Great place to go and look but do not go looking for bargains..After looking for 2 hours I came to the realizations that most of the prices were double what you can get them ebay.

I am an avid comic book reader, and so when I moved to Minneapolis in 2018 I went to every comic book store in and around the twin cities to find the perfect fit for me to pull monthly titles. Comic Book College was the clear winner. Tim and his crew are kind, helpful, and very personable. They had my name down almost immediately after I made an account.Comic book college offers a giant selection of back issues, along with an enormous smattering of new monthly titles. If you’re bringing children to the shop, they have a far-superior-to-most kids section at the front of the store. The staff’s knowledge has never not been able to recommend the perfect fit for what I’m searching for.For me, the best thing about the twin cities is the state fair, and comic book shops—as they are numerous. And as far as comic book shops go, Comic Book College is the Mouth Trap Cheese Curds, or the Sweet Martha’s cookies, if you will. Simply the best.

Of the comic shops I frequent, comic book college is my favorite. They have an excellently cataloged store with A LOT of back issues and trades. Staff are helpful and friendly and always up for a chat about their stock.

If they dont have it, no one does. Most complete back issues in the metro area.

The staff is helpful and the size of the store gives them plenty of room to really show off their inventory. The selection is fantastic - old stuff, new stuff, collectables - and I love that they will have dollar boxes of comics as well. Highly recommend!

These guys are great. They should charge me rent, I spend so much time in their store. Great selection all around and a solid discount trade and graphic novel section, specifically. An excellent Minneapolis fixture.

I love going in here. The people are nice. Everyone has a mask on and its never crowded. Pre-Pandemic wed stay longer and there were more people. But, during the pandemic people dont linger.

Friendly staff will help ya find what you are in search of. Lots of comics and some cool collectibles.

I always leave with a stack of books. A gem of a shop. They have all your comic needs, new issues, back issues, trade paperbacks, come check it out.

Seriously, this place is the best. They have a wonderful selection of comics and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I came for a specific series and they pointed it out to me and told me that they expected to receive more issues of the series. I cant wait to go back !

I have to say that this is the best place to buy comics in the Twin Cities metro, hands down. Sure, some shops have more to choose from in terms of collectibles, but the people who run Comic Book College always make sure you have the best experience while you’re in their shop and that speaks to me way more than anything else. Any time I’m looking for a particular book, arc, run, etc. they are always there to help and they don’t make me feel dumb for asking questions like I’ve been treated before in the past at other shops. They treat their customers with respect and love comics as much as you do.If you’re looking to buy comics locally, as should you be doing especially during these uncertain times, this is the place to do it.

My favorite comic shop in Minneapolis. Very well stocked back issues and always well graded and priced pretty much on par with Overstreet so you know its fair without running and checking the internet (I know, I also work at a record store...). They also have $1 bins. Always a plus! Knowledgeable and chill staff as always. Highly recommended.

Comic Book College is one of the best comic stores Ive ever visited. The staff is ever welcoming, never gatekeeping. Their selection of back issues, collected editions and new releases rivals online retailers. If you live in the Twin Cities metro or are just visiting, do yourself a favor and visit this shop.

Knowledge Base here is such that no other comic shop can compare. The staff can tell you every key issue from every series published since the golden age. If it were possible to duplicate whats going on here into a franchise- there would be no competition.

This is my go-to local comic book shop. I admit, I miss the old locations charm, but the new place is well lit, spacious, and wonderfully laid out. Everyone there is friendly and kind, and they also have a vast collection of back issues and trades. Easy parking situation, and convenient location. Check them out if you are in town.

A real deal local comic book store. Great place to bring your kids, find a hobby, or just get a couple books for some pandemic distraction. Comics are great to help kids reading! The staff are what really make this store shine! Cullen, Fro, Steve,Tim; they are always friendly, often witty, and know their stuff. They go out of their way to know their regulars. They get the books you want and take initiative to suggest other titles you may like. They carry tons of new comics, back issues, graphic novels, trades, toys, games, gifts...even a little manga and a few different card games. They have awesome supplies for the serious collector. Its a gem! Youre guaranteed to find something fascinating if you look around. Not the biggest store in town but Id argue its the best by far.

Walking in to this place is like being a kid again. Getting to shuffle through the boxes, seeing the huge selection. The guys know me and my buddy and they remember our tastes and stuff. They are always patient with us and are willing to answer any questions we have 5/5 have definitely recommended that other people visit this store.

This is a great example of the local neighborhood comic book store. The staff is always friendly and approachable. There is a great range of new and old comics, collections and graphic novels, and toys. There is always a box or two of quarter or dollar comics, as well as a section for kids complete with bean bag chair. With many other shops closing up in the Twin Cities, it is a good thing that the College is still open for comic readers new and old.

One of my favorite comic stores in Minnesota. Always try to convince the girlfriend to make it our main stop for weekly comics. I love the staff and the amount of product they have is overwhelming but in the best possible way. I highly recommend this store.

Great spot for comics and other memorabilia. Was a little surprised a couple weeks ago when I asked for a comic that released that day they were clueless and didnt have it out. But other than that they usually got it all!

Nice little shop. Everything from new action comics to graphic novels to old 50 cent Woody Woodpecker comics for the kids. No wow factor but all of the essentials at a good price.

Spent a little time and was able to find one GA book before heading out. Staff was friendly and helpful and even directed me to other areas with more of my GA focus. Looked to have a decent selection of silver age and newer comics and had the old store feel which I like so much.

A hidden gem of comic book stores. For a small shop they have a big selection of back issues. Boxes of dollar and two dollar issues. Found some good comics I was looking for. I highly recommend you check it out.

Stopped by this store after finding on the internet. Had plans to stop near Lake Calhoun for lunch. Friendly staff and definitely not pushy. Was allowed to look around and shop without being bothered. *Refreshing to say the least! Picked up great back issues in fantastic condition at a reasonable price. Also, decent stock of newer issues as well. I would shop again next time I visit MN. Makes me wish Madison, WI, had a store like this.

I went in for my first Comic Book College experience and left more than happy! Great selection, great staff, great prices on back issues! Plus, it has an awesome comic book store vibe (those of you who care about this will now what I mean). Im now a huge fan and will go back as often as possible despite living 30 minutes away.

Expansive selection of back issues meticulously organized and easy to find what youre looking for. Along with special sales bins, all back issues were reasonably priced...the expensive books were ones I expected to be expensive and nothing seemed marked up. If youre an out-of-towner and want to try to fill in your missing issues, this is a must visit!

Always friendly. Always helpful. They order things for me, if they dont have it. Plus, the Hold Slots are really convenient.

The selection of superheroes is vast and nearly unnavigable. It’s a standard comic shop experience. I’d love to see a bigger alternative comic selection.

Ive been to countless comic book shops and Comic College remains one of the very best.While many shops offer a wide variety of comics, not many can boast the type of ownership and staff Comic College has. Ive had to scale back my weekly purchases many times over the years but, despite not buying as many books as other customers, Ive never been made to feel less important. Ive also been witness to several occasions in which I felt the staff was incredibly helpful to people visiting a comic shop for their first time, an experience that Im told can be intimidating and awkward. Not at Comic College. Its my belief that, in any business open to the public, the staff is a reflection of management and ownership. This explains why Comic College provides a wonderful experience for both newcomers and aging fanboys like myself. Comic books are for everyone and everyone should give Comic College a try. Excelsior!
