Ive been going here for years, usually better, maybe just an off day yesterday. I made an appointment for 1:00 for tires while I waited. Get there, and 1:00 is lunch break, and Im told theres 2 customers ahead of me, so it will be a couple of hours! I have my wife pick me up and go about my day. I call at 3:00, and car is just about done. Pick the car up, price is fair, but mechanic left greasy hand prints all over the rims (bright polished silver). I get home, and get a call they forgot to put my wheel lock lug back in the car.

Got new tires there a year ago and great service, got a hole in my sidewall and they replaced and balanced it very quickly. They even put the spare back neatly and fixed a carjack I had lying in my trunk. Great service could not ask for better!

I have a Tesla Model 3 and have heard a lot of negative experiences with tire / auto body shops just not understanding how to lift these cars or work on them, but after a recommendation from another owner I decided to give Barnwell House of Tires a try. I called on a Friday morning (7:30am-ish) and spoke to TJ, the owner, who was very receptive to my asks for an annual safety inspection & tire rotation, explained there would be no issues with lifting my car and assured me they could take care of it and gave me accurate pricing (which other shops couldnt seem to do, even for something as basic as a tire rotation). At the time TJ said the shop was busy and if I could call back in an hour to see if they could fit me in, as I had no appointment.An hour later I called and they were still pretty busy but TJ said to bring it down and theyd try to squeeze me in. I live out in Queens so the drive is about 45 minutes - hour with traffic. Upon my arrival I was greeted & welcomed into the shop, gave my key over and was told theyd be able to take care of me shortly.Upon waiting in the lobby I saw how TJ interacted with the customers who came in, both with appointments & without, and did everything he could to help each and everyone. He was upfront about the current state of shop being busy and was able to work with everyone on timing to get their vehicles in, whether later that day, dropping it off, or coming back in the next morning, very good customer service.Once it started to die down TJ & I had a very good conversation about current events and he asked about my car, how I liked the Tesla, and informed me his wife even has one.TJ is a class act, his team did a great job of getting me in & out with exactly what I needed at a very fair price. Its not easy finding someone to do work on your car and trust that theyll do good work, but also that theyre being up front & honest about what is needed & the prices, but this shop is A+ all the way. I will be recommending Barnwell House of Tires to all of my Tesla groups and encouraging anyone to bring business their way.Thanks again & Im sure Ill be back!

When in to change my tires back in May 2020 and everything was fine until I realized the tire from the front right side kept losing air. I thought it was a puncture but turns out that it wasnt seal properly when it was 1st installed. I went back to the shop and they were very nice about it and took care of it right away. Very friendly place.

Was there today for a leak in my tire.Ended up needing 2 new front tires. The manager and the staff were very nice. Very helpful . And very knowledgeable.I will definitely go back again when I need tires or anything else.

I called Goodyear tire and spoke to Mike, as I got a flat a day before my wedding and needed it fixed quickly. Mark and the staff at Goodyear went out of their way to get my tire and get it changed quickly. They were wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend their services!

Ive been using them for at least the last 10 years and never had a problem. I had plenty of issues with mechanics before them at other shops. I was referred to them by Aamco on Herricks years ago and would never consider going anywhere else. Most of the time you can get up front pricing or a close estimate. Plus, theyre friendly.

As someone who knows very little about cars, I trust that they advise me in the best and most economical way. Marc Schuster is fabulous has a great deal of integrity and knowledge. They are all very excellent and deliver the best customer service. You can feel that people like working there. tJ the owner is terrific too, as well as Jim.

If youre looking for honest mechanics that arent looking to rip you off, are genuinely nice down to earth people and are good at what they do this is the place to go. They always have your best interest at the forefront and will go out of their way to help you out. Their prices are great compared to other shops that take advantage and they dont try to look for problems with your car for the sake of charging you. Unfortunately, car shops tend to take advantage of female clients who arent car savvy but barnwell isnt one of them. I cant say enough good things about them, my only regret is not finding them sooner. Highly recommend them to anyone.

This is a great place to have mechanic work done on your vehicles. Family owned business for at least the last 50 years if not longer. Service is great and fair. They warranty their work and are very trustworthy. Best mechanic shop around. Thats for sure.

They are a very good mechanic shop with 8 operational bays and 1 inspection bay. They are constantly busy but still get your vehicle done in a very timely and efficient manner. Staff is very good and honest. The prices are very fair compared to other shops. If you care about your vehicle, this is the place to go to.

My specific UHP tires are impossible to find on the east coast, but TJ at this Barnwell was able to have them ready for me in far less than 24 hours. The entire process took about 15 minutes. Thanks to the team of professionals at Barnwell of Mineola, I was able to successfully turn in my lease today. They also saved about 50% on what my “service department” had quoted and pumped up all of my tires to the specs, as a bonus. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

My dad started bringing his cars to Barnwell 35+ years ago. Now I bring mine. Ive had them do various work: tires, brakes, alternator, belts, regular maintenance and Ive always been satisfied. They are honest, do a good job and are fairly priced.

Easy to see right off of Jericho Turnpike servicing Mineola and the adjoining areas of Nassau County. Plenty of parking and a wheelchair accessible entrance. Great for all Auto needs. Family owned. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. A true Mineola Landmark. Highly recommended! We will definitely be going back.

I always bring my cars here for good wheel alignments. Friendly and competent staff. Nice comfortable waiting room or you can walk across Jericho Turnpike to Panera Bread for coffee or food while you wait for them to finish your car. Theyll call your cell phone when it is ready

Been using them for about 2 years now by far the best in town. All his guys actually know how to drive stick and dont burn up your clutch like most shops. All work done on my car is done correctly and always is fixed quickly. This is the only shop I go to

I had 2 nails in a tire. It cost almost $45 to patch and took about 1.5 hours. From my experience this should only have cost $25 maybe $35. I cant vouch for there mechanic services but its probably expensive to.UPDATE: The next day someone called me from the shop and said that I was over charged by 9 dollars and they were going to credit the money back to my credit card. This makes the overall price more reasonable and says something to the overall integrity of this place. As a result I am adding 2 stars.

I was treated with professionalism and great service. I was given an appointment for the next day, was contacted with an estimate and advised when car was ready, which was before the time requested. All salesmen at the shop were very friendly and inviting especially, Jim, TJ and Mark. I will continue to bring my car there for all my auto needs.

They didnt carry the brand I needed but the gentleman behind the desk still went above and beyond to get me a comparable price. He didnt have to. I would definitely recommend this place just on the customer support.

I went to Barnwell in Mineola to have a Continental tire with a sidewall bubble replaced under its road hazard warranty. Despite not originally purchasing the damaged tire from Barnwell, they were very helpful in getting my claim filed with Continental and replacing my tire the same day. Both Jim and Mark were friendly, courteous and professional. Wish I had gone there sooner. Will definitely be returning based on the great service I received.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. The people there are NOT HONEST. Mechanics are crooks and the frontman try to upsell everything possible. Very expensive oil change, try to con me into that my brake & rotor need replacement (I just had them replaced few months ago). Then they try to tell me I need other unnecessary services and I told them all I need is a fast oil change. Wait for over 2 hours to get a simple job done. Totally professional and bunch of crooks. AVOID AT ALL COST & Take your money else where!
