I was in desperate need of auto repair. I was told by several other businesses they were too busy to help. This company Zip Auto Repair was also booked out. But took the time to give me 4 referrals and ther numbers. 15 minutes later, they called me back to fond out if I had any luck. I did not, so they gave me several more options and continued to follow up until I was helped. I wish I could have had my work done there! Great business ethics, and nice people
I cant even say this is 5 stars, its more like 10. We broke down in Missoula on our vacation. We couldnt get anyone to even hook up the computer cause every where was booked. This place answered and immediately said they were booked, but still asked what was going on. I told him our whole story and he told us to bring it over. He not only figured out what was going on, but he made the time to fix it, so we could get back on the road. They did a great job, were so kind and it was pretty inexpensive as well!!! The best guys!!
Awesome staff, best service Ive ever had with any auto repair shop.
Very professional shop was in and out in under an hour with zero problems.
1st class automobile repair shop in downtown Missoula specializing in vintage and exotic.
Outstanding communication, fair prices, and great service
Cant comment on their service - can only comment on their friendliness. My husband and I were in town visiting when we saw this nice, old auto shop. We approached a man unloading parts from his SUV and van and complimented him on what a great shop he had. Clearly he was busy, but he took the time out of his day to stop what he was doing and talk cars and shops with my husband and I. He said he was grateful to be able to work in a shop that had such history...if the walls could talk, he said as he pointed out an original mural on the interior wall.Figured if someone that was busy could take just a brief moment out of their day to speak with two tourists, it must be a pretty good shop.
These guys dont even deserve 1 star. Took my Cadillac CTS to have a O2 sensor replaced then they tried to say my catalytic converter was bad then my lightbulb went out and would be $300 which I said fine to the headlight, then said it was really the whole headlight assembly which was $1200 so I said no and they charged me $400 for diagnostics for my headlight and didnt even put my O2 sensor in; i bought a used headlight assembly for only $400 and when I went to put it in I discovered they just unplugged it to look like it was out, plugged it in and it worked again. I called and they asked if I was ready to have them replace that light and I said I actually was doing it myself and discovered they just unplugged it and there was a pause then said they would call me back, they didnt so I called again and they told me I couldnt prove anything. I hope this review helps keep many people from getting screwed by these guys
According to the Service Department... and I quote... “ZIP Auto is changing and doesn’t have to worry about gaining or retaining anyone’s business.”
They charged me $300 for a $100 remanufactured altinator and only gave me $1.00 for a core fee
Im always surprised at how low their prices are compared with other chain and discount repair shops. They have worked hard for me on a number of occasions to source parts at lower prices than other shops quoted me. They have diagnosed issues that other shops misdiagnosed, they seem very knowledgeable.
Terrible service; these guys are exactly why people say dont trust mechanics
