I visited misfit and ordered the cascara rose. It was a little too bubbly for my preference, but otherwise the flavors were really good. The staff were really nice here. I deducted a star because it was so loud in the cafe with the vent blowing. It made it physically uncomfortable to wait inside for my drink order.
Im fairly new to Minneapolis, and Misfit is by far the best stop for coffee Ive found in my search so far. They have an ever-changing rotation of unique and delicious specialty drinks that you wont find anywhere else. Definitely more of a grab-and-go place versus a shop to study or hang out in (the A/C + music is a bit loud), but I always love stopping by when Im out and about! This place is a must for all coffee lovers staying in or passing through the cities.
Very unique menu with lots of new options, nice atmosphere and location! Smoked Vanilla Peach Latte, coffee cake, and blueberry bar were delicious!
Delicious food and coffee with friendly and patient staff. Great place to be productive for work or visit with friends!
Great place! It had so many outlets. There is a large menu with many drink options to choose from. We got iced teas which were good and all cold drinks came with reusable straws. There is good lighting, but we felt like it got a bit warm and stuffy after a bit. The vibe is eclectic and a mix of science and brights colors in moderation. They have cool water canisters on the tables, which is always a good idea when drinking other beverages. Also the bathrooms were totally tubular and so interesting. I personally like coffee shops that have a bit toned down music but it fit the vibe of the place. I’ll maybe stop by again, but I usually tend towards brighter, more open places.
Good people and good drinks. Been going here since they opened, and they just get better and better. Their G&T (Gyoto + tonic) is my fav, but their “specialty” drinks are always a treat.
Nice flavor options here and some have alcohol for an added kick.
Great spot. Whiskeyoto Ginger ftw.
Ive gotten a few cold brews from here and I love them every time! Delicious & different.
Unabashedly unrefined atmosphere, which could be fine if they really owned it, but it feels more thrown-together than intentional. My beverage, the iced chata lata, was the most expensive medium coffee drink Ive ever bought at about $7, and was difficult to drink on account of straight ground cinnamon throughout the drink that refused to dissolve.
Love this place, their coffee, and their employees. Always a treat to have coffee here!
Best latte in town. Espresso drinks are consistent and delicious. For clarity in helping others find good coffee... I really care about the quality of my coffee/ Starbucks is not coffee.
Easily the coolest coffee shop in the Twin Cities. Staff is incredibly helpful, and friendly. The drinks are unique, high quality, and delicious. Super impressed with how well they were able to adapt in the recent months! Would absolutely recommend — I love spending my money here
My absolute favorite coffee shop Ive ever been to! They make fantastic drinks (the horchata de la noche is to die for), and they constantly think of innovations for food and drinks. Its a beautiful store, and their staff is always so friendly and welcoming! Their Covid-19 precautions are extensive and safe, and its obvious that they care about their staff and customers. They have also given back to their community in an amazing way, and its very appreciated!
Yum yum yum. The Maple Bourbon Latte was delicious, bonus that the lid has an extra hole in it so you can get the aroma! Also ordered the Sausage Egg and Cheese sandwich, add the hot sauce and delicious! I can’t wait to go back and try more on the menu! The staff was very friendly!
Amazing specialty coffee menu! But you also can’t beat their cold brew for your daily boost!
Misfit is hands down the best place to get coffee. The staff are always kind, everyone I have met always is so nice. The owner has a true passion to create the best experience ever and it really shows. The coffee is absolutely amazing. You can never go wrong with misfit.
These kids have it all - want a banana in your cold brew? They got it. Want to taste peaches in your latte? They got it. Want to spend your time talking to really sweet people feeling like you’re on some kind of all expenses paid vacation? This is the place to be. Get yourself to Misfit for some rock and rollin good times. 🚀💯
Went here with my husband on a Saturday afternoon. He got a coffee, which was prebrewed and came out quick. He ended up sitting in the car to drink it before it got cold. The brewed coffee was very good. I decided to get a more exciting drink and ordered the violet youre turning violet. The drink itself was very good and not overly sweet which I was worried about. However, the 30min wait for a drink was difficult. I think the unique drinks are great but could be hindering their ability to get you in and out in a reasonable time. Maybe this wouldnt matter if it wasnt covid and you could enjoy the inside atmosphere.
