A great place to work and enjoy downtown! Perfect location with great prices :) the service is top notch too. I’ve had their drip coffee, a latte, and a bagel and I’ve been nothing but impressed. I’ll be back soon!
Very cheap and delicious bagels!Coffee is strong and fresh.Outdoor seating is outstanding - along with a very kind staff.10/10 recommend
Only gluten free food option is an egg bowl. Was good. Coffee is always amazing.
Nice place, very friendly and helpfull people. The coffee and the bakery are awesome. I can only highly recommend the cinnamon rolls!!
If the leadership werent a bunch of union busters, Id still be giving yall my business. Alas.I suggest going to Anodyne if you like good coffee AND workers rights.
Theres really something for everyone here: fresh-baked goods, all types of coffee including a nice pour over selection, above-average sandwiches, and friendly, coffee-whispering staff all housed in a rustic/industrial space with a pleasant vibe. If crowded, dont overlook the bar with seating hidden back between where orders are placed and the kitchen.
Great place for coffee and breakfast. Have choice for lunch to but I love ther breakfast sandwich
I frequent this Colectivo location a lot. It has limited seating indoors, but the interior has a really fun industrial atmosphere and when the weather is nice they can open up the front wall to the sidewalk letting all the fresh air in creating hybrid indoor-outdoor seating. My favorite food option is the baked oatmeal, I probably have it once a week. My favorite drink is their spiced cider, but its seasonal so you can not get it year round. The double cheese grilled cheese sandwich with tomato is really good. I have had their green hornet smoothie a few times, but it is consistently not blended enough (Maybe a bad blender? Please fix!). You cant go wrong with any of there fresh-baked goods. There is something here for everyone!
Absolutely love this place! The staff is so kind and helpful. All the specialty drinks are bomb. I had the Dolce de Leche iced latte (with oat milk) and my husband had the Windy Ci-tea. There’s a lot of bar seating as well as low tables for doing work. If you haven’t had a pastry from Troubadour Bakery—also owned by Colectivo—you gotta do it. This is a great place to hang out and escape the crowds across the street at the Public Market. Always impressed by the quality of coffee and service at any Colectivo location!
One drink was forgotten and the other had to be re made. Out of the bread I wanted. Bring back the salmon sandwich. There are dried out samples in the display case. Everyone was friendly. The app was frustrating to use
Colectivo always does a wonderful job with their locations, interiors, food & coffee. I tried their new sandwich, the cauliflower banh mi, and thought it was really good! However, a bit too messy for me to order it again. This particular location is on the busy side with limited seating and few plugs for laptop/phone. It can get jam packed & quite loud inside. Was also bothered by a person going table to table and pandering for money. There are public restrooms available in the side hallway. Friendly accommodating staff. The Hop train goes to this location via St Paul. Parking is tough, but meters are located directly out front (quarter style). I would say...come to this location with a friend, to sit in the window, and watch the activity outside on St Paul. Not so good for being productive & peaceful.
This place is great. My girlfriend and I just finished our breakfast burritos and they were SO good. The southwest burrito was the best! Coffee is nice and strong as well. I got a extra large black coffee and drank every drop! Its a shame that such a lovely place and building will be going out of business 😔. Best of luck to everyone there. They were all very nice.
Good drip coffee and breakfast sandwiches.
Went there and ordered a avocado BLT on sourdough bread. Received a blt WITHOUT AVOCADO, and on WHOLE GRAIN bread. What the heck colectivo I thought I could trust you guys😖
My favorite shop in Mikwaukee. This place was so good, I ate breakfast there every day while in Milwaukee. Their breakfast burritos are top notch and the vibe inside is super chill. I asked for something off the menu, the Mexican Madness, and was blown away. One of the best spicy mochas I had in my life. I wish they opened up some of these in New York!
Solid coffee and good vibes.
Its Colectivo. Nuff said...
This place can be so so. Sometimes Ill have a very friendly cashier who makes suggestions on what to order. I came here about 2 weeks ago and another cashier was just an order taker with no smile. I dont like that. More than likely Ill return and Ill still recommend this place. I ordered a hot chocolate with a salmon sandwich. It was just okay to me, nothing special and probably wont order again.
Super helpful staff and a great selection of drinks and treats.
Located in the third ward. We walked from our Hyatt Regency hotel. Nice walk. Clean old refurbished building. Small but nice. The bag coffee they sell I was told was roasted at their other location on Lakeshore. My husband got coffee and I a latte. Both were very good. He had a Mexican roast, I caramel. They do use paper cups ( better for the environment than styrofoam) so after you get it, Covid19, dump it into a reusable mug. Gets cold fast. Under normal circumstances they may put it in a reusable mug for you. The customer service was wonderful and it was clean.
Our service is very friendly, and our orders were accurate and delicious. But they got my friend and eyes names wrong, and were wondering how that even happened. I thought I got the wrong order, but it was handed to me while the person was making eye contact, so I took it, and it was my order. Im thinking maybe they give nicknames to people, since they did it to both me and my friend. I dont know.
