We lived a block away so this was our local market for the quick needs in between larger grocery shopping trips and for everyday needs like smokes or milk. The staff was quick to recognize us as regulars and treated us like family. Husband and Wife own and work the store daily, always pleasant and friendly!

Overall a decent store with a lot of variety. I have found plenty of items being sold here that are way past the expiration date. Please stop cutting corners.

If you are Bengali and looking for indian fish varieties, this is the place to go to. Fishes are frozen but you will find hilsa (ilish), rohu, pomphret and many more!!!

I just love this store so much! I live by the Mayfair Mall and at times I want to make dinner a little different and make some Indian food! Well there is an Indian grocery store close by but the staff is horrible and the product is just not good. I will make this special trip anytime just to see the people over here, so kind and well behaved and to top it off the store is very clean and the products are amazing. The items are well kept. I have read the other reviews from a couple years back saying that everything is horrible, but it is not! But to all the people who think this is a bad store, it is not, the whole store has changed and is 10000 times better that before. I absolutely love this store and the staff! I would give this an overall 1000/10, that how awesome it is. :) :) :0)

Best indian foods and groceries to buy

Got all the items under one roof. Competitive pricing. Been there twice now in the last 3 weeks. Vegetables are fresh enough and most of the Indian vegetables were available. Even indian style baby food items that I couldnt find at other places were also available. Glad we found this place via a Friend.

They have so much awesome things there. The service is wonderful. Fresh vegetables and fruit. Bath, incense, candles, beverages, and special ingredients to make homemade Indian food and sweets.

This store did a really awesome upgrade. Got everything I was looking for. Reasonable prices. Very clean. Cleaner than before I would say... and the staff is really helpful. I would recommend this store if one is looking for authentic all Indian grocery.

It used to be good. Prices are higher now, but still better than most Indian grocery stores. A bigger problem is having expired products still on the shelf. I went to return such product and all I got was an OK from the lady at the counter. When I went to get a replacement, everything on the shelf was past expiration. I got another OK, when I mentioned it. The old couple who ran the store used to be better and responsible. The new lady is on the phone half the time and has poor people skills.

Very nice Indian/Pakistan grocery, spice, vegetable, and fruit store. It housed in a former Open Pantry, so its quite jammed packed with to many would be considered exotic spices. Definitely worth checking out!!

Indian community of locality knows this is the place to get anything you need from India for your Indian recipe. The owners are very friendly and helpful to locate any item that you can not find. The rates are reasonable and items are clean and fresh.

Very good ethnic grocery store. All kinds of Indian and Pakistani spices available here. American grocery and alcoholic beverages are also available here. Weekends are really busy so parking could be hard to find but street parking is free.

The best for Indian grocery in Milwaukee. You will find most of the items that you dont in other stores. Also, in smaller quantities too so you dont have to over buy. I did not find few veggies fresh though. They are better in other stores. Found guava, papaya, tapioca which I did not in other stores.

I cant go back into this store, every time I have stepped into the store they are so very rude to me. They stare at me, dont answer my questions, but are glad to take my money. Both the man and the woman behind the counter are equally as rude. Is it because I am white, is it because I am a woman, is it because I am gay. Although I live so close to this store, I will gladly make the trip out to Indian Spices and Groceries on North Ave and Mayfair Road because I am treated with respect there. Plus the selection is 100% better.

The rice I brought was very old and the worst I had eaten in my life! They should check their stock often to make sure they don’t sell such old products. We drove over 2 hr to get some Indian grocery and I was left with a bag of rice (20 lb!) that can’t be used in anyways. Very disappointed ☹️

They have almost everything you could want from a desi store. The aisles are narrow but the choices are aplenty. The prices are ok. The quality is generally good.

The picture on Google maps is old - the building has been remodeled and it is an all brick front. There is a great variety of Indian/Pakistani food. The staff is helpful and polite. The last time I was there, there was an episode that demonstrated the nature of the cultural mix in Milwaukee. I had stopped to buy some soanpapdi and was unable to find it so I asked at the checkout counter. The clerk called out: Hey Pedro, will you show him the soanpapdi?

Its a good place to find different types of beans and grain, however,so many items are more expensive than similar stores.

I just moved from Gary, Indiana to the Franklin area. I stumbled upon this store when my friends were telling me about how great of a service they received. I went in around 8:55 and took my sweet time looking around the store when the Lady at the cash register made the extra efforts to introduce herself, and to also ask if I needed any assistance. She helped me pick out some groceries, and even had a nice gentleman from the back assist me in putting the groceries in my car. Needless to say not only did I receive great service from the Best Foods Staff, but the prices here are also very competitive with the neighboring Stores around the area. For example, when I went to stores like Sasta Bazar, and even India Bazar they marked up their products a little bit more than the folks at Best Food did. Im looking forward in coming back next week to do some more shopping there!
