This is pretty much the only place for Indian groceries around, but as many people have mentioned in their reviews, they sell lots of expired products. On top of this, the aisles are cramped, and the merchandise is just scattered around in a mess. It’s not super clean either. There are some decent products, and a nice selection, but the quality is questionable, and the store itself is just uncomfortable to navigate. The staff were very friendly though.

This store is playing with people’s health for money.I was sold an expired “kurkure”.This store is putting stickers and labels over manufacture dates and selling expired products.When I opened the packet that I bought and tasted it, it smelled weird. So I took off the sticker behind to see the manufacture date, after looking at it I was shocked.The product expired around 9 months ago. It was manufactured in Aug 2020, and is best before 4 months from manufacture date. I literally ate few pieces of cancer without being aware of this.Be aware before buying anything here, double check the expiration date before checkout, else you’ll be putting your health in risk.

Purchased for the first time, owner is a friendly person. Worker is helping to find the items. I travelled 3 hours to buy the groceries as there is no Indian stores near my place. Some stock is good, some are old stock. I think they didnt change the old stock and selling them. Its better to check the expiration date and quality of it when you are buying from this store. I got sick after eating old stock food. Kindly replace the old stock and make the stock fresh so customers can visit your store frequently.

This place has just about EVERYTHING you could possibly need in the Lower East Side of Milwaukee, and then many imported surprises you never knew you needed in the first place. If you love to cook, youll find Bharat Mart a delight. The folks who own it are super nice people, too.

Lots of character and they had the large pearl tapioca I was looking for. Cleanliness is questionable but its a tiny place so its not a place to browse and linger....you are there to get and go.

This local Indian grocery store is a great place to grab quick groceries, hard to find ingredients for a specific Indian recipe, or authentic pre-made meals.

Great selection for such a tiny store. So happy to find Maharaja beer there! Also a very good selection of other kinds of beer there!

The collection of vegetables is not as huge as some other Indian stores but it still has enough variety for a quick shopping experience. Great selection of beers (Ottos level), no other Indian store can possibly match that. If you are not into Indian spices, curries etc, go visit for trying unique set of beers.

Nice variety of spices grains and multiple brands of true Indian rice packed into a smallish store. Did not check too closely but craft beer selection seems extensive. From black cardamon to pampadum have fun exploring.

Nice and friendly neighborhood Indian store. The prices are low as compared to other stores in town. I always find whatever I need.

It’s a well kept place, but beware, not everything that shines is gold. I’ve found expired items multiple times and here is the fun part...they’re fine to break the law and still keep those items even after I reported them.That apart, most of the items are expensive compared to other Indian stores. The beer selection is sure good, but does price and quality matter when you want to just get drunk.

I love this store. They have a great selection of craft beers and have introduced me to so many new Indian foods. They are always really helpful. Its run by the family that owns it, so I feel better giving them my business than the big grocery stores around town when Im out on a beer run. A++ place!

Im not Indian, but I do love their spices and food. Its a great place if youre are looking for great spices. They have other food there too, but not as much variety as other Indian marts I have been to.

The right place for whats needed.

It seems as if one of the staff wants to purposefully drive away customers. The moment my siblings and I stepped into the store, she positioned herself behind us, started following us, and ignored the other customers. To add to the bad service, when asked questions, she responded with condescending answers or not at all. Its a shame that she feels its okay to treat fellow humans like that, and I wonder if she would still think it was okay if she was at the receiving end of her behavior. That was my first time in the store and Ill definitely not be returning!

The owner is the best and they have a very unique inventory of Indian food and spices. Also have a great beer selection with the best prices in the neighborhood and there is never a wait.
