yourself a favor and go as soon as you can to experience this hidden gem.

OMG this place is just lovely. I recently had my baby shower there. The area was outside but it had a real home feel with couch,cute Lil piano, its was a set up for me an my husband to sit with cute wine glasses I thought thats was supper nice of them. No issues at all with anything. Beth was very helpful with arranging dates and getting us in at reasonable price.They were all so helpful and patient with the kids we had there I thank them.Oh yes also delicious cinnamon roll😍

The space was really comfortable to hang out in. The coffee was awesome and what a beautiful building and courtyard. I noticed the backyard and explored on the way out. It looks like they might do something like poetry slams? It was a nice experience being in a real cafe environment again as opposed to the hustle of the fast foody cafe chains.

This beautiful little coffee house is cozily tucked into a lovely lush garden. From the moment I spotted it, to when I first walked in, to when I walked into the back garden area, to the moment I left, I felt such an overwhelming sense of peace and hospitality. Every single thing about this place was just so welcoming. During my visit I had a double espresso and a pistachio muffin, both of which were impressive. I almost dont want to recommend this place to anyone just so that I can keep this wonderful little place to myself.

Lovely coffee house, warm, beautiful. The service was over the top! Sylvia and Jamie work well together and made me laugh as I was watching them. They were very kind to help me out with some special dietary needs. The coffee is organic and they have non dairy options. There are many fine options for food and a variety of drinks. The outdoor area is gorgeous and the indoor area is cozy and just what one would imagine: a laid back down to earth space for deep conversations and fun. I was pleasantly surprised and I will definitely be back with family and friends.

This small, quite, little haven is just amazing. The coffee and food are great, not to mention the people who hang out here are so...mellow and smooth. They have open mic nights on the weekends and some pretty live people come and enlighten a pretty cool audience.
