Stopped in for a quick look, ended up staring at the gauge selection forever. The chick behind the counter was awesome. I picked three different gauges and changed my mind twice. She went back and sanitized two sets and then I would choose something else. She was patient and had an awesome attitude the entire time. She was amazing and excited about my purchase even though I made run around the whole time. I ended up with these super sick wooden spiral gauges. Thanks a bunch from this super indecisive customer!

Got my first tattoos here a LONG time ago. Just took my daughter in for her first real piercing. I was happy to see that it is still as chill and professional as it was all those years ago. Best shop in town.

More expensive than other piercing places in town. I had my ear lobes pierced here and they were put in lopsided, one earring was higher than the other. They removed one for free, but wanted to charge another piercing fee ($35) to put it back in! I wont be going back. Positive: their facility is very clean.

Seth did my tattoo and let me tell you, his incredible talent shows in my stunning tattoo. He went above and beyond and was such a optimistic, sweet, and hardworking artist who genuinely loves what he does. I couldnt be happier with my experience!

I recently got my helix and septum pierced with Morgan here. She was wonderful! She led me through the process and instructions kindly while answering any questions I had. The facility was organized and sanitary. As a person with autism, I would highly recommend for those who also struggle with mental illnesses such as anxiety or other social disorders!

Needed to get my permanent earrings busted loose... Yes it was very much a waste of $$ for them to place the plastic ones in my ears they fell out in my sleep never found them . Almost lost my daith piercings because I switched I should have just left the metal ones in after they busted my hoops open :) thanks for that help it was much needed for my MRI, to get the medical attention I needed !

My 19 year old got their septum piercing done by Tristn and was extremely happy with their experience. Tristn was very good about explaining how to take care of the piercing at home and made my offspring very comfortable before and after. Thanks so much.

When I walked into the space I felt very welcomed and taken care of. But when I was asking about pricing of jewelry I kept getting told “prices would vary” (remind you I was getting my 3rd lobes pierced) it was reasonable to have the piercing itself be around $50 but then when I wouldn’t get a solid answer for how much certain jewelry was I felt like I was getting scammed. After I got my ears pierced and I chose the smallest, most simple studs out of all of the options. My total came out to be $160, yes they turned out great but not worth $160 and I will never come back due to the fact I felt like the piercers were not being honest with me about prices and they didn’t want to tell me which earrings were the cheapest when I had asked. Each jewelry piece (smallest round studs they had, no Diamonds and not even real gold) had cost me $50 PER jewelry piece. Space was clean but I don’t think they were being very open with me which I felt lost my respect for them.

I went to painless still for ink therapy. I ended up with Batman and robin, gir and zim. Ok so this place is kinda overwhelming, its a tattoo/piercing mega store. With probally a dozen or more rooms. Each room houses a artist. And each room is as eclectic as the artist. So randomness is king here. I saw a artist named Adrianne (and I am sure I spelled that wrong) ok so this chick is pretty cool. I come from the south so her bluntness is a welcome change for me from the shy artists I encountered in Oregon. Shes blunt, kinda rude(not a bad thing, honesty can be slightly rude), but beast with a tatt gun. :) I will be seeing her again in the future:) (my partner got a wrench anchor ) beast!!!!

Went in for a flat piercing and it was quick and easy. My piercer Larisa was nice, gave jewelry recommendations and made it a smooth process!

I got a tattoo from Jaimie and it was perfect! She completely understood what I wanted and executed it flawlessly! She was super personable and very sweet. 10/10

Also super friendly and my piercer (Morgan) kinda went above and beyond by me as I got dizzy after wards super clean environment!I have no frame of reference for the jewelry they use but I will say it was a bit pricier than I was expecting so if you’re going in for a piercing bring the piercing fee and then another 3x that for the jewelry (could also be the pieces I picked) overall really awesome staff location and quality but be prepared to pay for that qualityWould definitely go again and recommend!

I got a few tattoos here a couple years ago but lately I have gotten new piercings and the staff has been amazing! The communication was great and Larissa helped me decide what I wanted. I always recommend this shop for any piercing, it’s really the best. I’ve never had any issues and the after care instructions are very clear.

