Beware!!! I paid to have my transmission fixed at this location which was very expensive, and it took 4 months and still counting to be resolved. I am currently working with the corporate office and an attorney to resolve this matter. In short, they cannot accurately diagnose the problem with my transmission and will blame it on any and every thing to escape responsibility after they have taken your money. Chad (manager) is unprofessional and does not care about his customers or the quality of work that comes from his shop. If you ask too many that may concern you, Chad will get frustrated and call the police to file trespassing charges instead of resolving the issue amicably.Part 2 - In response to management response:I have video footage. Which I will forward over to your corporate office. Your statements here are false. The video time stamp is 5:56 pm when the police arrived. Your store hours ends at 6pm. Therefore, It was not after hours. In addition, I did not block employees nor did I refuse to leave. You wanted me to accept your mixed answers, grew frustrated and called the police. You fail to mentioned that you replaced the torque converter after 5 rounds of repairs which is not an electrical component. I did not force you to repair my car. You gave me a quote, I paid you and you could not execute on your repairs after 4 months.

Great customer service big o is great,Well not so great work truck vibrates really bad, when sitting in drive. There is an exhaust leak from where they took it apart.and its still shifting very hard like it was before It broke. But they say drop it off to them I guess another 2-3 weeks no truck.

This location is what you call dishonest and ignorant. They tried to charge me 1100 bucks to do an internal inspection and promised it would go towards the repair. I took the vehicle to another mechanic who was honest and he showed me that one of my axles came out and thats why the car wouldnt drive. I recommend you go somewhere else other than this place. People dont want to spend their money with dishonest folks . Owner your business will go underneath if your employees continue this behavior.

I called Big O and told him my car symptoms. He was able to tell me exactly what the issue was. I had never been there or met him but he sent me a tow truck on request. Within 24 hours, he confirmed the diagnosis and looked for an even more cost effective repair option. When it wasnt going to work, he called back to let me know before proceeding. It was ready for pick up less than 24 hours later. GREAT Service and the location in set up for safety and social distancing. Best experience, ever!

Mixed message about repairs, price gauging. I actually was recovering from COVID-19 (first responders) and I still had to come up with an additional 850.00 for something that wasn’t caught from the first diagnostics. I only gave the 1 star because it wouldn’t let me submit. I’ll take my business somewhere else.

I started using AAMCO from an number of different repairs to my car. I took it in for a transmission change a while back and the service at this location is outstanding. Not only the young gentleman behind the counter, but the mechanics as well. They spoke to me as if we were standing in my driveway looking at my car. My rebuilt transmission wasnt functioning properly. Big Os team diagnosed the problem; the shop that installed the transmission intentionally disabled part of the function to keep from having to replace the unit they installed. AAMCO replaced the incompatible parts and my truck accelerates and downshifts fluidly. I plan to drive it another 20 years. Hindsight: I called AAMCO when shopping for the rebuild. I should have chosen them then.

I called the shop before going and the service was excellent!!!! He explained everything i need to know very detail. They for sure know what they are talking about and know what to do. Service and knowledge is why I’m giving them a 5 star! I will take it next time for my next teams fluid exchange.

They STOLE ALL 4 TIRES off my car and wanted me to BUY 4 new tires with a tire company they work with. **LEAVE YOUR CAR HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! When I asked why am I responsible for buying new tires when they were stolen under their supervision, they said THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT HAPPENS TO THE CAR ON THEIR LOT. Big O and the crew are awesome! I came to the shop to find out if my car was having transmission problems. I set an early morning appointment and there was no wait upon arriving for the service. They wanted to know as many details as possible to properly diagnose the issue. They test drove the car while I was in the passenger seat so I could explain the issues that I had been experiencing and afterwards took a sample of the transmission fluid. They showed me the fluid in person and gave me other suggestions to fix as to why my car was acting the way it was. All of that was done for no charge! Man, what can I say about these guys. All in all they are awesome. Brought my car in with the engine light on, they were excellent with communication and explained everything in detail. They made sure I was very comfortable through the whole process and treated my car with care as they fixed it. They have gone out of their way to make sure I am happy. Will be using again.