Window ordering was great! Pickup at the door on 24th. Oatmilk latte was delicious. Ask for a cinnamon donut (almost as good as Bakers Wife)
Friendly staff and great coffee. Cherry scone was delicious. Highly recommend.
Misfit has been my main coffee source since I moved to Twin Cities three years ago. They are crazy passionate about what they serve, and it shows! Best cup of coffee, whether your looking for some high-quality Bali- or Guatemala-sourced java (if you don’t know the difference, Marcus will happily help you find your brew) or a fun seasonal latte with fresh ingredients, this is THE place to go!
I travel for a living. My home base is Minneapolis since 1987. I have had many breakfast sandwiches around the United States. Your breakfast sandwich needs some help. Are those chopped hotdogs in the sandwich? I couldnt figure it out. It would be nice if the bread could be whole grain, or, at least not whatever it is. The egg is good. Just think for $6.00 it could be a bit healthier. Otherwise, the coffee is decent.
Everything this place stands for is amazing. The coffee is wonderful with SO many choices
Love the cold brew here
Really cute and quirky coffee shop. I’ve been here a few times and my fav drinks are the Prailine Dream, Garam Masala and Maple Lattes! ❤️
I’ve gone here 3 times in the last day. They’re seriously that good. Such creative drink ideas! They truly have something for everyone here.
Misfit has some of the best seasonal lattes in the Twin Cities imo, very creative flavor combinations that are balanced and not overly sweet.
Carmel latte and caprese sandwich😋😋
Better than corporate coffee places with some really out of the box drinks. They life up to the name sake. Well worth a visit.
This place never disappoints! Their pear honey masala chai is amazing 😍🙌❤️
My espresso was over extracted and tasted burnt. People were nice. I think if I wanted one of the more sugary drinks it would be better.
Salad took a long time and it was very oily
Try their banana cold press pleAs :)
Picking up where Minneapolis establishment, Five Watt left off, Misfit Coffee stand on the shoulders of giants. Their “coffee as cocktails” is a seasonal rotation of surprise and ingenuity. Small bites like broth and bagels are the perfect complement to a perfect coffee drink.
Really liked this place. They were open on Christmas and only one person was working but she managed everything well. Coffee was pretty good and the store was both clean and inviting. Would definitely recommend.
Their Cocktails are amazing! Try an Old Greg :D
Love misfit coffee. The drinks are fantastic (I recommend the Misfit Palmer) and the people are awesome as well.
Delicious and unique beverages! Very diligent about sanitizing and making their customers feel safe! I tried the spoonhouse cherry chai (I think thats what it was called!) - it was like a cherry chai spritzer. So delicious and refreshing!
Cool vibe with a great atmosphere! If you liked the indie coffee shop boom in the 90s, this is a ver good place to be. Also, great coffee! Not too bitter as is the fashion right now. All around, good coffee shop.
Love this place. The coffee is delicious, they have the classics and there are a lot of fun and different concoctions to try. It has a very laid back vibe, a great space to sit and hang out, comfy and lots of outlets.
A truly unique shop in a city saturated in high-end coffee shops. Misfit stands out because of their creative drinks, quality coffee, and eye-catching decor. The ambiance is somewhere between minimalist, brutalist, and pop-punk and they couldn’t have found a better balance of each. Don’t let the looks outshine the drinks though, there isn’t a drink on the menu that will disappoint.
The specialty drinks were so unique and delicious! The service was great - friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back soon!
Cozy heaters in winter for the win!
So cool to see another local small business move from a food truck to a brick and mortar location (smack shack). Love the vibe, you must order your coffee brewed AreoPress style if you havent had that before! Life Changing. Also, regardless if you have to go to the bathroom or not, you must check it out!! So creative and unique!
