We went to Carpet & Tile by the Mile for our downstairs flooring in 2015 and went back this past Spring for tile for our kitchen. Denise was so helpful in both instances helping us figure out what would work best for our space. Of course our 2020 experience was a bit different- we were able to get in touch with Denise to make an appointment and safely view tile options. Flooring arrived quickly, and the customer service and attention to detail is something you cant get at HD or Lowes. We couldnt be happier and highly recommend!

Such a great variety of products in all price ranges. Friendly staff that take the time to listen to what you need and want and also can give you some design help to make the room come together. I had my entire rental home floored by Carpet and Tile and will have them update it all once again. All of the work was done professionally, fast and they left the home clean. She didn’t make the sale. As soon as we entered I knew she didn’t want to be bothered. No hello until 5mins later although the place was empty. We were looking for a stair runner— a certain pile height and I showed her a picture...she just said we don’t have that here and did not provide a solution. A better sales person would have suggested similar options or designs.She also made a very rude comment, “this is what 2million dollar homes use” this is not a good strategy. 2million dollar homes does not suggest good taste or quality. Unfortunately the options here looked very dated. However, I know a good sales person would have perhaps turned this experience around to benefit both parties, providing suggestions, color and or texture. Zero effort=zero sales

I highly recommend this place - best tile experience ever! I just remodeled my kitchen and after having selected the countertop, I thought the hard decisions were done. Not so. Turns out the backsplash was even more challenging. Good grief, how do I draw it all together? A family member recommended I take a look at “Carpet and Tile by the Mile.” The minute I walked in I was excited. The showroom has so many choices and styles to choose from, yet it was comfortable and easy to look around. I narrowed down the main tile for the backsplash, but I was stumped by the accent and decorative tiles. I started working with Denise and in two visits she helped me realize the vision and bring the whole project together. Her honest, specific guidance coupled with her design experience, brought my kitchen to life. She paid attention to the details, sifted through my ideas and advised me on all aspects, including installation tips. The price was fair and the tiles arrived within a week after ordering. After being ignored by the sales reps at some stores that had less than stellar selections, I found Carpet and Tile by the Mile. My shopping experience was transformed.Denise wasnt at all pushy, she let me browse the store at my own pace. At the other stores, I walked around for a half hour with no one offering any help. Employees were standing around talking to one another, and ignoring the one and only customer in their store - me. Denise greeted me when I entered, let me browse for a bit, and then offered help. What I like most is that she listened to gain an understanding of what I wanted. She didnt push her ideas on me and showed me tiles that fit my wants and needs.Some of the other stores were larger in square footage, but didnt have nearly the selection as Carpet & Tile By the Mile. Here, I found several tiles fit my needs and style so making the decision was actually tough. It was fun having a selection of tiles versus feeling like I had to settle for the one tile I saw that I liked, which was the case at the other stores.After just one visit to the store, Denise remembered my name and my project. Once I placed my order, she kept me up to date on the tile delivery. Her attention to detail was outstanding and I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to find a large selection of quality tiles.Should I renovate another room, I will definitely go here for my flooring needs.

Denise and Trevor were wonderful to work with for our carpeting. This was our first house and we wanted to install carpet while protecting hardwood as much as possible underneath. They were very helpful for the carpet options. I can not recommend them enough. We also had an issue after the fact from the hardwood underneath and they were helpful with options for coming back to remove carpet while we have someone come in to repair the hardwood.

Trevor and Denise, the owners, know the true meaning of first class customer service. They made our carpet selection, purchase and installation a very pleasant experience. We made our selection on a Monday morning, Trevor was out to our home that same afternoon to do the measuring and three days later our carpet was installed. After an initial order of tile for our guest bath, we were short a few tiles and unfortunately the stock was not the same. The Team was very helpful in looking into what options were available and made sure we were satisfied with the overall experience. Trevor and Denise are a good team. They answered so many out of the ordinary questions as we have had so many issues with having tile floor. We’ve had 3 tile floors in a 10 year span. The last being done only two years ago failed again.They did what they promised in the time line promised. I was pleased during installation that there was no obscenities screamed or loud music. I was able to understand everything in English and not have to translate a foreign language.They did a careful neat job and at a reasonable price. Before leaving daily they cleaned up and came back after the floor sat for the weekend to identify any issues that they may have not addressed. Quality control was great there work was neat and professional. Trevor went the extra mile to insure the quality of the floor. He identified previous floor faults and assured me this would be the last floor. This was music to our ears. Trevor and Jeff made sure everything was perfect without making you feel you were picky or particular.My husband who is extremely hard to please was happy with this job and that’s not something I hear often. There are so many contractors that do their job and move on without taking the time for finishing the details. This in my opinion makes you walk away saying I made the right/wrong choice.Give them an opportunity to show you quality and they come through shining. Trevor was great. He and his worker took out the old carpet and installed my new. Our room was freshly painted and not ONE nick. They cleaned up after themself. Will recommend them to anyone who is looking for quality work and quality carpet.