AAMCO is amazing. They are an honest company and they are extremely knowledgeable. I have a Volkwagen Jetta 2012 that was experiencing transmission problems. I brought my car to 2 different shops before AAMCO - both told me to just replace the transmission ($2,300 quote). I didnt feel that replacing my transmission was necessary.. the car was driving fine.. so I brought it to Biggo - the agent for AAMCO - and told him the situation. He did a full analysis and turns out I had a carbon build -up and it was a merely $179 fix. He actually took the time to diagnose the real problem, and saved me hundreds of dollars. He could have easily told me the same thing as the others (as I already disclosed to him when I brought the car in that they advised I replace the transmission). Instead, he took the time to discover the real problem and did honest business. If you have an issue with your car - go to AAMCO and ask for Biggo. I promise you will not regret it!

We were out visiting friends over the holiday season when our 04 Chevy Trailblazer decided not to change gears and died. Being a distance from home and having never had to deal with this before, we really werent sure how to proceed. So we relied on what we could find near by and the reviews we found on google. We are so glad we did!! When we called, we spoke to the manager, Greg. After describing the problem, he arranged for a wrecker and a tow to get us to the shop. He quickly dealt with some ongoing issues and then got right to us. He described what he thought it sounded like, and he was right. It was NOT time to replace the transmission. The job was actually going to run us about 10% of what we thought we might be facing! Talk about a great way to start the new year. The place is clean, there was coffee available, a clean restroom and very friendly service!Had we been able to drive it home that night would have made this an EXCELLENT visit, but in all fairness, we didnt get there until after three on New Years Eve.

This was my first experience with AAMCO, but it will not be my last. Big ‘O’ and his team are amazing. They took a couple days to troubleshoot my car problems. During this time, they tried to work with AutoZone for parts, checking for warranties. Unfortunately, my parts were not under warranty. Therefore I took them the parts, they installed, and they resumed troubleshooting. All the while, nothing was charged to me…… No other shop I know will install parts for you without a charge. The same occurred when they informed me that my drum shoes needed to be replaced. I had the shoes, but had not replaced them… They took my shoes and installed them for free. The service is AMAZING, the prices are fair and they only charge for what is agreed upon by them and you. Not to mention the amount of work they will do for free (related to the ongoing work) while working on your vehicle. I highly recommend this AAMCO location to anyone. This recommendation is based on the customer service and quality of service. I have never had a better experience at a service center.

There are not enough good things I can say about Big-O and his crew there at AAMCO in Missouri City. I have taken my truck there for everything from an oil change, to brakes, to a complete tune-up.My truck was having some misfiring trouble and I took it to Helfman Ford in Sugar Land since this is where I purchased the vehicle some years back. I was discouraged to find out that I needed a new engine and this was probably not worth doing to my 05 F-150. They were encouraging me to go ahead and trade the truck in and look for another vehicle to take home since the cost of the engine was very high.I took my F-150 to AAMCO because I remember having a great experience there with a rebuild of my older 01 Dodge Ram transmission. Upon dropping my truck off, Big-O let me know that they would contact me before any work was done. A couple hours later he informed that a simple tune-up would do the job, and you better believe thats all the truck needed to get back up to where it was.I appreciated their honesty so much that I have since taken my truck here for brakes and rotors, and an oil change. While I was there for the brake change, I had informed Big-O that i was smelling gas every now and then through the A/C, after the tune up. He informed me that it was most likely a spark plug that was a little off of torque from the tune-up. New brakes, and tune-up, and the F-150 is running like a beauty. Big-O even made sure to call three days after the work was done to make sure the breaks felt good and the smell of gas was gone.An absolutely great experience. A++++ shop.

