I enjoy shopping at natural grocers. the produce is always fresh, they keep a good supply of supplements in stock... I usually pick up the Ultima electrolytes to go in my Kale shake each morning. that gives it just enough sweetness with out any of the sugary aftereffects. Many of my patients struggle with dehydration in the summer and winter months. I recommend this brand of electrolytes, along with trace minerals and nutritional yeast for energy.Im a functional medicine doctor and I can always count on natural grocers to have these products and fresh veggies in stock.friendly helpful staff at the Shawnee and Metcalf locations!

Cool place, refilling water jugs is easy here and they have lots of healthy options compared to regular grocery stores. If you can afford it, eating healthy is the way to be.

Oh I just love this place! I bought so many things that are super healthy! The staff there are so helpful and kind. I cant wait to return. There are all kinds of organic and sugar free items. Theres a section for special toiletries like shampoo and soaps. There is a vitamin section and so many drinks and snacks that are really good for your body. The sweet cashier helped me out when I checked out and she even called me sweet and was very professional. I cant wait to return! ❤

This is a nice one. All Natural Grocers have really great products, and all their produce is organic, no guessing. Prices for healthy and organic foods are usually a little better than the rest too, and they have great sales. Right now a dozen free range eggs is 1.99 if you are a NOW member. Their sour gummy worms and taffy is the best! :)

I went to pick up a single item. A tube of Giovanni facial moisturizer. I think they were out of it. Im not sure. I dunno the cashier told me they dont sell Giovanni product while there were several of them on thelf 2 inches from her head.This was stupid.

Came in to get cilantro. After waiting in line for a few minutes, the cashier told us that she was closing her register and we needed to go to another register. We go to another line and while waiting, the previous cashier proceeds to help a customer that had replaced us in our original spot. I dont know if we were being discriminated against based on race, appearance, it doesnt really matter. We were asked to step aside so someone could receive preferential treatment. Pretty sad considering we just needed cilantro. The manager offered an apology but the employee fled to the back or wherever to avoid acknowledging her absolutely disrespectful behavior. Wont be shopping at Natural Grocers again. Please consider evaluating the status of employees that are openly discriminate and/or just blatantly rude as you all and I know, there are many place to buy cilantro.

Great place to buy healthier food. Small but well stocked. Make sure you bring a reusable bag or two with you since they dont use plastic bags for groceries.

Our family loves this store. The selection can sometimes be a little low, but we know the products were buying are of better quality. We love the organic vegetable and fruit section. We love the selection of gluten-free options throughout the store. There are things that I love getting here that I cant get at any other grocery type store.

Prices are kinda high. Understand that its organic but 2$ for a small bottle of oj when you can get half a gallon at hyvee for about the same price is a bit much.

Put in request for special order and they accommodated me by placing the order and notifying me when the case was in. So much easier to get from store closer to me than driving to Shawnee Mission Pkwy and such great attitudes here.

I Normally love this place and I always have a wonderful experience and the staff is very lovely and helpful. But as I was checking out today I handed over two twenties one of them being a 1977 older twenty dollar bill which i have never had an issue with before but up on handing it to the manager he told me that they can not take older 20s due to counterfeit reasons but even though the twenty i handed him had been marked with a counterfeit pen and was clearly not counterfeit he told me I needed to exchange it at a bank. So I left all my groceries there and went to my bank where they happily took the twenty with out problem and exchanged it back i then returned to the store and bought my groceries. In all my years at working in food service i have never had a problem with the age of money nor have i refused to take money that was too old a twenty dollar bill is a twenty dollar bill and clearly the bank was okay with taking it. so i am disappointed in my experience today.

Love to come in here. Clean, friendly and all fruits and vegs are organic. People are helpful. I bought a cauliflower crust frozen pizza. Yum.

The reason I shop at Natural Grocers is the atmosphere. Outside you are in the big city, but once you are inside, you are in a small town. The produce is fresh and organic. The eggs are free range and cheap! The workers remember you after your first visit. There’s a sense of community. Everyone is there to support Natural Grocers and their own bodies as well. Great place. I highly recommend a visit if you would like that kind of shopping experience.

I love Natural Grocers! I used to get most of my organic goods at Whole Foods, but then I discovered this place. I find things here that I can not find at Whole Foods. And on top of that, Natural Grocers has more of a neighborhood feel than Whole Foods. There are always people available to help you. I love the service.

I frequent this store often. The store is pretty small but always clean. They have a lot of natural hard to find items. The employees are helpful and Produce is always fresh.

Great prices, knowledgeable and friendly employees, and good variety of products. Always buy our dog bones here, as well as other groceries and household supplies. Only downside is the hours of operation. I wish it was open additional hours!

Great produce and reasonably priced. They have wonderful samples that give you an idea of how to use their produce and a good feel of how tasty healthy eating can be. Friendly, helpful staff. Only thing I wish was that they sold fresh fish and had a bigger meat and poultry selection.

Havent been there for quite awhile but I like Natural Grocers a lot. Like Whole Foods but a little cheaper.

I love this place. Its my go to for healthy and organic foods. I love getting soaps here. The people are so friendly always near by if you need any help. It is very pricey but some of it is worth it. I cut soda out of our lives a very long time ago so my girls love when I get the sparking water. Also youve got to try the Sorgum. Pop it like popcorn and its AMAZING!!! Just like popcorn. I loved this place so much that I traveled far. Now Im so happy that opened one closer to me so I find myself there even more now.