Unfortunately these folks are some of the roughest piercers out there. Ive had multiple piercings elsewhere (lobes, daith, conch) and have NEVER been in more pain or discomfort than I have after a piercing from Painless Steel in Missoula. In addition to this, I recently had them swap out some jewelry on a piercing of mine and the piercer put the jewelry in upside down AND did not sanitize the jewelry before putting it in. It is now extremely tender, painful and swollen not to mention infected. I would highly recommend going somewhere else if you want to get a piercing.

I m have been seeing Jaimie here for years. Amazing quality of work on my tattoos. I’ve also had my nose pierced there and was a great experience. All around great atmosphere as well.

This tattoo shop was very professional and were very good at making this piercing painless for my daughter. I am so shocked that my daughter didnt even stress out about it hurting at all. She was made to feel comfortable by staff.

I had Morgan do my industrial bar! And she was so nice and so friendly and made sure that I understood how scar tissue works! I would highly recommend this place for your piercings and I usually stay with my local piercer in kalispell Montana but i definitely would recommend them for piercings! All the ladies were friendly and caring. The piercing part was Incredible, Morgan was very sweet and helped me stay calm! Didn’t have any bad experience with them! They are soo amazing. Did not feel like a very safe and kind space (which is the way all tattoo/piercing shops should feel). The lady administrating my piercing and paperwork was very cold and really not someone I wanted to pierce my face, I went along with it anyways, but I felt rushed and not respected what so ever. Never going back.

My piercer Tristn was great & did a great job piercing my nose. However the lady at the front desk was very rude I dont know her name but she has a bad attitude and made very snarky remarks. She refused to let me take anyone back with me because of my anxiety and panic attacks and Tristn was very kind and supportive and said the person I was with could come back with me. Other then that the rest of the staff was really kind :) I love my nose piercing.

I got my first tattoo here about a month ago from Jackie. I couldnt be happier with the experience and the art that she put on me. So thankful and happy! Morgan did a nose piercing for me recently as well and it was excellent. The rest of the staff and the owner are so nice too! Wish I could give more than five stars.

This place is awesome! This is the place were my wife gets all her work done. I got my first tattoo two years ago and love it! The shop is very clean, and I feel really safe. They make sure to really clean their equipment and dispose of all needles. All the staff are really friendly and fun to talk with. Real professional at their jobs! Ok so I first went here about 6 years ago. I had a very bad experience! I don’t know who the person was, but I was scared to get a piercing, but wanted it, and she was super mean and had no patience. I was anxious to go in again as my last experience was bad. 6 years later I live right by Painless steel and felt like I would be fine. Well I was! I had such an amazing piercer and she has only been piercing for a year!! Her name is Larisa. I got 3 piercings from her! Went in again a few days later and had Tris’n another great piercer! But honestly the apprentice was my favorite! She was so patient and kind! I used a stress ball and she went out of her way to find me one!! Love all my piercings and highly recommended this place! It was clean and so friendly!!

The vast majority of my tattoos have been done at Painless with Sarauna. She’s the best. So I didn’t realize when I got some work done at another shop how incredibly clean and sanitary the facilities at painless truly are. Not only are there talented and professional artists there, they make sure all you take home is the ink, no infection. I’ve healed beautifully from all work done there and really appreciate their attention to detail and professionalism.

My friends and family have been pierced and inked here for years, and Im always put at ease by the calm, clean atmosphere, and the clarity of the artists who work here in answering any and all questions. Theres an extensive collection of body jewelry of very high quality, and weve always received professional aftercare advice after having work done. I have so much faith in these people, I would let them tattoo a baby.

Very expensive jewelry and rude staff. They also forced me to have my service dog stand outside. Luckily my partner was with me and he held her outside. We felt embarrassed, and gutted by the prices. Not to mention it is illegal to deny entry to a service dog. I paid $50 for a septum retainer, and a septum ring. The only reason I went here is because no one sells septum retainers closer to me. I will NOT be returning.Lastly, they are located in a ghetto part of Missoula, and Ive read that the owner is a convicted child molester. Im embarrassed to have bought anything from them.