These folks are the best! I called for an appointment because theyre always busy (theyre that good!). When I got there I was greeted by Big O. He and his staff were great. I needed to get a fluid exchange and a new filter. I thought Id be there for a while so I went to a restaurant for breakfast. I came back within an hour and shortly after I got back they were done.Heres the part that impressed me the most. No BS! They didnt give me a song and dance about all the things I needed to make it work properly, didnt try to tack on charges that make no sense, and gave me the best service Ive ever gotten from any automotive shop. The price was even impressive at $129.00 out the door. Tax included! Other places I checked wanted up to the neighborhood of $400.00 for the same service. Some not even including the filter. I have over 130,000 miles on my SUV and they told the truth about nothing being wrong with the transmission but that I could use a tune-up. Thats it. Another lady was there and found out that some work done by another shop used parts from a salvage yard in her transmission. Again truth! They didnt try to sell her things she didnt need, just told her the situation and the alternatives so she could make up her own mind about what would work best for her. Bottom line, if you need transmission service whether minor or serious, Big O and his guys will give you the best at the best price. Their location is a little awkward though. Theyre on Hwy 6 but its kinda behind the Enterprise Rental Car place. Its worth the trip.

Left car for quote. Website and store says open till 12pm on Saturday. Been calling store since 11am, no answer. Arrive at store 11:30am and completely closed. No one is here. Wanted to tow my car to another shop but now I cant till Monday. Completely unprofessional, if your closing early why not inform the people that you have their car your are leaving. Wont be bringing anything back here.

Great and fast service with our transmission problems. I have had two transmissions repaired there now. Both times I was informed about what was wrong, how long it would take and the cost. Big O kept me updated with their progress with the repairs. He also checked to see if everything was still working good with the transmission a couple weeks after repairs was completed.I would definitely recommend them and will use them again if needed!

My 2005 Explorer transmission went out and had to have it replaced. Big O and Mike were great after determining what was wrong they put in a new transmission. Well I must say, I have not had this kind of customer service in 10 years. This place is fantastic. Not only do they do the job right, but Big O and his team go above and beyond to make sure the customer is taken care of and delighted. Forget being satisfied, that word means nothing to this team and place of business. The go well above that. I brought my car to them (it had to be towed) because of work another place did incorrectly. They fixed the problem quickly and explained what they did every step of the way. I had to bring it back weeks later for a leak, and they fixed that the same day...worked me in. I am going nowhere else, this place is does great work, are very respectful and kind, and they understand completely what customer service means....a rare find these days.

This place is great! Ive done as much work on my vehicles as I can because its hard to trust mechanics, but not here I trust them. Most talk down to you and try to add to my work, but not these guys. They are open, honest, and very informative. I will be a loyal customer now. They go out of their way to help you and even answer questions.

The folks (Big O and Mike) are honest and professional. Went to check transmission after a dealer’s shop told my car needed to change the entire transmission for $5000. Mike checked and only found a fluid leak, which caused the transmission solenoids not working properly. After fixed the leak, everything went back to normal. A simple fix saved thousands of dollars. Our 2005 Honda Accords transmission went out while driving on the freeway. Thank God we did not wreck. It was towed to the AAMCO location in Missouri City Texas. Our transmission was severely damaged and this was a rare happening. However, we were left at ease to know that AAMCO said it was repairable and they would have the car up and running under what the wrecker guy and Honda said it would cost.Their service is excellent and their staff is phenomenal. Our car is up and running. Then unfortunately, our other 07 Honda Accord had the same issue. It is currently being repaired by the same crew at this location. I would trust no other for they know what to do and do not misquote.My opinion of Honda should be left for lawyers as this issue with Accords is a widespread problem

First came to this location 2 and a half years ago when I needed a new transmission. The customer service here is wonderful. Big O is honest, friendly, and patient. Never had a problem out of these guys and I totally trust their work.

Wow....Just Wow!! My son had a headlight out and I had zero time to deal with this problem. I called Big O who had recently put in a transmission in another one of our trucks. He said bring it on by and I was there within a half hour. He personally went out and replaced the bulb and then cleaned the headlight that was fuzzy!! The charge for this amazing and unbelievable customer service???? Absolutely zero.....he did not charge me a penny. I am so grateful to have found these awesome mechanics and will undoubtably be back again and again because they are amazing and I have a lot of cars!!!

