I had to return an item and had no hassles with this at this store. Also was pleased with help and good advice from associate Gavin. He answered simple but important questions for me about a future purchase I will be making. Took the time to help, in a friendly way. He is a credit to this store.
I was impressed with them as being a large company so I trusted they would be professional with car audio accessories, was I ever wrong. I purchased a Unit and they installed it and I picked up my car, stereo worked fine. I realized heater was on and unable to turn off when I really need air conditioning as it was 90 degrees outside. They told me to schedule a appointment to look at what to fix and that was 2 weeks away. I took it back and they said an additional $300 conversion kit was necessary from Metra. Before deciding I looked online to confirm there decision only to find the forums and other professional car audio this unit is not compatible with my factory navigation DVD ROM which is ALPINE. I had to send in my $4000 ALPINE unit to be repaired as they blew out a circuit board inside of it at a cost of $495.00. Best Buy refuses to call me or email me back and continues saying it is my fault. I would be happy to be reimbursed but without a LAWSUIT it will not happen. Also damage to navigation screen was when I received my car back as seen in photo. I will do all my business elsewhere

In July of 2021 I made an appointment with Mr. Matthew to have car stereo installed at the Modesto Best Buy. He was very friendly and professional. Finally, the day of the installation came around. On the 7th of August Mr. Derrick was working the car stereo department. When I arrived he was helping two gentlemen. So I waited patiently for my turn. While I was waiting for him to finish another stereo caught my eye. Mr. Derrick finished with the two gentlemen and unfortunately did not get a sale. Instead of asking me if I needed help or if I had any questions he walked past me and into the installation bay. As I approached the door the sign on it said please wait here for assistance. I waited for over ten minutes at the door. It wasnt until another salesperson from another department came over to check on me. Im not to sure about Mr. Derrick, but when I worked retail I approached all customers and asked if they had been helped or had any questions. Lucky for you Mr. Derrick I dont work for the corporate office.
Went to return a monitor that was DoA. They claimed I broke it, which I did not. There were no visible marks on the screen. It simply didnt turn on when I put it together. But the service manager accused me of breaking it. Ive put together tons of electronics over the years. I know my stuff. But this lady probably gets bonuses based on a ratio of returned items/overall revenue.Guess what? Tracys service manager took the return with no grief. Modestos branch has greedy, trash management. Just go to Tracy instead.

Went to Best Buy tonight to buy home security cameras and when going to check out the cashier was just on her phone. She finally put it down and greeted us to the counter. But during the whole transaction she was texting on her phone. Bad customer service.

Was able to purchase my daughter the laptop she wanted, and the manager honored a price quote that was given to us prior to our purchase.
Was looking for a new galaxy tablet but there were only three but no prices. Finally got a girl and she said thats all that they have because they they are going set a new display with the new ones. We asked when are they going to set the display out and sh said she doesnt know. All this time she is still looking up the prices on the ones that were there. By the time we decided that we should come back at later date. You would think they would of tried harder for prices and maybe ask someone else if they new more about the new display coming. So then we were looking for phone holders for the car but went through three people to help and not one of them knew much and needless to say we didnt get any phone holders or customer service. We have been going to this store since they first opened and never had an epic failure all around. We will go back but I hope they get some training or maybe associates that enjoy having and doing there job

I ordered a printer online and picked it up at the store. Very easy process. They emailed me when the printer was ready for pick up. I drove to the store, and I showed them my government ID and the email on my phone. This is a smart way to do this, so no one else can claim to be me and steal my purchase.In the store, everyone was wearing masks. The employees were wiping down devices with cleaning spray. Its great to see that Best Buy cares about their customers and safety.We were walking around, and Best Buy had a lot of deals all around. I always trust Best Buy for big purchases.

My service animal wasnt feeling well and went in the store. As I was very concerned for my animal, a bald white employee (I didnt catch his name) told me to leave the store VERY RUDELY. He completely misread the situation, and didnt show my sick animal any compassion. My animal is obviously trained and would never do that on purpose, but he said if the dog is gonna make a mess in the store the dog cant be in here! I completely understand so I leave. However the situation couldve been treated with a little more respect towards my animal. As we left the store she was still hyperventilating because he scared her in the middle of her not feeling well. Thankfully another employee came and cleaned the mess, but she was much more comprehensive and wished my dog to feel better.

Im always happy when I get great service even if I dont get the product Im looking for .It was early the store just opened and it seemed that all staff on the floor was quickly taken by customers. I found one staff member stocking merchandise . I asked her if she could point me in the direction of the item I was searching for, without hesitation stopped what she was doing and actually escorted me to where the item would be . I bought refrigerator 2019 from Best Buy with service plan geek squad after 8 months my refrigerator has a lot of problems and all the time since that time they not able to come fix it and they not exchange my refrigerator and all the time makes Excuse . Just Lose the money for geek squad.

