Fun place. I thought it was a comic book shop. Its not. They sell comics, but Not the latest issues of Spider-Man, Batman and X-Men. They sell games, they sell old video games, they sell puzzles, they sell old DVDs and VHS tapes and they sell other miscellaneous stuff that makes it a lot of fun to browse. Im not in the market for a lot of that, but as long as theyre around, Ill be back at least twice every year.

Hands down the best game/media/collectable toy shop in the twin cities. Owner is incredibly awesome on trade ins. Never know what Ill find here, original complete Yoda action figure, old lcd games, rare video games from the 90s, bonkers kung Fu DVDs, strange cinema DVDs, generation 1 transformers, things from the 80s Ive always wanted but never had. Paul has really created something special and fun here in Minneapolis. Oh, and the prices are the fairest around!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Heroic Goods & Games.The store is jam packed with goodies for collectors and gamers. They have new board games and table top items, classic consoles, CCGs, vintage toys and comics, new action figures and comics, and a lot more.They also buy that same type of stuff for cash or store credit (redeemed through an eGift Card right now). Store credit usually yields a higher value. They recently revamped their website to have virtually their entire inventory to order for shipping or curbside pickup.The owner Paul is also super knowledgeable, friendly, responsive and perhaps above all fair and respectful in his business practices.

Awesome store and awesome owner. I almost cried manly tears if nostalgia when I walked in here the first time. Theres a really good selection of tabletop games even with its small size too. Some retro to semi retro games are available to purchase at fair prices with some pretty rare ones chilling in a glass case. Theres also some trading cards here too. Great spot for me to grab some tabletop games in the future.

A great store ran the right way. Honestly, if you are looking to run your own business you should go in and pick their minds on how they do it. It is that good that if you followed their business model youd be successful. Now to talk more about the store. Everything is priced fairly Ive bought a lot of items and Ive never felt I paid too much. Ive only had one thing not work after purchase and the return was easy. I think I actually came out ahead after the return which is very rare nowadays. The store has a great wide selection on games and accessories. It also has a nice variety of other goods pretty much a dream store for any kid raised in the 80s or 90s. If I was a millionaire Id franchise the store to other states it is that good. The best business by far in the metro area.

Owner is awesome and friendly. Talks to you like he’s known you forever. Always greets you as you walk through the door and makes a point to do so. He is extremely knowledgable in his merchandise. It is an awesome gem of a store! They have a fantastic selection of not just common games but harder to find titles too for gaming. Great place to just check out. I wish I could give this store more than 5 stars. He is extremely fair when it comes to pricing merchandise and purchasing games as well. I’m not into board games but if you are I highly recommend this place for that as well.

Not one time have I gone in to this store without coming out with a deeper love for games, and the mindset to fight the Great Screentime Battle with my kids with some really inventive, innovative board/card/story/collaborative game solutions. There isnt an item on the shelf that isnt handpicked, and comes with a robust and objective review from the owner, guiding you to the right age range and even personality fit for your child. Its a huge win for the neighborhood (and the city) to have such a well-loved and specialized resource for not-boring family activities!

This is my go-to gaming spot.What can I say? I love this place. Tons of options for games and toys. They buy up all kinds of strange stuff and resell it. Ive never been disappointed by a visit. In fact, I usually leave with more than I intend to get.And Im kind of impressed with how much they fit into this tiny shop, honestly.The staff is always super cool and friendly too.

Heroic Goods and Games? they respond, Whatever is that? Why, its only the best gaming store in the Cities! I shout back at them above the clamor of the railway station, It has everything a body could want in a game store: a great selection, a cozy atmosphere, and a proprietor with the face of an angel! Im sold! they respond, point the way my good man! But, its too late. The train has pulled away and Im ready to begin another of lifes journeys.

Great neighborhood games shop! Dont let the small size fool you, they have an excellent selection of advanced board games. They have a lot of vintage video games as well but thats not really my thing so I cant give an opinion on that part of the business. Friendly and helpful service, definitely the kind of place where I would recommend going if you need help picking something out.Also, they let you rent games to try them out for a fraction of the games price. If you decide to buy, the rental goes towards your purchase.

Love It!! Great local place for all things gaming. Lots of preowned games at very reasonable prices. Any console you can think of, all the way back to Atari. Also new stuff and random vintage items. I LOVE IT and have been there twice this month. Plan to be a regular. Family owned, great to chat with. Parking lot! Its cramped but I kinda like that. By far my favorite gaming store in the Twin Cities area. It has a lot of great variety of tabletop games, retro games and retro toys, with some other things thrown in. Its basically nerd heaven, and thats helped by the store being run by a really kind and helpful owner. This is a great neighborhood store and place to stop in for. As someone that likes retro gaming I always find something here.

Paul is a stellar guy doing what he loves, Ive both bought, and sold to him and Ill tell you from both sides of the deal, his prices are more than fair. He carries a lot of retro games, and figures also which adds a much needed touch that most other retro game stores in the area lack. If youre ever in the area swing on by and give the shop a chance, you wont be disappointed.

Great little game shop! Excited to see a new place to get tabletop games nearby. They also have a great selection of vintage video games. I was digging my old n64 out today and found out that I only had a coax cable, on a whim I thought Id see if they had it, only to find that they have a whole host of cabled and accessories for old consoles. Excellent! I suspect that this will become a frequent stop in our way to peace coffees up the street.

HG&G is a great vintage video game/board game shop offering a wide selection, oddities, great prices, and friendly personal interactions. Paul is a great guy and really knows his stuff. They have a working Ninja Gaiden arcade machine which is really cool.

Has a little of everything new and retro in the store. If your gaming discs do not work they have a buffing machine that buffs out the scratches. Really easy return stuff. If you need games, systems collectable this is the place to be. The owner is very helpful and very knowledgeable. Thank him for all that he has done for us. I will be returning to get more games.

A little bit of everything old and new: games, graphic novels, RPG supplies, and plenty of those little gotta-have items, like a pack of Goonies cards or a big foam d20. The owner (and his pint-sized assistant) keep an organized, consistent rotation or new goodies in a friendly, fun, welcoming environment for everyone of all ages.