Every other Colectivo location would get a 5 star from me, but this particular location seriously messed up our order and pretty much blew us off when we called about the inaccuracies. Of an order of 6 items, 3 were wrong — a sandwich replaced the burrito I ordered, my drink was incorrect, and I ordered a brownie but was given some sort of oat bar with nuts. Don’t bother with this place, it’s worth the drive to go to a different Colectivo.
I travel all over the country... and coffee is my thing. Colectivo is the only chain I get so excited to go visit! The quality of coffee is amazing! The pastries are fresh and uniquely amazing. They have things like zucchini bread and raspberry filled scones. The staff at this location are very friendly and courteous. The shop is clean, and in nice area. Love love this place!
This place is clean, eclectic, fun with wonderful service! The food and coffee is delicious. My husband had the baja bowl with both an espresso and Gala tea and I had a turkey pesto sandwich with an iced vanilla/caramel latte. I loved sitting with the sunshine and breeze coming in on us, it was perfect.
Hands down my favorite coffee. Love the atmosphere at the third ward store. Always have a great selection of bakery and food there. Treat yourself to the orange dream drink. The flavor is amazing. Do have to say pretty much everyone I have dealt with at any of the stores have been very kind and know their jobs.
I really liked the vibe of this place. They had the front opened up so the tables inside were all open air. Good playlist going. They have a lot of different coffee varieties you can buy, and they were mostly roasted within 1-2 weeks. I got whatever their daily espresso was, and it was okay. If I lived in the area I would probably be on the lookout for other place, but I wouldnt mind stopping in here if I was close by.
I cannot recommend ordering food there. My wife is a vegetarian and has several food allergies. She ordered a vegetarian burrito at the cash register. She waited for her food, and after it arrived she again confirmed with the guy handing over my food that it is for sure the vegetarian burrito she ordered.Starting to eat her burrito, it was definitely a meat burrito that she did not order. She consumed half of the burrito and starting to realize it was not the burrito she ordered. As a consequence, she felt sick all day not able to eat any sort of food. They apologized for it; but I think mistakes like that are absolutely not supposed to happen. Serving a vegetarian a meat burrito after confirming if it is the right burrito should definitely not happen. We wont be going there again.
The place is great for its coffee and small talk. There is a place to stand or sit on chairs. You can have a water on a self-service counter. Good place overall in the historic Third ward.
I love this place. Ive been coming to these guys since 2005 back when it was still Alterra. The only thing thats rough about this location that I have a complaint about it the lack of outlets. Ive had to leave before because I couldnt get access to one and Ive also seen other customers searching around looking for an outlet but couldnt find one.Other than that, I love this place and I love that they brought back the grilled cheese :-)
Nice location, good for a quick cup or even to hang out a little bit. The staff are always helpful and the outdoor seating is pretty cool. Live colectivo coffee and even though this is one of their smaller locations it doesnt skimp out on the quality!
Best coffee in the world! Love my Colectivo.
I would give this establishment zero stars if possible. My husband and I had the worst experience ever. The cashier was extremely rude. We were not aware the coffee shop closed 13 minutes after we ordered and the cashier was a bit nasty about it. She was ok when her friend came into the coffee shop though. She laughed and chatted with them for quite some time. Then, they bought coffee. This was a waste of time, money and a tip!
Go every morning before work....it makes me feel like an adult and part of the world. We all need that every once in awhile...
This location is so great. Theres extra seating behind the bar that most people never notice- give it a shot!
My favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood and all of Chicago. It has an amazing terrace with a fire pit for cold days. The baked goods are amazing and also the sandwiches.and the coffee is the best in town! They really have good beens and know how to prepare it well!!
Good coffee, good food, cozy and calm atmosphere - everything you want in a coffee shop! Very busy place. My only negative, though its a big one for me, is everyone can use both bathrooms.
Im not actually a coffee drinker but I love their chai. Its not as sweet as some but still has a delicious, spiced flavor. I also appreciate that they offer a true small that is only 8 oz. The staff is always friendly and welcoming.
Everyone is very nice and courteous. Fast service and delicious food and drinks.
Employees were friendly and helpful when I asked questions. The shop is clean and cozy. The food and beverage I ordered were delicious! Well done!
Me and my wife came in At around 650.... As soon as we got in, we didnt feel welcomed at all. No hello, or anything.. Then after 1 minute of looking at the menu, the lady at the register rudly said, we close in 9 minutes.... So precise with the time. BTW, me and my wife are an interracial couple, a few minutes later an ALL WHITE couple came in and were greeted happily and were not rushed. BTW we also gave a 2 dollar tip, why? Im not sure why. Finally when we got our shakes, the lady brought them out, and placed them on the counter so rudely and when we said thank you she quickly turned her back and walked away.... What started off as an excitement quickly turned into major disappointment .. I will never ce back here again. And they say support the local shops.. Well, I never got this kinda treatment from McDonalds. .. But from a local shop .. Psst. . This place I will never come to again
They have different sandwiches to choose from, love the grilled cheese sandwich I usually grab something here before I go to work. The place was great too and the people were nice.
Friendly service, solid breakfast menu and a really cool vibe. A great place to stop off for a morning coffee or to hang and do some work. Great proximity to the public market across the street.