Ive never had a bad experience here. I make the drive from Kalispell for obvious reasons. The shop atmosphere is always. Always feels very welcoming! The artists are amazing just simply amazing. You can tell they actually care and do their very best to create your vision into a masterpiece. Prices are also very fair from tattoos to jewelry. Definitely recommend them!!

As soon as we got into the building we was meet with total ignorance. I dont know if they dont like making there business money our just dont care enough about it. They wanted us to pick out a piercing without being able to put it up to the location we wanted pierced. Thats a pretty big deal to be chancing on weather our not it will look good our that we will like it. I highly dont recommend going to this place even if they are giving you a deal of a lifetime

Adrienne is AWESOME. I got my nipples done and my husband came along. She made it very comfortable for both of us. She took her time to make sure they were even. Very gentle and smooth. She is the best and I would not go anywhere else. Friendly staff. Cannot forget Kim at the counter. She has a beautiful smile that welcomes you when you come in the door.

Morgan is amazing! She is kind and helpful. She explained everything she was doing so I would be comfortable. She made sure I was ready to go before each piercing. She told me how to keep my piercings clean and when to return to get them shortened. My ear only hurt for a day or two and I got three piercings in one sitting. She was great! I highly recommend her!

Piercer and front desk were friendly and did the job well. The real disappointment for me was the lack of jewelry selection. I was hoping for something much more simple but wasnt able to get what I wanted because some of their jewelry has traces of nickel in them and I have allergies to that. I will probably go back again though because it seems like the most decent place around.

Tried charging $120 for a simple set of earrings and the peircing??????????? the lady at the front that helped me out, was very snarky, rude and just plane unhappy. It made me super uncomfortable as a customer to see be helped by someone so rude and disrespectful.

I was scared to get my nose pierced but I was put at ease here and the piercer was so nice and made the experience pleasant and now I have a nose piercing!

They gave a price estimate that was $25 under what it actually costs to get piercing, the lady that pierced my girlfriend also pulled on her ring way too much and made it bleed for over twice the amount of time it shouldve. They also didnt tell us that i couldnt accompany her or that we had to wear masks which made us late for our appointment due to have to go get masks. By far the worst experience.

I have always gotten my piercings done here and i was always pleased, so i decided to get my ink done here. Adrienne did my first tattoo which took three sessions to complete. She worked very efficiently, made me feel comfortable, and did a beyond fantastic job tattooing me. It turned out perfect, better than I could have ever imagined. I have had my nose pierced here before, and the lady who did it was very kind. She did a great job. Just recently went back to get another piercing and the lady at the front was rude. Also it is rediculous that you cannot use a paper ID. I tried using my paper ID and got rejected. The lady says since it is paper i cant have a piercing there. Everywhere else in missoula will take a paper ID. Dont know her name but she was very rude about it.

My fiance and I got our septums done today and Morgan took great care of us. 100% will return again. :)

Truly unprofessional. The staff member I worked with was generally unkind and very unwilling to be helpful. I’ve been pierced here before and have been happy with the experience, but not on this occasion. I’m relatively new to tattoos and piercing and my lack of knowledge was met with irritation rather than understanding. I may continue to work with this shop, but I will not be giving this piercer any of my business.

I literally just had a tattoo done by Sarauna. She was fabulous! She was very informative, polite and knowledgeable. What an Artist, she drew up what I wanted on my foot and replicated exactly what I wanted. I will go back to her for all of my future tattoos. As for the shop, it was clean, neat and everything you can expect. Great place, I recommend it a 100%.

The tattoo process itself was fine. I got a decent size leg piece from Gina, and loved it, but she missed details I really wanted in there, and I mentioned it twice and she still missed it. Then, I called recently to try to get it touched up and because it has been longer than 90 days that it was going to cost the shop minimum to fix. I was never informed I only had 90 days to get a touch up in any way. That is bull. Stand by your work people.