I found this place via Google and am glad I came in for my bathroom remodel. Denise, the owner, was super helpful and very knowledgeable about tile. I loved being able to give her pics of bathrooms I found online and she would show me almost exactly what I was looking for. She even kept my budget in mind and the tile I ended up with was quite reasonably priced. She was very open and honest, which was greatly appreciated when it comes to these things. She was very responsive over email, which helped me a lot.Its a family business so they dont keep consistent store hours. My tip would be to call ahead or email them to make sure someone is there. They are pretty accommodating. I would definitely come back for my next remodel.

I was recommended to Carpet and Tile from a friend, I did a quick google search and the reviews were stellar! I headed right over. I liked right off the bat, the prices shown in the showroom included padding and install. I picked out a gorgeous carpet to put throughout my home in several rooms and a staircase, he came to measure the rooms the next night. That appointment took about 15 minutes! I received an estimate the following day and was totally stoked!!! The carpet was a special order and was installed within 6 business days!!! I am beyond pleased with the result of my carpets- it truly made our house a home!!! : D

We purchased tile for our bathroom 10 years ago and needed a replacement tile. Believe it or not, Carpet and Tile still sells the tile we needed after 10 years. You will never find that at the big home improvement stores and youll never get the service that you get from Carpet & Tile. We recently purchased carpet and had it installed in our basement/family room. Everything was done timely and efficiently which is rare today if youve had any experience getting things done for your home or business. We highly recommend checking them out for any flooring needs!

Purchased and installed carpet in a new construction home. Single installer struggled to bring carpet in home. The result was that he scratched the hell out of brand new stained woodwork in home. In addition, the installer left without vacuuming carpet. Instead he left a significant mess behind, including remnants. I contacted store to communicate my concern and was told that, carpets are large, heavy and have a rough backing...damage may be part of the installation. She was quick to inform me of a hold no-harm waiver that we signed. Little did I know that they employ incompetent installers...my fault. She agreed that it would make sense to have two persons carry the carpet into a home. However, that was not their practice.There are better options available. My counsel is to not use Carpet & Tile By the Mile of Milford, CT. Any savings in product will be offset by repair costs to fix the damages created by their installers.

We purchased our tile and had the install done by Carpet & Tile by The Mile. They came highly recommended by my sister. With so many options, we felt so overwhelmed. I met with owner, Denise Van Hise, to select the best tile for our bathroom space. Denise convinced me that getting a 12 x 12 tile opposed to the smaller tiles that you typically see in bathrooms would give the appearance of a larger space and she was right! Trevor suggested installing the tiles in a diagonal pattern and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. We consistently get compliments and inquiries about our bathroom floor.Denise and Trevor are very professional and personable to deal with and the installation came out beautiful. They clearly you take pride in their business and services. Their knowledge and advice was invaluable in our process. I continue to refer my friends and family to them for their carpet and tile needs.

My husband and I ran into a snag with a sink replacement in our bathroom and needed to replace a few tiles. Since the tile is original to the house (1950) we thought we’d go to a tile store specifically to try and find a match. When we entered the store we were treated in a very rude and brusque manner. It wasn’t a conversation. I’m not even sure who we spoke with, but the guy basically told us we were wasting our time and cut them ourselves and buy a whole box for $100, and we didn’t want to deal with that, did we?Definitely not the customer service I expected and as new home owners, they lost a future customer. Would not recommend to anyone.

Carpet installation guy was very rude and was not ready to clean up the mess after carpet installation. Single guy struggling to get the job done .very disappointing and never recommend this store to anyone again.