Pros: They are never out of oat milk and they never burn plant-based milks in my lattes.Cons: It is unbearably warm in the cafe in the summer. Im guessing the building does not have central air, but they really need more (any?) a/c units. I sweat easily so I go to other coffee shops on warm days. I will gladly change this to 5 stars if this is changed.Edit 8/20/19: This summer they have A/C so I have changed it to 5 stars. They still make the best oat milk lattes around- hot or iced.
The drinks here are fantastic! Nice environment inside and the people behind the counter are kind and friendly. Looking forward to stopping in again to try something new. I love that they make their syrups and other elements of their beverages in-house.
This is going to.be my new favorite go to neighborhood place. Its really chill and they have GREAT chai tea!
Loved the pear honey chai
Great coffee, creative house coffee drinks, good pastry options, and a dedicated outlet for every table. Id come here much more often if the hours were a little longer on weekdays but Ill take my weekend visits and be happy.
Great coffee, mixology, sandwiches. Fun area.
Great coffee
I don’t have a car so I always go to the Misfit Coffee at the Weismann Art Museum. I’ve been there a handful of times but the guy recognizes my face and recommends drinks he thinks I would like. Good coffee, nice dude, definitely lots of care put into each drink. What more is there to say?
Best coffee shop in Minneapolis! Really enjoyed the chai latte. Plus the owner is a pretty cool guy 😉
Meh
Really good coffee. Nice tea selection. Friendly service.
Loved my Violet, youre turning violet today. Delicious!
BEST COFFEE I HAVE EVER HAD. Incredibly smooth, its suspicious. :) Also do many unique flavors. And dog friendly!
Americano was not strong enough and was more water than coffee. There was also a ton of grounds in the coffee. I am not a huge fan of eating coffee. I would prefer to drink it. The coffee is overpriced. The atmosphere seemed odd. There was a strange vibe that did not make you feel welcome to even enter the building.
The energy of the truck has come alive in a brick and mortar location. Fun coffee concoctions that change seasonally. Fun service. Social vibe.
My first visit to Misfit Coffee was a resounding success. I had a Sassafras Blast and it was delicious. They seemed to be doing a brisk business. I look forward to trying some other beverages.
The bathroom is very fun! Also good drinks and plenty of outlets.
Amazing coffee. Violet youre turning violet is my fave! Keep up the good work.
This is one of the newer coffee shops in the Twin Cities and they’re great. The coffee is solid and have pastries from The Lynhall. Seating is a little limited but I love the look and feel of the space.
Best coffee in town. Would def recommend stopping in for a coffee.. my personal fave is their spoon bridge cherry chai in the summer! :)
Good matcha latte
Had a delicious mocha with almond milk and loved the music vibes 🤘🏽
Replaced my old coffee shop which replaced my even older one. After months of not wanting to go I was very happy with finally going in. Good lattes and good cold press.
Superb selection of exquisitely blended coffee drinks, cool ambiance.
Friendly service and interesting drink selections. Wish there was more to nosh on but Ill likely visit again!
Ive been going to this place now for a few weeks. Good place to relax
I had dinner here tonight and enjoyed it a lot. Everything is fresh and healthy, the interior is beautiful and calming, and the staff was very friendly.
Good coffee. Expensive for a some of their brews but Misfit advertises where and why they source what they offer which helps educate customers of their supply chain practices.
Super nice staff and unusual coffee with spiritual atmosphere taste
Nice space, but not my favorite espresso roast. Good for working.
Fun atmosphere / Great drinks! Spoonbridge Cherry on Tap is amazing
Cute neighborhood coffee shop with some creative concoctions!
Are you a misfit who loves coffee? If so come here....
Amazing coffee, and super friendly staff. Their pastries are really spot on too. Prices are right for the quality, and service. I had to take one star off though because the music was super obnoxious. Other then that this place beat my expectations.
I am a coffee expert, and this is great and very unique coffee.
Best coffee shop in the Twin Cities!
Misfits is the coolest people making crazy coffee drinks
Great place to grab coffee and work. Fantastic drinks, menu changes seasonally
Great environment, music, service and knockout coffees and more!
Coffee was acidic, went to get my passport stamp and probably wont go back. The savory Danish was good though.
