I was so disappointed about our experience here. We went in for dress shopping for my sister and were very disappointed with the service. I was so hopeful for it, being a local shop, but it completely missed the mark. The person helping us was very unfriendly, didnt even introduce herself or ask us many questions. She was very confusing on what dresses would work for off the rack, and honestly the dresses were in rough shape. We know nothing about wedding dresses (obviously!) and she gave us no information on how theyd work altered or if any of the blemishes could be fixed. We had to bring up the hanging strings that were falling off the dress three times for her to let us know they could be fixed. Also she didnt offer anything for the bride to be (Water??), and acted like this was the last place she wanted to be. There was ZERO excitement from her for my sister for her big, special day! A bridal shop owner should be excited and want to help every bride find her perfect dress, but this person didnt seem to care at all. Also if you arent a size 6, dont bother going in because nothing will fit. Youd be better off shopping online and would probably have a more enjoyable experience.

Lovely dress shop. Some very beautiful dresses. The ladies were very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. It was only the 2nd bridal store Ive visited and i didnt feel pressured to say yes to a dress. I think i will be back in the coming months. If you are shopping for your wedding, Velvet Bride is a must.

This event is incredibly special to me, and Im often abused by women. In an intimate scenario of dress shopping, Im taking steps to avoid more trauma. Bad reviews happen, but this one indicated something I need to protect myself from. The response confirmed it. Blaming me for not trying them instead of making things right for the bride who sounds like a reasonable person. Next will be increased efforts to silence us.

Velvet Bride was the first shop we went to when I was searching for my bridal gown. The store is adorable and felt very intimate and cozy. Shannon made my best friends day wedding dress shopping. My best friend is eloping to Hawaii in January and almost every shop was making her feel like her date would make buying a dress unattainable. Short review: Not a good experience/selection/staff help at all - Go to the Last Best Bridal Shop instead (They are AMAZING there and extremely helpful and have beautiful dresses)Longer review:The experience: I came with a friend whos getting married and she was so excited to visit the Velvet Bride . With the appointment she booked, there would be champagne and dresses and all the fun that comes with the experience. When we got there, however, there was only one young woman working who seemed like this was the very last thing she wanted to be doing. She greeted the bride but didnt acknowledge her three friends with her. There was water and champagne on a table with one cup beside it and none was offered to any of us. We finally just asked if we could have some and she said, Oh, yeah, sure! So we served ourselves and the bride.The selection: This place does have newer styles, but a very small collection and more on the pricey side as well. When my friend would ask questions about the dresses, the woman would initially respond very hesitantly, as if to say, Dont get your hopes up, that probably cant happen, but Ill check to see... She wasnt helpful at all.As we were there, we couldnt wait to leave and try to find another option in Missoula (we felt like unwelcome guests where the host couldnt wait for us to leave). When we found another shop online, we went to the Last Best Bridal Shop, and the contrast between the two shops couldnt have been stronger - Overall experience and selection and staff help were 110x better than the Velvet Bride. Id skip the Velvet Bride altogether if I were you.

Buying a wedding dress can be completely overwhelming but the moment I stepped into Velvet Bride, I was instantly relaxed and excited. The store is beautiful and filled with stylish dresses at a decent price point, which is impossible to find anywhere else in Montana.Lauren has a great eye and did a wonderful job at helping me pick out dresses that fit both my budget and figure. I ended up buying the first dress I tried on and couldnt have been happier!

A true fun bridal experience here. I never felt rushed into an idea or a dress style I didnt like! We went over our appointment time by 10 minutes and she still acted professional and not rushed. I felt so comfortable, and never was made to feel weird about sizing issues or my size in wedding dresses. At severl other shops my sizing was brought up several times and it was awkward. Even if I hadnt bought my dress here (which I did and its awesome) I still would have had to leave the same review.Come here if you want unique, stylish new styles and something different. Highly reccomend.

My experience at Velvet Bride was beyond great. The gal was very helpful in helping me find the perfect dress. There were so many styles to choose from and she made myself and my family feel so special! I looked all over for a wedding dress, so I was so happy to find Velvet Bride.

This was the first place I went to, and while the woman was very friendly, she didnt seem like she wanted to help me at all. I told her I love ball gowns, but was open to trying other things, and my budget was under $1,000 though I was again open to going higher if I found the one and these both seemed to make her uninterested in helping me. I ended up going to another store and getting a dress for over my budget that wasnt a ball gown because the woman there told me I should try other things.If you want business, maybe you should push a new bride to trying other items besides what she has in her mind from her prom.She also never offered anything to drink, and I was only in the store for fifteen minutes of the hour that is part of the appointment. I really felt like I was being pushed out of the store.

Giving this place one star was being generous. My mom made an appointment to get my wedding dress steamed out 2 days prior to our wedding. We needed it done at a specific time because our wedding venue was 2hrs away from where we lived and it was in the mountains.Not many bridal stores in the area that would be open. We show up at the scheduled time and the store was closed.CLOSED. My mom called the store multiple times and after we left they called back. The scheduler had mis-scheduled the appt for two weeks out, which fine - that happens from time to time, not a big deal. What we didnt appreciate was the the complete lack of sympathy,empathy and accountability. She said it wasnt her problem and we could bring it in the next day which did not work for us. We scheduled a specific time because of everything else going on and my wedding was that Saturday. The receptionist said if we wanted we could bring the dress in later that day and they would try and do something (which we could clearly tell she was irritated). First off, this is your job. This is literally what you are paid to do, so treating your customer like were an inconvenience when were not the one who screwed up the schedule is beyond ridiculous. I will not recommend this store to anyone, for the pure rude behavior of the staff when this was supposed to be such a fun and special time. Like I said, mishaps happen, but making it seem like the customer was the one in the wrong, and the snooty attitude was not necessary.-A very pissed off Bride.

This was by far my favorite dress shopping experience! The owner Emily is so sweet and helpful. Her shop is decorated beautifully and only allows one appointment at a time. I shopped with a group of four and we had the whole place to ourselves. Other bridal shops charge extra for an experience like this. Emily offered to order in a few dresses I liked and made sure the samples were in my size which I appreciated very much. Velvet Bride is a must see if your searching for a gown! Wonderful customer service and bridal shop.