I question their one phone sales person wanted to charge me. Not a person for business, Very rude man hell loose my business and also in the future.
I ordered some stuff online to pick up at the store. Best Buy sent an email when it was ready and how to use the app and get an employee to bring it out to me in the parking lot. I arrived and parked in the correct row then started the app to let them know where I was parked.I brought a book to read as they said it would take about 30 to 40 minutes. (I highly recommend bringing a book to pass the time. ) After about 35 minutes an employee stopped by the car to get the code from the app on my phone. After another 5 minutes or so he arrived with my items. The pickup row was very full so timing is everything.All in all the experience was quite good. Id rather wait in my car than stand in line. I do recommend the app and outside pickup when you can.

I came looking for headphones to try and listen to them. I wasnt sure what headphones to buy, but an employee told me about the battery life and the features that these Sony headphones they had on display. He helped me compare the prices and quality between the Sonys and other similar pairs of headphones. I ended up buying the pair of Sonys and they been the best overall pair of headphones Ive ever bought. The customer service is top-notch and the products are all high quality at respectable prices. Would definitely recommend to buy any electronics or if you arent knowledgeable in electronics, but know what youre looking for.

This location had a large variety of floor models. We visited the Riverbank location first and nothing really caught our eye. We then ended up near the Sisk RD location and figured wed take another look since we were near by. We found the perfect size, color and price range we were looking for. Glad we decided to check out this location as well.

One of best experiences Ive had at a store. Adam was the main reason for our great experience. He helped us during a very busy period. We assisted us with purchasing Nintendo switch remotes and games. Offered advice on which games to get for multi-player fun. After that he showed us how we can expand our wifi throughout the entire house. I probably would have bought anything Adam suggested due to his sincerity. Will be going back for sure.

Customer service experience was less than desired at the Geek squad desk. Today we took in a computer that was purchased for a December gift. The associate diagnosed the issue as a failing hard drive. The proposed solve was over $200 to fix an item that is less than 3 months old. I will be contacting the manufacturer directly to see if they will stand behind a new product.In the long run purchasing products directly through the manufacturing or Amazon service will be the future. My purchase expectation through a retail operation expectation is customer service and support. In this case they are looking to cash in on excessive charges on new equipment repairs. In the future I will use this outlet as a showroom prior to online purchase.

Talk about customer service, this store does not have it. Bought a wireless pro Logitech mouse and walked outside opened it and come to find out it was a open box that someone replaced their mouse with. The customer service was non existent to help and I had to call corporate customer service to get anyone to do there job. After that they decided that it actually was their fault and let me get a refund. How nice of them to let me get a refund on an item that was stolen. The supervisor of the customer service area a short lady with a pink mask is incompetent of her job and should be replaced, especially when there is multiple 1 star reviews because of customer service. I will now drive to riverbank if I need anything from BestBuy.
Was looking for a Home Theater and this was the only store with the specific model which I was looking was. After couple hours of commute they had missing speakers and remote in the Home Theater which they were trying to sell me for regular price. Really cheap trick, never expected this behavior from a store like Best Buy. Wasted 4 hours of commute time and gas and returned the item right away in the store. Would never ever shop in this is cheap unethical store again.

This is not even a professional installation they could not even put the washer and dryer in correctly so they just left them like that now I have to pay someone else to do it right this is totally not right as the installation was done wrong just because it was a free install they needed to take the time to get it done the right way i will never again buy from this company as for the customer service is horrible and they dont care about the customer only just as long as they get paid this company is just looking to make money on you and the service is bad i suggest you shop elsewhere for your wants dont buy here you will be disappointed with there service

Very busy store so you may have to wait a bit before the staff can help. However, the staff is very polite, friendly, and many of them speak Spanish fluently. The store is a bit smaller than other branches but surprisingly are well stocked. If you dont find it on a self be sure to ask as they may have it stored in the back.

This best buy is pretty good. I have visited several times to buy monitors, laptops, cameras, headphones, all kinds of stuff. I opened a best buy card recently and its been a pretty smooth process. The ONLY issue I came across on my most recent visit is their inventory. I assume its more than likely due to school starting, but I would prefer this best buy over others I have visited in the past.
Store is organized and clean .I went there last Friday night with a girlfriend and she put headed a digital tape recorder.It was not in its original container. It was however $4 dollars cheaper .She got it home and it does not work. She is unable to locate her recrit, but I told her to take it back to them anyway. Speak to a manager. She is in the process as we speak. I believe Best Buy Id honorable and do the right thing and give her a new one. They are into customer service and arent going to squabble over a $34 tape recorder.
Geek squad calls me every day, before store business hours, they arent open until 10am and they call at 8am every day to harass me to pick up an item. Dont call before store is even open. I see u and I raise the geek squad one more, i refuse to answer ur calls until you call during actual store operating for public hours.

They never answer the phone. I waited over 20 minutes to ask a question that would have taken 1 minute to answer. It seems like they want their website to answer all the customers questions.Good advice: have an operator to handle the easy questions and then transfer the tough ones to your geek squad. It seems like you have a long way to learn customer service. I hope the advice serves you well.

Geek Squad wasn’t aware of the pricing of their competitor (apple) for fixing a screen and was quoting pricing much larger than the Apple store 4 minutes away. Service was very slow even though I had an appointment.
Store was a bit busier than expected but the item we wanted was found easily. Got to skip the line up front and check out it electronics. Perfect shopping trip.