This franchise is totally Awesome! Im mad at myself for not visiting sooner. This location is very neat, clean, and affordable. I have found a new grocery store. They offer great services and help for a healthy lifestyle.

Decent little alternative grocery store. Lines seem to just pop up at the register so dont expect to rush in and out. Prices are fair for what they have and stock levels are better than some other shops in the city of this type.

Today was my first time going in this store and I had a ball. Im new to the whole natural and organic way of life but they had everything I needed. From Almond Milk to Organic Deodorant. I will definitely be going again SOON!! Just be careful because you will spend $50-100 easy in this store.

Organics, veggies, local, carnivore, vegan, as well as some hard to find items. Natural Grocers have you covered and with a very unassuming, neighborly and friendly approach. We enjoy the push to bring your own carrying vessel to bag your items. They have great customer service, with a good understanding of all their products offered and a willingness to answer questions.

The best place to go if you want organic food.

The place is small, and the prices are way higher than the same store chain in Texas. I dont think I can patronize them again.

I love all the Natural Grocers stores I have been to but, this one is my favorite. They always have what I need and a really great selection of produce. The staff is always friendly and quick to open additional check outs as needed.

I love Natural Grocers. It is a fantastic alternative to Whole Paycheck. The best part is everything in the story is organic. I have seen items pulled from the shelf because they learned the producer was not meeting Natural Grocers standards. I really like the bulk items as well. I do about 50% of my shopping there. Its certainly more expensive than other local stores, but the quality of the food far exceeds the cost difference in my opinion.

Visually uninviting and the tired layout does not draw you into the store like Whole Foods. Does not have the foot traffic it should. Things need to change at the top or what should be a great organic alternative will soon disappear. The sounding board of a successful business are an abundance of customers. What worked for Vitamin Cottage in the 20th century is not a template for success in the 21st.

My first visit to this Natural Grocers location in the KC area. I was super impressed with the staff. Earlier in the day I called to check if they carried a particular product. The gal who answered the phone was right on top of knowing about that product. At the store I did not spot the product, but the guy who I asked was right on top of things and took me right to the product and gave me some good advice.

Decent selection. Prices are competitive with Whole Foods. Good place to get brands the typical supermarket doesnt have. Great choices for vitamins, toiletries, certain foods.

I am truly flabbergasted by the many reviews claiming the prices here are reasonable. The price of produce and other groceries are so unbelievably high. I ma not sure if the proximity of this store to other natural food stores has to do with why people think their prices are cheap. I used to live in a small town that had only one COOP Natural food store and the prices there are not this high.

I love it here! ALL the food is organic! The staff is all super nice and helpful. Be sure to bring your own bags, they have boxes but no plastic bags.

Ive been a customer for many years and have been happy to see that 2 new locations have gone up within the last year, both are much closer to my home than the OP location. I went into this store shortly after they opened and purchased a watermelon, my daughter is obsessed so were constantly buying them. While I thought the price of around $16 was a little high, I had no problems paying it knowing it was organic. Having bad luck with watermelon in the past I cut into it as soon as I got home from the store and unfortunately it was inedible.I decided to visit Sprouts in Lenexa to find one that was fresh. I was able to get a fresh watermelon for around $5, while it was a little smaller it was much better in taste and freshness.Today I returned to Natural Grocers to do shop for food, I decided to mention the watermelon even though I usually let it go when this happens. I asked if they would offer another watermelon they said they needed a receipt which I figured might be the case. Unfortunately there are people out there that probably take advantage of policies like this. Its too bad because I probably wont be able to bring myself to buy any more watermelon from them.

Simply put what a fantastic grocery store. The location itself was spotless and the staff was above and beyond friendly overall it was a very pleasant surprise and definitely fits a need for people with restrictive diets.

I really like this location. It is laid out much more intuitively than the location near Pflumm. As with most Natural Grocers locations, the staff is fairly friendly, reasonably helpful, and doesnt bother you too much while shopping. The product selection seems a bit larger than the location on Pflumm, as well. Generally, I can always find what Im looking for at this location.

I shop here frequently because they carry things I like that other nearby stores don’t have. I asked the produce guy if I could buy. just a couple of organic Vadalia onions that were bagged. There were about 8 onions which was way too many and they did not have any spring onions. The dude said no. No bueno. He then suggested those longer onion things. (Leeks).

Good selection of hard to find ingredients, vegan items, etc. Always helpful. Small produce section but always quality stuff. Prices are pretty good too little pricey for some but speciality things like vegan cheese, kombucha, gf pasta are actually cheaper than Hy-Vee. Pay for quality.

All produce is organic unlike some chains. They are picky about what they sell. Prices are low and they dont waste food in order to make a dollar. They sell $2 bags of produce thats close to expiration date, no reason everyone cant eat healthy and affordable. Lettuce is usually $1.30ish cant beat that anywhere!

Always good deals, great produce, friendly happy staff. Often find neat and different snacks and sales too!

Great classes and information from nutritionist Meghan! Otherwise, Ive found it more difficult to get info on how the nPower program, vouchers from classes, and discounts work from employees at this store than at others. Same for info regarding store product.

Theyre constantly out of the 5 or 6 key things i go specifically there for. Its the closest one and its still a 20 min drive for me. The others are constantly stocked up but half the time the shelves and fridges are well picked over.

Natural Grocers in Mission is a great place for truly fresh, un-manipulated groceries. Though not open late, this store seems to have every obscure dietary restricted item I need along with a good selection of every day treats.