I would highly recommend AAMCO in Missouri City. I have used AAMCO numerous times for various car repairs on my 2001 Oldsmobile Alero. I first went here based on its location to my work, but have kept coming back due to their great service. Each time I have been very satisfied. In addition, I have been able to park my car overnight without any issue, they have removed a plastic bag stuck to the bottom of my car for free, and have even checked my car out for any issue at no charge. I always get prompt and professional service every time. Because they have earned our trust, we have started bringing my husband’s car here even though he works on the other side of the Houston area. Excellent service, highly recommended! I discovered this repair shop after another shop did a poor job replacing the transmission on my moms car, that resulted in all kinds of problems. We brought the car to this AAMCO, and they were able to bring the ailing car back to life. We have been taking our vehicles to Big O ever since.Big O is very honest, caring and helpful. He even replaced the headlight bulb on my chevy for free after other shops were charging upwards of $100!! Most importantly his team always takes the time to get the job done.Ill continue to take my vehicles to Big O and his team as long as Im the Houston area, Ive never experienced such wonderful customer service at any other repair shop.

Brought my 2001 Honda Odyssey on Saturday for transmission issues. I was told that they couldnt diagnose the problem unless they pulled the transmission out which would cost me over $600.00. The manager said they would have the transmission out on Monday and would call me Monday afternoon. Monday afternoon came and said it wasnt ready and they would call me no later than Tues at 10 am. Tues 10am came and went and of course they didnt have any info yet. It was after noon time they called me and said that 2 and 3 shift malfunction. I told him that I could use gear 2 and asked him how he came up with that conclusion. He responded and said that is what code for the check engine light said.So basically, I spent over $600.00 to remove my transmission when all you did was go by the error code from the check engine light?! REALLY!!

Great experience. Car wouldn’t start, tried jumping. Car started next day and I took to AAMCO for an inspection and repair. They inspected and didn’t find any issues with the vehicle and didn’t charge me anything for looking it over.Turns out that the unlock button on the alarm remote stopped working, so the alarm was active and wouldn’t allow the car to start; have a replacement remote on the way and hopefully it corrects the issue.AAMCO (off Hwy 6 in Sugar Land) earned my trust with that first experience and I’ll take my vehicle there with any issues from now on.

Took my 2005 Ford Freestar there because it would not shift out of first gear. I had already replaced two recommended parts myself because I have a trust issue with Mechanics but to no avail!. The AAMCO techs diagnosed the issue (Throttle Position Sensor) and replaced the part to fix my vehicle the same day at a minimal cost. I was expecting the worst! These guys have renewed my trust! The Techs at the Missouri AAMCO were outstanding and I would go right back there if I had any other issues. Thanks Again!!!!

I was kept well informed and felt as if a friendship was created out of this tragic car problem I had. The car was ready when promised and I believe that AAMCO has given me better than expected service. I was duped by a guy before going to AAMCO and Greg saved me over $2000 by me not having to deal with a shady mechanic. I will definitely recommend and revisit this establishment.

Great job Missouri City AAmco. The transmission rebuild feels great. Im sure the 3 year warranty will cover any issues (If they arise). Great customer service.Outstanding communication, They call to let me know where they are (stage of repair) and projected time frame for completion. Keep up this level of service and many more folks will bring business. Kudos to Big O and Greg. Im sure other team members contributed to AAmcos success. Hats off to them as well.

I love Aamaco in Missouri City, I have been coming here for several years. They have serviced all my cars, for transimssion work, plastic bags that had to removed, tune ups, alternator work, I trust them with all my car needs, They are most professional. As a lady that is most important to have a mechanic that you can depend on and one that does a great job. Mike my mechanic, Greg and Chad are great people.

My wife and I have both brought our cars here and had wonderful experiences. They are straight forward, accommodating, and explain everything.

I brought my car in for a free inspection since it was leaking transmission fluid. Greg, the service manager, and Mike, the service technician, were friendly and helpful. They took the time to answer all my questions and concerns regarding the repair. Mike took the time to show me where the leak was. Overall, I would recommend this place for transmission work.

You couldnt ask for a better service. Very honest and friendly people. I had an issue with my wifes Jeep Compass which I couldnt find a clear solution on any forum or other websites hoping that a DIYer like me could fix.