Love this spot
They have the best breckfast sandwiches!
Best deal for a hearty bowl of soup in the area. The burritos are delicious as well. Great coffee drinks of course. Staff is always friendly.
Good coffee but took 30 minutes to get a pour over. It was busy, but 10-12 people ordered after me and got theirs before me. Staff swore they didnt forget mine; the cup just sat there on the counter. Didnt have any place to be so I didnt make a fuss, but still...
Lots of unique coffees and great staff and atmosphere. Would highly recommend
Service is always fast and the food is what sets Colectivo apart from other coffee shops in the area. The salmon breakfast sandwich on sourdough is my go-to. They also offer falafel and other vegetarian options. Perfect place for a good cup of coffee and a nice breakfast or lunch.
I love the space here great for meetings, lunch and just working peacefully.
As good as any colectivo. Drip coffee is solid, but not quite at the level of the independent roasters.
I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door pleasantly. Clean environment and good for focusing on work or meetings. Coffee was good as well.
Delicious iced tea. The weather was beautiful and the garage-style doors were open. We sat outside and enjoyed the sights of the beautiful Third Ward.
I absolutely love coming to the Third Ward, and to know there’s a Colectivo Coffee right in the heart makes it that much better. I’m always greeted by the nicest people and the atmosphere is great. Favorite spot to go every time I’m downtown.
Love this local coffee house. I really loved the Mama Bear coffee for Mothers day.
Gets a little busy because its across from the public market, but the service is good, quick, and friendly
No complaints! One bit of CC:Educate your staff about matcha tea. They always look at me funny when I order it with hot water rather than as a matcha latte, and proceed to explain to me what matcha tea is. It is commonly drank as a hot water tea worldwide!
Colectivo has the best coffee in Milwaukee, hands down. They also have surprisingly good food for a coffee shop. Another small detail that I love about this shop is carbonated water on tap. Colectivo is a must-try!
They casher was well informed the coffee was great exactly what I needed he gave just what I need I told him what I wanted and he gave coffee based on my suggestion service and quality of food was excellent 👍
Got the Cole brew and it was stale and bitter, not smooth at all. I went to a lot of coffee this weekend and this was second to the hotel... Not recommended.
Wonderful place! Everything was so good. Stopped for a quick bite and coffee. I will be back for sure.
One of my favorite coffee shops in Milwaukee. I would recommend their frozen mocha!!! It has a hip setting and the people are great!
Always great, never disappointed. Great coffee, relaxed atmosphere, awesome pastries...what else could you ask for? You can sit at the coffee bar, in the cozy dining room our outside and people watch while you sip on your beverage. They also have hot breakfast and lunch options as well as beer! Its a one stop stay all day coffee shop. Do yourself a favor and grab a bag of co-optiva for home, an ice coffee and an Avacado BLT for lunch. You can thank me later.
Loved the coffee options here. Pour overs were 10/10 and the staff were cool and chill. Ill come back for sure
Nice location! Good coffee and chilli!
Good vibe with good coffee. Havent tried any of the food or pastries but they look good.
My mom had a brownie here and I thought she was going to have a heart attack because it was good. There isnt a ton of seating, but the food and the coffee and their various drink selection are great. The brownie itself apparently warrants a five star rating.
LINE OUT THE DOOR.....KIIINDA!? Its TINY. lol Because its one of the smaller of the Colectivo locations it was harder for me to rate. In the summertime its fine because there is a sitting area outside but Id imagine it has to get cramped QUICK in the winter. It has the same laid back vibe as the others though.
Colectivo is a great Milwaukee roaster and their location in the third ward across from the public market is a great spot. The streetcar runs right past and they have some outdoor seating that even has some heaters for colder months.
Love this place. So much better than Starbucks, it’s more affordable, better quality in food and service
Friendly and helpful baristas that make great cup of coffee.
Quick service for the amount of people that were there. That being said not many places to sit once it gets busy, which is understandable. Latte was good and will come back soon.
Great place for coffee and breakfast. They have a great choice of healthy starts to the morning as well as a barrista who actually makes the drinks. All n all a great place to go.
Love the pesto mozzarella sandwich. I have worked remotely here a few times, and appreciate the atmosphere. Busy, but not crowded.
Clean coffee shop. Colectivo coffee will always be a favorite of mine. I always ask for mine to be a hint weaker than normal though. It seems to be the tiniest bit too strong for my liking.
Staple MKE coffee, a bit smaller but still great place to grab a bite and caffinate.
Good latte. Nice staff.
One of their newer cafes, they did a nice job converting the space. The coffee and tea are good and the staff has always been really friendly. Not bad for a quick lunch too, decent sandwich menu.
I drank a Cortado here on my way to a dance club. The cortado was amazing. At the dance club however, I found he DJ to be repetitive and boring. If I could remember the name of the dance club, I’d review it also. But I can’t. So just beware, there’s a dance club out there that is 3 stars out of 5 at BEST.
A lively cafe with a broad menu, breakfast bowls, breakfast sandwiches, good baked goods, drip coffee, pour-over coffee.
